I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stella Sam Jac Austin, and I can’t speak highly enough about my experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and accommodated every request with a genuine smile. The service was top-notch, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. As for the food, it was absolutely delightful. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell that a lot of thought and care went into each preparation. Whether you’re a fan of bold flavors or more subtle tastes, there’s something for everyone on the menu. It’s clear that this restaurant takes pride in offering a memorable dining experience not just through their excellent service, but through the quality of their food as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Stella Sam Jac Austin for anyone looking for a wonderful meal paired with exceptional service!

Google
To say Stella San Jac is an awesome destination for brunch would be a gross understatement. The food and service are top notch. Service was on point and never waned for even a second. Food was hot, flavorful and hit in every bite. Mimosas and the Bloody Mary are epic. Make certain to get a reservation as Stella San Jac tends to be full at peak brunch hours. The vibe inside is typical Austin brunch: quite loud. The decor is interesting. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. It looks like IKEA met a hotel (it sort of did though) and included a modern cigar lounge in for a throuple situation. Don’t get me wrong, it looks good. Service is impeccable.

Literally the best. Get the chicken and waffle. Our server, Yndira….. simply incredible and very pleasant. You won’t be disappointed. Even management was very welcoming. Loved it.

Google
We made reservations for brunch, but we arrived 25 minutes late on a morning that they were extremely busy. The hostess told us it wasn’t a problem and sat us. Our server, Logan was phenomenal! We loved everything, but appreciated the top notch service most of all!

Wow! This place just exceeded all of my expectations. The food tasted amazing and was plated with care. Service was prompt and professional. Inside had some nice chill vibes. Definitely would go back.

Google
My friends and I were visiting Austin and stopped by Stella San Jac for brunch—everything was amazing! We were served by Yndira, who was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience even better. We ordered the chicken and waffles, biscuits, and deviled eggs, and each dish was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The chicken was crispy, the waffles were light and delicious, the biscuits were warm and buttery, and the deviled eggs were a great touch. Highly recommend if you're in town and looking for a great brunch spot!

Google
Loved the food and atmosphere. Did not feel like a hotel restaurant. Service was friendly. The biscuits were ok not amazing. Wish the grilled cheese didn’t use Hawaiian sweet rolls as the bread - would ask to switch to something else next time because it was way too sweet and overpowering. Best shrimp and grits. Burger amazing. Chicken and waffle excellent. Would definitely return.

Google
Very nice atmosphere… very cutesy, very demure. Crab cake full of CRAB!!! Summer drink was 10/10 highly recommend. YNDIRA WAS AN EXCELLENT SERVER… she came with the recommendations & brought my items out promptly. I love a server that you don’t have to ask for things. Will definitely be back. Don’t hesitate to try this restaurant! It’s a no brainer

Yelp
The server Logan was amazing and the restaurant should be proud of how good his service is amazing

Yelp
Great service, great food and drinks and even a great vibe! Resy made for a Saturday Birthday Brunch, party of 3. There were so many great choices on the drink and food menu. I went with the spritz and it was delicious! You absolutely have to get the biscuits and jam! And that short rib grilled cheese was so yummy!!! We shared our bites and it was the perfect amount. Cannot wait to return for brunch with my friends.

Yelp
We enjoyed our meal here before heading home. It's located inside The Westin, and while the hotel staff wasn't as welcoming as the folks at Stella SJ, our server more than made up for it--he was super friendly and honest with his recommendations. Bonus points to our server for being upfront about the menu (he warned us the chicken fried steak wasn't great, which was disappointing since it's one of my go-to). The chicken and waffles were a hit-good portioned sized. The chicken was well-seasoned, with a crispy batter (though a few pieces were overcooked), and the waffles had a nice vanilla flavor. Their signature biscuit was soft and very well-made. The coffee was a bit bitter for my taste. Surprisingly, the steel-cut oats my fiancé ordered were excellent--flavorful, and the oats were cooked perfectly. I would get that next time if we were to come back.

