"There’s a reason that then-candidate Barack Obama stopped at Stephanie’s during his 2008 presidential campaign — this soul food restaurant is a cultural institution. Nicki Minaj, DMX, and Richard Petty have also stopped by for hallmarks like the fried chicken quarter, catfish filet, grilled pork chops, candied yams, fried okra, and broccoli chicken and cheese casserole. It would be hard to leave hungry." - Eric Ginsburg

My family and I of about 25 people went to eat here for the first time at this restaurant. This past weekend for my aunt's birthday. I will say we were seated within 10 minutes. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. There was plenty of room for the seating. As for our waiter, she was awesome, very patient, and speedy with her service. Please note that any party over 8, I believe it was, they include the gratuity to the bill. Okay, the food it was around $12 to $,15 for a meal, but you had a big quantity of food. Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh. I absolutely love the collar greens, but I had a problem with the macaroni and cheese. I did not like it at all. Please note that the building can use a lot of updating. But it's like your hole in the wall with a hiding jewel restaurant. But as for me and my family, we would definitely be back to visit.

In town for the day and wanted some good soul food. I ordered the Meatloaf and Salmon patty combo with Mac n cheese, Cabbage and Sweet Tea. I received my order really fast. Everything was great except the Mac n cheese.

Maybe it was a bad day at Stephanie's when I visited. The bbq ribs were too peppery spicy to eat, and they were not falling off the bone, as the menu stated. They were courteous to offer me another entree. The meatloaf was red and undercooked on the inside! The mac n cheese was runny and not flavorful, and the cornbread dry. The greens were just okay. My loaded potato, was just an over baked potato with a little shredded cheddar and bacon pieces. It was dry, I had to ask for sour cream. It was disappointing! It appears the best bet was to have ordered the smothered turkey, as others in the party did. Atleast they were able to clean their plates. Stephanie's comes highly rated, but it appears it's food is hit or miss, and not consistent. The waitress was amazing in her attention to us and other guests. She's a gem! I believe her name was Lindsay!

Google
took out their half rib rack and fried chicken combo but sadly there was a mix up and i got a full rack of ribs and no fried chicken! the ribs were pretty tasty though so it’s not the end of the world! the staff were super friendly and sweet and the sides were decent! also the banana pudding was solid!

Google
We liked it. The food was pretty good, though the ribs could have been more tender. Our server, as nice as he may have been, was apparently overwhelmed and under supported for a Friday night. He was doing too much to keep up with the requests of our table. Not a bad spot, just be sure to give a little grace. My last-minute birthday meal was not a disappointment.

Not the best I've had. The greens were good. I had the baked turkey wings - they were huge, not cooked through - I like my baked turkey wings brown, not blonde. Oh, and the green beans were sweet. My cousin had the fried whiting, and she said it was okay. She enjoyed the baked Mac and cheese. The people were pleasant, it was clean and organized. I'm happy to go back and try other items on the menu at this successful black owned restaurant.

My waiter was a sweet woman. The food was alright...maybe I am not a soul food connoisseur but I was not too impressed. I ordered Mac and cheese, collard green and baked turkey wings. The wings were not as warm as they should have been. But I told the waiter and she took it back and returned with new sides and another turkey wing, so that was a generous gesture. The Mac and cheese texture wasn't my preference. The cheese was curdled but not adhered to the actual pasta. The greens were probably the most enjoyable part of my meal. The corn bread was not "corny" - just dry. Unfortunately, I think for 'fresh' warm food, you are best with a fried dish. I sampled their peach and sweet potato cobblers...not really impressed. The cobbler was too 'wet', unfortunately the crust too soggy to balance out the wetness... Worse yet, they do not offer ice cream with their desserts I may return and give them another opportunity.

First time here, not too bad. Will try different foods next time. Beef tips were too tough but fried fish and chicken were good. The baked beans does not have meat in it. Cabbage was excellent.

