Don’t believe the hype! This place sucks! Vons grade bagels, rotten yogurt parfaits that take 30 minutes when it’s the easiest thing to make. This happened when it was slow too. It’s absolute garbage painted to look pretty. TRENDY MENU, TRASH FOOD

Google
Went here thanks to 4.5 stars google reviews but was not expecting this much line. Was there at 7:30 am, google says opens at 7 am and the line was already from cashier to way past the door. Should have announced that as early as 530 am, the cafe is open. I even saw in their menu that from 5:30-7:30 they offer happy hour - cup of coffee free for order of breakfast sandwich Speciality coffees were tasty especially the stellar brûlée, however, the food took more than 30 mins for a bagel cheese egg. I even asked the tall guy in flannel shirt if they called in my order and his reply was so annoying, “oh you have to wait more” I guess they were lacking staff and overwhelmed with lots of customers. Like i said I arrived there at 7:30 and went out at 8:50 am. The long wait ruined the vibe, as the interior itself looked cute and cozy, with hammered copper pendant lights, rustic seating and even with free board games First and last visit, the price for breakfast burrito , bomber bagel, matcha latte medium and stellar brûlée came to almost 50 usd. Not worth the wait and to be honest , kinda overrated.

Google
Had a quick stop at this cute and cozy spot! Ordered dirty chai lattes with oat, delicious drinks and quick service! Will definitely be back to taste other drinks ☕️

Google
Such a cozy coffee shop with a fantastic variety of drinks and food options! Whether you’re in the mood for an iced coffee, smoothie, or a protein shake, they have it all. Their menu also includes delicious sandwiches, desserts, and even local goods like fresh eggs, healthy juices, and natural products. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy some great flavors in Mammoth!

Google
The cafe is too good the interiors and everything looks awesome. Less option in veg food But mocha coffee was really good Nice place and ambience.

Google
I'm visiting Mammoth Lakes for the month of June, and having that local spot to sip and chill is important to me. More importantly...do they offer quality whole beans to take home?! Check it out...I found the place. Beans and all. I've tried their Americano and their Cappuccino so far, (I'll be back for sure), both delicious and appealing to the eye. The service has been superb, friendly, and efficient. Cool place to hang, inside or out. Feels very quaint and local, and it appears many of the locals frequent the place. Awesome people watching. Their outside seating perfectly embraces the warm sun and mountain air. Just wonderful! Mountain Town vibe and quality coffee! Highly recommend

Google
Amazing coffee shop in Mammoth village. Opens earlier than most at 6am. Grab and go warm breakfast options can also be made to order, made vegetarian etc and are super wholesome. Muffins and cookies and especially bread pudding for sweet treats. Happy hour deal on drip if you bring your own mug!

Google
This is a small breakfast place in Mammoth. It is a vegan and vegetarian friendly place. I had the spinach and potato flat bread with the gotcha matcha smoothie. The smoothie was good and the banana flavor was nice and prominent. The flatbread was decent. My browns had the vegan double Sammy and the banana muffin. Both were ok or average tasting. They have a good choice of food and beverages and some decent merchandise. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the view outside is scenic

Yelp
I originally thought that the bomber bagel was a little pricy for what it is but this ended up being the most filling breakfast bagel I've ever had! I was so full I skipped lunch and had a light snack for dinner. This bagel is LOADED and the homemade pesto inside is amazing. I've also had a couple lattes from here- the turmeric one was not my jam (maybe an acquired taste) but I got the lavender one the day before which was solid. Also to note, I went here multiple days bc it's the coffee shop that opens earliest at 530am! So nice to grab a hot coffee before going out in the cold mountains

Yelp
Decided to check this place out after comparing a few other smoothie spots. We stopped by about an hour before closing, so it wasn't busy at all. There's a good selection of snacks, merchandise, and even some warm food available. The menu is straightforward, and it's nice that you can substitute ingredients in your drink if you'd like. Service was super quick, and the atmosphere was cozy without feeling crowded. It's a great spot to hang out with friends, relax solo, or bring your laptop to get some work done. Smoothie was great, heavy on the banana flavor. Prices are pretty high but this seems like a town that relies heavily on tourism so it's understandable.

Yelp
I added cilantro pesto to my bagel, which was unique, but the wait was so long for ordering ahead online on a Friday morning and the bagel wasn't that great...

Chris B.

