My wife is from GA and had never had fresh crab before. She had some crab legs in FL on vacation a few years ago, but being from the DC area, I needed her to experience what it’s like to have crab right out of the bay. We planned a trip to DMV for her birthday, and this is one of the places that popped up on our radar. We got a half dozen large crabs and a crab cake meal with potato salad, deviled eggs, and hush puppies. I think we spent around $85 after tip, but we ended up with way more food than we really needed (our fault). She really wanted to eat on the water, and while there’s no waterside seating here, there’s a public beach with some benches around 7 minutes away. The lady working the counter was kind enough to show my wife how to open and clean the crabs, and even lent us a few hammers on the condition that we brought them back. The food was incredible. No flash. No tricks. Just super solid, perfectly executed chesapeake staples. Thanks for helping make her birthday trip special - We will be back!
