Yelp
Gorgeous interior and music, our server was super knowledgeable. Concept is so unique, tried a lot of dips/spreads I have never tasted before. Would come back for a night out!

Yelp
We decided to book Stereo41 for our 3 year wedding anniversary on Dec 30th Tuesday. When we got there, no one was at the front desk to greet us. Waited about 5 minutes till we finally got seated. It was another 10mins that went by and still no server greeting. I had to stop the manager to take our order. Food was decent but definitely over priced. No acknowledgment of our anniversary as I wrote the special occasion on open table. They were short on staff which I understand but unfortunately our first time was not impressive enough to return.

Yelp
Came here with a group and ordered a little bit of everything, which is honestly the way to do it. We had a mix of skewers, tostadas, and a few shareable plates, and every dish that hit the table was gone before we could even take pics. The skewers so good and the sauces were super flavorful, the tostadas OMG THE TOSTADAS!!!!! ----- we're freaking AMAZING! We also decided to try some desserts and it was 100% worth it, tbh might go back just for dessert... Add in the amazing cocktails (OMG DUBAI ALEXANDER) good pacing, and the beautiful design and girlie highlights, and it just made for a really fun night out. Stereo41 has an amazing ambiance and brings that cosmopolitan energy which Walnut Creek really needed. Definitely a place you come for the experience, not just the food. We are definitely coming back!!!

Yelp
what a new gem in WC! came here on a Friday night for dinner and the place was definitely buzzing. the inside is a very electric, sexy, upbeat atmosphere. on the weekend they have a dj playing which makes the vibe feel very young and fun. the bar also has full service. our waitresses were kind and attentive. food was soooo good! everything ordered was truly a hit. i recommend the hamachi sashimi and the tenderloin kebab. drinks were made well too! the owners are also excellent and really value service and quality of food equally. will always bring my money here!

Yelp
We went to Stereo 41 in Walnut Creek to celebrate my birthday and had a great experience overall. We had reservations, and everything from the atmosphere to the food was good. The space is modern, stylish, and beautifully decorated definitely a great spot for a special occasion or night out. I'd recommend a reservation as they were pretty busy on a Thursday night. The hamachi tostada and the A4 tenderloin Wagyu were absolute standouts and easily our favorite dishes of the night both were incredible and packed with flavor. They were out of lamb that night so they were able to give us beef Karaz instead of the lamb. The cocktails were also very good and well-crafted. We got the gimme gimme gimlet and the basil one which I can't remember the name. Service was excellent throughout the evening attentive, friendly, and professional. The only small downside was that no one asked if we were celebrating anything, which would have been a nice touch since we were there for my birthday dinner. That said, it didn't take away from an otherwise wonderful experience.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for dinner. Reservation is definitely recommended as we saw folks having to leave due to not having a reservation esp on a weekend evening. We sat by the chefs counter, where we got to watch the action in the kitchen. The place was lively and they had a dj playing music. Vibe was definitely really fun! For food, we got the hamachi tostada, trout and lamb kushiyaki (skewers), braised beef dish, and ended our meal with a baklava. Food is middle eastern with Japanese influence which is really unique. Our favorite was the hamachi tostadas!

Yelp
A beautiful new restaurant with incredibly flavorful and delicious Middle Eastern food and a live DJ. Visited here for a double date in late December and all four of us enjoyed the meal and vibes. The Hamachi Tostada deserves 5 stars on its own. If you come here, you MUST order it. The fresh fish comes with chili crunch, avocado, and umami mayo on a crispy tostada, and it is bursting with flavor. It's been 3 weeks and I'm still daydreaming about it! For my entree, I got the Braised Lamb Neck, which is another 5-star dish. As an individual serving, the tender, flavorful lamb was cooked to perfection with zataar, herb, and pomegranate and served on turmeric rice. The portion was large, possibly sharable for two if you have a couple of starters/appetizers. I took home leftovers. My fiancé got the Slow Cooked Beef, which was also very tasty with tender meat and a generous portion. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the Nori Falafel, which felt a bit flavorless in comparison to our other food. I was happy to see they have a selection of tasty zero-proof cocktails! I enjoyed my Palomita. Stereo41 is great for celebrating special occassions or for a fancy date night, as it is pricey to eat here for dinner. On my budget I probably can't afford to go often, but when I do come back it will be a special treat!

