Living in this building has been an absolute nightmare and easily one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. Basic maintenance is completely broken. It took MONTHS to get something as fundamental as a kitchen sink fixed, and that’s just one example. At least eight separate things in the apartment have been broken or malfunctioning during my time here, many of which took far too long to address—or were never properly fixed at all. You’re constantly chasing management just to get basic, livable conditions. The amenities are a joke. Hot tubs are frequently broken despite being advertised as a major perk. What you’re paying for on paper simply does not exist in reality. Parking is another disaster. Despite paying a premium, residents are given awful, inconvenient parking spots with little explanation or flexibility. It feels arbitrary and careless. Security is severely lacking. Packages are routinely stolen, including by homeless individuals who are able to access the building far too easily. This has happened repeatedly, and management’s response has been indifferent at best. On top of all that, the building feels more like a poorly regulated hotel than a residential community due to constant Airbnb traffic. There’s nonstop turnover, noise, strangers in common areas, and zero sense of safety or community. If you’re looking for a stable place to actually live—look elsewhere. For the price this building charges, the level of neglect is unacceptable. Management is reactive instead of proactive, slow instead of accountable, and seemingly unconcerned with resident experience once the lease is signed. I strongly urge anyone considering this building to think twice. There are far better options at this price point that won’t leave you dealing with endless maintenance issues, security concerns, and frustration.

10/14 Community Manager in person confirmed unit I am moving into has the work completed and is move-in ready for tomorrow (we signed this lease 3 weeks ago) 10/15 Move-in day. Leasing consultant gave us the keys, and upon first inspection we noticed - it is not move in ready. There is extensive water damage with potential mold, not re-painted, damage to the countertops, cat hair everywhere (we were assured there were no pets with prior tenants), and mildew under water dispenser. Lease consultant has emailed us saying sorry, we can either wait for them to do their maintenance during the time we are paying our rent for a place we cannot move into, or we can break the lease with no penalty. Total bullshit, they had plenty of time to get this done and they didn’t. The bare minimum they could offer is to give a rent concession for the time it takes for them to make the apartment habitable. 10/16 Management did not want to fix the problems. Instead told us, “why would you want to live here? Just cancel your lease.” Management did not want to follow through on their end of the lease agreement and preferred we just cancelled. So we left. Insane experience. They pushed us out. Lease terminated and now I’m sure I’m going to have to chase them down for our security deposit back. Do NOT rent here. Go elsewhere. They are irresponsible. I recently toured Stella Apartments and initially decided to move forward, I paid a $500 holding deposit, but later chose to cancel within the 48-hour cancellation period outlined in their policy. I was told I’d receive my refund within 21 days, yet it’s now been over six weeks, and I still haven’t received my money back. Their team has been completely unresponsive — no replies to my emails, no returned calls, and no accountability. It feels incredibly poorly managed and disorganized, and the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. I’m still out $500 and waiting for a refund that was promised weeks ago. If you’re considering leasing here, I’d strongly recommend proceeding with caution.

It’s honestly absurd that you can pay $5,000 a month here and not be allowed to use the amenities you’re paying for when you actually need them. I had an important morning meeting and couldn’t take it from any of the building’s lounges or conference rooms because they don’t open until 9 a.m. And the pool? Closes at 9 p.m. sharp. So apparently you can’t start your day early or unwind after work. To make it worse, the building security guard actually kicked me, a paying adult resident, out of the pool like I was some teenager sneaking in. These restrictions make zero sense for what this place charges. You market “luxury amenities,” but what’s the point if they’re literally inaccessible during normal hours people actually live their lives?

They won’t return your “fully refundable” holding deposit, even if you give notice well within the window. I’ve been chasing mine for 3 months with no luck. UPDATE: as of early summer it seems they’ve been under new management, and it’s night & day how much more responsive they’ve been. Alec helped me get the refund I’d been waiting ~5 months for, in a little under a month. Before I felt like I dodged a bullet not living here, but with new management, I would absolutely consider this lovely community if I ever need to move again. Thanks! Quick impression of the community: the rooms and community were great, and prices felt very fair for what you’d get - this was our runner up - but the rooms they had available at that time just didn’t line up with our preferences.

Warning to Potential Tenants and Investors – Unsafe Building, No Management Response This building is currently up for sale, and management has essentially abandoned all responsibility for tenant safety and security. In just the past few weeks: Multiple car thefts, including my own and another tenant’s BMW. Break-ins are happening nightly in the garage and storage units. Just two nights ago, a man carrying a knife was spotted on a tenant’s security camera in the parking garage. Strangers are repeatedly entering the premises, banging on doors in the early hours. Despite these escalating dangers, management has gone completely silent—no updates, no additional security measures, no cooperation with police investigations. It is clear they have chosen to ignore tenant safety because the building is on the market, leaving residents to deal with worsening crime on their own. Prospective buyers and investors should be fully aware: this property is plagued with ongoing security failures and negligent management practices. Any acquisition will require significant investment to address safety, repair trust, and restore livability. Until then, tenants remain exposed to constant risk.

Despite of the low rating and horrible review, we still want to give it a chance and scheduled an apartment tour. We are really looking forward to seeing the unit since it was in a nice area in Marina Del Rey but unfortunately, the agent never showed up. I waited for quite a while and tried calling/texting with no response. There was no heads-up, cancellation notice, or follow-up afterward. It felt like a waste of time and definitely left a bad first impression. Reliable communication is the bare minimum when it comes to housing—especially when potential tenants are taking time out of their day. Very disappointing.
