My husband and I recently spent a weekend at the Stephanie Inn, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. It was the perfect couples getaway—romantic, relaxing, and beautifully situated right on the coast. One of the highlights of our stay was the intimate chef’s dinner. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and every course was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. It felt like a private culinary experience and made the evening incredibly special. The breakfast each morning was equally impressive. Fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor—it was the perfect way to start the day while enjoying the peaceful oceanfront setting. We also spent time at the spa, which was wonderful. Jordan did our facials and was phenomenal—professional, attentive, and clearly very skilled. It was one of the best spa experiences we’ve had and added so much to the relaxing feel of the weekend. The location itself is ideal—quiet, scenic, and perfect for long walks on the beach while still being close to everything in Cannon Beach. Overall, the Stephanie Inn delivered an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend it on all counts and are already looking forward to coming back soon.

The Stephanie Inn is potentially a destination that when you arrive, the next time you get in your car is when you leave! That is what has happened to us on more than one occasion. If the weather precludes you from a walk on the beach, they always have an activity that you can sign up for. No charge, of course.||This property is easily considered "upscale". The treatment by the staff can be summed up in one phrase, "Yes, now what's your question?". ||We have been fortunate to have stayed here many times, in many different rooms. For the most part, they are all our "favorite". Five of the rooms have steam showers that I am very partial to. However, no matter what room fits your budget, you'll still receive the same impeccable service. And always with a smile.||The property owners, Ryan and Stephanie Snyder will exceed your expectations. Their choice of General Manager, Wendy, has her staff running like a well oiled machine!||Please give this property a try. You'll be glad you did. And, like us, turn in to a many time repeat guest.

Took a friend here for dinner as a thank you treat. It was our first time visit and it was very memorable. The very good food aside, I particularly enjoyed the synchronized eat and greet; we all started at 5:30pm and the chef came out and described the menu to the room. We had a mushroom amuse with bread and butter followed by a spinach salad with pancetta, apples and pecans. Second course was sturgeon from the Columbia River and my first time eating the fish which was yummy. For entree, my friend had the Filet steak and I had the Steelhead (also from the Columbia River) with veggies. All our plates went back empty. My friend had the wine pairing and she said the wines were all excellent and well-paired. She also enjoyed the pecan bourbon tart for dessert. A really enjoyable experience and very good food. Would be happy to return next time we're at the Beach.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect hotel for a little R&R. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my stay. The accommodations were comfortable, and everything felt thoughtfully designed to deliver what I was looking for in my stay at the Stephanie Inn. Their customer experience is 10/10, and I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Towards the end of our vacation portion of the wifey's work trip, with me as the plus one, she chose the Stephanie Inn on Cannon Beach. We had visited Cannon Beach a couple of years ago during a similar trip but had not the pleasure of staying there. For us it was a full-on geek-out moment as Goonies is one of our classic favorites, and the view from our room included the classic silhouette from that movie! As it was approaching yours truly's birthday The wifey felt that she would take it off the deep end and booked us at one of the highest rated hotels, apparently in the entire world! It is truly an elegant inn but not over the top. The service is what would be expected in any luxury resort venue. The community area/library was exceptionally relaxing with wide open ocean views. There were games and puzzles and books for anyone and everyone to enjoy. The check-in process was seamless. They are pretty strict about the 4:00 p.m. check-in however. They have a 4:00 wine and hors d'oeuvre service in the library. They have a 9:00 after dinner aperitif service in the library. They have an amazing restaurant, see my separate review, on the second floor and we're walking distance from our lavishly appointed room. In that restaurant they offer an included breakfast that was delicious! Our room was exceptional in cleanliness and decor. The view from the balcony of the crashing ocean down below and the frolicking, local bunny rabbits, you'll have to see it to believe it, rounded out an amazing experience. The bed was exactly comfortable, and the bathroom was lavish with a soaking tub for two! We even enjoyed their spa which is on par with any we've ever experienced. Although it is apparently now very difficult, if we ever had the chance to get another reservation there, we would be more than pleased, as you should be!

This is for dining only as we did not stay in a room. The dining experience was nice...a little like a good cruise ship dining experience though. What always astounds me is the price gouging on wine. We got one of the cheaper bottles - had the dog on it for about $68 bucks. Just saw it at New Seasons for $23. I mean come on...I get doubling the price, but tripling it (off retail too) is insulting.

You could not ask for better accommodations. Staff made you feel at home and couldn't do enough for you. The free shuttle to town was great. No schedule just when you are ready to go. Loved the afternoon gathering and the views of the ocean are amazing.||

Pricey pricey pricey and crazy pricey for a ocean view. We were frugal and got an inland facing room. Evidently lucky or cheap got the disability room which they claimed was the cheapest room due to no bath and much different height of the furniture still a decent experience. I guess if price is no object you do get for that price first rate service from everyone, world class location and familiar Oregon coast weather. Always come prepared, we came in mid August and got rain and 50s and 30MPH winds, still beautiful. FWIW we felt like babies among the guests and we weren't spring chickens. Excellent Happy Hour as well as night cap!! Expect to meet people with wisdom to share. We splurged for the dining room set menu and enjoyed both the service and the food We will be back again !