Yelp
I wanted to start my day with some good food, so I headed to Stella San Jac, located on the first floor of the Westin Hotel and directly connected to the hotel lobby. The restaurant has a modern, sleek atmosphere with an inviting, open layout. I was warmly welcomed by the host and promptly shown to a table. Having already done some research on Yelp, I quickly decided on my order: the avocado toast and a berry smoothie called Rejuvenate, which was listed at the top of the breakfast menu. My breakfast arrived shortly after. The smoothie was served in a glass--smaller than I expected--and while it tasted fresh, it was a bit too thick for my liking. It was okay, but not particularly memorable. The avocado toast, on the other hand, exceeded expectations. Beautifully plated, it featured thick-cut artisan bread generously topped with smashed avocado, heirloom cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, microgreens, and a perfectly poached egg. The flavors were well-balanced, and the textures--from the creamy avocado to the crisp toast--were spot on. It was clear the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully selected. Overall, my morning at Stella San Jac was a pleasant experience: friendly staff, quality food, and an elegant setting made for a great start to the day.

Yelp
Delicious brunch, I would definitely come again! It was completely full for Saturday brunch until it started clearing out at like 12:30, so reservations are recommended. We waited 20-25 minutes for a table, and people after us were give a 40min wait time. There are tables outside though if you're wanting a shorter wait time. I got the energize drink which I was very pleasantly surprised by! It was orange and carrot juice (couldn't really taste the carrot) with a spicy kick of ginger. I don't like green juices/juices that only taste healthy, but this was healthy and tasted good. We got the salmon eggs benedict and the fried chicken and waffles. The fried chicken is made of dark chicken and the spices on the batter are unique and enjoyable. Crisp is on point. Eggs benedict was solid, what you would expect from a benedict! I particularly enjoyed the side arugula salad with sundried tomatoes. Loved the vibe inside! Very classic. Restaurant is located on the first floor of the Westin and the host station is at the entrance facing the corner on the street. Valet parking is typically $22+$10 per additional hour, but the restaurant validates it down to just $10.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking for a breakfast spot and we found it! The breakfast was great, everything tasted so good. The hostess and waitresses were absolutely helpful and friendly. Restaurant was clean, very nice decor.

Yelp
Wow, what an evening! Started off with the biscuits and ceviche - the biscuits are so soft and flaky, and the ceviche was rich and fresh. Really nice compliment to each other with the freshness of ceviche and savoriness from biscuits. I had the spicy shrimp pasta and it was very good. I'm typically a "medium" spice level and this was perfect for me. Of note, they don't have gluten free noodles so if you have an allergy, might be best to choose another dish.... Which the Braised Wagyu and Chicken dishes were off the charts!! My boyfriend's Wagyu plate was clean when he was done eating (HA) We didn't get dessert, but the table next to us ordered a key lime pie slice and it almost made us reconsider (but we were too full). Looking forward to coming back for Brunch!

Yelp
This was our first stop when in Austin. We had an early flight and were super hungry. After looking on Yelp and Tik Tok we settled on going to Stella San Jac. So glad we did. The servers all had on these crazy shirts and we were served by The Sheriff! He was amazing. His recommendations were on point. I don't normally do chicken fried steak but he said it was his favorite. Glad I trusted him. It was delicious. The gravy alone was a star. The chicken and waffles were perfection! Seasoned well and a little spicy with the sweet syrup worked well. The eggs were a little soft for me but thats really just preference. Mimosas to wash it down and we were happy. They are connected to a hotel so it was great to people watch and meet others. This is a must stop in Austin!

Yelp
Smooth ambience, food is fresh and delicious, excellent service. Will return with my family.

Yelp
I don't know who has been doing the reviews but they ain't accurate. The service is slow and the food was a complete miss. From the flavor profiles to the serving portion. It was just a sad sad brunch over all

