Service was friendly and fast and the food items I tried were all tasty. I don’t think that their sticky buns hold up to their claims of being the best in the world, I thought they were just fine. The chai latte was creamy and had a good spice blend without having too much anise flavor in it. I think the food was reasonably priced for the area and portion sizes. The bakery itself is not accessible for patrons with mobility issues as the only entrance has a heavy manual door and steps up into it, but to be fair it seems like every shop on that street is built the same way.

Always a great experience! I’m not sure what’s better the super friendly atmosphere or the delicious bread and pastries… but it would be very hard to beat the cinnamon roll!

There is not a lot of seating outside but for a 8:30 coffee on a Saturday morning I was able to find a table. Inside has some seating as well. The drip coffee here is really good. The past few coffee shops I’ve been had terrible drip - such a relief to have a great cup here. I also got the blueberry muffin and here is where I have my personal preference come in - I like them when they have that sugary top which theirs does not have. If you don’t like that then this is the muffin for you because it still tasted delicious.

A quaint bakery and coffee shop with a great platform to support the community. We had a cinnamon bun and a bacon and cheddar scone with 2 specialty coffees. Everything was well prepared, service was pleasant and quick. We sat and enjoyed the atmosphere. We'll be back!

Delicious fresh baking goods in a very quaint place with friendly customers service The speciality drinks and alternative milks options are great. I love when the season change and you can experience the creativity by the new creations. Always a treat, always great, always a delight.

My family and I visited on a Saturday morning. Street parking is available and there is a public lot a couple blocks away. Their windows are decorated for Christmas and they have a tree up inside. The interior is very warm and inviting. As expected they were pretty busy. We waited in line only about 5 minutes. They have good coffee. Hot, not bitter. 4 overall star and 3 stars on food is because there was not a gluten free option or vegetarian option. For a bakery they should at least have a couple gluten free options. My sons (with no gluten issue) really enjoyed their danishes.

This is the coziest little bakery & coffee shop in the area! Their pastries and desserts are delicious and their house coffee never disappoints. There have been some recent interior/exterior design updates and the place looks AMAZING! There’s also an option for outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the downtown Main Street view. It’s a great place with awesome owners and employees! Cannot recommend this place enough.

How have I never reviewed Stick Boy? Been a fan since I moved here in 2007. Stick-Boy is in Fuquay. There's parking in various places nearby in lots and on the street. It's such a cute shop with some seating inside & outside. Great coffee, friendly staff, delicious sweets & bread. Sourdough is amazing. Try the Sweet Potato Marshmallow Brioche as French toast.. you're welcome. My kids love the chocolate chip cookies. Their carrot cake is my favorite. In December try the peppermint ganache cake. Definitely worth a stop. Check it out.

Really interesting array of pastries. Their poppyseed muffin was not too sweet and their magic cookie really appealed to my love of marshmallow and coconut. Great place to get pastries and coffee in FV!

What a great little place! The array of breads looked high quality, but I was in there for sugar. Bought a blueberry sour cream coffee cake, which we've been nibbling on for days. Had a piece of lemon lavender cake, which was the EXACT right balance of citrus to lavender. And when I said it was my first time in, they offered me a free cookie. (Did I mention I was in there for sugar?) The oatmeal raisin cookie was perfection itself.

We love stick boy! They have a variety of sweets that are delicious and I love that they do blended drinks. The staff is great too!

Came down here to visit family and needed a morning jolt. Stopped into Stick Boy and glad I did! I got a great Latte and Turtle Latte, and then the baked goods! Quite the array. I tried several scones and a brioche bun. I wanted to try a bread, but couldn't justify an entire loaf. It was all delicious. I highly recommend it as a morning treat!

Paid $40 for a lemon pound cake that was so dry it was flaky. Shopping local failed big time. Too bad.

Trust me on this: get an oatmeal raisin cookie. It's SO GOOD. My family has also tried some brioche, and sticky buns. Everything is good, but that oatmeal raisin cookie has my heart lol

If you're going for bread, it's amazing. Even the desserts...but skip the coffee and walk around d the corner to one of the coffee shops.

Came by after a visit to the FV farmer's market and grabbed a couple of coffees. Tucked in to the downtown area, Stick Boy has a cute small cafe vibe (similar to Amelie's) and lots of bakery options! They sell freshly made biscuits, pizza dough, and pastries. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got the bacon cheddar brioche and blueberry bagel and both were delicious! The lattes were, dare I say, much better than Starbucks! And cheaper too! I think we found our new coffee spot! 9/10 - I would give them a perfect 10 if they served breakfast options! Pretty pleaseeee

This is a charming little spot. It was my first visit and I was a little confused with the ordering process. The staff wasn't that helpful that looked annoyed that I was taking my time. However, walking in, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of fresh bakery items.We ordered coffee, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, a blueberry scone and a cherry-lime biscotti. The sugar cookies were some of the best I've ever had! Both the chocolate chip and sugar cookies had the ideal level of sweetness and stayed soft even days later.