Yelp
Decided to try it for breakfast because a bogo drink special they had on Facebook. The drinks were delicious my mocha was rich and chocolatey. I loved the ambiance. The breakfast sandwiches were tasty and kept me full till dinner!

Yelp
Cute little shop that is really adding to the small mountain-town vibe. There's a decent amount of seating, with plenty of outlets which was nice. Employees were friendly. Their coffee was not my favorite but still yummy and I had a good time.

Yelp
15.00 for a breakfast burrito, 20 minutes to make it. It better be worth it. And yes it was. I had turkey, bacon and cheddar. Left out the onions and bell pepper. My first time and I like the place. The lady taking my order had a very nice accent but unfortunately she didn't articulate her words or look at me when she spoke so I had to ask her to repeat herself each time she asked a question. Some folks just can't process. Maybe slow down and articulate.

Yelp
Cute little cafe located in Mammoth!! My friends and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The line was out the door but it moved quickly! Workers were friendly & helpful. The inside is small, but there's also plenty of outdoor seating / benches. I got the Bomber Bagel, which was delicious! I chose the everything bagel for my bread. It came with a fried egg, tomato, spinach, cream cheese, and their homemade cilantro pesto. It was honestly the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I don't know what they put in their pesto sauce, but it was SO delicious! I noticed some fresh garlic pieces in there which added so much flavor! I also got the spiced chai latte. It had the perfect amount of spice. Would definitely get both of those again! This place is definitely a must - try on a trip to mammoth.

Yelp
My husband and I came here on a lively Saturday morning, and they served us nicely and quickly. He got a stellar brûlée and I got an iced vanilla latte, and both of us had the breakfast burritos. So good and very reasonably priced! We would make this a must stop place the next time we are in Mammoth!
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars to this coffee shop for being open on Christmas Day and serving fresh food and amazing coffee! Breakfast was done right on a snowy, yet sunny day in Mammoth. The warm, generously sized breakfast burritos and the comforting lattes were exactly what we needed. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, which are just as satisfying. The cozy, homey atmosphere and excellent service made this spot stand out, especially when so many other places were closed.
google avatar

Yelp
Extremely friendly service. Their bagel breakfast sandwich was absolutely amazing. I had the bombers bagel for breakfast and it was delicious. Very friendly local spot in town. Great for a quick bite to eat.

Yelp
We always stop here when we're in Mammoth, it's our favorite quick breakfast place. They've up their game with new breakfast offerings and we're here for it!!

Yelp
Some friends and I ordered breakfast here this past Sunday and the woman working the register told me it was a 30 minute wait for food. By the time the food actually arrived, more than an hour had passed. It was also just generally a bad vibe from the staff. Definitely one of those places where you feel like you are inconveniencing the them by being there. The food and coffee were honestly pretty good, but def not worth all that.
google avatar

Shemesh Y.

Yelp
$15 breakfast bowl. It was good - fresh Avocado and arugula. Rice was hard and definitely made some days prior... Also, it took forever and despite mentioning I'm eating in, I got this container that was hard to eat from.

Robert C.

Yelp
Not crowded like the Looney bean but I can see why. Coffee is a buck more, not alway hot because not very busy. Thats why I order a Americano. Food good but expensive. Breakfast burrito 5 bucks more than Looney bean. But I still go, always no line and a place to sit. Coffee only.
google avatar

Richard S.

Yelp
We had much better quality coffee drinks at other places in town. We all wanted extra hot but unfortunately all were just warm. My flat white tasted like mostly milk. Nice guy helping, served timely, but competition in town is too great for me to return.
google avatar

Yelp
Food - terrible Service- terrible Ambiance- very mid The breakfast burrito was cold, the eggs were questionable. In addition, we ordered a plain bagel with butter to wait 10 minutes for them to bring out a cold bagel wrapped in plastic. Then when we asked to have it toasted we waited another 15 minutes for them to forget about our bagel, the cashier touched it with his hands only to bring it around the corner to have us toast it ourselves. For the price you pay for food and drinks here I would highly recommend saving your money and going literally anywhere else.

Yelp
This is a tiny eclectic community space with super delicious coffee and friendly staff. Customers are locals for the most part and it's a beautiful mix of musicians, skiers and families. I ordered the honey latte and it was excellent. A must see if you're in the area! Sadly though, I must remove a star for the somewhat outrageous pricing. Food is super expensive.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
A little crazy people waiting in line for coffee and food they have stuff premade so you don't have to wait. Really cozy in here people just hanging around also outside they have some picnic benches under some nice shaded trees. I ordered a trail mix coffee drink very sweet and a bread pudding if you order it hot they pour over some hot cream over it. It has fig and honey over it which makes it sweet but the combination makes it taste really good it's really think to. The fig in top gives it a nice flavor.

