Stem & Glory turned out to be a fantastic find just a short walk from our Air BnB, and we’re so glad we gave it a try. Although we’re not plant-based or vegan, this restaurant might just have convinced us otherwise.
The menu strikes a great balance—diverse but not overwhelming. We started with the kimchi-stuffed onigiri, which was both flavorful and delightful. The dipping sauce, a tangy ginger with a hint of sriracha, added a perfect kick.
For my main course, I had the Spicy Szechuan Style Aubergine (eggplant for my fellow Americans). It was satisfyingly spicy and enjoyable, though it leaned more towards a sweet and sour sauce rather than a traditional Szechuan flavor. My husband had the tempeh tikka masala, which had a bold flavor (which you look for in an. curry) and had a great spicy kick. We also tried the roast potatoes, which were perfectly seasoned and roasted.
We enjoyed the food so much that we did a takeaway order of their pizzas another night, and those were equally impressive.
