Stopped in for after dinner cocktails. Service, atmosphere, and drinks were tops. Bartender Julian made excellent Old Fashioned.

A friend an I thought we were going to have dinner at Seed. However, with no reservations and no open seats at the bar we were advised we could try Stem Wine bar. Stem wine bar is essentially a sister company to Seed. We walked in and grabbed a seat at the bar. The Female bar tender with blonde hair poured us a glass of water, but did not offer a smile or a name. The energy she gave off is that she did not want to help us!! Paul did come over and asked if he could assist us. He was a lot more helpful than the blonde female bar tender. Note that Since this is a wine bar they serve tapas style items. There is only one entree available and it is a burger. We ordered Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, shrimp, goat cheese dip and paella. The Brussels came out within minutes of placing our order. They offered a new take on Brussels. They were drenched in an oil based sauce, mixed with apples, and bacon. They were decent. Nothing that I would recommend, but also if I had to eat them again I would. Next the deviled eggs arrived( serving of 1.5 eggs). They were beyond disappointing. There was a hint of a truffle taste. I have had the deviled eggs from Seed and they are 10 times better than the ones offered at the wine bar. The shrimp came out next. They are served with bread. The shrimp are served sitting in a butter sauce. This dish was also just ok. The paella finally came out. This was the item that really disappointed me. This tasted like nothing. Literally the worst tasting paella I have ever eaten. The rice tasted like the rice that comes out of the bag that you cook in the microwave. The dish was salty, and it was not served in a cast iron dish as most paellas are. They should change the name of this dish to rice mix, or something more fitting. The goat cheese dip was another disappointing item. This tasted like warm cream cheese topped with some meat. When asked what was used to make this item, we were told that it's cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and goat cheese. However, this is what the menu reads: baked goat cheese dip: Medjool Dates, Bacon, Pistachio, Balsamica, Baguette. The name of this dip is very misleading. It's primarily cream cheese topped with goat cheese. Overall this was a disappointing dining experience. I would recommend that if you are not able to dine at Seed skip this place. I would hate for you to experience this first and fail to experience the greatness of Seed.

Very yummy! Highly recommend Seed. We had the cod and salmon with the corn grit fritter appetizer. Very good dining choice, we will return.

We celebrated our anniversary on a date here and oh my God it was wonderful!!! They were so so thoughtful. From the menu customization (Happy anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Buckenmeyer on top ❤) to setting up a table for us to that wonderful complementary cheesecake (yum!!!) they gave us in the end, it was incredible. We had the Napa Reserve wine flight to start with followed by a glass of Jordan 2015 Cab and Cain concept 2012 Red Blend. I really liked their wine selection. The tapas were also delicious!!! We had paella, scallops and fried artichokes. Everything was delicious and I was especially impressed with the scallops... Overall great place for a date or girls night out or just enjoying some wonderful food and wine. Reservations are recommended and the servers wore mask and it was very clean and safe (important to specify it these days) Can't wait to go back!

Google
My wife and I go to a wine tasting couple times a year here. It is a little pricey but it is a fun thing to do and the wine is good and the food is excellent. They serve appetizers with each two pores of wine. Recommend getting a full glass of wine and a separate appetizer when you get there.

Nice family room atmosphere with a patio. The cuisine is amazing, the wine is divine, & the dessert was delicious all that with Awesome service!

Yelp
Decent wine bar, but tough to get a reservation since they don't answer the phone. Went on a slow weeknight and service was slow but fairly attentive. Pretty spot with nice wine flights and a tasty, but small, tapas menu.

Ketta M.

Yelp
My friend and I came here upon a recommendation, and we really enjoyed. It's a great wine bar with plenty of wine for everyone. Most food is served tapas style and was very delicious. We absolutely loved the baked goat cheese and crispy artichokes. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and they were able to recommend wines that we absolutely loved. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be back for more.

