"Chef-owner Chris Chen brings Chinese fine dining to Gilbert, turning out creative cocktails in whimsical glassware to pair with traditional dishes and modern takes on classics (such as lemon and passionfruit chicken feet), all served on fancy porcelain plates. The showstopper is flaming Peking duck, but the hand-made xiao long bao are stellar too." - Nikki Buchanan

Went for all you can eat dim sum. This place gets the small details right. Great tea and chili oil. (If a place gets this right most other things will follow) Lot of northern China dishes. Braised pork sandwich. Tripe, steamed BBQ pork roll were among my favorites. Service was great and place is super clean. Need to come back for dinner which I was told is a more upscale experience.

This is truly an authentic Chinese dining experience. Even down to ordering from the iPad and having the food brought out to you on the cart as you keep ordering. So fun! The $21.99 AYCE lunch buffet is totally worth it. Anyone that writes bad reviews saying the food is not good was just going in expecting like the American Chinese food “orange chicken” experience, which is not this. This is authentic Chinese food. And it’s really good. I loved the dumplings! The dan dan noodles were so delicious too. And they use real sichuan pepper too which is awesome!!! If you’ve never had authentic Chinese food and have always wanted to try it I recommended giving it a try here. The buffet is like $2 extra on the weekend but it’s worth it to go then to try a little bit of everything. Also the attention to detail was chef’s kiss: the plates, cups, tea kettle, etc. So cute.

We arrived at the restaurant to try out this chinese food place. We were taken to a table. And we were handed a tablet to choose the items we wanted, but they never told us how their system of ordering worked. Finally, we we ordered the items we wanted, but it took forever to get each item. We only received about half of the stuff we ordered and the rice was cold. Some of the fountain drinks that we ordered were 75% percent full of ice, so you would take 2 or 3, the gulps, and you were left with ice. I am definitely. I'm not coming back and would not recommend this place to any person I care for.

Excellent service, delicious food, gorgeous atmosphere! We mixed up the hours and showed up 10 minutes before closing without realizing it. However, the staff were kind and the host invited us in saying they'd be willing to take us. We were a party of 5 so we were super grateful to them for this. We found out about stellar 66 from an Instagram video and it had not done the atmosphere justice. With the gorgous chinese tapestries and the soothing piano playing, it felt like a true fine dining experience. We placed our orders and the food came out quick. Even though it was past closing at this point, the food was hot and fresh. We had Mongolian beef, combo fried rice, soup dumpling basket, Peking duck, and the sweet and sour chicken. The portion sizes were large enough that we could all share with each other. Each dish was so flavorful. It was really the best tasting and best quality Chinese food I can say that I've ever had. The presentation for the duck was fantastic and they even made one of the beef dishes in a skillet tableside. The staff was also celebrating something with each other but our waiter still remained so attentive to our tables and was on top of refills and napkins etc. This was a great dining experience and we were so grateful that they were willing to not only take us so late but still serve us amazing food with stellar service. We live in downtown Phoenix and we will happily make the drive to come out again! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to take a break from panda express and buffets.

My boyfriend and I have been in before for the all you can eat dim sum which was great! So based on that experience, we were excited to go on Valentine’s Day. When we got there, the hostess was very nice and had us pick a card for a surprise (every table got a surprise.). 10%off, great! Got to our table and proceeded to sit there for 30 minutes with just water and no one came to get our order. We tried to make eye contact and get the attention of the servers but none of them looked at us. Finally after the 30 mins I got the attention of one and we ordered. All of the food on the prix-fixe menu came out at the same time. Honestly that was fine because I could hear some tables around us saying they did not get all the items they were supposed to, so at least we got all of our food. The apps were interesting. The BBQ pork and chili chicken were both ice cold (we assumed maybe they were supposed to be served cold, but wished that would have been indicated on the menu). The food was just ok. The egg drop soup was supposed so have shrimp but neither of ours did, and the soup was not hot. The scallop entree was very bland and only came with 2 scallops. The best things were the dumplings-everything else was subpar. The matcha tiramisu was not good. Sad that we had this experience and hoped for better.

Google
😍 Ordered through GrubHub! The Peking Duck is AMAZING! The duck meat is juicy; duck skin has the perfect amount of crispiness; sliced scallions are fragrant; cucumbers are refreshing; i LOVE the sauces; and the wrap is tender! Gonna keep ordering from here! The delivery was perfect too!💪🏼

Perfect if you’re craving for the best Chinese cuisine in town. Had dinner here with a big group of folks originally from Hong Kong. Absolutely delicious and cooked right for the Asian palate. Great vibe and that Peking Duck is a smashing hit. Value for money and a great place for dinner. Instead of a long table, we just hoped there were big circular tables or lazy susans to make it an even more authentic Chinese culinary experience. But that’s not a big deal - The food and the service are superb!