Yelp
Great, healthy choices! Friendly service too! Good place to grab a breakfast sandwich before heading to adventure!

Yelp
This place is excellent and I go here nearly every time I visit Mammoth! The burritos are ready to go, delicious and filling, and their coffee is great! It's always popping with people and the employees are very welcoming.

Yelp
Came back 4 months later and still very satisfied with the food and service. "Nicky" is a definite asset to this business. Always cheerful and strives to remember customer names. I'm a business owner and would be so pleased to have someone like Nicky working with our customers.

Ben V.

Yelp
The breakfast burritos are very good. The bacon burrito had lots of egg (not just potato filler). They had vegetarian burritos with egg, cheese, and potato. The vegan burritos had tempeh - very delicious. All these burritos are available pre-made in a warm case. Made-to-order burritos are also available. The Morning Glory muffins are large, freshly baked, and amazingly delicious. The bathroom is clean and easy to access. Many locals frequent this coffee shop. The staff are friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop next to the gas station on a main street. The moment you walk in, you can feel that they were going for the homey and welcoming feel. There are board games and guitars that you are encouraged to play with. The staff greets you the moment you come in and are super helpful and kind. I came in to get some joe as I was about to head back home on a 6-hour trek and wanted some caffeine in me. I ordered the trail mix mocha - which, the best way I can describe it is rocky road flavored coffee. It's a bit sweet normally, so be sure to ask for it to be less sweet.

Yelp
Saturday morning in Mammoth, I had a terrible latte elsewhere in town. I decided to stop at Stellar Brew to make up for this tragedy. I ordered the Maca Magic smoothie and a shot of espresso. The shot of espresso was great, cannot say the same about the smoothie. One sip in, the disappointment hit. The Maca Magic tasted like purple ice water. No flavor, no nothing. There was something terribly wrong with this drink. When requesting a new smoothie, the staff appeared as if they saw a ghost. My request to replace my abysmal drink was declined. I abandoned the drink before leaving. Praying nobody will suffer the same misfortune at Stellar Brew.

Yelp
My wife and I love the camp vibe of the shop. We recommend you try their chocolate chip cookie. That thing was bigger than a hockey puck and was delicious. Service was warm and inviting. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I mapped out the local coffee/breakfast places in Mammoth and Stellar Brew kept coming up. I didn't realize that it was so close because it across the road from another spot that our group had been to. When we walked in I realized Stellar catered to backpackers-they had a rather large grab n go section where a lot of pre-made foods were available. It seemed like the only made to order items were the drinks. I'm not a coffee drinker so I went with one of their smoothies as a drink but then got one of their everything bagel breakfast sandwiches from their pre-made section. The smoothie seemed to follow the Jamba juice formula, juice with some fruits thrown in. While the breakfast sandwich was a little on the small side-kind of like their dine-in space. I ended up taking my food outside and finishing my semi-satiating food with the assist of a lot of their packaged Cholula sauces. Maybe the coffee here is good, but if you're looking for a breakfast option that ISN'T quick serve maybe go somewhere else.

Yelp
Groovy babyyyy. The perfect way to start a day on the slopes! We recently hit up Stellar Brew while in Mammoth for a group birthday trip. This coffee shop serves up a number of quirky beverages, baked goods, and bites. I ordered the matcha mango beverage, a combination new to my tastebuds. The drink was sweet with an earthy aftertaste. I also got the turkey bagel sandwich, which was loaded with a ton of veggies and fresh thinly sliced turkey. The only bummer was that it was on the dry side. Highly recommend checking out this local artsy coffee shop when you're in the area!

Yelp
Idk wtf happen to this place, sad.. went in for a burrito friday right before 12 pm.. grabbed my burrito and salsa by the hot case and proceeded to the register. Paid cash, and the women at the register proceeded to slam down the tip jar on the counter before giving me my change, all ones mind you. SHe could've just given me a 5 dollar bill.. that kinda attitude NOBODY is GETTING A TIP. ESPECIALLY if im grabbing my own burrito from a hot cabinet I wish i had accidentally left my go pro on and got that on video. It would've been hilarious. Anyways. I remember this place being so vibrant, happy, warm, and welcoming! Now... idk mammoth do better

Yelp
Very reliable coffee. A couple weeks ago I was staying in the village and went to the coffee shop there, but it was awful. I ended up driving over here. This weekend I got coffee from a place in bishop and it was foul, so I stopped at Stellar. Just come here and save yourself the trouble!