Yelp
We recently went to a wine tasting event and it was pretty good. This event featured five wines with five tapas to give a good variety of flavors. Service was very good - despite a full event, there were plenty of nice, friendly staff checking in to make sure you had what you needed. Wines were several varieties and some you will like better than others - that is expected and why it is a tasting. The only letdown was the food; it was just ok. One was very good - the cod had amazing flavor, one was not good - focaccia crisp with Serrano ham was a pass. The remaining three were just ok. Solid four stars - we had a really nice team and met some fun people. Event ticket per person $120, plus 20% gratuity, plus 8% service fee.

Yelp
This place was pretty cool. I love tapas and am always excited to try new places. Most of the seating is at the bar. They have a few tables in the back and high tops along the wall, but most people were sitting at the bar. This is a place to come, sip wine, slowly eat your food, and chill with friends. Welcoming atmosphere. It was our first time and we felt like regulars by the time we left. We started off with the cheese board. We got the large but honestly could have stuck with a small. We also ordered the paella. I love paella and this was not the traditional paella I was imagining. It was okay but not my favorite. I did, however, love the fried chicken sliders and the crem brûlée. Their wine list is pretty extensive and the staff is very knowledgeable about the wine and food.

Yelp
This is the most interesting and well executed menu in East Cobb! We started with a delicious shaved Brussel sprout salad with a warm bacon vinaigrette then fried artichokes with a caper aioli (seriously, you're going to want this aioli on everything.) The potatoes Bravas are better than any in the city- ethereal texture, crispy and fluffy with just the right spice. Pair it with a nice jammy red! The burger is delicious and surprisingly well balanced (considering it's many components). And the fries are once again crazy good. Any misses? Sure- the dates were good but not great and the cheese and charcuterie board could use a little love. But make no mistake, we ate every bite. This is a wine bar and from that end, it's great as well. The flights are a great way to explore the list. But the surprise here is how good the kitchen is! Can't wait to come back an explore the rest of the menu! By the way, the prices are incredibly reasonable!

Yelp
Absolutely recommend Stem if you're looking for a great place for a date night or to chill with friends. Wine is excellent here and the menu goes well with the wines offered. Marinated olives; deviled eggs and the Marcona almonds are a few of my favorite offerings. Recommend the Tour de France wine flight also!

Yelp
Stem is a popular East Cobb neighborhood restaurant /wine bar that we've visited many times. It has usually been a very enjoyable evening but this past week we had a very disappointing experience. We signed up for a wine tasting with friends, but when we arrived we were seated at the bar at the opposite end of the restaurant because the table where they were seated was full. I asked to be moved down the bar closer to our friends but was told that was 'not the way they do things'; that end of the bar was reserved for walk-ins only. Other people we knew arrived without a ticket for the tasting and were seated where we had asked to be moved, but we were refused. According to our friends, there were plenty of available seats near them for the entire evening. Despite many of them requesting we be moved closer, the staff was uncompromising and rude. I asked for and received a refund and left, but the evening was ruined and the worst experience I have ever encountered in a dining establishment. There are literally hundreds of good restaurants in the Atlanta area, but the one thing that makes a restaurant special is their staff. The staff and management of Stem needs to revisit the rules of customer service. We will not return...

Yelp
Wine by the glass from a simple to self serve machine. Tasting different types of wine and enjoying the patio is awesome!

Yelp
Wine tasting was excellent. Great wines, delicious food paring, and the service was amazing.

Yelp
I've been meaning to visit this place for a while. It's located in a little nook beside Seed. When you walk in, they have the bar partioned off for social distancing...which is nice. They had great selection of wines and small plates for you to select from. The bartenders were the best part. Candice was absolutely lovely! She was super friendly and attentive. Then we had John...well John was awesome! He was made this signature cocktail and it was delicious! The only thing I remembered was that it had gin, celery bitters, and topped off with prosecco. We had the small charcuterie board with our wine. Afterwards, we tried John's cocktail and chatted with them as they were closing. I highly recommend you trying them if you want an intimate experience.