Yelp
You know you're in the right spot when you find a home cooking local spot that is packed. When we came in there was a line for dine in and a line for carry out. We waited for a table, but not too long. Everyone was friendly and the all the food we got was delicious. We had no room for dessert, but couldn't go without, so we took it to go. The prices are higher than some other home cooking spots, but the quality made up for it.

Yelp
Moms in the hospital, Wesley Long. We needed her to eat. Hospital food can be bland and tasteless. I searched soul food on Yelp. Stephanie's came up in the top of the list. Stephanie's is located on 2507 block of Randleman Rd in Greensboro. Sis and I headed out to pick up some local Grindz. Stephanie's is located less than 4 miles from the hospital. Convenience is important when you want to get back quickly. We pulled up to the red and white building. The parking lot was completely full. Folks were waiting to get a parking space. We entered the restaurant. Man, they were playing old school music from back in the day. Lionel Ritchie, Commodores- just good music. The dining area is huge. You have to wait to be seated. We ordered take out at the counter. She gave us a few minutes to review the menu. I ordered the Vegetable plate. $12.49. Mom wanted fried okra, Fried Squash and Yams. I wanted the Macaroni and Cheese. Baby Sis ordered the Pork Chip plate..$13.99. Drinks are separate $3.25. My sweet tea had an after taste. I switched it out for the Grape Kool-aide. It was a head banger 100% Delicious The menu consists of Comfort Food choices... Meatloaf, Beef Tips, Veggie Plate, Meatball Dinner. They create a variety of sandwiches. They have a smorgasbord of world famous sides. $4.60 each. They even have a kids menu to choose from. Let's talk Food!!! Stephanie's food is right in line with The Shed, Kareem & Woo's and Sweetie Pie's. Macaroni and Cheese was moist and flavorful. The Yams were like my grandma made them. I didn't taste the Fried Okra/Squah. Momma ate half of each one. I was throughly pleased to see her eat. I didn't eat the cornbread, Baby Sis devoured it with no issues. The pork chop was perfectly crispy on the outside- Juicy and tender on the inside. All the sides were a WIN. While waiting for the order, I was able to look at pictures on the wall of famous people who have dined at Stephanie's. It's a real local spot for anyone to come and enjoy a good meal. They offer catering as well as online ordering. If you're in the Greensboro area, stop by and check out this simple, yet fully satisfying small business eatery!

Yelp
Loved all of the sides which included the green beans, mac and cheese, fried squash, mash potatoes and gravy, yams, coleslaw, and fried apples. I got one Veggie Plate then the Hamburger Steak (1 piece) and a side coleslaw. Both of these meals came with hush puppies too. The hush puppies were okay and may have been better if I didnt go through door dash and got them served fresh. One sad thing is I did not realize the Hamburger Steak (1 piece) would not come with gravy and onions it if you do not request it. Wasn't too pleased with the meat itself but maybe because I didn't have the gravy and onions. Overall great place and sad I don't live closer!

Iris C.

Yelp
Omg'! I love Stephanie's food. My favorite go to is a vegetable plate. I usually get green beans, squash, fried okra, and cornbread. When I do meat from there I get the fried chicken livers with the gravy on the side or their lemon pepper chicken wings. Customer service is always on point andI love the vibe when we eat in. Everyone seems really happy while eating. You should try them.

Yelp
Food is always great, but the service was slower than preferred. We arrived on a non-busy weekday and weren't officially greeted or acknowledged upon arrival. After we were seated it took a while for us to have a server, receive our drinks, and food. However, the waitress was great and continuously checked in on us making sure we were enjoying ourselves and the food.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
This restaurant is always packed because of the great food. We did have a wait a little while before being seated. They opened another section. The service was good. The waiter was very pleasant and ready to take orders. The service was good. Drinks and food came out quickly. This places serves true southern cooking at its finest. Just be sure to go hungry!!