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The interior is high class and our order of the signature Peking duck made us feel like royalty. I’m like dayuuummm, this place fancy! Highly recommend you dont buy rice, you won’t need it for the signature Peking duck, they provide these chewy tortillas to wrap the duck with the veggies. Twas *chef’s kiss*, at the moment the place is quiet, to be honest it was nice for a change. I think they took a rough hit of reviews when they first opened, I’d say the service was quick and accommodative so no complaints. Will come again in the future! :)

Yelp
Great food :) we will be back. Love their soup dumplings and chili oil wonton as well

Yelp
Recently they changed their AYCE dim sum to dumplings, and I think this is much better and greater value.

Yelp
Awesome food and people. Will come back. Everything is perfect and our kids love their dumplings and Peking duck

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my niece's birthday. 80% of the food was amazing, the other 20% was good. I can say none of the food was bad. We ordered many dishes. We ordered half of a duck, spicy wontons, lobster, fried rice, cucumber, salad, dumplings, barbecue pork, and many other dishes. The ambience is nice, but I feel like it could be a little bit nicer. The service was great from Selena, but I think they might've been a little understaffed. Once we flagged her down, she was great! Our food came out pretty fast after we ordered. For dessert we had the chocolate dumplings. They are a must! We're definitely coming back to try that all you can eat dim sum but it's only until 3 PM.

Yelp
Decided to give this restaurant a try based on an instagram video I saw a few months back. Made a reservation last minute for 6:15pm on a Friday night. We arrived at the restaurant on time and we were seated promptly. Decor and overall ambiance give the vibe of an upscale Chinese restaurant. It took approximately 15 minutes for the staff to make their way to our table., A waitress served water to the table and went about her business. The next 20 minutes or so, my family and I watched as two other tables, whom were seated after us, grew tired of waiting and made their way for the exit. We placed our order after about 40 minutes. Surprisingly, the food was served after about 15 minutes. A slew of appetizers and entrees were delivered over the next 5-10 minutes. All the dishes served were room temperature. Highlight of all the dishes was the Chow Mein. My suspicion is the dishes were prepared ahead of time and left under a food warmer. We all enjoyed the flavors but the quality of the meat, not so much. If I'm feeling like Chinese again, we'll go to PF Changs. Majority if not all other restaurants within this category, do not tack on a group gratuity charge for a family of six. Our bill was $177.38 with our 18% tip added.

Yelp
Came for lunch to try their all you can eat, it was $21.99 per person. The space is very open with plenty of seating, but very dim lighting inside. Service was a bit on the slower side, but there was only one lady helping at the front and assisting customers. Starting with the favorites: Dan Dan noodles were a tad salty but overall had great flavor The orange chicken and general tso's chicken were both really good and had a sweet sauce to them. I like that the general tso's came with some peppers and celery. Fried shrimp was crispy and loved the batter Fried golden buns were divine. Fried and crispy with a side of condensed milk. The not so favorites: Beef fried rice was horrible, had some kind of chemical taste and the beef cut is very cheap and flabby, yup I said it. Crab puffs, umm where was the crab? Fiery beef noodles were subpar, again with the cheap beef And unfortunately the dumplings are nothing to brag about. Lacked much flavored to the fillings, you aren't missing anything. I would say overall, give it a shot for lunch and you can try a bunch of options to find what you may like.

Yelp
Very clean restaurant with a moody and modern vibe. Staff were very nice and attentive. We opted for the dumpling lunch AYCE. The surprise of today was enjoying the dan dan noodles and orange chicken. Dumplings were okay- more dense and not seasoned as well as I'm used to so they were not my favorite but that's okay it's not for everyone.

Yelp
The menu was quite extensive. I wanted to try the AYCE dumplings, however we got there too late between the lunch and dinner conversion. The decor is nice and the presentation of our food was aesthetically pleasurable. The hot and sour soup and dumplings were cold, we also had a larger party and our food did not come out all together. I believe there was a language barrier which caused the server to seem short with us and impatient. Overall, the food was delicious and the serving size was a good portion. I'd like to try them again but for dinner maybe instead of lunch.

Yelp
Tried this all you can eat Chinese place in a whim, after a visit to Fry's next door. Glad I did! This place is quite large, and the decor is a step up from the usual AYCE Chinese restaurants. There is a bar and cocktail menu, which is a plus, though we didn't order cocktails at 11:30 a.m. one wall has a lovely mural, and there are booths and tables, with some large round booths, too This is not a buffet. When you are seated, you are given an iPad or tablet of some kind. You scroll through and "shop" for what you want, adding if to the cart. When you are ready, click yo place the order. The food comes out relatively fast. This place has some of the best Dan Dan Noodles and Orange Chicken that I have ever had. So delicious! In fact, everything we ordered was fantastic. There is one downfall to the ordering system. You are not in control of the size of the servings. I ordered my noodles first, and the serving was quite large. This means I will have less "room" to try other things, especially because there is a charge for uneaten food. It's not badly priced for the quality of food at all AYCE restaurant, and I am sure I will return. So delish!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem inside a strip mall. The decor is elevated and the menu matches the vibe. They have an insane realistic Moon installation on the wall that definitely makes this place stand out. We had reservations and were sat quickly when we walked in. They were very attentive and took our order pretty quickly. For food, there's so many choices here - the menu has quite a few pages which include rice dishes, noodle dishes, and run-of-the-mill Chinese dishes. I had the Sichuan dan dan noodles, I thought they might be too spicy but they were only delicious. My friend had an egg drop soup dish with shrimp that was in a gigantic bowl. We also had an order of pork dumplings, that I dipped in my dan dan noodles soup, the casing was so soft and moist, they were perfect. I'm happy to have found a dish I'd get again if I'm ever in the area and I'll be telling my fellow Mesa folks about this place.

