Stem And Glory Review - City - London - The Infatuation

"Stem and Glory might sound like a flower shop with a penchant for the dramatic, but it’s actually an all-day vegan restaurant near the Barbican. This place serves the kind of plant-based food that makes you feel like you could run a marathon, or at the very least make it back up the office stairs without having to stop for breath. Think rainbow bowls, jackfruit bao burgers, kimchi pancakes, and a vegan full-English on the weekends. Several of their salad bowls (our choice is the Darwin) are available to take away, and as well as the usual boozy suspects (craft beer, wine, cocktails) there’s also a whole bunch of mocktails and loose leaf teas." - Heidi Lauth Beasley

If I could give this place more stars, I would!! It was so nice to have such a wonderful choice of food options all made so creatively. I had the “sea bass” which was just incredible, my husband had the king oyster mushroom tacos which were delicious and we shared the Bang Bang Broccoli which was also amazing! I wished we lived closer to visit regularly but we’ll definitely be coming back!

Great atmosphere on a Saturday night the service was also fab for a large table. Starters were amazing however the tacos main was very disappointing. They literally crumbled in my hand. I was unable to pick it up and had to use a knife and fork to finish the meal. I would also say that the Taste wasn’t very great either. I ordered a can of flavoured water which was £5 so when severed in a tall glass of ice it really took away any hint of flavour. I did bring this up to the waiter who said that’s how it’s served so be specific when ordering things. The tiramisu was delicious! The meal was quite expensive for what it’s worth

Booked for our anniversary dinner and had such a lovely time. Staff were friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, in fact it was so good we ended up heading back for Sunday lunch the next day! I have to say, the redefine beef flank blew my mind, so tasty, we will definitely be back.

We visited Cambridge specifically to eat at Stem & Glory for our anniversary. We were very impressed! The food was delicious, tasty, well presented and great portions. All the staff were friendly, helpful and offered great menu advice. The buffalo cauliflower wings where wonderful. A fabulous vegan experience!

Came here for a Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic, we had the king oyster “scallops” these were melt in the mouth, missing a little sea flavour and a touch on the small side. Bang bang broccoli, this was to die for, quite a big portion, so glad we shared. Nice kick of spice added to it. Fillet mignon was our main, this was so good, the truffle really came through the sauce, my only criticism is that there was a lot of pepper, a little too much for my taste. Overall a great meal.

Shared a meal here with my partner on Friday and had a fantastic time. We had the steak and the gnocchi, and they were both delicious. I was concerned it would be a tiny serving of gnocchi, but it was pretty generous! The steak was really good, possibly the best imitation steak I've tried. We treated ourselves to drinks and dessert as we were celebrating. My partner has the tiramisu which was perfect, very light and creamy. I had a summer fruits crumble, which was equally delicious. Our waiter was really attentive and friendly, and gave us great recommendations for what to try. Thanks Dave! We will definitely be back, it's wonderful to have a restaurant with so many new things to try.

Visiting from Brighton as this menu looked great and wanted to try. Service was polite and friendly, sat outside as weather was lovely. Had the mushroom scallops and Italian sausage pizza which was generous and the base was spot on. The only negative was that the menu said fries however when served they were more potato wedges and quite chunky. Wifey had the harisa tofu which went down a treat. For desert we opted for raspberry sorbet and the choc cheesecake with blood orange sorbet, both great. Would come back to try more of the menu.

It was the perfect way to end our visit to Cambridge, and such a delightful surprise! You wouldn't expect to find such delicious food near the railway station. We ordered the vegan King Oyster Scallops and Thai Crab Cakes as small plates, and the Fillet of Sea Bass and Redefine Fillet Mignon as large plates. Every single dish was excellent. I’ve been vegan for 7 years and have traveled a lot, but this restaurant is the best I’ve ever been to. It's a pity they are only in Cambridge for now. However, if you're in Cambridge, whether you're vegan or not, I highly recommend visiting Stem & Glory. Your taste buds will be dancing and singing!