Yelp
Stephanie's puts the soul in soul food! Ya'll know what it is ... another 4.5 review. Now I've eaten here many a time over my 26 years since returning to Gboro. I will say hands down the best friend chicken and chicken wings you'll find in the Gate City. My daughter wanted to come here for her bday weekend. Why? For the mac n cheese. Oh, don't trip because her mama makes a mean one! Not only is my child a picky eater but a Mac n cheese snob. So trust if she gives her blessing then it's fiyah! She got fried chicken wings with double mac and corn bread. The wings arrived fresh out the grease. They do no disappoint. She says the corn bread was crumbly meaning fall apart and hard to pick up. Her mama is old school. I have taken a fork to many a cornbread square. Bae got fried fish. Was it flounder? I don't remember. By the time I thought to get a piece it was gone gone. I did taste his potato salad, very good. Just a touch too sweet for me BUT I didn't grow up with tater salad on the sweet side. Me? I decided to be cute and get the rib combo. Usually I get the wings combo. My child got that. Fried pork chop is my back up. Noooooo! I had to be different. I knew it would be too much food. I thought Bae and my daughter would help me eat the ribs. Nope! Now. About the ribs. Okay. I love some ribs. I hate cooking them but a good rack of ribs is a beautiful thing! These ribs have the look. The sauce was saucing with a little heat. Ribs tender but not quite falling off the bone. Time out. This is not a bad thing. Some schools of barbecuing thought believe true fall off the bone cooking is over cooked meat. You can pull easily out the bones of these ribs. As I said earlier, we had a lot of food on the table. The ribs came home. Ya'll, I reheated the ribs in the oven. Took a bite. Not a fan. In the restaurant, I had one rib it was good. Keep in mind I was eating fried chicken, fried squash, collards and Mac n cheese at the same time. One their own? Meh. Tender, saucy but no flavor. The meat itself was not seasoned. Sorry not sorry. Not brined. Not salted. Bot marinated. Not caramelized (browning for my country folks). Maybe I got a bad batch? I'll stick with chicken or friend pork chop in the future. I don't know the cooking method used. My tastebuds detected some parboiling. When done we'll it's not a bad cooking method and saves time getting food cooked. I just wish these rbis had been grilled or broiled before the sauce was added. If the meat doesn't taste good on it's own, now sauce will save it. On this particular visit it was crowded but not overly crowded. Our waitress was attentive enough. Our extra sides were forgotten so we had to wait. We had plenty of napkins. Just average service. Nothing above and beyond. I thought the music was a bit loud but we could talk over it without screaming. The booths are showing their age but not to the point of scratching your legs or snagging your clothes when you sit down. Pro tip: Yearning for soul food but don't want to dine in? No worries! You can call ahead for pick up.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This is a staple in Greensboro. They have some of the best soul food. The candied yams are everything!! The mac and cheese is baked just right. The cabbage was okay - I've had better. The cornbread melts in your mouth. This is the first time I got the wings and they were fried hard. The service was okay; I think she may have been overwhelmed as she didn't check on us as much as other servers in the past. It's always busy, but the wait for our food wasn't bad. Decor wise it's not the most modern place, but the seating is abundant and clean. And who wouldn't like a place called Stephanie's?!! :-)

Laila L.

Yelp
Decided to grab some togo on easter since they weren't as busy as i thought they would be ordered over the phone and sent my boyfriend to pick up our food when he returned and i open my togo box i discovered what was supposed to be a side of baked mac and cheese was just a side of baked noodles w some sprinkled cheese on top , it's so disappointing cause i come here almost every sunday and i would've never expected this from them, being that it was a Sunday when i ordered the food they were closed the next 2 days , so i honestly forgot about it and just let it go but very disappointed in my favorite soul food spot in GSO and probably won't be returning

Tinnette S.

Yelp
Anytime you want some good soul food, please go to Stephanie's. They are always consistent! The food is always flavorful and delicious!! My husband and I both got the fried chicken white. He ordered Mac-n-cheese, collard greens, and a roll, and I got yams, collards, and cornbread! So good!

Dale M.

Yelp
Awesome and great food with and even better atmosphere! The service was prompt and the host was pleasant.