Yelp
Dined in for an early dinner on a Saturday--the service was exceptional, very attentive and professional; the restaurant was clean; and the ambience felt upscale. Their menus are extensive; there is a main menu and another that has their specials. We ordered a few dishes to share, and overall, the food was good, but only one was truly memorable. - 1/2 signature duck: presentation was unique; it came out in a chest with some veggies, two sauces, and tortillas. The duck itself was a little bland in flavor from what I'm used to. If you want the flaming duck, you'll need to order the whole duck. You get an additional dish that they make with the duck bones (choice of stir fry salt/pepper or a bone broth). The broth is better, but I don't think either is worth the $50 for the 1/2 duck dish ($99 for whole). The stir fry dish didn't have much flavor since it was just salt and pepper. - Szechwan crispy pork app is an absolute must try. The pork was exceptionally crispy, not oily, and the accompanying Szechwan chili powder is to die for. - mapo tofu, flaming beef ribs, and hot & sour crab meat soup were good. The flaming beef ribs dish is essentially kalbi but the marinade missed the mark. Worth a try if you've been thinking about it to see for yourself and to try the crispy pork~

Yelp
Meh. One and done. Honestly a 2.5 star, but round up. My friends and I came here for the AYCE dim sum, which I believe is $28 a person. Tea is $6 extra. We all figured, between two people we usually order $60 at the normal push-cart dim sum places anyway, so surely this wouldn't be too bad. All the food that we got was slightly below lukewarm. And, I get it. This is basically dim sum food but buffet style, so I'm not expecting everything to be hot off the steamer but cmon. Also, no turnip cake on the dim sum menu, and the rice noodle rolls are skinny. You're actually better off going to a regular dim sum restaurant, paying around the same price, and getting tastier warm dim sum with a wider variety to choose from. Service is hit or miss. The restaurant itself is huge, but there were a lot of empty tables and seats around 11am. You get seated, but there is little to no explanation on the ordering process. After playing around with the tablet, you basically send orders to the kitchen as you go. If the tablet says it's out of stock on an item (in our case it was shu mai), chances are it's on one of the 2-3 carts being pushed around. Aside from the initial hiccup, I will say that our waters were always topped off and the waitress with the push cart were extremely sweet and accommodating. She was probably the most redeeming part of my meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious. My suggestion is to lower the AYCE dim sum prices a bit as with their current price, most people would rather go get "fresher" dim sum and a wider selection.

Yelp
OK it's been a while since I've been to a restaurant so bad that it deserve a one star review. One of my coworker told me about this AYCE dimsum place (I will have to beat him up next time I see him. ). So we were in the mood for dimsum and considering how we spend 60-80 everytime we go to dimsum, we decided to try this place. Got there when they first opened up and had to sign in before getting sat, even though thetr were no wait.. Ok what ever.. Restaurant seems new and nicely designed and decors. I was told it's AYCE and you basically click on the pad of dishes you want, submit and kitchen will bring the food out, right there I was like Umm ok guess I don't get people pushing carts around and pick out what you want.. Even though I saw few trays ready to go. I was disappointed to see that menu had about maybe 20% dimsum and rest Chinese food.. Ordered few dimsum, chow mein, edamame, garlic chicken, orange chicken, crab puff, fried shrimp and so on.. As you can see by what I ordered they had mainly Chinese food. Sticky rice and black beans/ribs I was told they are out of them so couldn't order.. Im going wth they just opened few minutes ago. Now comes the food, dimsum was probably the sadest dimsum I've ever eaten. They tasted like ones you ordered frozen and you steam them yourself. Orange chicken, practically cold, sesame chicken was basically same as orange chicken plus sprinkle of sesame seeds. Chow mein was more like low mein and cold. Only thing that tasted pretty good was the edamame. Tea was good other than having to ask twice and took 25 mins. Lady did come by with one tray that had some dimsum and had sticky rice so I grabbed one, which was OK.. Ordered some fried rice to eat the rest of sesame chicken so it don't go to waste.. Cold, conch dish Luke warm, when we finally got egg drop soup because they forgot, luke warm. My wife commented that they probably have all the main dishes made like buffet and they just put them in the dish as people order considering the temperature. You know it's bad when I'm sitting here going, dang I had better Chinese food at Panda Express. Ordered few more dimsum to get my money's worth which never came.. I ended up asking for check after seeing a lady come by full the water cup, wearing gloves, then wife noticed she was also picking up dirty dishes off the table. So we sat there watched her as the same lady cleaned few tables grabbing dirty dishes and cups, walk over to the station and empty them. Then grab new set of dishes and silverware and set the table. And all that while she was still wearing the same gloves. At that point we said ok I think I'm done eating. Asked for my check and complained about the sanitation issues, and the young girl says yeah they are not that clean here, I've only been working here few days.. I'll let the manager know.. Get my bill, over 60 bux for 2 people, then I noticed sign that said $6 extra if you want to add the dimsum to AYCE. I have never been to such over priced flavorless cold Chinese restaurant in my life. Not only would I never come back here, I am letting you know to stay the blip away frim this place.. If I get food poisoning or sick tomorrow I will know why.