Yelp
Food is outstanding - think small plates with a twist. Good selection of wines. Service has always been very good; friendly and knowledgeable. Small seating area; muted tones. Upscale, neighborhood bar.A little pricey, but worth it.

Doug B.

Yelp
Well run and good food. Even a tv so you can MAYBE catch some if a game while having a pinky out moment with your date

Yelp
All good. Atmosphere. Food. Service. Prices. Wine. Have a great experience. Visit often.

Yelp
We popped in here at 5pm on a Saturday and were those awkward people who arrived as the bartender unlocked the door and let us in. The first thing that I'll say is that our entire experience here was absolutely fantastic. Stem had an amazing selection of wines and offers 3oz pours and flights if you're wanting to try multiple varieties. They even have "take home flights" for your gatherings and events at home. The food was referred to as Tapas, but the portions were much larger than you typically see when dealing with small-plates. The Goat Cheese Dip and the Paella were both absolutely outstanding. My wife and I had planned on having a few drinks and then eating at home, but the food was so good we just kept ordering more. Our bartenders Candace and Maria were both incredible and provided hilarious conversation. We'll certainly be back soon.

Yelp
We tried this place last night for the first time. They are adjacent to the Seed kitchen and I believe is an adjunct establishment as they are connected. Pros: The staff was very friendly and attentive. There are a few tables and mostly bar seating. The music set the mood for an exclusive experience. The selection of wines available was quite extensive. My dining partner and I each tried a flight which I think is the best approach. The Salumi & cheese board was good as were the veal meatballs. I recommend the sparkler flight it was very light and a good start to our night. Cons: The pricing for an individual glass of wine I feel was marked a bit on the higher side, and it did not necessarily correspond to the pricing for the flights (definitely the better value). Also for the pricing on the large meat & cheese board I would have expected more comparable portion sizes as some other restaurants we've been to.

Yelp
This place was amazing! The service, drinks and appetizers are just crazy good! Love this place me and my date have a great time! Will be back again for sure!'

Yelp
Disclaimers: - I'm not a wine drinker so their wine list would be lost on me. I do appreciate them having a full bar and a very good cocktail list; - I have only been here once thus far on a Monday for a private Mother earth Beer Dinner and have no knowledge about the regular menu choices. With that being said, I expected the atmosphere inside to be more vibrant and the bar more spacious. Instead it is just pretty much the bar and 3 small tables. Again, I do not know what this place is like on a regular day as far as the crowd, noise level etc. The beer dinner consisted of 5 courses, all paired with Mother earth beers or house cocktails for those who do not drink beer. We were greeted right away and were given a basket of beer pretzel nibs with a side of mustard. I personally prefer a bread basket. We also ordered pre-dinner drinks - Vieux Carre and Maine "something", both rye based - and both were delicious. First course was Red snapper crudo and although lovely, did not need the oil at all. They paired it with some kind of a wine/pom/champagne concoction which I wasn't a fan of. Second course was Chorizo, fig and focaccia stuffed calamari and this was probably my least favorite dish. Other than the calamari itself, there was no texture to the dish. The stuffing was just mush. Third course was my absolute favorite - Braised pork cheek with stewed hominy, corn, and okra. I can eat this every day. It was so tender, rich, and robust, but not overwhelming. Strangely, they paired it with Paloma cocktail with is kind of light and citrusy and did not go with this dish. I would have done a manhattan or something. I was very much looking to the forth but was quite disappointed - the duck breast was overcooked and extremely tough. I couldn't even cut into it. They did end up bringing a replacement with looked 100% better but unfortunately just as tough. The hash was good though and the duck leg meat in it was extremely tender (which is usually the opposite). This was paired with the Vieux Carre. The fifth and final course for me was orange flan (substitution per request) and it was excellent. They paired it with lemoncello but their version was jsut too sweet on top of the sweet desert. Overall: the service was prompt, I loved the drink menu, and there is plenty of parking. All of the courses were explained as well as the beers, and for $75 pp with drinks and gratuity included it was a great deal.