Monte M.

Yelp
Sooooooo.....it hurts my heart to write a bad review but the Stephanie's I remembered from the past was not the Stephanie's I just encountered. I ordered take out and all the staff were very pleasant (major kudos) and I received my food relatively quick. The food was the issue. I ordered the meatloaf, mac and cheese and green beans. The meatloaf was decent (the sauce was a bit too sweet but manageable) the sides however, (yikes!). The Mac and cheese was flavorless and the green beans were packed with sugar!! Hopefully this was just an off day but I had heard rumbling that the food wasn't what it once was and I definitely encountered that today. I will continue to support but it will be awhile before I return.

Tam W.

Yelp
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! THE FOOD HERE IS TOP TEIR ELITE SOUL FOOD! THIS IS FAMILY REUNION kind of SOUL FOOD!! So so soooo good! Listen it was so good when I left I looked back in the kitchen I just wanted to lay my eyes on who cooked the food lol!! Seriously I wanted to just smile at her or him! I had the fried chicken and fried whiting! With Mac and cheese fried okra collards (they had a hint of sweetness FYI) and yams with the grape koolaid that waitress recommended adding lemonade to and it was magnificent!! I will add to make this a whole review that the inside of the restaurant is not anything elaborate it is a simple restaurant that serves amazing food!

Jana J.

Yelp
I always love to come to Stephanie's when I am visiting North Carolina. The BBQ chicken is probably the best I have ever had. The yams are also delicious and memorable. Always fun to look at the wall and see the celebrities that have visited the restaurant.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Good food. Very good selection of soul food. Service is real. What I mean by that is, you may get some attitude but even if and when you do it's probably because the server is having a moment or something. I caught a server with attitude but after I made her smile I think the whole room got brighter. Make somebody smile today!

George D.

Yelp
Loved it Good food good staff It's all you want in a soul food spot The picture do it no justice

Jordan B.

Yelp
Went here on the Sunday morning after homecoming and received a blessing! This food blessed be just like it did over 10 years ago when I was in undergrad. I got wings, mac and cheese, & yams. I promise it's somebody grandma in that kitchen and she should be protected at all costs. Baby.. those YAMS.. I needed some water bc they was sweet but it woke me right on up ! I also got fried catfish to go and let me say I was one happy traveler sitting in the airport eating my catfish! I can't wait to be back next time in Greensboro

Da'Vette J.

Yelp
HANDS DOWN the best southern food meal I've had. The candied yams are PERFECTION, the banana pudding is to die for, and the catfish was seasoned beautifully! Every time I'm in Greensboro I will have a meal here; maybe two!

Saundra D.

Yelp
Good soul food spot with all the regular suspects. We had the chicken wings (yes, I took my gluten ), the baked turkey wings (I would have preferred crispier skin fir it was very tender and flavorful) with no gravy, Mac & cheese, yams (super good), potato salad (yes please, but I did have to add pepper), and collards (tender and flavorful). Attentive and polite service. The desserts...I didn't care for the fried cheesecake but really enjoyed the banana pudding. I appreciate that it wasn't too sweet.

Antoine M.

Yelp
I thought I'd give them another chance today, so a friend I went definitely wasn't impressed waited 15 minutes for the worst server ever, to get cold porkchops and noodles with melted cheese on them. There's definitely NO soul in the food

Cynthia H.

Yelp
This place is not top notch when it comes to dining in. The restroom is very nasty and out dated. The food service is good, but the waiters are not all good. We need for our soul food restaurants to come up and give us a nice environment as well as good food.

Najhia M.

Yelp
The food is not very tasteful. The Arnold Palmer is great! But my meal was not flavorful, and believe it or not all my sides were sweet. Soul food is supposed to savory , not filled with sugar. The cabbage was extremely sweet. Overall just not satisfied! My server Amaya was very sweet though, thank you for being so nice and patient!

Antoine C.