Yelp
The interior of the space is massive. I wasn't expecting it to be as large as it was but it was nice. Staff is super attentive. They're definitely used to people knowing what they want shortly after sitting down with the menus. Friends & I came in for dinner & to catch up. I kinda feel bad we had to say, probably 4 or so times, we hadn't looked at the menu because we were so engrossed in catch up. I saw some of the reviews about consistency in temperature and I totally get it. My friends Mongolian beef, while delicious, wasn't super hot but felt more warm. The fish soup my friend ordered came in a ginormous metal bowl. I really should have taken a picture of the side of the bowl to show how large it was. It's definitely more sharing size than one person but the fish was perfectly delicate and delicious. The broth was out of this world amazing. I would come back for the broth alone!! The garlic ribs were completely covered in garlic & whatnot to the point that I had a hard time finding the ribs. When I did, they were delicious but be mindful, it's a lot of garlic. The sliced pork appetizer was happy and very good but again, the temperature consistency seems to be questionable. Prices are reasonable. The music on a Saturday night was more like sleepy piano music. I weirdly enjoyed it but it was very unexpected but not 100% sure it goes "with the vibe" as the kids say these days. lol. There was also a weird techno version of "happy birthday" that was played. Overall, lovely place.

Yelp
The service was off and disjointed. We were the first ones there at 4:30 and were sat at a dirty, sticky table with wet plates. I said the table was dirty and it was ignored by the gentleman who sat us. The place was completely empty except a big table filled with dirty dishes and glasses in the middle of the restaurant even though they had just opened for dinner.... No one came to greet us after we received our menus and people just kept coming in and were getting sat but there was no service. It took about 10 min to even get waters and another 10 to place a drink order. I wanted to ask about the AYCE but there was not any menus for it and I couldn't get the attention of anyone to ask about it. We ended up ordering the fried rice, orange chicken, mixed soup dumplings, green beans and eggplant and crab puffs. Everything was.... Fine. The rice was bland and not hot, crab puffs were not hot, the veggies were ok and the only thing that came to the table that was fresh and hot. The best thing was the orange chicken. It wasn't hot but it had nice pieces of chicken in a flavorful glaze. The soup dumplings didn't actually have any soup in them... they tasted just fine, if a little bland, but they were drier than I expected. 2 of them were broken so if there was any liquid, it was gone. They also took a very long time to come to the table, and right before they were served we were told they were out of the chicken dumplings and had to substitute for a double of another dumpling. All in all.... Just fine I guess. I would return to try more of the chicken dishes and possibly something spicier, maybe, but otherwise wasn't very impressive for a 125$ check.

Yelp
Wonderful dumplings and all the good we had was amazing. Service was top notch and we went without a reservation on Valentine's Day and since it was right after they had opened for dinner we got a table right away. It quickly picked up and they did a great job taking care of us all. Can't wait to go back and try more of their dumplings.

Christa M.

Yelp
I had dinner with my mom and sister here on Monday night and it was pretty good. Quickly upon us walking in, we were greeted and asked if we had a reservation. We did not so he had us follow him to an empty table. All booths were taken so we were seated in a round booth with a very small table. At this time, the menus were dropped off. The table set us was really nice and the gold tea pot along with the yellow plates made it look fancy. We looked over the menu and ordered: 1 Hot and sour crab soup 1 Appetizer sampler: 2 egg rolls, 2 dumplings, 2 ragoons 1 Chicken with mushroom 1 Kung pao chicken 1 Combo fried rice 1 Spicy green beans 2 White rice The soup and appetizers came out first. The server served us each a cup of soup and left us the rest. The soup was mmmmmm delicious. It was hot, flavorful, and had plenty of crab meat. The appetizers were ok - nothing special. Our entrees started coming out one by one and our table started getting crammed. This table was definitely not big enough for all the plates we ordered, lol. The green beans were cooked well as they were crunchy and had a lot of flavor - they were not spicy. The chicken with mushrooms dish was my favorite and it went will with the white rice. The fried rice was ok and the kung pao chicken was yummy. Service was great as all the servers who were working checked up on us several times and they were friendly. The inside is pretty spacious and the décor and lighting makes it feel fancy. In total we spent about $115 with tip and we had food leftover. We will be back!