Yelp
From start to finish, the staff was truly exceptional, welcoming, professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure our experience was seamless. We had a party of eight and coordinated ahead of time, and the team could not have been more accommodating. Everything was handled with ease, grace, and a level of organization that made the entire evening feel effortless. We ordered everything family-style, and every single dish was a hit. The food was delicious, beautifully prepared, and perfect for sharing. so much so that everyone at the table was raving about it throughout the night. The drinks were just as impressive, well-crafted, balanced, and thoughtfully executed. What really stood out was the staff Manifair and Yooha's ability to manage a larger group without ever making us feel rushed or overlooked. They anticipated our needs, kept everything flowing smoothly, and maintained a warm, upbeat energy the entire time. You can tell this is a team that truly takes pride in what they do. If you're planning a group dinner or special gathering, Stereo 41 is an absolute standout. Fantastic food, great drinks, and a staff that goes above and beyond, this place made our night memorable in the best way. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Stereo41 just opened in Walnut Creek and has really cute vibes with a live DJ. The menu is small and a bit pricey, but the food was solid. We ordered the hamachi tostada, falafel, bread and dip, and the mushroom kebab. Service was a little slow but fine overall. It wasn't busy on a Sunday evening and we were seated right away. A fun spot for drinks and small plates.

Yelp
We decided to try the new upscale spot, Stereo41, in downtown Walnut Creek for lunch this Sunday and overall, we were impressed by the food and ambiance! The cuisine is interesting fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese. The restaurant has a beautiful, upscale ambiance, and we were seated immediately, which was a huge plus for a Sunday lunch. The Food (A definite 5/5!) The kitchen here is truly doing amazing work. * Appetizer: Stereo Mezze Platter - Fantastic! This came with two baskets of pita and three main dips, plus a great combination of pickled and fresh veggies/olives. We were all hungry, and this dish delivered. Highly recommend starting here! * Mains: We ordered the Lamb Kofta Bowl and the Slow Cooked Beef. Both were served over amazing rice with Japanese cucumber and fresh leaves. * The Lamb Kofta was incredibly tasty and sumptuous. * The Slow Cooked Beef was very tender and flavorful. Areas for Improvement (Service & Menu) While the food was perfect, I do feel they could elevate the customer experience with a few tweaks: 1. Customer Service: The staff was unfortunately not very friendly. A slightly warmer welcome and friendlier service would significantly improve the overall dining experience. 2. Menu Variety: We would definitely recommend this place for adults. However, they might need to add a few more dishes to their menu to better cater to families with kiddos. The Verdict: If Stereo41 can get a tad bit friendlier and add a couple of family-friendly options, this place is absolutely a five-star gem. Go for the delicious Mediterranean food and beautiful setting!

Yelp
Ok, I now understand the hype about this spot! After a grueling work week, I was in the mood to try something new and fun. Stereo41 is the new hot spot in Walnut Creek, with a cool and unique concept. The cuisine is Middle-Eastern with Japanese influence - what a cool combo, and one that executes very well. The flavor combinations jump at you, and will revive even the most jaded palates. We ordered the hamachi tostada ($23), and the other reviewers raving about it weren't lying. Fresh hamachi, with avocado and chili, in a umami mayo sauce. Oh wow. Beautiful flavors, just the right amount of spice, and they didn't skimp on the fish. Nice crunchy texture as well. Do try this. We also went with a dozen oysters ($2/oyster on the happy hour menu, 6 piece per customer limit). The habanero/shallot mignonette is nice. We also had the trout sashimi ($16). I enjoyed the citrusy shiso sauce. Beverage-wise: The Sassanid Smash cocktail is tasty. Interesting tamarind flavor you don't find in too many cocktails. Also tried the Stereo Martini; beautiful presentation but a bit too sweet for my taste. Attractive interior, with lots of pops of color. Evidently the cool artwork was done by one of the owners himself! One thing I would change is the seating area in the dining room. Instead of tables and chairs, I would suggest more of a lounge layout, with low tables, rugs, stools, pouffy cushions to sit on, etc. and some colorful curtains to cover the large windows and create a dimmer, more intimate environment. Stereo41's other claim to fame is the sound system, which they evidently invested a lot into designing. I'm sure audiophiles will appreciate this aspect of the experience, but it's a bit lost on me, tbh. Maybe it's the music genre. Let's put on some Purple Disco Machine (perfectly fitting for the ambiance!) and I'll be sold. Strong start for this new Walnut Creek spot. I'm confident they will do well. Reservations are recommended.