This place has it all! We were greeted with blueberry Bellinis on check in. They have an afternoon wine, beer, and charcuterie event on the house for guest everyday. At night they had on the house nightcaps with cocktails and whiskey on the house. The views were amazing. The menu for breakfast changed everyday. The staff made sure to answer any questions and accommodate any needs. Highly recommend!

Awesome hotel. Great location and it's so peaceful. Hotel definitely knows how to do hospitality with their free personal experiences and night cap service. Take advantage of the free bikes and take it along the beach. Breakfast was fresh and tasted delicious. Dinner was good too but make sure you reserve in advance.

Beautiful hotel with its own beach and almost every amenity you can think of. We did s'mores on the beach, drinks at night, social hour, everyone is approachable

The dining experience was really awesome. The staff was sensitive to a couple of food allergies and the chef did an amazing job on the substitutions for my guest. Gotta be honest......the blackberry sorbet that was substituted was better than I could have imagined.

I love everything about the new remodel and the new staff. Superlative place to stay. They only need to change two small things... They need to start using much better coffee and improving their dinner service with larger portions for the prices they are charging. Other than that, excellent!

Lovely! The views from the room are incredible, the room is clean and comfortable. Guest services are excellent. Breakfast each morning exceeded my expectations. I'm usually not a breakfast person but I loved breakfast here. Dinner was decent. It's a prix fixe menu which I do enjoy but I think I've been spoiled by other fine dining experiences and the dinner here was just ok. Nothing memorable. The wine pairing was also just ok. Still, the dining area is cute and cozy and the service is good. I like that it's a small room and that it's exclusive. The spa experience was wonderful the second time I went, the first time it was the worst experience I had ever had. They fixed it so I'm grateful for that and very appreciative. I'd recommend Bryn at the spa. My overall experience at this hotel was pretty close to perfect and I can't wait to come back!

If you are going to impose an age restriction make it more than a footnote in the details or use a platform that allows you to notify potential patrons as a pop up. Speak with staff about proper customer service and how to be cordial when delivering news that you are not welcome to dine at the establishment because of the child your are holding politely, instead of making no eye contact when saying "the dinning room is for 12 and up," in response to me asking where in the faculties the dinning room is located, then telling me to see the front desk without ever even meeting my eyes. Unwelcoming and pretentious policies, won't be recommending and won't be returning; with or without a child.

Incredible experience! I've never really put too much thought into where I stay when I take trips, but I have to say this was the most peaceful weekend I've ever had. While I'm sure they have a lot more going on when we aren't in the middle of a pandemic, we were treated very well here. I have to say, though, my favorite part was grabbing an amazing cocktail and then heading down to the beach for a few hours of relaxing in front of the fire. I will absolutely be back someday for a longer stay.

Beloved and I have been coming to the Stephanie Inn since they opened 30 some years ago. I'm the first to admit that we had not stayed at the Inn for some time, mostly due to the pandemic. Beloved made the reservation and we arrived on Sunday, June 16th. We knew the Inn had been recently remodeled, but we had no idea that this would be our best stay yet. The inn has received a facelift, both in what you see and what you receive. From check in to departure, our stay was amazing. As I have said before, location is everything and the Inn delivers. Get an ocean view room and you literally have the coastline before you. But the view is only part of the joy of staying at the Inn. You receive impeccable service, from check-in, to the appointments in the remodeled rooms, to the breakfast the next morning and if you choose, the dinners. All outstanding. I also have to mention the wine hour in the afternoon and the night caps. A delight in themselves. The Inn is well worth the price you pay, from all I've mentioned before to the additional amenities, including the shuttle service from the inn to downtown and the always available coffee/tea/cookies in the lobby. (Cookies, at 3am? Yes please!) I still highly recommend the Stephanie Inn for those who want the very best stay in Cannon Beach.

Spent a week with this fabulous staff and facility. Wine every afternoon, treats, flavored water and coffee and tea bar available all day. An amazing breakfast every morning is also included. A little quirky to not have a bar but they will get you a drink wherever you are, just have to plan a bit. The fixed menu dinner is absolutely world class. Counting the days till we get back.

Have you ever stayed somewhere where the staff anticipate anything you could possibly want? Thank you Kim, Tammy and David. The service was wonderful and the food delicious. My only regret is only staying one night. I will be back on my next visit to Oregon!

Wonderful News Year dinner at The Stephanie Inn. Four course set menu with wine pairings. Every dish was amazing. Definitely will make reservations for next year!!!!

I stand by everything stated in my previous review but lower the rating because of the inaccuracies in their response. Pay in cash if you don't want part of you credit card number exposed in their insecure email for the final bill.