Yelp
The food was not bad but not great. The service was absolutely horrid and unsatisfactory. The person described herself as the manager was horrible with customer service. The young black waitress was nice at first but she lied. I was told that the owner was nice. She really needs to hire better employees. The employees and waitress don't care how customer service . I would not and will not ever recommend this establishment to anyone looking for Soul Food just because of the people and service. This happened today 12/14/2023.

Shaquel W.

Yelp
My food tasted amazing. I got the four piece wing combo with two sides-broccoli, chicken casserole and yams. Everything tasted so fresh and yummy. Excellent flavor and seasoning. I also got banana pudding which is also really good! I will be back! I hadn't been since my college years so it was great to go back to Stephanie's and have such a good experience. Also the cashier sensed my confusion regarding the menu and offered feedback regarding what I could order which was extremely helpful. Customer service was on point!

Annchalee R.

Yelp
We ordered for pick up. My favorite was fried flounder fish and fried chicken liver. I definitely will order it again!

Tarheel F.

Yelp
Not sure why this place would have any other ratings but good gosh ole mighty!! Was it good! The pork chops would melt in my mouth, and the max and cheese do not get me started on the amazing goodness this was. It was a party in my mouth. The server was amazing and recommendations were great. My wife's beef tips were very delicious

Juliette S.

Yelp
This place is packed. A sign of good food (I hope). Just ordered fried chicken, turnip greens, fried squash, and potato salad. Friend ordered meatloaf, collards, canned yams, and potato salad. Taking back to hotel for tonight fried livers with gravy and onions, rice, and a green. Friend getting a BBQ sandwich. I'm hungry so I hope it's good. Not that great. SLOW service. Food bland. Can't get carryout. Potato salad watery, no seasoning in the greens, fried chicken... just chicken.. Fried squash too thin. Taste more batter than squash. Disappointed that I can't get carryout plus poor business practice. Would not recommend. Will not be coming back.

Floyd S.

Yelp
Great place to Diner in the Greensboro area. They offer a very Broad selection of soul cuisine,Desserts and Drinks including Old school Coolaid...

Annye M.

Yelp
Went the Stehanie's before a concert and it was worth it. The fried chicken was fried to perfection, the yams and collards were great. I had a slice of red velvet cake and it wasn't that great maybe a 6/10. But overall the food was good and the service was fast and gives you an old diner feel with the decor.

Dr. Paul H.

Yelp
The service at this restaurant was horrible. The staff is not helpful to new patrons at all. The manager (didn't get her name) an elderly white lady was terrible she snatched food from me after I asked to cancel my order because I had been waiting over 30 minutes and she would not allow me to eat in because I didn't order my food as "eat in." When we arrived we asked if were to order and then find a table and we're told that was the process but it isn't. You have to wait at an unmanned podium until some has pity on you and comes over and seats you. Service was terrible the elderly lady was so nasty and she scratched me when she snatched the deserts they had given me 30 minutes earlier. Bathrooms were also a nasty - pee all over the floor and sticky. Beware customer service is lacking.

Jo S.

Yelp
Wait times are ridiculous. They take forever to give you your order. The girls working up front are super rude. I come all the way from cali to eat here and very disappointed every time they're rude. Not coming back.

Latasha M.

Yelp
Delicious food but horrible service and consideration. We drove over an hour and arrived at 755. The dining room closes at 8, but they did not seat us. I don't know any other establishment that would not have seated two customers who came to them from over an hour away. If they had any competition, they would be shut down.

Anne Marie S.

Yelp
This was meh! The seating area reminds me of a cafeteria like space. Food is all served in a separate bowls. Could use an updated and fresh look to the place. Our waitress was really nice. I had fried catfish and wings and he had the meatloaf. He didn't really like the meatloaf said it was bland. The catfish was actually pretty good and cooked well. If you're looking for someplace quick this is a good spot but if you're looking for some really good southern food there's other options out there.

Mikaila G.