Yelp
Walnut Creek... you are not ready for this one! Stereo 41 just opened and I'm already planning my next five visits. Add this to my rotation immediately, the restaurants in WC hate to see me coming! We were invited to the soft opening and from the moment I walked in, the vibe was vibing. Velvet walls, graffiti-style art, moody lighting, it's giving hip, modern, and effortlessly cool without trying too hard. And then the DJ starts playing the perfect soundtrack... like okayyy, ambiance, I see you. 10/10 on the energy. Drinks: Amazing. Like the type of drinks that make you forget you swore you were "only having one tonight." Balanced, flavorful, dangerously smooth. Starters: Hamachi tostada, Listen LINDA. LISTEN. This hamachi melted in my mouth so beautifully I almost shed a tear. Buttery, bright, perfect. Halloumi cheese, Delicious. I'm a grilled halloumi girl and they delivered. Potatoes, Crispy, flavorful, addictive. I would like a bucket for takeout, thanks. Mains: Short Rib, I don't eat meat (pescatarian life), but everyone else at the table went SILENT when this came out. Fall-apart tender on top of Middle Eastern bread that soaks up all the juices... it smelled incredible even from my pescatarian bubble. Whole Chicken, looked Perfectly seasoned, juicy, crispy and honestly looked like something you'd see on a cooking show finale. Every main comes with a full platter of sides: Middle Eastern bread, hummus, spreads, olives, dips, and OMG the mashed chickpea soufflé dish?? What was that? Why was it so good? Why am I still thinking about it? I'd eat a whole bowl as a standalone entrée. Dessert: The matcha tres leches deserves its own paragraph, its own award, maybe its own zip code. I didn't want to share. I'm STILL not over it. This is the dessert that ruins other desserts for you. Service: The owners were incredibly friendly, like genuinely proud of their menu, excited to share the story, and took time to visit every table. They explained each dish, checked in constantly, and made the whole experience feel special. You can tell they care. Stereo 41 is officially in my Walnut Creek rotation! Amazing food with a middle eastern and Japanese fusion, gorgeous space, the perfect DJ set, and a menu that hits every category from comfort to creativity. If you see me camped out at the bar with another matcha tres leches... mind ya business! Or order one and join me. ‍

Yelp
I guess this is the new and hot spot in Walnut Creek since I keep seeing ppl post about it on my IG feed. My girls and I decided to go here for a Friendsgiving dinner on a Monday night. I thought it may be a lil slower (which it was according to the staff) but I thought it was a good amount of guest for a Monday night. It was 5 of us and our waitress recommended us to get 2 apps, 1 lammet sofra, and 1 kushiyaki to share. Which I really appreciated because I didn't feel like she was trying to ring our bill up. We ordered the marinated mussels, the hamachi tostada, the mezze platter, togarashi chicken, and the slow cooked barramundi. I recently gave up liquor so I ordered a sour candy mocktail ... OMG- so good!! It was refreshing and had the right balance of sweetness and sourness. I My girl ordered the Dubai Alexander and she said it's one of the best cocktail she's ever had (I was so tempted to try for real) So the minus star is due to our mezze platter that never came out. The mussels and tostada came out quick, but our main took a while to come out. So we were waiting for a while in between the app and main. I am sure because it's a new restaurant so they are still ironing out the kinks. I wish I could give half stars, so I can give them a 4.5, is because everything we ordered was DELISH. I highly recommend the tosatada, so much flavor and so fresh. I also recommended the chicken. It is a great portion to share and it was also very tender and juicy. It was quite pricey but worth it because the chicken was huge (like it was on steroids) and it came with sides. As for the music, I thought it was going to be loud but it wasn't at all, we didn't have to yell across the table lol. And they were playing some really good music. I forgot what kind exactly but I knew it was a vibey music. I will most definitely come back, again and again.

Yelp
Is this the new hot spot in Walnut Creek? I felt honored to have the opportunity to join a friend to check out the super cool digs. Daytime lunch party? I think so. I really love that you can find spots in the East Bay that have an emphasis on fun and multi-functional for guests that may not be able to make it out on the late night (newer mamas, I see you!) And if you take anything from this review..the hamachi tostada is worth driving for. Chef's kiss. No notes. Served with chili oil/crunch, avo, umami mayo, and a simply beautiful presentation, this dish can't be missed. I'm still thinking about how each bite was packed with so much flavor and crunch. A few other things to note..the ambiance and stellar vibe. I adore the vibrant colors and pop of pinks throughout the restaurant interior/exterior. I can't wait to already come back for an evening event (cue the babysitter!). The interior is spacious, and the outdoor space is just waiting for fun. The bar is beautiful and the cocktails look divine. I went with a zero proof Sour Candy mocktail for this go-around, and that was the perfect sip decision. As for mains, our party did lunch bowls ~ lamb and beef. So tender, innovative, and love the blend of Middle Eastern and Japanese influences..what a delight. On the way out I had to stop for a round of applause for the pink DJ booth and of course, the disco balls. Such a treat. Tickled pink to return soon to enjoy more menu memories. Bravo! Located in downtown Walnut Creek, metered parking can be found and also there is a parking garage a few blocks over that has fair pricing :)