Yelp
It was a great spot for brunch! We ordered a carafe of mimosas, which came with champagne and a mix of passion fruit juice and orange juice. They also offer other juice options, which was a nice touch. I also had the Energize juice (carrot, orange, and ginger), which was super fresh and refreshing. For food, we started with the biscuits for the table, which were the perfect mix of sweet and savory. For my main, I had the short rib grilled cheese on a Hawaiian roll with smoked cheddar, caramelized onions, and jus, served with fries. The fries were a bit on the salty side, but everything else was absolutely delicious. We also had the pecan praising French toast which I liked as well. Then the grapefruit curd parfait with granola and fruits for the baby. The service didn't particularly stand out, but the overall experience was still great. One thing I really appreciated was the discounted valet for $10, which made parking super convenient. It's also a kid-friendly restaurant, with crayons and coloring sheets to keep little ones entertained. Overall, I'd definitely come back. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food was Ok. Nothing special or memorable but it was a meal. I had the short rib grilled cheese and it was dry and lacked cheese. The others meals were also ok, but not a show stopper. Service was SLOWWWW. Had to ask for our waitress twice as we sat for some time(after receiving boxes) before getting our checks. They didn't split checks so if you go with a group be aware.

Yelp
We went here on Labor Day for a birthday brunch- ultimately food was pretty dang good but the timing was pretty terrible. Maybe it was a holiday thing? We had a reservation at 11 and while our table was free when we arrived it wasn't set, so we had to wait for maybe 7-10 minutes to be seated. I checked in on yelp and requested the free biscuits; then when the server brought our waters he took our drink orders and entree orders at the same time. 20 minutes go by and no drinks, no biscuits. Our entrees came out at the same time as our drinks- now 20 min isn't crazy for entrees but I definitely expected my Paloma and some biscuits to hold me over! The biscuits didn't come out until we had requested the check so we had our server box them up. That being said, service was very friendly and helpful, and the food was great! I got the shrimp and grits and I'm not a huge grits person but with the shrimp, the Creole gravy and the corn and arugula- it was fantastic. Probably the best grits I've had (though I don't order them often). Everyone else was pretty happy with their meals, though I would note the chicken fried steak came with a very skimpy amount of gravy and we had to request more. Also the waffle hash browns with the dish were pretty well done. Overall I'd go again but maybe avoid holidays.

Yelp
What a great place. Very hip and trendy. The food was great. The place was packed but one didn't feel crowded. The server was great. We went because we saw crab hush puppies on the menu. Incredible- 5 stars was solicited and we weren't let down. Following the appetizer was the wagyu special which was short ribs. Done so well. My colleague had the steak frites. A fun evening and worth a trip back.

Yelp
I met a friend here for dinner prior to a show at Antone's, which is conveniently just across the street! We enjoyed the Austin Restaurant Week cocktail. I made a res but it was pretty open in the dining area for a Friday night. I'm glad we sat in the dining area because the bar area was very loud. We had good service and enjoyed our apps. I'd like to go back again to try more items on the menu!

Yelp
When disappointment oozes from one's taste bites it looks like the pictures I'm attaching. I was excited to try Stella San Jac, reading reviews online I saw 4.9 stars! Can't go wrong, I thought. Well I was wrong! I ordered the lemon butter pancakes, and a smoothie. Well they didn't have the smoothie, I learned that when I arrived to pick up my order. I'll say this the Bartender and the gentleman that greeted me at the restaurant made we feel welcome. So that my friends is positive. And the restaurant was a nice looking place BUT those dam* pancakes disappointed me greatly. I think I might re-visit but will not order the pancakes, and I have to admit my first bite was good but as I went through the stack of pancakes they just got more brown and crisper, so yes chef hid his mediocre work and boxed it up and I was the victim. Not good, not good at all. That would usually cause me to never go back to a place but I have a feeling they may be better at lunch and dinner after all most people give these place 4 stars. Makes me say hmm, and wonder. So we'll see if I'm back. Now I have to go get Starbucks...

Yelp
I am traveling out of town on business and popped by here since it was close to my hotel. My server was super friendly and attentive, the ambiance was calming and inviting, and the food was INCREDIBLE. The biscuits were to die for and I had a pomegranate mule as a little treat and it did not disappoint.
google avatar

Brooke P.

Yelp
Breakfast was great! Service was the best here! I had the pecan French toast -- literally bread pudding shaped like French toast ha! The waffle was dry that came w chicken. The biscuits n gravy were okay. 16 biscuits was the best thing by far great vibe here too.