Yelp
I didn't get to try the new AYCE dim sum because it's only during lunch time, but we stopped in for dinner. The place tries to have modern decor but it was empty other than the workers cleaning with 1.5 hours left before closing. We ordered from the a la carte menu. Our family had chicken lettuce cups, sesame chicken, sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice, dan dan noodles. The food was underwhelming overall. The entrees are a large portion, enough to be shared if so desired. The fried rice was inedible and overcooked. Noodles were ok. I liked the lettuce cups but they literally only give you 4 pieces of lettuce so there was more chicken left than could be served in the cups. I see they have been receiving mixed reviews on Yelp. I would have to agree. Not sure we will venture back to even try the dim sum. This restaurant needs a lot of work to fill my Chinese food cravings.

Yelp
Absolutely a great time, great staff, and enjoyed the dumplings. The Peking Duck is the Absolutely best. Totally worth it.

Dockmond T.

Yelp
Great looking dishes. Tasted great except the beef chow had no flavor. Service was a little slow. Never got the white rice but the fried rice was very good. I'll try it again and see how it goes.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Stellar 66 is little out of our way, but we wanted to try it. Very glad we did because they had many of our favorite dishes here. They had a set menu which made decisions little easier. Our favorite was the spicy wontons, which came with lot of extra sauce so we ended up using it on other dishes. Spicy XLB was interesting but probably stick to regular one next time. The garlic spare ribs were little on the dryer side but had lot of flavor. The fried rice and Dan Dan noodles were as expected. They were serving Peking duck at the next table; which looked very good so made a mental note to order next time. Enjoy! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
My wife and I came for lunch on a Saturday at 12:30 PM. It wasn't busy, only a couple other diners dining. The restaurant shares a parking lot with multiple businesses but you won't have any trouble finding a spot. We started with Szechuan chili oil wontons. They were juicy but not too spicy. We then shared the braised beef noodle soup. That beef was so tender! The broth was tasty and the noodles were al dente. Nice modern/elegant ambiance here, it would be a nice place to take a date! Tons of seating, it could accommodate large groups. They have a bar with TVs to watch the game too! Overall, I had a pretty Stellar dining experience!

Dawn M.

Yelp
I've been to the Fry's grocery store many times and always seen this place but never checked it out until now. The restaurant has great space. Not sure if they do events, but this would be the place to get a large part of people. The ambiance is nice and elegant. My husband and order the spicy wonton dumplings with beef noodle soup. The spicy wontons were not spicy at all but more so the dumplings in a bed of chili oil. They're your average delicious dumplings. The beef noodle soup we enjoyed the most. The broth was decent, savory and not too salty. I appreciated the lean beef. The last few beef noodle soups I had were mostly fatty pieces and not enough protein. Service was good. The restaurant has a bar with TVs. Great for watching the games. Plenty of parking. The only downside is probably, price, if that matters. Most of the dishes ranged from $15 and up.

Khanh P.

Yelp
(+) hot & sour soup, peking duck, braised beef noodle soup (-) service, brought out 3 bowls and 3 spoons for table if 5. Had to ask multiple times to bring out enough bowls and spoons. Also nothing out only 2 place settings (chopsticks, plates, napkins) for 2 people. Weird. We also ordered a bottle of wine. There were obviously 3 adults and 2 kids. He brought out 4 glasses and ask us how many glasses we want. Very odd. It's like they randomly bring out utensils without looking at the table. While the food is out, some of us had to wait for the server had to back and forth to get the proper number of utensils. The ambience were quite dark for cheese food. We couldn't see what we were picking up. Our tea that we ordered never came out. We ordered a bottle of wine which was out. We ordered a different bottle of wine. The bill still show the wine that was out and the tea that we didn't get. They fixed the bill when asked. Overall, new business of 4 months. Still have many kinks to iron out.

Yelp
Stopped by Stellar 66 for their brand new AYCE dim sum menu, and while my thoughts on the food are mixed, service was great! My top recommendations go to the creamy custard bun -- one of the better ones I've had in AZ -- and the Szechuan-style stir-fried string beans. The jasmine tea was also super floral and good quality! There were lots of middle-of-the-road dishes -- good tripe, tasty but dry egg tarts, congee that was nicely packed with preserved egg but a bit heavy on the salt. However, the value is pretty good, as they have unique items (like a mango pomelo sago bun and crispy durian cake), and it's common to spend upwards of $20 per person at dim sum anyway. The bad: The spareribs tasted a bit sour, almost like something had gone bad, so we sent those back to avoid getting charged for food waste. The waitress was very kind about it and had the kitchen check the meats. They also forgot to bring out chicken feet, but we were getting full so we just let it go. I reiterate that the team was very kind and very quick to seat us, take orders, and bring out dishes. I'm glad Gilbert has a Canto-ish option. However, as a lifelong dim sum lover, I'd take better quality and more authentic flavors over variety in this case. I'd consider returning for the AYCE menu sans dim sum though!