Yelp
Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 - excellent Value 2.5/5 The takeaway I'll remember from Stereo41 is the vibes and ambiance from the intimate and romantic decor and DJ/sounds making it a solid date spot or loungey meal. We ordered the individual portions of the braised lamb neck, slow cooked beef, lamb merguez, stereo mezze platter, and almond cake desert. The food is solid and very tasty to make it a well rounded experience, however it doesn't hit the "blow you away" mark. The miso hummus, fromage blanc spread in the platter have great flavor and are memorable. The overall taste to me, is higher standard. Service was standard, no reason to take away any stars, but could've been slightly more attentive on beverage refills. Nice staff and personality though. Where it gets its point reduction to me is the value. I understand it's in downtown Walnut Creek with an elevated upscale vibe driving the cost, but for $70-90 per person, I wanted a more memorable bite to my meal. For those, where budget isn't a factor, you'll have a great experience here. For those looking for the best food to pair the price tag, I think those will be slightly disappointed. For myself, this was a business meal with no cost to me so I was satisfied with my dining experience.

Yelp
I'm genuinely excited that we finally have more fun dining options in the area, and Stereo41 is easily the most elevated food and overall dining experience around. We went for dinner on a special Arabic music night, and the energy in the room was great the entire time. The music was fun, and people were dancing throughout the night, which made the atmosphere feel lively while still comfortable for dining. We ordered a few dishes to share. The beet salad was fresh and well balanced, the lamb was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the whipped feta was a great way to start. Everything came out at a good pace. For drinks, the basil pop was refreshing and not too sweet, and the espresso martini was smooth and well made. Service was attentive and relaxed, and everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. Overall, it was a really enjoyable night with great food, good drinks, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

Yelp
If your looking for great food great music and amazing service. This is your place. Everyone's so friendly and accommodating. I'm sober and it's sometimes such a bummer asking for something non alcoholic but they had several Options that were amazing. The oysters are out of this world!
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
Came here for the soft opening on Saturday the 8th. We ordered a few drinks and there were passed hors d'oeuvres. The oysters with ceviche were delicious! It's hopping here! The DJ is playing great music, it's a fun space with beautiful art on the walls. The walls by the bathroom are covered by small mirror tiles - simply gorgeous. Can't wait to go bank!

Yelp
If you're wondering if the food is good, it's good. Like "gah damn, that's tasty!" kind of good This is a splurge meal, you're definitely coming here for a celebration or special occasion. The whole ambiance is a vibe. The music sets the majestic tone but it's not overly loud. Got the whole Thai snapper and that was huge. Definitely one of the best fish I've ever had. It is a bit pricey, I do wanna go back but prolly gotta wait till payday to try the other items
google avatar

Claudia M.

Yelp
Started with the pita and tuum which was simple but really good. Warm pita, tons of flavor. We also grabbed a couple cocktails and they were solid, easy to drink and well balanced. The slow cooked barramundi was cooked really nicely, but the braised lamb neck was the favorite at the table. Super tender, rich, and comforting without being too heavy. Ended with the layered baklava dessert and it was a great way to wrap things up. Not overly sweet and just done well. Service was friendly and relaxed, and the space felt nice without being over the top. Good spot for a chill date night or a nicer dinner in Walnut Creek

Yelp
Loved this place! Great for special occasions - really enjoyed the mix of cuisines and entire vibe. We tried the vegetable tostada, hamachi sashimi, lamb kofta, mushroom, nori falafel, and sweet potato tempura - simply mindblown. The flavors of each dish were so unique and we loved pairing them with the different dips and sauces. Surprisingly the hit of the night (among others) was the vegetable tempura - it was light, delicate and so refreshing! The veggies are cut extremely thin and everything is so well balanced. Can't wait to come here again.

