I love 🧡💜 Stew Leonard's....it is almost worth moving to Long Island for! At Easter, their seasonal flower/plant selection was absolutely phenomenal. There store is always clean and clutter free. The fresh produce varieties and selection is outstanding. The bakery, meats, seafood... everything is top notch. I love shopping there when I am in the area.

Stew Leonard's in East Meadow offers a truly unique and engaging grocery shopping experience! It's often described as the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores" due to its lively atmosphere, complete with animatronic characters and a generally fun, family-friendly vibe. They carry quality fresh produce, hand-cut meats, and seafood. Their bakery items, like apple cider donuts, rainbow cookies, croissants, and various size muffins are a huge hit. Don't forget to try their famous soft-serve ice cream! The pineapple will not disappoint! 🍍 The store's linear layout is distinctive, guiding you through various departments, making it an adventure in itself. It's a fantastic spot for specialty and prepared items too!

I've seen this place for years & never knew it was a interactive supermarket that kids would enjoy walking around. This was a nice experience but the prices are a bit insane on produce & groceries. The groceries in my cart costed me roughly about $70 bucks. My daughter loved the options of cake they had so ill definitely have to visit again.

Amazing experience in the store. The lobster roll is awesome everything is fresh made and everyone is so helpful. It's like a farmers market under the roof. Pleasantly surprised. Also the liquor store next to the store has a wide selection of unique stuff. Pure joy. Also nice ice cream in the store.

Although I love the store's concept, I must admit that my most recent visit to the East Meadow location was not pleasant. I encountered several seemingly disgruntled employees. The sample lady that serves up fresh mozzarella never smiles and gives people blank stares. Never says a word to you even when you say thank you. The kid that works behind the ice cream counter gave me my soft serve without uttering a single syllable. I left the store with my purchases feeling like I was a bother to them.

This was our first visit, and we were somewhat impressed but it was not all it was made out to be. There was a large selection to choose from but a lot of store specific products so the variety was a bit limited. I asked one worker on the floor a question and she seemed bothered. She was busy but I felt she was overly annoyed. The other employees were met were nice and the cashier at checkout was really nice. It is entertaining if you have children with mechanical shows and other distractions. We will 100% go back, but it wouldn't be a first choice for day to day shopping. This would be more of a special shopping location for us.

I’ve been coming in here for many years now. One bit of advice I can give? You’re out of your mind if you come in here on a Sunday. I went here today on a Sunday. The cold cut counter? For the years I’ve been coming in here? Nine out of 10 times without fail? I get the same guy at the cold cut counter. Today was no different. When I’m getting called next and I realize it’s this guy? I wanted to tell someone to go ahead of me. Against better judgment? I did not . Ask for a pound of salami? Three times I tell him 1 pound? Of course he handed me a half a pound. I don’t know how this guy has 10 fingers still. Every time he slices cold cuts? He is looking everywhere but the slicer? It’s almost like he must be in the witness protection program? And he scans the entire area around him, nonstop. Then? The girl who checked me out? First of all? Took all the groceries and put them so far out of my reach, that I ripped the crap out of my back trying to get them so I could bag them. Which is mind-boggling. I’m doing her job for her. Do you think she would at least make an attempt to pay attention to what she’s doing. I look up? And she’s taking cake, pops, and cold cuts, putting them in a bag and then putting raw pork chops dripping on top of them. When I said something to her? She looked completely annoyed. So I told her? Just put everything down and I’ll bag it myself. She was a young girl. I don’t want to be unkind? But maybe start out with a paper route or something first. If you don’t want to be there? If your mom forced you to get a job? Or you’re just there, for the little bit of money and you don’t really wanna do anything for it? Maybe you could stock the shelves instead of deal with the public.