Olivia M.

Yelp
The Venmo and go option is genius for an early day on the slopes. My burrito was delicious and fast. 6/5

Yelp
I swung by here for breakfast a couple of times while I was in Mammoth last week, and I must say, the food here is top-notch. Their breakfast burritos and bagels are perfect for a quick, tasty morning meal on the go. Both the bagel and burrito were absolutely delicious. On my first visit, I also tried their cocoa mate latte, and it was heavenly--rich, flavorful, and just what I needed to kickstart my day. The staff during that visit were friendly, helpful, and all-around awesome. However, on my second visit, I'm not entirely sure what kind of drink they handed me. It certainly wasn't the Yerba mate latte I had ordered and enjoyed the day before. There was barely any cocoa flavor, and I couldn't even identify the type of tea in it (and it definitely wasn't Yerba in the tea bag). It was so gross that I couldn't bring myself to finish it. I'm hoping it was just a one-off mistake--the lady working seemed a bit overwhelmed and not too thrilled to be there that day. Unfortunately, by the time I realized the mistake, we were already halfway down the hill. I'll be back next week when I'm in Mammoth again, and hopefully, my next cocoa mate latte will be just as delicious as the first one I had.

Yelp
I wanted to go to Elixir for breakfast, but they don't open until 10, and I can't wait to eat that late. So I popped across the street to Stellar instead. Lots of yummy looking things on their menu, but I just picked a premade breakfast burrito out of their "grab and go" case. The price wasn't labeled and it was very small, but sounded good. Then I got to the counter and it rang up as $12.56. I almost fainted, and I would have put it back if I hadn't been too embarrassed to do so. How can such a tiny, little burrito cost so much?!?!? Two weeks later and I'm still appalled. But damn it if that little burrito wasn't the best meal I ate my entire time in Mammoth: mildly spicy, full of flavor, and plenty warm and fresh tasting. Overpriced for sure, but honestly? Worth it for a tasty bite.

Joseph A.

Yelp
Over priced garbage, $13 for an already made small bacon breakfast burrito, was 90% egg almost no bacon and no flavor , got an $8 large smoothie that's looked more like a small and when I got it , it was all watery , a juice basically not a smoothie. Save your time and your money. Don't come here

Libby A.

Yelp
The coffee and food was delicious. Burritos were a little lackluster in flavor and seating was hard to come by. Still, our coffee was out quickly and it was very inviting, just wish it were larger!
google avatar

Daysia V.

Yelp
went on a trip to mammoth lakes and this was by far my favorite coffee shop in the area! I got the iced stellar brûlée coffee and it was absolutely amazing. def haven't had a good coffee like that in a while. :)
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
Great way to start a morning! Plenty of coffee and smoothie options and I appreciated the various grab and go food options they had. Surprisingly I really liked the grab and go quinoa salad. Very flavorful and a good way to make sure I get my veggie fix before a hike! Also solid oat milk latte. Note the location is pretty small and seems to be pretty packed so plan on taking to-go or sharing tables if needed.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Great place to get a coffee or bakery. The owner is super nice. Would come back when next time in town
google avatar

Aliya S.

Yelp
all the hot food here is so good and the drinks are delicious and very well made. VERY high quality food. This cafe definitely cares about its community. Not to mention it's so cute! A must stop for sure.
google avatar

Shawn L.

Yelp
Great local coffee shop with very good latte's and amazing homemade muffins. Staff were very friendly and the place had a really cool vibe. Highly recommend this spot!
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
We stopped by a couple times on our recent trip up to Mammoth. We had a trail mix mocha ( lots of flavors going on), and a botanical dirty chai- which was great, a bit more of a mellow chai as opposed to a spicy one. Also had some of the grab and go breakfast burritos. Everything was tasty and we would come back. Local hats and other small gift items too
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
Tasty breakfast sandwiches and tasty coffee. I am downgrading my previous review from a 5 star to a 4 star because this place has gotten expensive. Additionally, the coffee tastes good, but it's not that strong. The coffee itself is more expensive than Starbucks, and does not have that's coffee "morning kick". The pros: The breakfast sandwiches are tasty. They're essentially a bagel that's buttered, with two fried eggs and either a sausage or bacon. This sandwich kept me full for hours. I went on a 4 hour hike after eating the sandwich, and was still full. The coffee itself is tasty. I do feel like you're paying for a sugary coffee opposed to strong morning coffee. The burritos are good too, you just have to like all the ingredients they put in it. The cons: aside from what's mentioned above, I also think it's expensive. You're paying $15 for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. That's too much in my opinion. The breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos are now premade. You cannot order anything special anymore, whatever is premade in the warmer is it. I still like it so I will return, but not as much as I usually do.