Walking into this place and I can honestly say it was weird. Very spread out. Moon on the wall. One area of tables had Togo containers and random employees stuff scattered everywhere. Basically the area is the employee section. The music playing is remade masterpieces that make you want your head to explode. I'll also add it was Friday night during prime hours and the place had five tables occupied. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. 2 drinks came out then another and then mine took another 15 minutes. Then we ordered entrees. Then 3 of the four entrees came out. My wife ordered a glass of wine. Then the appetizer finally came out. My half duck was m.i.a. 10 minutes later my duck came. No wine yet and not surprised. Food was good. Nothing special. My salt and pepper duck bones were basically uneatable hard bones that tasted like it was cooked with a pound of table salt. It was seriously a stoke level of sodium. Server never asked us how anything was or checked on us. Instead he was helping the buser clean multiple tables. I eventually had to ask for the wine which he obviously had forgotten about. Had to steal napkins of other tables. Men's room was dirty. Server awkwardly stood over my shoulder while paying the bill. No "thanks for coming" or anything. So that's it. Besides the salt and pepper duck bones the food was okay. Everything else was a total disaster. One and done.

Yelp
We found stellar after our favorite hot pot place closed down. The food is amazing and there's great authentic food. Today we were craving dumplings though. Can't praise them enough. Shanghai pan fried pork dumplings were fire.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've really craved or gotten Chinese food but Stellar66 made me want to get this back into my normal "rotation"! We tried a handful of things and I really liked all of them; plus, it was all very reasonably priced for the servings. My favorite was the peking duck. It was flavorful and moist, and I thought it tasted really good in the wonton wrappers as "tacos". The half size was perfect to share among four people as an app / side. The soup dumplings were good (standard but hit the spot) and I liked the thicker wrapper, maybe relative to other places. We also had Dan Dan noodles and beef & broccoli. I liked the flavor of the Dan Dan noodles but wish there had been a little more meat. The beef & broccoli was some of the best I've had! We had pretty standard service, and the food came out at a good pace. We didn't have to wait too long for our orders but it wasn't rushed out. The ambiance was pretty low key -- quiet, casual and a little dark aesthetically, but I enjoyed the food enough to not care much one way or the other.

Yelp
I'm so bummed I have to lower my rating for this restaurant. I would have loved to keep it at 4 stars or even given a 5 But our experience last night was so bad. In a group of 6, it took 3 hours for our meals to come out. One person didn't even get their food despite reminding the waiter it was missing. Everything came out hodgepodge; no one person got their food at the same time and we weren't told exactly what was being put down unless we asked. Simple things like forks and straws took 20 mins. We watched 2 person tables get up and walk away because the time to even be greeted was so long. A 4 person table near us was there just as long and we were all hangry at some point. The food is stellar but the service is so bad it doesn't make it worth it to come and wait it out.

Yelp
We came in because of a picture we saw of the spicy duck soup, turns out this is on a special "traditional" menu that has more items that are, well, traditional and less "American Chinese food". They warned us it was spicy but we weren't afraid and this soup did not disappoint!! It was definitely spicy, and the heat builds, but it was delicious. There is a lot to choose from, and about 4 different menus which was a little overwhelming but we also got the mala soup dumplings and pork buns. I was bummed the dim sum is only a lunch special and wasn't available for dinner. All of the food was truly fantastic and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is a bit unique, it is a very large space and is no where near filled, with patrons or tables. And yes, there is a tik tok moon. I don't really mind the different setup like some other reviewers, I came for the food. But I hope they can find a way to make the most of the space and maintain the cost because I'd come back!

Yelp
Overall a great dinner. The ambiance and interior decor is hip and modern and upon entering I thought the food would be more expensive than it was --the prices were actually very reasonable. Service was also very good throughout the meal. We ordered a variety of dishes to try. The chow mein and Dan Dan noodles had very fresh noodles and were very good. The Kung Pao chicken was standard but we had a couple grizzly pieces of chicken. The soup dumplings weren't my favorite --the tops of the dumplings were a little tough and I thought they could use a bit more soup. The eggplant green beans and Yangzhou fried rice were both tasty. We didn't try any drinks but the cocktail menu looked good and we would definitely come back with more people to try out the Peking duck. This restaurant is a great addition to Gilbert for solid Chinese food in an aesthetic and clean sit down setting.

Yelp
Our first time trying this restaurant. The service and ambience were good. The food was bland and not fresh. The dumplings dough was thick and the filling was tasteless. We got the bento boxes of king pao chicken and cashew chicken....both were flavorless. We won't be returning

Yelp
Came in on a weekday night for dinner. I had made a reservation however when I arrived the restaurant was fairly empty as it is a very large restaurant. The vibe is trendy and upscale and staff is incredibly helpful and happily answered all of our questions. Started off with one of their dumplings of the month (Chicken and Chinese Cabbage) which are delicious and handmade in house as well as their Night In cocktail which is served in a mini bathtub and is a delicious and refreshing champagne and rose drink. I also had the Seafood Chow Mein (not pictured) and it was delicious. A few things to note are that the portion sizes are huge and perfect for sharing and that although their extensive menu focuses on authentic Chinese food they do have a small selection of American-Chinese staples (think Orange Chicken). Overall, I highly reccomend Stellar 66 to anyone wanting to try authentic Chinese food.