Carla H.

Yelp
Great wine selection, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable wine staff, plus generous portions on the tapas.

Thi T.

Yelp
Dark, dim. Lovely ambiance. Excellent service. Fun menu. This day's large charcuterie and meat plate includes FOUR different types of cheeses (mix of soft and hard.. See menu board) and FOUR different salami. Who knew there were so many different salami?! I love it all. Also tried the succulent shrimp, no extra sauce needed. Bacon wrapped dates are good. However, I'll save the calories for something different next time. All this in addition to bread and quality olive oil was adequate too fill up two! Definitely recommend going with friends to sit at their table. A bff to sit at their high tops. Or a significant other to cozy up at the bar. Will definitely return to try more items and give this place a FIVE star! Space is limited. Apparently they take reservations but when I arrived, it was self-seating. Plenty of parking up front as the lot is shared with other businesses, including sister restaurant, Seed!

Yelp
I cannot give enough positive praise to the management, the staff and their service at Stem Wine Bar. They handled a private party in honor of my mom, and it was truly PERFECT. If you are looking for a cozy, private party, Stem will exceed your expectations. The food was all wonderful and beautifully presented. The flowers were exquisite. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event, and I highly recommend Stem for any private or work functions you might be planning. Thank you again to everyone who made this a lovely & memorable event for my mom (Elisa) ~

Andrew W.

Yelp
The Seed Kitchen & Bar has sprouted and the Stem Wine Bar has grown from it next door. Wait, I had something for this... what's next the Flower...uhm... Flour Dessert Room? Ok, I tried. Wow, what a cool place! On a Friday night, there were only two bartenders (who were also our waiters) and one bar-back/busser operating the whole front-of-house. Despite having at least 20 customers in house, they handled the whole operation smoothly. Very impressive. They offered a decent selection of wines both by the bottle and by the glass (including premium wines by the glass using an Enomatic wine preserving and dispensing system). I noticed a few more Spanish wines than I usually find in restaurants, which is a huge plus for me because I tend to favor them. In fact, I detected a Spanish influence across their food menu as well - such as marinated olives, Marcona almonds, Padron Peppers, Spanish Octopus "a la plancha", chorizo stuffed medjool dates, lamb meatballs, and Gulf Shrimp al Ajillo. The wife and I enjoyed two different Spanish wines - a 2004 Ontañón Rioja Riserva and 2013 La Cartuja from the Priorat. Excellent and affordable ($14 and $13, respectively). For food, we split Arancinis (fried risotto balls) stuffed with smoked mozzarella and placed over green garlic aioli. Very tasty. I loved the garlic aioli which certainly elevated the dish. We also ordered the Chorizo-stuffed Medjool Dates. Bacon-Wrapped Dates (BWD's), are among my favorite foods. Truly. Usually, I've had them stuffed with goat cheese. Here, they are stuffed with chorizo. Excellent. The smoky bacon, sweet medjool dates, and savory complex chorizo made for just about the perfect bite. That said, the ciabatta bread and smoked tomato sauce that was provided with the dates didn't really make sense to either of us. We weren't sure what we were supposed to do with it - Use it to mop up tomato sauce? - Make a sandwich? Dunno. We couldn't resist, had to try the Stem Burger. We split it. When you hear descriptors like "red wine braised short rib, pork belly, Comte, and tomato onion jam" in reference to a burger, how can you say no? You just can't. I challenge you to try. Definitely a unique and enjoyable burger - though about as far from traditional as one can get. Finally, we had dessert - Sticky Toffee Medjool Date Cake. Insanely good. Warm gooey cake. Cold toffee almond ice cream. Sweet (but not overly so). This will make the list of best desserts I've had in Metro-ATL. It was an excellent dining experience overall. I wish East Cobb wasn't so far away from where I live.