The dining room positions itself as a creative fine dining venue but it is just ok with decently-prepared straight-forward food with an extremely limited menu. I suspect it gets 4.5 stars because there are few fine dining options in the area.

Goonies never say die! Always wanted to go to Cannon Beach since the '80's Goonies beach scenes. Needed a last minute getaway during the holidays and what do ya know, Stephanie Inn is right on Cannon Beach near the Haystack Rock. Perfect! The Stephanie Inn is located walking distance from the Rock and the downtown area's shops and restaurants. We were blessed with amazing sunshine and arrived a bit early AND our room was ready. Yay! We were led to our room and shown how everything works from the fireplace to the jacuzzi. We were also provided a schedule of events. Breakfast is included, as well as, a happy hour and nightcap. We upgraded to the "romance" package which included a beautiful bouquet of flowers, bubble bath, candle, scrumptious chocolates (those house made salted chocolate caramels are amazing!) and a bottle of chilled wine. Little did I know that at turndown, they would spread rose petals and provide another sweet snack! Their dining room is cozy and intimate. Breakfast was very good with a different egg preparation both days and that peppered bacon was delicious (they have other options for breakfast, as well). You can order a bloody mary or mimosa, but that's an additional charge. We had our NYE's dinner and that was a 5 course prix fixe menu and the chef came out and introduced himself and described each dish in detail. Excellent! In addition, you can order coffee service to the room for no charge. If you'd like a bit of relaxation, they have spa suites and we went ahead and had a couple's massage. Staff arrived at our room with a couple glasses of champagne to lead us to our suite. Nice! They provided plenty of water and excellent tea afterwards. We rented the room an additional hour to utilize the dry sauna after massage. My only critique is that the dry sauna struggled to get above 165. Staff was friendly and helpful from the front desk clerk, to dining room staff to happy hour staff. An amazing weekend and I highly recommend.

TL/DR: We can't wait to return. We opted for a top-floor oceanview room, which included a sitting area, a deck with terrific views and a comfortable bed. What's not to like? The amenities are terrific. The inclusive breakfast buffet is the best I've had, bar none. Bonus points for whatever they're doing to make that bacon perfectly crispy. And we took full advantage of the complementary happy hour. Free scones and cookies in the lobby all day too. There's a full list of other amenities as well. (We'll probably do the beach bonfire next time.) But the clincher is the staff - truly outstanding, and better than we've experienced at pricier places. I'd guess that the rule here is "hire for attitude," because we didn't interact with anyone who wasn't smiling, professional and helpful. One of our favorite hotels on this planet. Looking forward to returning.

Wow. I am still blown away at the quality of hospitality the staff at The Stephanie Inn delivered. I mean, you could genuinely feel that people loved to work here. I want to work here! We checked-in rather late but Dave was so great with us. He was very thorough and friendly! Our room was quite spacious and comfortable. We had an amazing view of the beach and the bunnies! The only thing I would like to mention is that we asked a woman working the concierge desk for a few suggestions on what to see in the area and she just completely froze. She did mention that she wasn't from the area but it was quite awkward. Not sure if she is new, but when we asked her about a certain park she just went silent and then moments later, awkwardly offered us some water. Strange. It was worrisome when she was on duty while we were checking out, but luckily she knew to grab another staff member to assist us. That was the only odd experience we had. A few other memorable staff members were Elizabeth, Matthew, our massage therapists, the dining manager, the breakfast chefs, chef Aaron, and there was another gentleman who also worked in the evenings, a very suave gentleman--he turned down our room and set up our bonfire, very nice and helpful. Dining was spectacular through and through--something about those breakfast potatoes! Dinner was such a great experience. Chef Aaron took us into culinary bliss with his magic. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and we will most definitely return.

Seriously! I can not believe this place has 4 stars? I cannot imagine anyone who has been to a fine dining restaurant would rate this above 1 star. A comical experience... cruise ship style where they serve the dinning all at same time. - 2 seatings all at once 5:30 and 8:00 Let's go course by Course first Starts with a warm gooey glob of blue cheese soaked in balsamic ( inexorable, almost gagged ) Course 2 - a room temp silty salad plated from 1970 - the soup base must have been strong all day, almost an over cooked tomato paste with small over cooked seafood scraps "Course 3 - halibut that must have been cooked for the prior seating, same with the pork, cooked right but served slightly under room temp "Course 4" - a 'cold' apple crisp served in a small ice cream bowl Asked for a drink and was told we have to wait until they finish their round? Bread was similar to a Asiago cheese bagel at room temp - Best part of meal was the wine pairing - all this for roughly $150 pp Such a crazy experience made it 'almost' fun! Too many other good family owned restaurants in this area to waste a night here