Yelp
Came for lunch with the girlfriends ! The vibe was chic- cute spot. Love the play on colors and textures in seating area. Love that brute have blankets if you get chilly or sit outside. I agree with prior reviews that the tostada is really flavorful! Like it the best ! Tried the beet carpaccio and it was tasteful. We shared 3 rice bowls of chicken, lamb, and the slow cooked beef- that was my favorite . Make sure you get the mezze platter. The drinks were made well but took a bit long to make and serve- the server just needed some help bc she was the only one working the lunch rush. Will definitely come and check out the evening/ weekend vibe and we were told that they're starting brunch next week!
google avatar

Yelp
Booked for my wife's birthday. Great service and appetizer selection. we felt the main course was very pricey, specially $140 for a whole chicken that comes on a flat bread and 3 small sides. The lobster Risotto was very fishy and most of us just took a byte and stopped. Good music, at the end they forgot to bring my wife's birthday cake.

Yelp
Okay, Walnut Creek, you have to check out Stereo 41! It's a super fun new spot with Middle Eastern flavors and a Japanese twist! Think bold spices, fresh ingredients, and a perfect balance of comfort and creativity. The vibes are modern, lively but cozy, the cocktails are gorgeous, and it's definitely the new go-to for date nights or catching up with friends. I enjoy that they have a DJ playing which for sure adds more to your dining experience. I also heard Stereo 41 sometimes turns into a nightclub but I could be wrong lol They do have a disco ball and a space that is perfect for a dance floor once tables are moved. So if you're looking for a spot with great music, great flavors and overall a great vibe spot- for sure check out Stereo 41!

Yelp
I ate there once i expected better for their steep prices! The food was decent but not great! I did like the tempura sweet potatoes fries appetizer with hirassa dressing. When I ate there I got a lot more then when I came a month later & ordered tempura sweet potatoes to go with tax came to over $20 & all i got was 7, you read it right 7 measly pieces, WTH!!! The rent is so high you need to skimp & price gauge on your customers, what a shame!!! Also I fealt the staff did not live up to the high end /posh restaurant they are trying to portray, just being honest!

Yelp
Stereo41 has officially become one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. The fusion of Egyptian and Japanese flavors is honestly incredible and so unique and delicious. It's such a rare combination, but they do it so well that every dish feels both familiar and completely new. You can taste the authenticity of both cuisines, and the creativity behind each plate really stands out. It's the kind of food that makes you pause because the flavors are just that memorable. I also love the family-style concept. It makes the whole experience feel warm and communal. I've gone for date night, with my family, and with friends, and it's been amazing every single time. It's one of those places that works perfectly for any kind of outing. The zero-proof drinks deserve their own shout-out. They're delicious, thoughtful, and honestly some of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've ever tried. I've tasted them all and still can't choose a favorite tbh! The vibe at Stereo41 is also such a big part of why I love it. It's a literal vibe on its own with the art and music and decor without being overwhelming. The love DJ adds such a fun atmosphere, and the disco ball gives the whole place this playful, stylish feel that makes the night even better. If you're looking for incredible food, unique flavors, and a great atmosphere, you have to try Stereo41. I'm already excited to go back. There isn't a place in the bay like this!

Yelp
Loved discovering this new spot, which had fantastic hamachi and trout sashimi. The oysters were great too, very fresh with interesting sauces. Big space with nice ambiance. Great addition to the Lamorinda restaurant scene!

Yelp
Okay... Stereo41 might have just moved to the top of my list. I finally got a chance to check out this new spot out and now I get what the hype is all about. Middle Eastern and Japanese flavors, a DJ booth, and vibes that hit the second you walk in. The music, the food--everything was so good. We stopped by for weekend brunch and here's what we ordered: Basil Pop Electric Bloody Mary Hamachi Tostado -- easily the standout, don't miss this one 1/2 dozen raw oysters (loved all three sauces) Beet Carpaccio with pomegranate molasses, goat cheese, and pecan Two eggs any style with potatoes, roasted tomatoes, and sourdough pita Barramundi lunch bowl with turmeric rice and chickpeas Baklava French Toast -- so soft and pillowy, almost soufflé-like in the center

Yelp
We dropped into opening night of Stereo41. A couple logistical notes, they require a $50 reservation hold and do not currently have outside seating (but will in a month). While they were friendly, our service had some lows. About 20% of our Dubai cocktail was spilled on the table on delivery and not well wiped up (or offered to be re-made), when our dishes came the dips weren't described to us (as the other table received), and while picking up our plates there was another spill which splashed across the table and almost hit me. Not what you want to see at $100 a person. Food wise we again had some lows but definitely far more highs. The skewers didn't really work as the trout felt like an odd fish choice and the kofta was over seasoned, however the honey flat out adored the tostada and the beef main dish was divine. Absolute perfection. The beef was cooked perfectly and went so well with the three sides (pistachio rice, chickpea, and veggies) that it absolutely made up for the hiccups above. I also do have to note that their sound system is perfection. They put a lot of work into acoustics and it absolutely shows. All in all, I think the menu could use some re-tooling and the service issues will likely iron out with time, but for an opening night the food was amazing and I'd recommend stopping in to try them out.
google avatar