Yelp
Hospitality was amazing and so welcoming, finally a place that gets it when you are dealing with people. Everyone and especially Matt, Jazz and Becky are so good and make for a great experience here. Absolutely a must for brunch (my visit was on a Sunday). My order was the All American breakfast and everything was prepared perfectly. Matt was very impressive with his knowledge of the menu and his responsiveness. Jazz is amazing so helpful and made me feel at home. Becky has the biggest heart and welcomed me with open arms. I'm so happy I had brunch here. In the future I'm sure they will offer Huevos rancheros!
google avatar

Kelly Y.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my friends and we are obsessed with the biscuits I ordered the French toast but it was more on the soggy side and wasn't my favorite. One of my friends got the chicken and waffles and that was delicious! Our waitress was newer but she did a fantastic job and was very sweet. Will come back and try something else!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Stopped in for brunch, waited around 15 mins to get helped. Our order eventually gets put in, but had to flag our server down. French toast came out burnt, rather than being apologetic about the quality, our server seemed really condescending and did not understand why we would want it to be remade. Eventually, we just cancelled the order, as service had been and would continue to be slow.
google avatar

Ellen B.

Yelp
Had lunch here and it was great! Started out with bloody Mary with the perfect amount of spice. Our group had some apps and entrees. Favorite app was the burrata bruschetta. Crisp bread, creamy burrata and fresh tomatoes. I had s fried avocado salad, which was fresh and flavorful. Our server, Yndira, was sweet and very helpful in making food choices. She was perfectly attentive to our needs. Would come back if ever in the area! Tip: don't forget to check in for free biscuits!! Amazing, with honey butter and jam!
google avatar

Mindi A.

Yelp
Unfortunately, for the price point, we probably wouldn't be back. We were a large group of 20 with a prefix menu. we had made this reservation months ago. The service was so incredibly slow for drinks. We did enjoy the salads and some people enjoyed their entrées. But definitely avoid the halibut. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and is lovely inside.
google avatar

Sandy R.

Yelp
The food and service were top notch! Our server was sooooo cute and friendly and attentive. He made such great food suggestions and we just loved sitting outside in the great Austin weather!
google avatar

Shveta M.

Yelp
I crave their #16 biscuits all the time. That honey butter is just too good. Make a res and go for brunch! I recommend the deviled eggs, biscuits, fried avo salad, short rib grilled cheese and get a cocktail or two. They'll make you anything if you want something off the menu. The grilled cheese would be perfect for that hangover! The smoked salmon benny was ok - think the Hollandaise wasn't my favorite. The chicken and waffles would be better if they used thighs. The waffle was good! Overall, banger spot. Super busy on the weekends so make a res or go later.

Mark L.

Yelp
The ambiance was very good. The service was exceptional (Gillian). The food taste and presentation was first class. Only reason not giving 5 stars is the food was all luke warm. E.g. we ordered the #16 Biscuits. The butter did not even melt when spread. Overall, a nice experience and would come back again.
google avatar

Erika B.

Yelp
So today was my second time enjoying the happy hour that Stella on fifth Street offers. They have a bunch of options at five dollars each, two big plates at $15, the deal is great one of the best ones in Austin. The happy hour includes both drinks and food which is awesome. Milena, our server was so sweet, I'm surprised she didn't hate us after only ordering from the happy hour menu, but your girl is trying to stay on a budget! First time we were there, Giovanni at the bar was also great at making drinks, and super awesome customer service. The staff is very welcoming, they made the experience all the more enjoyable. I hope this happy hour never ends, it's a great spot for a date night.
google avatar

Zaina H.

Yelp
This place is so bad. I don't know how people eat here, and I don't understand how the biscuits are top rated. Our biscuits were overbaked, which could be why we didn't have a good experience but they were overall average. They use fake eggs. The pancakes tasted like cardboard. The hash browns were salty, undercooked, and didn't have good flavor at all. The food is really bad quality. It brought pain to my friend's stomach and mine. My friend was in too much pain to eat for the rest of the day.
google avatar

Savanah L.

