What a total blast from the past!
This is a diner-type setup in an unassuming strip mall, and it's really good at it.
The first thing you see is the pretty sweet patio setup - quite a bit of seating, and groovy orange chairs. The front of the building has those retro twinkle shapes across the top along with their signage, which sets the throwback scene.
Inside, the first thing you notice is the amazing smell of all things breakfast. Then you see all the amazing decor items throughout the space. Anything 70s you can think of (except maybe John Travolta in white pants, THANK THETAN): giant wooden fork & spoon are a given, plus a lava lamp, one of those weird owls that were everywhere back then, dishes, toys (many of which my siblings & I had back in the day) - even a sweet bike with a long seat & tallass handlebars. Even a wall hanging featuring those weird kids with tall heads, giant eyes and shag haircuts sharing a milkshake - that is the 70s-est thing ever to have 70s-ed.
Service is quick, friendly, and helpful. Food is DELICIOUS. Between us all, we had breakfast burritos; stuffed french toast; a giant omelette; a griddle combo of pancakes, eggs (chose over medium), and ham (other choices were sausage or bacon); and home fries. Everything was delicious, the pancakes were huge and insanely fluffy, the burritos were stuffed to the max, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the cream cheese filling for the french toast basically qualified it as brunch cheesecake - even the salsa for the burritos was roasty and extra-good.
We all left full & happy! I'm glad to have been, and would love to go back!