Markus F.

Yelp
The coffee here is outstanding, and the breakfast was wonderful on a Saturday morning. We loved the bowls and the bagel sandwich. The service is super friendly and helpful, and it was fun hanging out for a bit.

Yelp
Short answer- "Yes" Longer answer- I have been coming to this place for a few years. I believe right when they opened. It's great to have a small coffee shop. That's different from everyone else in the neighborhood. They have some cool unique stuff inside. Interesting foods. Interesting bakes. They have great breakfast burritos. Fantastic Turkey cranberry salad they have delicious water and great choice in different from other store drinks. I like the difference. I like the uniqueness. This place is definitely a place that needs to be supported by the entire town. Not just visitors. The people inside are always very nice. the ambience is very warm. Kind of homey. Welcoming. Plenty of parking outside. The building is located next to the Chevron gas station and is blue color with white Christmas lights all over it. Go support them. Spend some money. Their black coffee has a unique flavor. Better than Starbucks. Both dark roast and medium roast are great coffees. I've had them both. So go inside and spend some money. This place is cool. You will like it.
google avatar

Vicki D.

Yelp
Great cafe in the heart of Mammoth. You can't miss the blue building. They have all kinds of healthy food and snacks here, plus smoothie and coffee and food. They had some nice to go items too-overnight oats, cookies, sandwiches, even kombucha and sparkling water. Fun, local merchandise is sold here--I saw maple syrup, CBD stuff and all kinds of merch with phrases about love . Covid-friendly outdoor seating too. Lots of parking. Friendly staff! Give them a visit when you're in Mammoth (or if you're a local of course)!

Let T.

Yelp
Coffee & breakfast burritos are delicious. Customer service is great! Always my go to stop for breakfast & drip coffee when I visit mammoth!

Yelp
COVID review: they are open! Seems like a lot of the places in Mammoth aren't updated during COVID so be aware of closing times and such. Anyway, this place follows COVID guidelines. They have a max number of people allowed in the store at a time. They have outdoor seating. A private lot to park in. Everything is organic and they have vegan options as well. I liked that they had a big selection of stuff compared to similar places. One thing they don't have is straws but they sell metal and bamboo straws for about a dollar each. So it was a little awkward drinking my ice blended drink through a hole but it was still fine. I got the white chocolate blended coffee drink with extra sugar. Definitely hit the spot. Normally I like coffee bean drinks, so this was a good sub. Came here twice during my trip. Friends liked what they got too, one got a smoothie and the other got another coffee drink. Would go here again.

Yelp
Sad to write this but the fact is that my coffee and my food were not good. I'm not sure what's going on but they didn't seem to have actual ordering so I picked out a wrap from the fridge and it was disgusting. Almost inedible. I ate it cause it was $8 or more (can't recall) but it was borderline hard to stomach. My coffee actually didn't even taste like coffee just pure almond milk. Overall rough experience but my boyfriend liked his cold brew so 3 stars!
google avatar

Karolina N.

Yelp
Pretty cool coffee & snack spot in Mammoth Lakes! I only had lattes and baked goods on my visits here. Their other food options look great though - including a take-away section. The coffee was good and I enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies & banana muffin (vegan and gluten-free). They do charge $0.75 for non-dairy milk which is always a downer (options of hemp, oat, almond, and... One more I can't recall). Lots of fun merch inside. It's a bit loud inside if you're thinking to work from here. There is outside seating though this place is located on a relatively busy street for Mammoth. I was still able to sit outside and do some work but being on a call when a loud truck rolls by isn't the best :) outside seating is dog-friendly, just leave them outside when ordering inside. Free wifi worked well on my visits here and there is plenty of parking around.

Jake G.

Yelp
Best burritos in town (breakfast)! Coffee is a bit pricey, but it's at 9k feet, so worth it every time. Staff is great and bathrooms clean, super chill atmosphere