Yelp
This place has a cool ambiance and was definitely busy on the weekend. We luckily made a reservation and were seated right away. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese - which I highly recommend. The fries were okay but I honestly was stuffed after the huge sandwich. The espresso martini was also a fan favorite at my table. Only downside is the service. We waited about 35-40 minutes for our cocktails and probably 1.5 hours for our food. My friend let the waitress know she had a dairy allergy and yet her food still came out with dairy on it - allergies should always be handled with utmost care. I do think the poor service was due to being understaffed I would still come back and give it another shot
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Came in for lunch on a Monday. Not very busy. We were seated right away. The food could have come out a little quicker, but it was worth the wait. Their Brush Creek Burger is goooooood and encourmous! I could only eat half. I added on bacon and avocado which they were not skimpy with. Next time though I could definitely share this. Adding it to my list of favorite burgers in ATX.

Xylina M.

Yelp
We highly recommend - I had the salmon over Cesar salad Everyone else said their food was great. Especially the French toast with pecans. Boyfriend said it didn't even need syrup it was that good. Also, the biscuits are the DIE for especially with the butter. The decor is impeccable and elevated. Service was great. She took her time to explain and was attentive.
google avatar

Megan J.

Yelp
The biscuits are so good. I had a BLT salad and mule. They were ok. I think my friends had better food choices, but I wasn't that hungry. We did start with some appetizers, including the deviled eggs, which were really good! The service was good. The only drawback was that our table was by a prep station for the wait staff which was not ideal. We didn't have a reservation, so beggars can't be choosers. I would definitely try this restaurant again when I have more of an appetite.
google avatar

Jenn G.

Yelp
I went for the bourbon and biscuit promotion where you try some high shelf bourbon alongside biscuits. The biscuits were very tiny with overly manicured flavor jams and butters. The jam was good. The butters deserved atleast one savory butter. The experience was $60 and was not worth the price tag. For regular menu food, we got a Ceasar salad with salmon. Lettuce was a bit past its due date but the salmon was cooked to perfection! I would not come back or go out of my way for the bourbon and biscuit promotion but the main menu was pretty good.
google avatar

Kimberly F.

Yelp
The biscuits were extremely delicious! They had chunky pieces of salt on top that gave it a little kick. Biscuits were served with a sweet butter that really complimented them. The Summer Year Round drink was so refreshing, especially since it was hot outside. I would highly recommend the short rib grilled cheese with bacon added. The au just what thicker which made it so much easier to eat. The only negative to say is that the service was a little slow. The restaurant wasn't very busy but it took 20 minutes to get our drinks and they forgot a glass of wine. Then when our meal came they had everyone's food except for a salad and then it took another 5-7minutes to get that. Overall experience was so good. The waiter was very pleasant. Highly recommend

Yelp
OMG. 10 out of 10 for Brunch. Biscuits...Best ever. Hot and fresh. Wife had chicken and waffles and she loved them. I had the short rib grilled cheese. Wowza. Ask for Logan

Yelp
My visit was really 3.5, but Vanessa's wonderful service and personality made it a 4. Before heading to Antone's for a show on Tuesday, I walked into Stella San Jac around 5pm. I was seated promptly (in an empty restaurant) and loved the decor. It's beautifully decorated. The food is a different story. After some discussion with Vanessa, I ordered the Crab Hushpuppies and just one of the #16 Biscuits. Hushpuppies are hard to get right but I liked how much crab was in each bite and the balance of flavors. I would definitely order it again. The biscuit however was not worthy of its celebrity. Perhaps it was overcooked but it was too hard outside and the dough itself needs salt rather than just the finishing salt. The honey butter made it tasty but there are better biscuits in Austin. I ordered the Kale & Brussels salad with a side of chicken as well as the Dulce De Leche Cheesecake for dessert. The salad was lovely and not overdressed which I love. But the side of chicken breast was dry, sadly. The cheesecake was also lackluster. I loved the flavor but found the crust to have a slightly burnt taste (probably overcooked) even though it didn't look burnt. The burnt tasting crust definitely dampers an otherwise tasty cheesecake. Everything was about $60. Overall, I think the food is hit or miss (but with good portions and decent prices), but the service is impeccable so try it out. Maybe I had an off night.