Yelp
Stereo 41 was nice overall it wasn't a personal favorite for me, but the bar and inside are really beautiful. The space is very stylish and gives an upscale, trendy vibe, definitely a good spot for a night out. Drinks were solid and the atmosphere was lively. I'd recommend it more for the ambience and vibes than anything else. If you're looking for a cute bar to hang out, it's worth checking out at least once.

Yelp
Food is a mixture of Arab and Japanese and you can taste the high quality proteins and high quality ingredients. A lot of thought went into the food and one could tell. If you think of each bite you'll notice the mixture of the two cultures. The ambiance is really nice and the paintings on the wall are also a mix of Arab and Japanese. It's got a up scale vibe that is really really really fun for a night out. Oh and I spotted celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez there dining with what looked like close family and friends, wow!
google avatar

Yelp
I visited Stereo 41 for the first time last night and absolutely loved it. The ambiance has this modern disco club feel with great lighting, fun energy and an overall stylish atmosphere. They even have live entertainment. The DJ was playing really good music all night which made the whole experience even better. The menu is a unique blend of Middle Eastern and Japanese flavors and every dish we tried was amazing. You can tell a lot of thought goes into the food because the flavors were so bold and delicious. The service was perfect. Everyone was attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The drinks were also creative and really tasty. It is so great to have a restaurant like this in Walnut Creek. It brings something new and exciting to the local dining scene! I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We tried the Lunch specials: Stereo Mezze Platter love the miso hummus and the fresh vegetables, the Beet Carpaccio was from another world , my favorite, the Hamachi Tostada with the best salsa matcha I've ever tasted ,, Barramundi so soft and crunchy , and the Chicken that was just amazingly delicious, so juicy and perfect with the cous cous and veggies. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRzjnullHrL/?igsh=b2JhdGprengxNGZs

Yelp
Food and ambiance were good. It took awhile for us to order our entrees after appetizers due to the server being very busy. We ate pretty quickly. We then had a bday dessert. The rest of us wanted to order desserts and drinks so we did. While waiting the owner came over to tell us it was time for us to go. We hadnt gotten drinks or dessert. The waitress comes with out dessert to go. What the heck? We were eating as fast as you were servimg. So so ridiculous for an expensive meal. I certainly wont recommend this due to this extremely rude behavior. We actually all laughed because it was so ridiculous.

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday with my gf and some friends they had 50 percent off all tequila drinks as part of their tequila Tuesday event called "Agave Moon" that they do every Tuesday for 2026 The food was great and the tequila cocktails were just as good, they had a live DJ playing Latin & house music throughout the night. Service was great 10/10 would recommend on coming on a Tuesday night!