Great drinks and great pastries. The staff are good but definitely seem tired however they get your order right and get it done quick.

First time visiting today and here are my thoughts : * Everything I bought was good .. cookies were fantastic...oatmeal raisin and chocolate oatmeal ...French batard was also excellent. * The cinnamon roll that I bought for my wife was great as well ..she is a bakery manager and loved it. * Very friendly staff as well ..I would say I'd go during the week next time as it was crowded on Saturday morning and I really didn't feel like I could browse and see everything they had .

Very very nice looking place. I was excited to see a new shop challenge my dedication to Cultivate. However, that didn't happen, but I was mostly pleased. About 3.5 stars worth of pleased. Like I said, it's got a beautiful feel to it. I like the atmosphere and simple but effective decor. There was barely audible music coming from somewhere. Have a look at their mission statement. I liked what they were saying. My biggest gripe...a gripe worth two whole stars, but I'm feeling positive and forgiving today, so I'll round up from 3 stars to 3.5. The worst thing about this place is the coffee. No, the coffee I ordered wasn't bad. But no self-respecting coffee shop should have Best Buy dates on their shelf. Roast dates only. Or don't buy it. That's the rule for real coffee aficionados. Without them, you're not a coffee shop - you're a grocery store. Best buy dates = stale coffee. The truffles were very rich but tasty enough. No complaints about the espresso. I feel like this shop has promise, with a great environment and probably fantastic pastries. Since sugar isn't really my thing, and coffee is, I'd happily give them love for their baking powers. But not for their coffee.

Stopped by and had a chocolate chip scone and a cafe au lait. The scone was sensational and the cafe au lait was very good. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommend. And friendly service too.

Stick Boy has been one my absolute favorite discoveries in all of Fuquay-Varina since moving here two years ago. It's a local family owned bakery that makes handcrafted pastries and bread, and man do they absolutely knock it out of the park. Don't even get me started on the sourdough bread, it's a go-to order of ours and it's so dang good! I just love that I can come here in the morning, grab my favorite pastry (they have an amazing selection!), some coffee, have a nice conversation with the staff, and get my bread for the week when it's time. Everyone who works here is super pleasant with a true customer service attitude, and each visit is one I look forward to. Stick Boy also offers a mug club deal in which you purchase a mug (for a higher price) and receive free drip coffee and cold brew coffee for the entire year! It's such an epic deal especially for folks who drink coffee out every day. I won't speak on the current price, as it's now 2023 and may be different then it was last year, but it's always an amazing deal that's cheaper than purchasing coffee individually every day. So, it's worth considering if you live in Fuquay and drink coffee every morning. Verdict: If you're looking for a place to grab fresh pastries and coffee and need a new regular spot, or if you're just in the area and looking for a place to stop by, look no further. OMG! What a find! Ever since my sister moved to NC from NJ over 20 years ago I haven't really found a great bakery. This place was awesome. Sure, not as large as a selection as at home but it definitely fits the bill. I went on some other fellow Yelper reviews and went with the sticky bun with walnuts and raisins as well as 2 cinnamon buns because you never know who may want some when they come over and an iced grasshopper latte. Everything was soooo good. I'm not even sure if my sister has come here before being that she works in Fuquay but she doesn't venture out like I do. I'll definitely tell her about my great experience. I'll be back!

Friendly staff, great food, and cozy atmosphere. Not a place to linger for long as there's not much seating. But fantastic bread, cookies, coffee, and cake.

I did an online order for Parmesan peppercorn and sweet potato struan loafs sliced. The Parmesan peppercorn is best toasted with red pepper hummus. The sweet potato struan can take my money, my house, and my cars iykyk. That bread is so darn good that a driver being erratic instead of pissing me off it just saved them haha. I guess it's the non-smokers cigarette effect?! The team was very hospitable and now I'm going to need more bread for thanksgiving my Dad would love it.

The croissants are heavenly. Outside of Paris this is the next best place for them. Baguettes are the perfect texture. My kids love the cookies and my husband and I always split something new when we go. The matcha is also very good as well.

If you are looking for the world's best bakery, this is your place ! I'm here visiting my daughter and she brought me in for a sweet treat this morning and boy, was it a treat! I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll with cream cheese on top while she has the danish. Both were very light, fluffy and super yummy! If you live in town or are just visiting, I highly recommend you check this place out!

This is a cute little coffee shop in downtown Fuquay-Varina. Friendly staff, good coffee and tasty treats. I bought some breakfast goodies, cookies and got an espresso drink to go. I would recommend.

The desserts sound amazing so I was really really looking forward to loving this place. Unfortunately, the cookie fell flat...little to no flavor and was more on the "cakey side" then cookie...so if you like that I recommend you try it out you may enjoy it. The key lime pie was just OK. Not sure what happened to my whole slice, but it was presented just as it is in my photo. I have a crazy sweet tooth so I wouldn't mind trying this place again, I wouldn't get a cookie or the key lime pie ever again...the coffee cake or cinnamon bun might be my next try perhaps I just got the wrong thing.