Yelp
Stella San Jac has to be my new favorite restaurant in town at the moment. The ambiance is stunning and makes this restaurant a modern and unique setting. My friend and I arrived here for an early dinner on a Sunday evening. The service was phenomenal and our waiter was such a nice man. We started off with the biscuits, which are to die for, and also ordered the lamb meatballs. The lamb meatballs are paired with such a delicious sauce and melt in your mouth. For main course, I ordered the beef short rib per our waiters suggestion. The short rib fell right off of the bone and was delectable. The puréed sweet potato was absolutely incredible, as well. The sauce from the short ribs dripped down the sweet potatoes like a flowing River and merged the dish beautifully. I will be recommending this place to friends and family for a special night out on the town.

Yelp
First off.... The water here is amazing. It takes like it came straight from a glacier. Coffee was on point. Low acidity. Menu is small but let's be real.. when the menu isn't 4 pages it means they actually craft their food. They have fresh pressed juices which is what we all need. Biscuits and the deviled eggs are a must for appetizers. The ambiance is tasteful. Full view of the kitchen working diligently but also cool as a cucumber. Our server, Logan, was the best. Punctual, knowledgeable of the menu, efficient, (very well dressed and professional, yet charming), and enhanced our experience. Not to mention you can CHOOSE TWO DIFFERENT BENEDICTS! Never have I ever. Anyways, love this place. You should too.

Yelp
I visited this spot to celebrate a graduation on a Sunday evening. It was not crowded at all. The ambiance was very nice. I started with the crab hush puppies and they were perfect. The house wine was quite pleasant also. The Lobster Bucatini was fantastic. Bishop was our server and he did an excellent job. We definitely worked him, maybe a little too much. Thanks Bishop

Yelp
I wanted to pass along a heads up on a bartender who is stealing from the company by overcharging guests. I stayed at the Westin Hotel in Downtown Austin for a week mid November. My wife and l stopped in for 2 drinks each. She went with a cocktail and a glass of prisoner. l went with a basil hayden old fashioned & an angel's envy old fashioned. When l received the tab, I noticed I was charged $32 for the Angel's Envy old fashioned. The bartender's name on the receipt read Bishop. He has a man bun and he's inked up on his arm. I asked, $32 for Angel's envy huh? He looked at me funny and said, "Sorry, I don't set the prices." I looked at him back and let him know that seems high. He looked concerned like I had caught onto something and went over to the PoS System and printed out a 2nd receipt and said, there you go, I charged you $20 for it, the price of the Basil Hayden. I hit Stella San Jac a time or 2 throughout the week I stayed with the intent of getting a bartender to price check. I got my way mid-week and asked a bartender to price check on the couple old rounds I had. I was informed both are $20 a piece. This meant the obvious - Bishop set the price in the system manually before printing out the receipt, and when greeted with skepticism, folded and printed it out as it was programmed into the system. I get the guy's just a bartender, and most guests/clientele staying at the Westin have the money for it, but it's a dishonest, very low integrity move. He's using the location to overcharge guests who are already paying a premium to stay downtown, paying $50 extra a night for parking, and know they're going to be paying a couple bucks extra on drinks with Stella San Jac being conveniently located in the Hotel guests are staying at. White Lodging should look more into their staff's background, work ethic, and hire honest folks. The bar (no pun intended) is set low on who they hire. I question how many other staff members were pulling the same play on guests and shorting the company. It's all around piss poor reflection on the company and the people working here need to set aside the friendships they're forming at work that's enabling them to ultimately screw over the guests that are drinking here.

Yelp
Came here with my wife on date night before a music show. Loved it - service, drinks and food were all great. She had the halibut, I had the caesar with salmon. Only regret is that the desert menu doesn't have a great chocolate option, but I won't knock off a star for that. Was a great start to a fun night, will definitely be back.