Yelp
I was feigning for some BBQ chicken and I haven't been to Stephanie's in almost 4 years so I thought why not ? When doing reviews I always like to do compliments before complaints... the bbq chicken was AMAZING! It was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy! The chicken it self was juicy and the sauce had me scraping the take out plate lol ! The yams reminded me of my great grandma's so needless to say they were perfect . I'm not a huge fan of sweet cornbread but theirs is a perfect balance- it wasn't too sweet and it still had a savory flavor to it. Now for the complaints... the mac. I wasn't a huge fan . It wasn't terrible and if it was served at a family gathering I would eat it but I probably wouldn't go back for seconds. Overall the food was delicious and the customer service was great as well .

Jillian S.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner on our way home. Our meal was good, but several items were missing, the online ordering form is misleading and not accurate, and our order was not ready on time (25 min late). Ordered: -salmon patties with coleslaw, collards, and hushpuppies for $9.99 (delicious, flavorful, and filling) -fried chicken sandwich for $9.99 with yams (none of the included toppings were included, sandwich was bare) -black eyed peas for $2.75 (did not receive this item since they actually do not have it. Luckily I checked the order before leaving so that I could inform them. They swapped it out for more yams) -caramel pecan brownie for $4.95 (decadent and filling) -chocolate cake for $4.95 Pro: -they offer numerous items (all southern comfort foods) -affordable -portions are large -entrees and sides are delicious and filling -employees are friendly and efficient -all employees were wearing masks related to COVID-19. One was wearing her mask under her nose -areas to order/pay and pick-up meals were separated for social distancing. They are not open for dine-in Cons: -online menu is misleading. Some of the items offered they don't have. -online ordering was not working when I tried to order. I tried twice and ended up having to call in the order -online website says they have a drive thru and a separate drive thru menu. When I called to place the order the person taking the call said they are a restaurant and did not have a drive thru -takes a while to reach them over the phone -inaccurate orders (see above) -food was not ready on time. Ordered at 5:35 pm. It rang for about 5 minutes. Conversation was about 2 minutes long. We were informed that our order would be ready in 25 minutes. It was not ready when we arrived so they gave us a buzzer. I waited in the car and then went through the exit door (as instructed) to pick up the meal when the buzzer went off. Our order was ready about 50 minutes after we ordered. We stopped here while driving through the area. We are unlikely to return since we typically are not in this area.

Yelp
This spot is a little off putting at first glance. Inside looks rather dated but that food, I think the reincarnation of my grandmother may be in that kitchen. I started with a half and half (tea and lemonade mix) and you can taste the fresh brew of the tea leaves. I ordered catfish with fried squash and Mac and cheese. My husband got a Carolina burger with coleslaw and chili on the burger. Delicious! My daughter only eats my mom's fried pork chops but she ate this one and sucked the bone. The greens were a little too sweet for me, I don't do sugar in my greens. And the popcorn chicken was delicious. All the girls got sweet potatoes and loves them. Don't skip dessert. The sweet potato cobbler was delicious. Our server was friendly enough, she never gave us her name but she was readily available for us.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Our experience at Stephanie's is the poster child for how poor service can ruin your entire meal. The food was decent: I had the fried chicken, ribs, mac & cheese, collards, and cornbread. Nothing was spectacular, but I have no complaints on the food front. Now let's talk experience. There was about a 30-min wait when we arrived; no big deal. Once seated, we were rushed from start to not-yet-finished. Our server had a but of an attitude, which we were willing to chalk it up to her having a long day and being tired because that's what she told us. She hovered over us and wanted us to give our drink, appetizer, dinner, and dessert orders as soon as we sat down. Our food arrived and was immediately accompanied by the check. Then our server disappeared. Well she didn't disappear exactly; we could see her behind the counter, making herself busy, ignoring our attempts to get her attention when we needed things. Our dessert came packed and wrapped up in to-go containers that we didn't ask for; we were clearly dining in. It wasn't until we were completely fed up and frustrated by our experience and questioned a staff member, that we were informed that the dining room was closed. We had technically been seated after closing time, but nobody informed us. Instead, we received terrible, rushed service with no explanation. Inexcusable; we won't be back.