This was mine and my husband's first stay at the Stephanie Inn, and we didn't intend on staying here. We've always wanted to, but it's fairly expensive, so we chose it's "sister property", the Surfsand. Weirdly enough, the Surfsand called prior to our stay to see if we'd be willing to switch with another guest who had booked with the Stephanie Inn who could not stay there for whatever reason (kids, I think). They were going to let me carry over my oceanfront view and cost per night, so I would have been stupid to say no, since the Stephanie Inn is much more "upscale". We agreed to the switch. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a woman sitting at a desk nearby. No hotel counter to check in to. You sit down with one person and answer a few questions, sign a piece of paper and off you go with another person who tells you all about the amenities of the hotel while walking you to your room, and making sure that you know all of it's amenities as well. Everyone is very warm and accommodating there. As it turns out, they have complimentary beer and wine (and a few snacks) every day in the library (which is a large, beautiful sitting area with overstuffed chairs, tables, with access to games and puzzles, with views of the ocean), and then a "nightcap" later in the evening for those interested in house-made cordials. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we don't drink, but for those who do, a nice amenity. They also have on-site massage, and beach cruisers are available on-site for anyone who wants to borrow a bike and cruise the town. If you're like us, you might prefer their "town car", a Tesla (Model X, I believe). It's quite the spectacle in town when the driver opens the Falcon Wing doors! Breakfast is so much better than you've had at any hotel prior to this one! It's chef-made and delicious, served in their restaurant. Each day is different, but there are some staples, like house-made scones and muffins, freshly made steel cut oats, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, and an assortment of loose leaf tea. I will say that their menu doesn't specifically address any food allergens or sensitivities, so it could be "risky" for some people, like me. I'm gluten- and egg-free, so I stuck with steel cut oats (not certified GF), fruit (and stole my husband's bacon). :) Our room was so cozy. They had sent up a small basket of snacks with a card attached, wishing us a happy anniversary, which was very thoughtful. We stayed in an "oceanfront mini" room. It had a fireplace, king bed, balcony with two chairs and a small table, corner jetted tub (ohmygod, those jets), microwave, mini fridge, etc. Pretty much everything you could possibly need. On our last night, we ate at the restaurant, which was a little pricey for the serving sizes, although the food was high quality, and in this case, they did cater to my food sensitivities. I stuck with the small plates, but we found the food to be lacking a little bit. My husband's steak wasn't cooked the way he wanted (a little overdone for his taste), and my crab salad lacked flavor. This is the reason for the missing star in my review. The best part was later that night, when they sent someone up to gift me 3 homemade gluten free and vegan cookies just for me. I wish I could add half a star for that, because they were tasty and I've never had a hotel or anyone else do that for me. I felt very, very special. If you like being extra pampered and can afford this place, it is absolutely worth staying at, but I would opt to do dinner downtown. There are lots to choose from...Cannon Beach Cafe is good. Oh, and please try to hit Sleepy Monk or Insomnia for coffee in the morning - yum! We were only there for two nights, but we can't wait to stay with them again! I guess returning guests get a discount....