Yelp
This is an example of a lovely, elegant, upscale wine bar. The latest song, the menu fairly expensive, and of course, plenty of ones to choose from! I started with their Pinot new are at wine flight. The reason why I give it four stars instead of five is because the Pinot Noir wine flight was brought out but it was in regular classes. When I asked for a Pinot Noir Glasses, our server said "yes, of course!" She then brought the wine flight out in Pinot Noir glasses. My question is this: if the staff knows that Pinot Noir is supposed to be in special classes, why don't they bring out the wine flight in the correct glass? For anyone who thinks I'm being fussy, Pinot Noir is supposed to be served in a different kind of glass who's live is curled outward slightly. This allows the wine to splash in the back of the pilot, which is where it supposed to be tasted for the best enjoyment. :-) Personally, I do notice a difference when I use a different class for a better Pinot Noir. We had two appetizers. Unfortunately, the scallops were a bit overcooked and although the center is warm, they were cooling on the outside and they were served over a cold marinara sauce. The marinara had a slight bite to it, spicy and savory, and it would've been a delicious dish if I had been served hot and cooked just right. However, the shrimp appetizer was served still sizzling in herbed oil in a cast iron skillet and it was excellent! Definitely have the shrimp-in-a-skillet appetizer. They should have included a small plate of bread to dip in the sizzling herbed olive oil. For you ladies that get cold easily, dress warm! The wine bar was a full 10 degrees colder than the restaurant next door and I froze in my dress, even having to put my coat on and my friend's coat over my legs!

Yelp
I am really annoyed to be writing this bad review because I LOVE their other restaurant, Drift, sooo much that I was really excited about Stem. I spent $36 treating myself to a meal from Stem at home. I ordered via UberEats. I ate the following: DEVILED EGGS 3 WAYS - These were great, and my only complaint is that there was so much proscuitto on one of them that it was hard to eat in two bites and got messy. I'd totally order them again and try to get one of the ones I liked as a sub for the prosciutto one. GARLIC CHICKEN WINGS - Spicy like I'd hoped, and I love when wings are served cut into "lollipop" style... However, these do not have a "sauce" or "rub" and they taste like flavorless wings tossed in chili oil and chopped garlic. There was SO MUCH OIL. GULF SHRIMP AL AJILLO - The shrimp was cooked perfectly... too bad that this also was flavorless, tossed with chopped garlic, and then doused in SO MUCH OIL!!! I tried shaking the containers to mix the sauces, but these really truly were just perfectly cooked shrimp and chicken ruined by a gross amount of oil. Super disappointed and totally turned off from returning. At Drift, the food is absolutely worth the money... at Stem... it's not. :(

Yelp
I'm picky about swanky bars. I waited 3 visits to write this... I love wine. And if you love wine like me, you want to talk to someone that knows just enough to make you ponder, "the grapes get their flavor from an adjacent pasture known for organic crop rotation in a region notorious for acidic soil and challenging climate?" Ok. Got it. You win and my wine is good and that makes you good in my book. Really, I'm just in love with liquor. All kinds. Classic mixology intrigues me the way perfect pancakes do. You see, pancakes, to be perfect, only require a few basic ingredients (and no, I'm not a "just add water" type of guy.). But they are soooo easy to screw up. It's the same with a good cocktail. The secret ingredient in both is care and attention. Stem gives you that. The three different bartenders I've tested with the classic Vieux Carre have each nailed it with such consistency I could have sworn it was really just all one night in sequence. But it wasn't - it was three separate times. I now love you for cocktails. The food menu is limited but appropriate for such a place. It is narrowed only to amuse bouche-like delicacies such as oysters and charcuterie. All good. The atmosphere is casual and not pretentious, but feel free to have a dressed up night here, because they will treat you like you are so you might as well. An old school throw back to days when good bars were great - and it's next to Seed. Need I say more?