Yelp
Nice and spacious interior. They have private rooms. Great place to have large gatherings. We came here for the Peking Duck. It was good, but for the price I don't think it was worth it. We ordered the whole duck for $98.99 it came with the presentation of the chef cutting the duck, tortillas wraps, duck bones with salt and pepper and duck soup. Many things came with the duck combo but in my opinion still not worth it because of the size of the duck, the skin wasn't crispy, and the portions were okay. Stir - Fried Green Beans were okay they tasted good, but it was a bit oily. Spicy Pork Rib Pot was my favorite. The ribs were delicious and the slices of potatoes were so good! This is spicy so we asked to make it mild, but it was pretty spicy at mild so this is a great dish for spice lovers! Black Pepper Steak Sizzling Platter with Canadian Scallop was good but the scallops were very small. I wish we ordered without the scallops because it wasn't worth it. Service was kind of slow since it was busy, but everyone was very friendly!

Yelp
The hype from all the foodies feeds did not live up to the actual experience :( I was really looking forward to their Peking duck but was not impressed at all after finally getting to try it. We opted in for the half duck portion since we wanted to try other items too and Peking duck ain't great for leftovers..at least the ones I'm used to. The one here is more like a sliced duck dish, not the crispy skin with a bit of meat you get with the legit Peking duck. So yes, I was rather disappointed because I was so excited to finally have a place near us that offer this amazing dish. The service was okay. The only times we saw our server was when she seated us, took our order and brought our check. Food was delivered by other employees as a quick drop off. The dishes they use are so pretty and give it such a luxurious look/feel Love that decor of the place. It would be a great date night spot, esp with the bar. They also have late night happy hours as well

Yelp

Yelp
Went for a weekday dim sum. Firstly the ambiance was modern, cute plates and tea cups. They did have a bar area that looked like it was for alcohol drinks, but also had hot tea (green or jasmine). The staff were very friendly and prompt. Even as it became very busy with a large amount of bigger groups coming in at once, they were still quick and checked back often. Micheal was our main server. Very prompt and knowledgeable. The dishes were tasty and very filling. I am not great with the names of dim sum as I don't get it offered but my friends is and they loved it. Everything tasted great. I generally don't like the red bean flavor l, but their bun was very good. Whatever the bunny roll is those was my favorite of the two we ordered. I really liked the spice garlic eggplant and edamame. The pot stickers were like any other plate. The sesame chicken was a good balance of crisps and flavor. FYI they do charge a fee for leftovers. Definitely would go again and try out more of the dishes and get more of the spice garlic eggplant. At this point they don't have an option to ordered to take home during the ayce time.

Yelp
Upscaled Traditional Chinese cuisine located in a suburban strip mall. Order: full of Peking duck $100 Green beans $14 Pork rib pot $22 Black pepper sizzling steak $25 The good: -food presentation is well thought out for some dishes -taste was authentic -good variety of dishes like what you would expect from most traditional Chinese restaurants -peking duck was served 3 ways, with three dishes The bad: -pricing is definitely much higher than if you were to go to Mekong equivalent -green beans was a bit more oily than I desired

Yelp
I recently dined at Steller 66, and while the restaurant was fairly empty when I arrived, I was immediately impressed by the attention to detail in the setup. From the neatly arranged tea cups to the elegant napkins and chopstick holders, the atmosphere felt fancy and extraordinary. Our waiter, although very shy, was incredibly kind and prompt in attending to our needs. The menu was extensive, spanning five pages with both American and Chinese versions, which was a delightful surprise. Now, let's talk about the food - it was immaculate! We tried the Crispy Chicken Szechuan, and it was beyond amazing. I couldn't get enough of the flavorful spice, and when I asked for extra on the side, they generously provided a cup of it. I wish I could've taken some home! The tea was delicious, and the Dan Dan noodles were equally impressive. Overall, I cannot compliment Steller 66 enough for their exceptional food and service. I'll definitely be returning, especially for that incredible seasoning - I'd happily throw it straight into my mouth! I am only giving it a four star due to at the time I was there. They did have a 3% credit card fee, which is beyond outrageous. I honestly think that's illegal, but they are not the only people who do this. It's all restaurants in the Phoenix area. So I honestly don't take it out on them. I put it on all of my reviews that have a 3% fee or more.