Better late. As they say. Although our stay was 16 months ago, given that yesterday The Stephanie was named #16 on Trip Advisor's "Most Romantic" places to stay in all of the U.S. and today is Valentine's Day, the review may be overdue but it seems timely to do. I toyed with 4 star rating given my 5 star benchmark for boutique hotels is The Allison Inn in Newburg in Oregon's wine region. Stephanie doesn't reach the level of Allison in swankiness of accommodations or service sophistication and the price of a stay is similar. But The Stephanie Inn is too uniquely splendid a place not to round to 5 stars. The Stephanie Inn staff are so helpful and fully vested in providing hospitality in this place they love that you love them and it too. The building itself almost says "welcome" from the moment you walk in. You leave wanting to come back. Yet this classic and unpretentious "coast cozy meets gracious casual" property isn't for everyone. We met a 40-something couple who flew in from the East coast and she was so unhappy with swank-level not being the Four Seasons she expected per travel guide profiles that they departed early. Different strokes $$$: Staying here is spendy - plan on $500 - $650 / night range for the beach side rooms. What they call 'mountain view' facing across parking lot to coastal range are less. (Highly recommend beach side.) Some months - late Spring into mid October - are higher rates than others. (Tip: September to mid October provide THE most gorgeous weather here.) Some rain heavy months are lower rates but still $400+ for ocean facing. There are three floors. We had a 2nd floor room, ocean side, for the Fall dates we needed and next time we'd shoot for dates with 3rd floor rooms available even at the higher price. ADULTS ONLY / NO PETS: No children under a certain age (12 or 16 - check with them) and no pets. (There are lots of other places on the coast which welcome both including a property right next door.) We met guests, couples as well as people traveling solo, from late 20-somethings through early 80's, and in all walks of life, some of whom had traveled from across the country as well as "almost locals" from Portland. The Inn enjoys a diversity of visitors. But it is not a family with small children destination. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: Right on Cannon Beach with views of Haystack Rock, the location is stunning. Cannon Beach is my favorite of all I've been to and I spent gazillions of hours her from toddler age through my 30's walking and tide pooling. Good memories to have as I no longer walk beaches given MS makes it impossible. But If you're among the 89% of people who walk on sand, you'll find no better place to stay at Cannon Beach than this which is literally just steps down a short staircase to the beach. And if you're among the 11% of people who have mobility limits, you can still delight in the views if you book a beach side room and/or from the inside library. (See photos.) SPECIAL TOUCHES: *Lobby has Smith Tea, good coffee, house baked scones and cookies throughout the day. *Chairs and tables for reading or games or ocean watching in the library. *Fireplace in lobby with comfy seating. *Staff will carry down firewood to the beach and buid a fire for you there at night, also carry down beach chairs to use, and then put out the fire and clean everything up for you when you're finished. *Restaurant provides lovely enhanced service breakfast buffet, included in room rate, each morning. White tablecloths,delicious food; we typically loathe buffets but this was splendid with cooked to order options and gracious adjunct table service. *Informal wine tasting in the library daily at 4:30p and the Chef is there to discuss the restaurant's dinner menu. *Room service available evenings - we had small plates delivered as dinner to watch sunset at night from our deck. *Limited seating guest classes on some afternoons - reserve spot via desk. On one rainy day of our stay we signed up for the cocktail making class. Fun! *Nightcap pours in the library each night - 9p I think - carrying them back to room is OK to do. ROOM AMENITIES: Fireplace in room. Rooms on floors 2 & 3 have decks, lawn and patio at 1st floor rooms. Comfy bed. Awkward 'lounge styled' sofa - a 'minus' for us. Small 'wet bar' sink counter and fridge in room. Robes. ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible (ADA - 2) parking in front with ramp to door. Public spaces accessible. Elevator. 2 ADA rooms on property - both queens - didn't look at them so can't report where they are located. If you don't need accessible loo, king rooms could work otherwise. RESTAURANT NEGATIVE REVIEWS: The few 1 and 2 star reviews seem largely from folks who didn't stay here but used the restaurant. It is spendy. Pretty space but faces parking lot not ocean. And some came in for breakfast to discover it is $40 and guests receive preference for seating. Take those reviews in that context.

Our stay at The Stephanie inn went above and beyond our expectations. As newly weds we were warmly welcomed by all of the staff. In our ocean view suite we were greeted with a basket of goodies and a personalized welcome note. The view overlooking the ocean is incredible and you are in the perfect spot to either walk out to the beach or enjoy the sunset from your patio. The wine and night cap the inn offers in the evening and at night is relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was brought to our room and was some the best you'll find anywhere. Unlimited scones, muffins and coffee, they just couldn't do wrong. Minor issues not really worth mentioning include the not so user friendly tv remote and the toilet handle. We can't wait to return for another relaxing stay.

I contracted COVID 4 days before our reservation. Tried to reschedule. No. Tried for future credit. No. I'm disappointed that they wouldn't work with me at all. Covid doesn't give you a 7 day cancellation window. I don't know if I would recommend a place that is so inflexible with their guests. Policies are guidelines, not laws. Note: even the airlines gave me a change fee free option for future travel. I now have a rather generous amount of money in my future travel wallet. Which, likely, won't be spent coming to the Stephanie Inn.

Amazing!! The staff was amazing, our dinner was amazing, and the complimentary breakfast was amazing. Lol My husband and I had a great time here. We had our elopement ceremony and stayed a few nights to enjoy the pacific northwest. Tammy coordinated our wedding and was very detail oriented and was very helpful and so sweet. Our breakfast every morning was so good. You can tell the quality of the simplest ingredients like butter and fruit preserves were top notch! Our view of our hotel room was over looking the haystack rock. It was gorgeous. They even serve complimentary wine and beer from local vendors at 4:30pm to 5:30pm and a complimentary evening nightcap at the library at 9pm. Definitely will come back and stay here again!!!

It's really nice here.. The rooms are beautiful and you can see the ocean even from the rooms that are on the outside edge of the building. The room we are in has a jacuzzi in the room which is HEAVENLY! Also a fireplace in the room which really put out a lot of heat. The issues we had were: The fireplace squeaks and creaks with the wind The rain hits the top of the fireplace pipe and makes like a "clang clang clang" sound. Luckily we bought some earplugs so at 2am were finally able to sleep. When we arrived the front desk gave us a breakfast card and THE WOMAN wrote our room number on the top, but then a bit later told us she had actually given us the wrong keys (she wrote 220 and gave us keys to 220 at first but then chased us down and gave us new keys for 202), she said "I'm blind..." but yet had glasses on top of her head!!?!? We asked for breakfast to be delivered at 9, but by 10:15 it had not arrived. We called and they informed us "YOU wrote 220 on the card so your breakfast went to 220..." So now it's no doubt cold. As I type we are waiting to see if they just give us cold food or make it over again. Definitely NOT worth $600 per night. Beautiful view but will not return.