Eric P.

Yelp
Where do I begin? Well, how about a nice, crisp Gruner Veltliner? This would go great with the oysters on the half shell...and I will next time. Instead, we had the roasted Marcona almonds and charcuterie. Then finished with a bottle of one of my favorites; Aprille by Gargiulo. This is a spectacular Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon blend by one of Napa Valley's best. I know the retail price and therefore know Stem isn't overboard on markup. The ambiance is great. Another grownup bar in the E Cobb corridor. Yep, so worth the drive.

Jeff T.

Yelp
Tremendous little adjunct space for next door Seed. Yes, great wines and flights but some really nice noshing food as well. Do a small salami and cheese board and then whatever else hits you right. Be aware that the desserts and dessert wines demand some attention too. You could roll up for just that to top off a great night.

Aarti P.

Yelp
Nice small comfortable neighbourhood wine bar. The staff was fun when engaging our group but personally going too long between check ins. Had a nice Sauvignon Blanc wine flight, a good selection of wines, also watched the knock out some great looking cocktails. The food is good just not great. Got the cheeseboard, padron peppers (can't go wrong on this dish), thrice cooked fries (nothing extraordinary), farro salad (fresh tasting) and arancini (lil bland). If I had a place like this walking/short distance from my house that would be a win, but not somewhere to seek out from great distance.

Nadine W.

Yelp
Wow. Loved the Salmos--Paired well with the octopus and the blistered pardon peppers. I am glad I got some veggies in because the bone marrow was Phenomenal. I had the Hollis CSB with the bone marrow. A mazing presentation and amazing flavors. The foie gras was great. A must! They don't take reservations. Just walk up to the bar. There are a few side tables.

Yelp
I attended a wine tasting at Stem Wine Bar and am so very impressed. The food was outstanding! The people who work there are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Stem! S. Fodor

Don S.

Yelp
This is what a wine bar should be. First, the wine. The wine selection includes conventional but well chosen selections along with eclectic and esoteric choices. And the serving temperatures are perfect. They offer wine flights. And some wines come in three and six ounce pours. It's all good. Food: plenty of small plate choices, from cheese and salami plates to fried peppers (think Barcelona) and shrimp in olive oil and garlic. Service is attentive but not overbearing.

Meg R.

Yelp
Hear this my foodie friends: Stem= date night done right! Love the low key vibe here and oh WOW on the raw shaved Brussels sprouts salad. I could eat it by the trough! Thanks Deion for recommending an awesome bottle of red to savor with dinner.

Sophie W.

Yelp
Great little neighborhood wine bar. The ambiance is quaint and cozy during the winter nights or the dimmed lights also give a relief from the bright sunshine and heat during the warmer months. The food is excellent and complements nicely the wines and cocktails. One of my favorites is the Vieux Carre cocktail.

Heidi P.