Yelp
My family and I had lunch at Stella San Jac a few weeks ago. We weren't sure where we wanted to eat, but my parents have eaten brunch here in the past and enjoyed it so we decided to stop in. It wasn't super busy since it was after lunch rush on a Monday afternoon. Stella is located in the lobby of the Westin. The front entrance of the restaurant is located off of San Jacinto. We were greeted and seated immediately. Michael was our server and he was very friendly. The restaurant had a nice playlist and the décor was nice which just added to the experience. Food: Deviled eggs - Topped with a slice of andouille sausage. They were slightly spicy, but good. Brussels Sprouts - These had a nice crispy texture and were topped with candied jalapeño slices which I of course didn't eat. Short Rib Grilled Cheese - Excellent! I loved that it was served on a Hawaiian roll. It definitely had the sweet and savory combo. The sweet pickles that came with it were so delicious! I enjoyed the pickles so much that I asked Michael for extra haha. The au jus was yummy too, but the sandwich would have been perfectly fine without it. Don't forget to check in on the app. I checked in after we ordered apps and was sad to see that we could have had an order of free biscuits lol. I have the offer saved for our next visit!

Yelp
My friends and I came here for dinner last weekend when we were in town for my bachelorette. We made reservations which I recommend because the place got packed. We ordered some drinks and the biscuits and Brussel sprouts to start. The biscuits were delicious especially when paired with the honey butter. The brussel sprouts were also tasty and came with candied jalapeños on top. I got the short rib along with another friend who ordered it. The rest of the table got the fried avocado salad which they all enjoyed. My friend's short rib was fine but mine was like 60% fat and the sweet potato mash was cold. I told the waiter who apologized and said they would rush another one out when he saw how much fat there was (it was gross). Well I waited and waited for my food while the rest of my friends ate. They were mostly done when I asked the waiter where my food was, as I had only seen him walking around talking to other customers and not in the kitchen checking on my meal. It wasn't until I asked a second time that I was told my meal would be comped and they finally brought out my food. When I finally got the new plate, the short rib was really tasty but the mash was barely lukewarm. Overall it wasn't a bad entree, but they should never have sent out a piece of meat that was clearly subpar quality (you could tell just looking at it). The dinner wasn't bad but service could have been better. It's worth stopping by if you're a biscuit fan but otherwise there's better places in the area.

Yelp
The ambience gives two distinct sides, there is a dinner and dining, and a cocktail bar with area for apps and what not. Stopped here for drinks before dinner so this worked out perfect. The service we received was awesome. Very attentive and offered some suggestions for both snacks and drinks. Hush puppies were very good. Light with good flavor, but was hoping for a bit more crab for the money. The espresso was perfect, maybe top 5 in Austin.

Yelp
First night in Austin in 30 years, took my son to a tournament. Stella was walking distance from our hotel, so we gave it a try. And I'm so glad we did! Ambiance is upscale, but warm. Our waiter, Arek, was fantastic! Knowledgeable about the wine list, friendly and attentive. Excellent service. He recommended I try the wagyu beef rib - it's a long time since I was blown away by a dish, but it was fantastic! The mashed potatoes, the onions and peppers, and the assorted herbs on top were amazing, as was the presentation! My son had the roasted chicken and he was equally impressed A hearty 5 stars from me on this one! May go back another night before we leave!

Yelp
I stayed at the Westin for a week and even though I wanted to explore other places for breakfast I always ended up here. I had breakfast lunch and dinner during my visit to Austin and every meal was good along with friendly staff all around. Nothing like having a restaurant in the hotel that actually serves delicious meals.

Yelp
Came here with a large party and was impressed by the cool vibe here and luckily had nearby street parking. The service was great seeing as all didn't arrive at the same time so we didn't order at the same time but our waitress was able to accommodate everyone's orders in a timely fashion. The drinks were a little expensive, but they were unique and the Prickly Pear Margarita was definitely a large and refreshing drink. For appetizers: -#16 biscuits were great and the butter was delicious. Apparently it took the chef 16 tries to get it right, but these were soft and chewy and great -deviled eggs: it was nice to include a little sausage but at the end of the day, for the price 2 devil eggs (4 halves) were not worth it. -crab croquettes: like hush puppies with a little seafood flavor, didn't have a lot of crab taste to me over the breading, but was still tasty -lamb meatballs only had 3 but were really big and nicely presented on the plate For an entrée, I had the steak frites and they were able to switch out the frites for a veggie (in this case, asparagus). Steak was very tender and juicy. There wasn't much asparagus but I understood it wasn't an original part of the meal. The ambiance is welcoming and service as great. For a special occasion, this is a nice place, but it is on the more expensive side for everything.