Our first time in Oregon and we were blown away by the lovely scenery and luxurious accommodations at the Stephanie Inn! The views of the ocean are incredible and the service is personal at its best! They have managed to create the personal service and attention of a bed and breakfast with the amenities of a large hotel without any sacrifice. It's a perfect blend. We were privileged to stay after their renovations to celebrate thirty years and all I can say is it looks like they should be tops for another thirty at least. We will be coming back!

Fabulous room. Fabulous stay. After being closed for several weeks we couldn't wait to spend some time at the Stephanie Inn! Here's the fabulous view from our super clean, superior oceanfront room.

This is a five star hotel and the service is first rate. The full complementary breakfast is terrific. The lone exception was the very expensive pre fix dinner. The service was five star but unfortunately the food was no better than two star. Very ordinary and not that well prepared. We'll be back to this hotel but not the dinner.

My husband and I came here for our wedding dinner, just him an I on 1/31/2020., we our locals of Cannon Beach. Our reservation was at 6:30 and we came in casual because I was tired of being dressed up. We got our table right away. Our waitress was so kind and very attentive, the service was excellent. We both got the 5 course dinner and wine pairing, wow we're we impressed! The plating was spectacular, the attention to detail was perfection. I am so glad we had our own intimate wedding night dinner here!

Grab a sheet of paper and write out everything that you could possibly want in a coastal B + B and you'll find it all and more at the Stephanie Inn. It was picture perfect, from the views to the restaurant to the caring and helpful staff. Location is about as picturesque as you could ask for. It was seriously hard to drive along these coastal roads and keep your eyes on them. Cannon Beach is gorgeous and the Stephanie Inn is situated smack in the middle of prime real estate. The beach itself is huge. It was named after the cannon that washed ashore from a shipwreck up the coast at the Columbia River. Our top floor suite had a spacious deck that overlooked the shore and Haystack Rock, the largest monolith on the Oregon Coast. I don't think you could dream of a more perfect setting for morning coffee or afternoon beers and wine. We added firewood and smores to our package and made a nice evening of relaxing on the beach watching the sunset. Our suite was very nice as well. It had everything that you would expect. Big bathroom with multiple vanity, separate shower and jacuzzi tub. Plasma TV with DVD and a Bose clock radio. They have a huge list of DVDs that you can watch during your stay. Our suite was lofted since we were on the top floor. It had a lounge area, fireplace, fridge and wetbar. The king bed was comfy and we opened the doors and fell asleep to crashing waves each night. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Enveloped in a quaint and homey feel, I expected to bump into Larry and the Darryls at some point. Newhart, anyone? There was always coffee and tea in the lobby and they even had a cookie jar. They hold a happy hour wine and cheese tasting in their chart room and do night caps there too. We had such a great time just relaxing and chatting with the other guests while we sipped on fantastic wine and looked out of their huge bay windows at the beautiful Oregon Coast. The restaurant at the Inn was top notch as well. Breakfast there was included each morning. It was an impressive spread and they cooked anything to order that you wanted. Dinner was stellar and the best we had in town. Three course prix fixe. The chef came out to introduce himself to the dining room and describe the evening's cuisine. We both had the same things. Curried prawn soup, Beet salad with candied nuts and gorgonzola, Wild Chinook Salmon Filet with fennel dust and a Belgian chocolate cake. Everything was fantastic, and how good is the salmon out here? Wow, I think it was swimming that morning. Find some time to explore the area as well. There are parks and viewpoints all around. We took a hike at Ecola Park along the Lewis and Clark trail. We had a great view of the Tillamook lighthouse and we saw a herd of elk grazing and running across the road. The guest book in the room contained past guests' rave reviews of the Inn. It seemed that most people were celebrating a wedding or anniversary. You couldn't ask for a better setting, the Stephanie Inn was perfect.

We are loving our stay here! Our view of the beach and Haystack rock are wonderful from our balcony. The complimentary happy hours have become our favorite part of our days here. The staff are all amazing and very welcoming. Dave is definitely our new favorite person and we're amazed at how he has time to do everything so well! He started our beach bonfire, has done turndown service, chatted with us during happy hour and drove us in the hotel Tesla for dinner. Exceptional service and views all the way!

The Stephanie Inn is a beautiful hotel that's grandiose in non traditional ways. If you're looking for something unique, romantic and intimate on the Oregon Coast, this is the spot. The rooms are not grossly luxurious, after all, the Oregon Coast is beautiful because of its understated simplicity. At the same time, you won't feel robbed on account of the price tag. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms, but it was still a lovely experience. Having lived and traveled all up and down the West Coast, this is one of the more unique views to be had. Having Haystack Rock in your backyard is hard to beat. Want to know what it's like to live in a postcard? Like most hotels of this caliber, emphasis on good customer service is heavy. You will be treated well here, no questions asked. The amenities are also impressive; you can find a full list on their website. The dining room speaks for itself, give it a go. The perfect getaway for lovers or adult families. Hard to find any faults with this place. An obvious gem.