Rinnita T.

Yelp
I was recommended to this place for soul food. It was mentioned the Obamas had eaten here. The food was just okay and the wait for it to come out was very long. Maybe an hour. The server was nice and tried to be accommodating. The fried catfish and yams were good. If you like really sweet yams. I wasn't fond of the cabbage so asked for macaroni and cheese instead which turned out to be okay. The Women's bathroom was very poorly maintained and cleaned. I would probably visit again if back in the area to try something else on the menu.

Antoine C.

Yelp
Date of service 12/14/2023 This restaurant was recommended by a friend to try for myself of Soul Food. I was told that the owner was very nice. My experience is that the person that described herself as a manager was horrid of customer service. The waitress was young and nice at first, but did not tell the truth. I would not and will not recommend this establishment to anyone that I know just because of the horrible service. I don't hold the owner responsible for their horrible service but she needs to be aware of how they treat her customers. Very disappointed with the service and unsatisfactory actions of her employees. Never again

Antwain B.

Yelp
Food was good, fresh and was brought to the table very quick. Will definitely stop at this establishment again when I'm in the Greensboro area

Kiana Y.

Yelp
If you're looking for good southern food, look no further! The service here was great, my server was very attentive. She even gave a sample of the potato salad before we ordered to see if we'd want it (never heard of this, but was a huge plus in my book!). The ambiance is the typical soul food restaurant layout with booths and tables. For a Sunday, we got there at 6:30p and they close at 8p. It was also Memorial Day weekend, but we were served very quickly! The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The grilled salmon entree is a 10/10! It is in a somewhat hidden location, if you don't know what you're looking for. But, you have to try this place.

Yelp
Mac & cheese, collards & kool aid was good. Customer service is bad. If something is wrong with your order they will not fix it in my experience here. There was an issue with the entree as it didn't seem cooked enough. They wouldn't replace it or cook it more.

Yelp
I was told that if I'm ever in Greensboro to stop in and try Stephanie's, the chicken will have you waving your hands, so I was driving to Greenville NC from South Carolina and decided to take a detour to Greensboro and I'm going to say that they did not disappoint. The chicken wings were great. The Mac and cheese was ok. It was the type where it looks like the cheese is added to the top but not incorporated into the noodles with milk/cream. I tried the fish sandwich, okra, cabbage and corn bread. I will definitely go again.

Yelp
Great food every time that I gave visit the restaurant. Every item on the order is so delicious. By eating here, you are faced with what do you really want to eat that day.

Yelp
So I like to give small business a chance. Ordered online. Got a text saying my order was ready. I went to go pick it up and my order was nowhere to be found. Then the counter person had a an attitude because he had to work. 1st and last time there even though the food was good, I won't be going back

Yelp
Fries were greasy and tasted really off. The wait was long. the vegetables are fresh on the burger were fresh. The lemonade tasted like tapwater mixed with country time lemonade. My lady and I ordered 2 pieces of cake from the other Stephanie's as well for carryout. When I went to pick the cake up the floors were dirty with grime and kitchen area was not clean. Our 2 pieces of cake tasted off. The Kelime pie crust was very bad. The keylime part of it had a gritty texture. The strawberry cake icing tasted a foul sour off. My lady and I stomach felt sick after eating this food. This place needs an inspection and should not be serving food to the public

Yelp
Green we're bland and mushy. Sent the chicken wings back bc they were lukewarm and the kitchen said that how they come and they weren't remaking anything thing. Sad that this experience was expected.

Yelp
Fast friendly service! Delicious fried Chicken Wings. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Just the right amount of seasoning. Crinkle french fries were perfectly crispy. Fried flounder was also very good.

Yelp
First time visiting on June 2nd, 2023. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was outstanding as well. The recommendation to visit Stephanie's was on point! When we visit Greensboro again this will be our first food stop.