Yelp
We had a great time, we went of a Tuesday and the music and food was on point, the ambiance was unmatched. And the service was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I'm always looking to try out new places in the East Bay and was excited to stop by Stereo41 on a Wednesday night. The Middle Eastern/Japanese concept seemed really interesting and I wondered how the combination would play out. Overall while I think there's some room for improvement, there's definitely a lot of potential here! The space itself is lovely - beautifully designed with music playing at the perfect volume. Service was good but at times a bit slow. We chalked this up to the restaurant's fairly fresh opening and figure things will run more smoothly as time goes on. When it comes to food, my partner and I both agreed that there was a bit of a gap - the items we ordered that leaned more Japanese left us the tiniest bit disappointed, while there seemed to be a much stronger command of the Middle Eastern dishes. Nothing was bad by any means, but we definitely left feeling like if we were to come back, we'd stick to the Middle Eastern bites. Some quick notes on our order: FOOD * Trout Sashimi: Good but was missing...something. The fish didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked, but the accompanying sauce was great. Feel like this has potential. * Mushroom Kushiyaki: Kind of similar to the Trout, the sauce was good but I felt like the overall depth of flavor wasn't quite there. * Kofta Kushiyaki: First standout dish we had! There are only two pieces, but they were both so flavorful, juicy, and well executed. They paired great with the Sweet Potato Tempura. * Sweet Potato Tempura: Another standout! This dish is fairly simple, but it's done SO well. The crunch on these sweet potatoes is fantastic and the drizzles of honey are perfect - just enough to accent but not make things overly sweet. Was a great contrast to the savoriness of the Kofta. Comes with a side of harissa but I honestly loved the potatoes as they were. * Slow-Cooked Barramundi: Was a little surprised by the portion-size. It felt fairly small for an entree and the presentation could use a little work. Luckily the flavor of the fish and squash were pretty fantastic - the fish had a nice crust without being overcooked and the squash brought a nice brightness to each bite. The curry portion (served in a separate container that's meant to be poured over) felt a little forgettable. The flavors didn't do much for the rest of the dish, as if it was optional. * Stewed Chickpeas: Such a lovely side-dish! Incredibly rich flavors. Not sure if it's included as a part of one of the dishes on the menu that we didn't get, but feel like it's worth getting individually. DRINKS * Sea Witch: I love most mezcal drinks so I was fairly content with this, but I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't really pick up on the coconut fat-wash, dashi, or yuzu. Mezcal can be a bit overpowering, so I mostly just got some citrus and mezcal flavor-wise. * Black Honey: This drink surprisingly tasted more watered-down when it was first served, and got better as time went on. The burnt honey and black sesame similarly take a bit of a back seat and are hard to pick up on distinctly, but as the bourbon flavor took more form it was a fairly enjoyable drink. * Dubai Alexander: By far the standout item of the night - I'd consider stopping by again just to have this drink! The cocoa/pistachio/cream combo is so fantastic and makes for a dessert cocktail dream - I had to force myself to not down the whole thing. The bits of flakey salt and what I assumed were crushed pistachio bits really added a nice contrast to the drink's sweetness. It took a while for us to get this drink (there was only 1 bartender working that night) but our waiter told us it'd be worth the wait, and it really was. A quick note that as this does lean more sweet and creamy, I think it'd go best towards the end of your dinner. Just a personal preference though! All things considered we enjoyed our night! While we might not be itching to go back right away, I can see us visiting again some time in the future. With some tinkering I think this menu (both food and drinks) could turn into something really special.

Yelp
I'm still trying to put my finger on why Stereo41 felt so disorienting. The best way I can describe it is that it felt like a ChatGPT-generated restaurant brought to life. Visually polished, technically competent, but lacking soul. The positives first: - Beautiful space. I was immediately drawn in by the modern wooden door and high ceilings. The interior is spacious and well-suited for large groups. - Solid food execution. The lamb kabob was tender, and the trout sashimi tasted fresh. - Warm service. Staff was friendly and attentive. ---------- The less good: - Lack of focus. Stereo41 touts itself as "Japanese-Mediterranean fusion," but the menu feels scattered, jumping from sashimi starters to kabobs and mezze platters with no attempt to bridge the gap. The only dish that leaned "fusion" was the barramundi with Japanese curry and squash, but both the flavor and presentation lacked "wow" factor. The mushroom skewers (button mushrooms and scallions brushed with soy and sugar) were particularly underwhelming and felt like something I could easily make at home. The hummus tasted like 90% tahini with the dreams of a chickpea in the midst. - Cocktails that overpromise. The basil-lemongrass drink unfortunately tasted more like Theraflu than a balanced cocktail. - An identity crisis. The art was neither Japanese nor Mediterranean, a glittery disco ball hung from the ceiling, and there was a DJ spinning sets throughout the night. Is this a restaurant? A lounge? A club? Ultimately, the experience felt jarring -- not because anything was outright bad, but because the food, art, music, ambiance, and concept never quite came together. It reminded me of Ciaorigato in SF (another Japanese-fusion spot, this time with Italian cuisine), which raises the same question: are we going to da club or a restaurant? Is it inventive, or an attempt to be so inclusive that it loses its soul in the process? I left feeling fed, but confused.

Yelp
Vibes? Check. Food? Check. Ambiance? Double check! My experience at Stereo 41 was nothing short of amazing. I came here for a girls night out and had an absolute blast. I ordered the vegetable tostada, beet carpaccio, the lamb merguez, and matcha milk cake. Every dish was packed with unique, delicious flavors. I also tried the Dubai Alexander and the Cowboy Izakaya cocktails, and wow... so good. 1000/10 recommend, this spot is a must and Walnut Creek needed a restaurant like this.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem ! Walnut Creek definitely needed something like this! I tried the Hamachi tostada, the fish with curry sauce, and the matcha cake, and everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can really tell how much thought went into the menu and the creativity behind each dish. The music, vibe, and overall energy make the experience even better. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back and try more of their menu Highly recommend!