Awesome!!! We came here for Christmas (12/25-12/28/2019) and stayed in one of the beach front rooms. Our stay was worth every penny!! The SI staff saw to every need. The room was very nice but how glorious to step outside and look upon the glorious Haystack Rock! We had visitors (Cute seagulls and adorable black bunny). Christmas dinner was wonderful! The breakfast buffet ( which husband brought back to room) was yummy on both mornings! Seriously good food! Fresh fruit aplenty! The lobby always had baked goodies (scones, muffins, cookies) in addition to coffee, tea, and fruity infused water!! Definitely a splurge for us but we enjoyed every part of our stay! Thank you Stephanie Inn!

Picked the Stephanie for our Anniversary dinner and oh my, was a great experience!!! Opted for the 5 course meal for $79. Started with a small portion of Halibut appetizer that was perfectly cooked. Next was the Beet salad and again, delicious and a good size portion as well. A little sorbet before the incredible rack of Elk, medium rare and first time I had ever had Elk. Loved it! Very tender. Finished off with a chocolate cheviux that was incredible. Brought in a Purple Hands Pinot opened ahead of time and was perfect with the meal. Sarah our waitress did a super job and made our special evening spectacular!!!

We didn't get a room here but we reserved a table to celebrate our brother birthday. The food was great, not the best that I ever had! The reason this place got the best ratings was because of the service. The lady that took care our tables were beyond wonderful. She cared about every food restrictions that we have and talked to the chef to make the arrangements! The environment was peaceful and relaxing... Definitely will be back when we travel next time!

Worth every penny, even after seeing the bill! We can not say enough about the fantastic staff. Angie greeted us like family and Lupe kept our room so inviting. We were so happy to return each day. Highlights included getting breakfast and bringing it to our room and having dinner delivered. We loved watching Haystack Rock and the sunsets from our room. We will be back soon.

Pretty incredible. Always relaxing, top notch welcoming staff and every attention to detail. Well appointed rooms, and very quiet spaces. The spa is fantastic as well. Food is A+ and in room dining is exceptional. Chef Aaron is creative and offers a nice variety of options. Thanks!

With birthday gift money & some we saved up, my husband & I stayed four nights at the Stephanie Inn (Cannon Beach, Oregon). WOW! We were greeted by a fine young man who handed us blueberry sparkling wine, a lovely treat after getting lost in Portland (flew in from Colorado). He showed us to our rooms, which were sumptous, wonderful. A fireplace, a huge, cozy, soft bed, gigantic bathroom with jacuzzi. We requested a handicap accessible bathroom. So they put a shower chair in the shower, which helps so much. There is a European style shower head extender which I loved. There are bars at the toilet for safety. We requested an extra bathmat, since a fall on wet tiles in our bathroom is how I broke my leg. We got dressed & went up to enjoy a Delicious dinner. I got the wonderful roast pork, my husband got halibut. It is a four course meal & each course is a Joy. The scallop appetizer started our dining experience with savoury delight. The wait staff were super attentive & catered to our every request (no onions for me, a bad allergy). It is a quiet room with classical music playing low. The chef came out & explained what all the dinner included (all local foods). The coffee is Delicious. My husband ordered local scotch & he said it was amazing. I slept better than I have in Years. I guess I don't have a sleep disorder, just a cruddy bed. We are not in an upper income echelon (gift money funded this trip). So we were ga-ga over all the amenities. Our usual vacations (every 5-8 years) have been economical. There was a gift bag with local hazlenuts, chocolates & other treats. Breakfast is served until 10:30, which suits us well as we wanted to sleep in during our vacation. It is a huge lay-out with scrambled eggs (with cheese), bacon, steel cut oats (my choice), all sorts of fresh fruits, baked treats, tasty juices, that wonderful coffee, etc. I read one review complaining about the dining room being above the parking lot. But the shades are drawn so you really are enjoying a quiet, lovely room with amazing food & helpful workers. There are local brown & black bunnies who eat lawn grass & are so friendly, we got a photo of one letting my husband pet it!!! Friendly dogs & their people on the beach, also. We love dogs so this was a plus! The staff will build you a private bonfire on the beach, where you can enjoy boxed meals with s'mores. Unreal! Walks on the beach (virtually empty of tourists in October) were restorative. Such a lovely seaside. The small town of Cannon Beach is really cute, and again few tourists. Local seafood is Amazing!! My husband ventured out while I was resting & he saw a huge herd of elk. We went into the deep, Lord of the Rings elvin-style forest (Ecola Park) and were mesmerized by the mossy trees and rock formations. Again, so restorative. We live in a noisy suburb, so this was healing for us. You can request a Tesla car ride at any time to get to the village of Cannon Beach. Our drivers were very friendly & knowledgeable about the area. We drove 35 miles north one day & 35 miles south the next. Discovered other beachs, viewed wonderful rock formations, enjoyed a Lot of sunshine. The rooms were kept pristine clean during our entire stay. All staff members were friendly & helpful. My husband enjoyed free drinks at the library afternoon & evening events. I enjoyed the snacks & the ocean view. Our only small suggestion: maybe put noise muffling/black out curtains up? Too bright sun coming in through the wooden blind slats. One morning, we were awoken at around 5:00 a.m. (dark) by a truck unloading what sounded like rocks & chains (??) I know the non-handicap rooms on the 2nd & 3rd floors would not hear that but it was loud for us. Otherwise, what a Stupendous vacation we enjoyed!!!