Yelp
Let me start this review with what I do not like: I ate sooooooo much! Stem has been much awaited by me and my fellow Seed fan friends, and it lived up to all the expectations and dare I say, exceeded. Ya know what they say about first impressions.. Stem had me at Hello. Greeted us.. I explained we are first timers and have a party of six, not sure where to stick our group at the small, (gorgeous,) narrow, (intimately lit,) terribly comfortable-looking bar. They pointed to the one two tables (non-high tops) in the place and said we could have both. How kind! We had thought it was the chef's table or saved for someones more special than our ladies night. For some reason I had it in my head that Stem would offer the same appetizers and snacks as Seed. Happy to know I was wrong. First thing listed? Prosciutto from right here in Marietta, GA. I wanted to find and kiss that farmer. Smokey and cut so thin, it fell into a ribbon pile. Melts on your tongue. Salumi and cheese plate, yes please. 4&4 plus gherkins, jam, nuts and some other goodies. The next order I placed was Patatas Bravas. What the heck is going on there? No idea but it is a single bite of 7 heavens. Garlic butter shrimp sizzling in a small iron bowl, bacon wrapped dates, French onion fondue (wtf, even?! Where..? How..?), duck confit salad, more and more.. The spread was excellent and well advised by our waiter David. Extensive wine list but not every kind is offered by the glass. They are in sections: whites, reds, etc. Listed from lightest to heaviest. Unless you know what you're doing, stick with one of the six completely adequate flights on the smaller menu. It is easier, a good value, and more fun because they give you a paper placemat with three spots for glasses and a nice explanation for each wine you have. I went with the enticing Pinot trio: Sex In Three Glasses. The David Duband, also found on the higher-end section of the menu, was definitely a favorite. Dessert was equally as difficult for my group to decide on. Flan, tart, truffles- what's a girl to do? Answer: get all three with two girlfriends and share! I didn't try two of them but the double chocolate truffles came with a mini heated fondue pot of melted, bubbling white chocolate(?) It is a good thing yo mama did not come because I would have slapped her! Total indulgence. I definitely want to visit Stem again, maybe solo to enjoy me(-and-wine) time. Super five star experience. Note to self: Try not return to seed tomorrow and next day and next day and next day...

Yelp
"Let me show you how this is done. First thing, hold the glass up and examine the wine against the light. You're looking for color and clarity. Just, get a sense of it. OK? Uhh, thick? Thin? Watery? Syrupy? OK? Alright. Now, tip it. What you're doing here is checking for color density as it thins out towards the rim. Uhh, that's gonna tell you how old it is, among other things. It's usually more important with reds. OK? Now, stick your nose in it. Don't be shy, really get your nose in there. Mmm... a little citrus... maybe some strawberry..." -- Sideways (2004) I think I might hit the character limit of this review by just listing all the dishes we ordered - it was that kind of evening. The perfect spot for a ladies night, or even a date night. What a gorgeous spot! Not even the least bit pretentious, Stem offers the same kind of upscale refinery yet laid back environment of its counterpart Seed (a personal favorite) next door. We were welcomed and treated like family when we walked in the door and immediate accommodated when we explained there would be 6 of us. Quickly two tables were put together and our server, David came to explain the menus to us. Almost immediately, we orders half of the food menu and David managed to keep it all in his head like some kind of savant (not a single item was missed) and he was quick to make sure my tree nut allergy was handled and well communicated to the head chef. Next up - drinks. I selected the flight of Spanish reds (as I am typically a fan) and I was not disappointed. Very soon, our food was delivered in a symphony of plates of gorgeous colors and smells. I could not begin to tell you the order of what came to the table - all I can do is list them out. -Warm duck confit salad - frisee with plump grapes, toasty pine nuts (a seed by the way) and more duck that should be legal anywhere. -Patatas Bravas - Turned potatoes (its a French thing) topped with a pepper sauce and some salt and past that I really cannot describe - you just have to eat them. -Salumi and cheese plate - 4 of each. All you need to know is duck proscuitto -Proscuitto di Georgia - half order - who knew that we grew pigs in the GA that grew up to be yummy cured prozute? -French onion fondue - basically if you turned french onion soup into a super bown party dip turned up 100 notches - #forthewin -Georgia shrimp al aljillo - I think this is what its official name was. Think Shrimp Scampi served bubbling (no joke) with a bit of pepper and better than any scampi you have had in your life... oh and they will keep bringing you baguette until you have sopped up all the garlic sauce. -Chèvre stuffed Piquillo peppers - somehow I never got any of this, but not a big goat cheese fan anyway; but it looked divine. -Chorizo stuffed Medjool dates - also, wrapped in bacon. 'nuff said -Dark Chocolate Budino tart - dark chocolate pudding being held together by a delicate pastry. Not mine, but kept stealing bites. -Salted Caramel Flan - I would have eaten 3 of these if I had the room. -Valhrona Chocolate truffles with white chocolate fondue - beautifully presented and so rich and decadent. So overall, I will come back again. I don't need to eat today, but is that a bad thing really? David deserves a raise - not only did he take excellent care of us, but he helped answer important questions about the mail species - important opinions needed during a ladies night. Well done, David and Stem, well done.