Yelp
I initially raved about this place, even defending it when others criticized it, but after my recent visit, I feel like I was tricked into believing it was better than it is. This weekend, I went with my buddies for their all-you-can-eat deal to celebrate a birthday, thinking it might be a better choice than Fogo de Chão. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The food was disappointing. Most dishes seemed barely heated, and the amount of oil in each dish was overwhelming. To make things worse, they don't include soup dumplings in the all-you-can-eat menu, which felt misleading. At $35 per person, we were stuck with subpar options like mango and mushroom dumplings that were not enjoyable at all. Service was also a letdown. The restaurant was almost empty, yet we still struggled to get decent attention from the staff. Looking back, my first visit might have been an exception rather than the norm. The other negative reviews are accurate--this place isn't great. I really wanted to love this place, but it's just another underwhelming Chinese restaurant in Arizona. I hope they take the time to improve their food quality, service, and menu clarity. I've added two pictures below due to the owner responding like he didn't believe my review because I had previously left a good review with other pictures. Look the food here isn't good, it comes out cold, and you guys just should not do all you can eat here. The regular food was good when we had it, but the soup dumplings are by far the best thing to have here but of course they aren't in the all you can eat. I had high hopes for the all you can eat, if it was good we would keep coming back but the owners response to My review I will never be coming back. The service was awful and it's never a good idea to argue about how bad your restaurants service i.

Yelp
Food quality doesn't really matter when the service was this bad. Saturday night. Place is only 50-75% capacity. No beverage refills. Food came out at different times but not in a good way. Ice cold dumplings, luke warm soup, and unresponsive staff. Won't go back. They need to shut down the dining room and be counter service only. No standards whatsoever. The dishes were interesting but not memorable.

Yelp
I was the first customer in on a weekday morning and I had a pleasant experience here at Stellar 66. The service is fast and friendly. My server took good care of me and checked on me often. He even made conversation with me, which I found refreshing. With service these days, it's hard to get actual service provided. I felt like he genuinely wanted to provide good service to me. The food is not bad and actually quite good. Everything was fresh and I thought the portions were perfect for me because I was dining alone. I ate plenty and felt like I could eat more but had some timing restraints. I, especially, loved the thick chili splashed noodles, they were so good!! I enjoyed the vinegary sauce that came on top. The hot chrysanthemum tea was great and tied the whole meal together. I think the tableware is cute and the restaurant had nice decor.

Yelp
Duck was the highlight for me. Nice & crispy with a generous amount of wraps. The wuhan hot dry sesame noodles were also good! Was surprising to see it on the menu. I think could be improved with a slightlyyy more watery sauce to allow for more easy mixing but i'm just happy to see it on the menu. Pork belly needed more flavor despite visually looking very flavorful. Eggplant and green beans were fairly standard. Service was great though! They were very attentive and quick.

Yelp
Finally tried this place after seeing it pop up so much on my feed... The Peking duck was probably the highlight. The chicken lettuce wraps were also very good, except it would've been nice if they used lettuce that was actually more crisp and bowl-shaped so that it could actually be eaten with the chicken. Had to scoop out half of the chicken before I was able to pick it up and eat it like a wrap, but by then the lettuce was all cooked and softened from sitting in the heat and oil. Everything else was ok- we also got the sizzling beef w/scallop, wonton noodles, egg plant, golden fried tofu, and soup dumplings. Flavor base for most things was very peppery. The only thing I would definitely NOT recommend would be the soup (less) dumplings- they were dry before it even hit the table!

Yelp
My recent dining experience at Stellar 66 was nothing short of exceptional. Accompanied by a friend, we indulged in a variety of small dishes that left us thoroughly impressed. From the perfect texture and flavor of the assorted dumplings to the unparalleled crispiness of the Szechuan fried pork, every dish was a highlight. The Szechuan spice powder elevated the flavors, enhancing not only the pork but also the Dan Dan noodles. The attentive and friendly service, coupled with the elegant tea set for the hot tea, added an extra layer of charm to the dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Chinese cuisine or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Stellar 66 is the place to be.

Yelp
New restaurant that probably needs to figure out a few things still. I had trouble managing my expectations - the restaurant has a night club/bar vibe but the food isn't fancy or anything lol. Most servers seem like ASU students and our server didn't really know how to explain menu items until we switched to using Chinese. They also missed giving us the rice they told us our walnut shrimp would come with - had to remind em. Fave dish was braised eggplant. Very tender, flavorful, goes great with white rice. Yangzhou fried rice is a standard dish, they do it well too. Pork ribs dry pot was too salty. Peking duck soup was suuuper game-y. I couldn't finish my bowl so gave the rest of the soup to my friend to take home. Not my preference but jf you don't mind game-y then maybe it'll be fine for you. Walnut shrimp was fine and as expected. Half peking duck didn't have much flavor and no crispy skin at all. But at least the meat was tender. Wish they offered a lid on the pancake wrappers bc they dried up pretty quickly. Overall, wouldn't return as there are other Chinese restaurants we prefer more in Tempe/Mesa area.

Yelp
Food, service we're great!! So many dumplings to choose from and many other options! Order up!

Yelp
I found this restaurant in the rebook. Tonight their food was very disappointing! American friends said their Kongpao chicken is much worse than the Panda Express. Chinese friends recognized their food were preprepared instead of freshly made. I found the traditional Chinese dumplings not only were often broken, but the three fresh leek dumplings have NO leek at all! In the end, I want to post my comments on the red book platform. This restaurant only allows their friends to post! What a garbage restaurant and platform!!!!