Stayed for a few days. Service was great. Food and views were wonderful as well. Looking forward to returning.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Came here for our Babymoon and we were welcomed with a gift for our soon to be born baby. The room we had was amazing overlooking Cannon Beach with a cozy gas fire. Complimentary breakfast every morning and there are always snack and beverages availble. Would love to come back when I'm not pregnant to participate in the night cap. Staff were always warm and welcoming whenever they saw us. It felt like we were always being gifted in some way. Definitely will be back.

Fantastic dinner last night! Everything was prepared perfectly and we had a wonderful time. We somehow missed the first course, but everything else was great.

The service here is top notch! If you ever need a grown ups-only place to get away at the coast, this is it! The food is amazing. We had a couples massage and paid a little extra to stay in the suite after and use the aromatherapy tub. Every staff person we interracted with was great and we felt truly pampered.

Splurge for our anniversary but wouldn't stay here typically or with our kids. The customer service was amazing, offering drinks and fresh baked cookies on arrival. This was our first time having a guide into our room and then guiding us to show the ins and outs. We stayed in the King suite with a view and jet tube. Loved all of it! We enjoyed everything from the welcome "locals" basket/card, to the dining/breakfast. Delicious food all around. Would highly recommend and will be going back...when I want to spend more money. Ha!

I'm happy to say four years on and Stephanie Inn continues to deliver. Is it the cheapest option? No, and with good reason. You can't beat the location, you get a full, hot and hearty breakfast, coffee/tea/cookies all day long, wine/beer at happy hour in the afternoon, and evening nightcaps, plus complimentary beverages magically appear in your in-room refrigerator. They also offer free classes in the restaurant upstairs. When we were there this visit, we took a cocktails class and learned recipes for 4 different drinks (and we got to drink them all, for FREE). Between the meals, the snacks, the drinks, and the alcohol, it's a pretty good deal. You'll want for nothing when you're here, and if you're super-duper high maintenance and need something extra, they'll take care of you. While my husband and I were hanging in the lobby, one of the guests asked about the Inn's Tesla parked out front - he hadn't ridden in one and wanted to see what it was like. You know what they did? They took him and his wife for a ride in the car! It's a smallish hotel, so it's a very intimate feel. You see the same staff faces each day, all of which are smiling, you run into the same guests and make connections, and just... exhale into relaxation. I compared rates across Airbnb and other rental sites, and for a November trip (their low season) the Stephanie Inn was actually the most cost effective choice, so if you do your research and time it right, you can snag a deal. But even when you can't, it's worth every penny. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Stephanie Inn!!!

Ok. Let's be frank here. Unless you fall comfortably within the average age group of 45-55, just don't bother. Come back when your older...say, for your 60th wedding anniversary. Then you can really appreciate the quiet quarters, slow conversation, and oakey local wines. Lots of free cookies and puzzles galore. It was a fantastic preview to retirement. We will be back in 40 years. 5 stars for being legitimately nice and wicked friendly staff. Also the food is fantastic! If we were in the right age group, this would have been top notch. Okay, now back to our dive bars and tiki huts. Oh, and the beach bon fire is awesome.

From the moment we walked in we were treated so well! Jake helped us with our bags and gave us a detailed tour. The lady who checked us in was super nice and helpful... and the itinerary was a nice touch :) Fresh baked cookies and drinks right away. The room was amazing, including the breathtaking view from the deck. We dined at their amazing restaurant for dinner and treated ourselves to a couples massage (110 minutes!). The massage therapists picked us up from our rooms and escorted us to the spa room with lovely spritzers in hand. They were so great! The complimentary buffet breakfast also amazing! Just walk downstairs and be welcomed by a new spread each day. I could keep typing but I think I've made it clear that this place is wonderful and I will go back :) Did I mention they give you chocolate? Come ON!

The Stephanie Inn is a fabulous place to stay. Ocean front with beautiful, unobstructed views of the ocean and Haystack Rock. The first floor rooms have lovely patios to enjoy coffee in the morning and observe the sunset at night. The chef is fabulous. Baked goods house-made. Happy hour with wine and served in the afternoon and a nightcap at 9 pm. Coffee, cookies and muffins out 24 hours. The small, intimate dining room is lovely.
