The Ultimate Guide to Hot Dogs and Sausages in Denver | Eater Denver

"Every dog seemingly has its day at this colorful Colfax, where the options range from classic Chicago-style and Jersey dogs (a hot dog topped with bacon, spicy mustard, red onion, relish and sauerkraut) to the modern creation that is the Mex-Si: a bacon-wrapped and deep-fried dog topped with lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, sour cream, cheese, and salsa. There’s even a Denver dog, which features bacon, chili con carne, and jalepenos and is served on a tortilla. Bonus: When you’re traveling through DIA, check out the Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs outpost at Concourse B near Gate 24." - Paul Albani-Burgio

Ive gotta say... with a 4.1☆ rating we really expected something decent. These gotta be the most pale, unflavorful dogs ive ever had in my life. Positioned between a cold dry bun topped with nuclear green relish, this dawg is gonna leave you regretting eating here. IF YOU decide to roll the dice on thud place. Maybe try the all beef dog in hopes its not as bad 🤷🏼‍♂️ Staff was nice and quick to attend to us do theres not "beef" with her.

We were greeted by Alex and he was phenomenal!!! We ordered Smashburger with bacon and it absolutely blew us away!!! We never expected this from a hot dog airport restaurant & bar. It was a pleasant surprise and helped us destress. Thank you Alex!!!

Very good for airport hot dogs and burgers. Prices are high, but normal for an airport restaurant. The chili dogs and smash burgers are very good and they have gluten free and vegan options.

Food comes super quick, like 5 minutes. Absolutely 5 stars on an airport scale. This was only $9 bucks and it may not have been exactly a Chicago dog but it did the thing well!! Great price and it was good. I’m happy!

Friendliest Most outgoing service I've ever experienced in an airport eatery. The service Rivals anywhere I've been in all actually. Super fair pricing on food. Great beer selection. Love the atmosphere. if you like Chicago dogs, theirs is pretty decent. I'll be back to try some other dogs and the chance I get

Steve’s is a wonderful place to get a very tasty beer and specialty hot dog if you have an hour or more delay on your UA origination or connection flights out of DEN airport (which unfortunately is too often the case these days). Located in DEN Terminal B near gate B21, Steve’s offers some fast, tasty and relatively inexpensive airport refreshments and nourishment with very friendly service. The specialty is a selection of 6 famous styles of hotdogs. Although there are also burgers, sandwiches and an assortment of salads to satiate your appetite. There is also a selection of several craft beers on tap along with your standard US beers available in cans. The bar has four large screen tv’s mounted on its walls with a selection of various spots that are being aired. There are several counter seats and a good number of table seats available. Your key challenge at Steve’s is to eat one of their dogs without making a mess of yourself. They are amply loaded with whatever toppings that you ordered. If you try to consume by holding them in your hand and biting, you can expect to get a good coating of the toppings on your hand and lips. After three unsuccessful attempts by hand and a very messy cleanup napkin, I surrendered to using a knife and fork to finish my dog.

This is in my opinion one of the rare places in an airport that one can get decent food and drinks at a reasonable price. The service was good too.

I am doing this review as I sit here. To start. Service is quick. I sat down and was immediately greeted and offered a drink. It’s an expensive pint, that being said I would have preferred a little more care in pouring my beer. There was way too much head foam. Food came pretty quickly with a packed house. I ordered the Denver dog. Kinda disappointing. It’s a hotdog wrapped in a tortilla and the tortilla is cold which I don’t know anyone that likes a cold tortilla for anything. Overall I say… Meh.