Yelp
We planned to go to Seed, but it was packed. I took a look at the menu for Stem and we went there instead (same chef/owner). So glad we did! The food is creative and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is sleek, dark and urban. Definitely the best meal we've had in the area.

Yelp
This place was FANTASTIC! Love it, so excited about it, and can't wait to come here again! My husband and I went with 2 friends early on a Friday (and man, the place filled up FAST!), and we had so much good wine and good food! Small plates, and we tried a lot of everything. Scallops, steak, mushrooms, oysters, charcuterie - all fantastic! We literally tried EVERY dessert on the menu (yes, all 4 of them) and they were all delish! Our server (wish I could remember his name) was a lot of fun, teeming with knowledge, and made wonderful recommendations, and nailed a truly amazing Riesling pairing with the flan dessert. Now let's talk wine. Oh, let's!! I did the Pinot Noir flight, which was a sizeable pour in each of 3 glasses, each with subtle differences. A fun way to try some new brands and/or wines and not get too much of anything, yet still enough to feel satisfied. Then I switched to a cab that was AMAZING. I didn't even know cab could be like that. Smoky, seriously spicy, and not at all the fruity, tannin-y (is that a word?) cab I'm used to. Just amazing! It's a small place, but the atmosphere is great, the wait staff works it, and the large u-shaped bar is a cozy way to sit and enjoy a lot of great things (a few small tables exist too, but the space is limited). Loved this, can't wait to go back, and I know I definitely will! So much fun and delicious beyond words!

Yelp
My favorite of the 3 (seed, stem, drift)! It is always such a fun and delicious experience every time we visit. I know this seems boring, but the stem burger never disappoints. We have tried just about everything on the menu and LOVE all it! The staff here are just the best. Always happy and are most helpful with recommendations. This is definitely a restaurant of choice for all occasions (since it is so close by). LOVE

Yelp
5 out of 5 stars for sure. This is the grown & sexy wine bar of your dreams. They have a nice variety of flights and an extensive list of by the glass/bottle options to sip on. The service is great; they have a small team, but I never felt like I was being overlooked. Will definitely be back to try one of their formal wine tastings, especially since they pair each tasting with a dish that compliments the wine.

Yelp
I have been to wine bars in Europe, NY Cal and now Atlanta..I have lived here for quite a while and this is the very very first of its kind that is more than outstanding...What makes it so besides the exquisite wine list and appetizers, is the fantastic BARTENDER Frank Settie and Brook. He is the MOST professional and knowledgeable person that you would want to be behind that stunning bar. Brook has a very upbeat personality is very attentive...The appetizers, particularly the hard boiled eggs are stunningly present. So glad that we have this fine establishment in our city.....

Yelp
After a long week of work, I recently suggested to my coworkers that we do happy hour at Stem since I've had good experiences there in the past. We arrived a little before 5 and since they opened at 5, we had to wait. Five o'clock came and went however, and we still weren't allowed in as the staff was having a meeting in the space. When we sat near the door to let them know that they had customers waiting, a member of the waitstaff basically closed the door in our face and told us "The owner is talking to us, you'll have to wait." I was ready to leave and go elsewhere by 5:15, but my friends wanted to try this spot so we waited it out. When we finally got a spot inside, the bartender told us the same thing about the owner talking to the staff. Very little in the way of apology and then the food was not as good as it had been in the past. We will find a new spot for after work socializing next time.

Yelp
My favorite wine bar in the area. It feels like you are walking into a warm secret. Excellent selection of wines, and a great menu. You'll always strike up conversation with someone new.