Yelp
We have walked by seeing it get built since the beginning and tonight we are finally inside. Nice spot. It's amazing what you can do with an old PG&E building. I think back then if there was a bar on the premise more people would come in to pay their bill. I know I would and I don't even live here. We were the first to sit at the bar today but soon the bar was packed out. People stared coming in and filling tables. It does get full as the night goes on. For drinks my partner had the Sassanid Smash and a Stereo Martini. As a 1 trick pony I stayed with tried and true tequila and lime. For food we had the  Hamachi tostada, a dozen oysters and trout sashimi. All excellent. The Hamachi tostada was incredible. Two corn tortillas, umami mayo, chile and avocado. I think there was some kind of special secret sauce also cause I could eat that all day an night. Massive amount of Hamachi also. Nice artwork all around by one of the owners. Multiple turn tables in a permanent DJ set up playing vinyl. Sound was not overpowering so you could still have a conversation. There's an outside patio with heat lamps but tonight at 44 degrees, I don't think so. All was great but the clientle at the bar was a mix of very self important individuals ranging from espousing the ingredients for the very first martini to people talking about exotic recipes they were cooking and a few fine people making sure everyone overheard their nonsense. I initially was going with a 5 but after thinking about it going with a 4. Here's what needs to be fixed. 1. The menu is great, just not enough of a menu. We didn't try any of the bowls but nothing really here for a solid dinner. 2. Yelp description is Middle Eastern, lounges, Japanese. Great but no lounges. Pre opening buzz sounded like an awesome night life experience and I think even bringing a little bit of Vegas to the DubC, instead we have a very nice bar and seating at your mama's diner. Some booths along the wall. So I think keep some tables but transform the the area just past the check-in area with some low continuous couches and low cocktail tables. And dim the lights. This would be perfect with the DJ booth right there. I will go back for the Hamachi Tostada.

Yelp
This is a tough review to write. Positives- love the decor, vibe, and music! Other raves! The food! Tonight the hamachi tostadas and the veggie tostadas were packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. Also quite filling. Happy to see the lamb is now is a single portion! Food came out fast! ... which I can't say about the drinks. The drinks take FOREVER... like 45 min forever! And they are poured from a mix. I know the haveLimits on bar space which makes it harder to turn drinks but if you're pouring from a pre-mix it shouldn't be this slow. Also I prefer my bartenders to actually make my drink how I like (less sweet more etc) especially if I'm paying $20 per cocktail. Servers are very nice and trying but clearly overwhelmed. We had several dishes brought to use that weren't ours. This place has potential if they can work out the service and especially the bar kinks! No one wants to finish their meal and have the bill and still be waiting on a cocktail!

Yelp
Very disappointed. Tiny portions for outrageous prices--the "sharing" chicken for 3-4 people costs $150. Yes, a chicken dish for $150!!!! Cocktails were overpriced and served in tiny glasses. Staff was unfriendly. My boyfriend was offered a single large ice cube with his whiskey on the rocks; they brought regular cubes but still charged us $1 extra for the "big cube." Yes, $1 for a "special" ice cube that we never got. Won't return and don't recommend.

Yelp
Creative cuisine with flavor-flavor-flavor! Chef Jonathan De La Torre wowed us with his talents last night. Our table enjoyed firsts of Hamachi tostada, Vegetable tostada, Marinated mussels and Couscous and Falafels. The HT and Mussels were my favorites! For mains, we had the Slow cooked Barramundi, Orzotto (with cauliflower) melted in my mouth and friends enjoyed the Lamb Merguez entree. Our host Berk (artist and DJ) made us feel welcomed in his newest and gorgeous restaurant. Oh, almost forgot..the libations were creative and poured in beautifully artistic glasses. Love it and we will be back! Cheers

Yelp
Place was not busy and it took 15 minutes to order drinks. Ordered appetizers and drinks next. Drinks took 20 minutes and were beat by appetizers to the table and only half the drink order came. Waiter constantly tried to take our drinks before we finished drinking them lol and was successful at swooping one eventually. Risotto was overcooked like I've never seen before. Tough to get a drink, even harder to keep it.

Yelp
Stereo41 is the best restaurant in Walnut Creek. The food is so flavorful and the vibe is incredible. The owner was DJ'ing the first half the night until there headliner DJ showed up. It felt like we were back in time, super retro and fun! The service was amazing. 10/10, I can't wait to go back! We had shared Hibach Sashimi, the Stereo Mezze Platter, Sweet Potato Tempura, Lamb Kofta, and the Togarashi Chicken with all the sides.