Love grabbing coffee and pastries here in the mornings. Also their desserts and iced coffee are an excellent sweet treat. Always like to get some fresh bread to have at home. All the staff are always nice and helpful when I have been, which is quite a few times

Three words: French batard bread. Hands down my favorite bread. I call them on my way home from work and have them slice a loaf so it's ready for my to pick up. The chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls are also amazing! I haven't tried anything else but it all looks yummy.

Superb ambiance to match the sourdough! The attractive selection of scones and other loaves made decisions difficult. Obvious destination for every day or special occasion needs, including specialty coffee drinks.

Bakery so good it made my Mama sad! Fresh fresh fresh- a place where creativity, talent, and fresh ingredients equal or surpass the friendly nature of the staff. Add in great coffee to wash the crumbs down with and you have a perfect start to your day. The constant stream of locals and visitors speak more truth than all my words ever could! The cool casual historic-industrial-rustic interior complimented all the above. A Happy Group of Residents & Vistor's with full bellys and some edible souvenirs!

What a lovely local bakery. We stopped in after looking at a space in a new building nearby. The smell alone is wonderful. But the sweet rolls are to die for! Great space, coffee and service. My client said she would.move here just for stick boy!

Order a chocolate scone and bread it was very good. I do not like that the young man picked it up with us bare hand and then went to cash register and took my cash. I think they should be using tongs or gloves.Not the most sanitary way to serve food.

My kids live in the area and I saw this place on yelp last year when I visited and I didn't get there. This time I made it happen and I am so glad. I bought various scones - bacon cheddar, chocolate chip, blueberry, and cinnamon chip. They are all delish. my daughter in law got muffins and sour dough bread, and a big cinnamon roll she was happy with her purchase too. I know she will be back on a regular basis. love to support local business- See you all next time I'm in town.

The placed seemed to specialized in sourdough, but they know how to do a sticky sweet roll. The ones I got were moist and luscious. A chocolate chip muffin was substantial and delicious, if a little crumbly. I pondered a choice of loaf for some time and ended up with a cracked pepper and olive oil bread, which delivered nicely on the stated flavors. I still thought plenty about other items in their display. I was rushed a bit through the ordering process. They had smoothies as well that I could see trying if I were back in the neighborhood again.

I made a resolution recently to watch my calories and track my carbs. That went out the window when I bought a Batard from Stick Boy. Calories be damned. I don't know what they put in this bread but it is the real deal. I meant to have just one slice... five slices later I'm still going strong. Can't stop won't stop. Keep up the good work Stick Boy! I will be back

Love this local bakery. The owners and staff are always kind. The pastries and rolls are delicious. I love their sweet loaves, i.e., zucchini bread (to die for). I try to support local businesses and this is a gem in Fuquay Varina.

Conveniently located in downtown Fuquay, the Stick Boy Bread Company has something delicious for everyone. One of my favorite items is their cinnamon buns that are soft and sweet with a delicious cinnamon flavor. Since they're open for pick up during this time of COVID19 social distancing we gave their pizza dough a try and loved it. Their pizza dough rises nicely, perfectly doughy just like you'd get at a good pizza place. If you need something to keep your kids busy, they're selling Easter cookie decorating kits that were really enjoyed by my bunch. Stop in and give Stick Boy Bread Company a try, you won't be disappointed!

This is the kind of bakery and coffee shop I've been looking for! Great selection of baked goods- I got the choc chip scone, cheese and bacon brioche, and took home a sourdough loaf and a slice of carrot and cheese cake for my family! All were delicious! The cappuccinos were the best I've had since being in the USA for almost 2 years (I'm from South Africa). Lovely flavor, good combination of coffee and milky foam and not too strong! Looking forward to visiting again soon with my family when lockdown is over and we can sit in the store to enjoy the experience even more!

This is a quaint little coffee shop bakery in downtown. Absolutely MUST try a sticky bun... you won't regret that choice!! I often meet a friend for coffee & a chat (with a sticky bun of course!) and the atmosphere is perfect ... it's not overly loud, not huge but not too small & they have a few comfy chairs!

I had never tried pecan pie so I asked Raleigh natives where I could find the best one in the area. So many people said Stick Boy. Regrettably, I have driven by this precious bakery many times and never visited. I ordered a pecan pie online to be picked up the day before Thanksgiving and there was a line wrapped around the building! Thankfully, I had ordered my pie for curbside pickup. Upon receiving the pie, my car immediately started smelling like pecans, which I usually wouldn't mind but I picked up the pie the day before I could eat it so I was pretty much tortured till I got home and was able to store it in the fridge. The next day, we cracked open the box and OMG, it was so darn delicious. I had another slice the next day and coupled it with some chocolate chip ice cream. I'm not sure if this is common practice but, people, you need to try Stick Boy pecan pie with chocolate chip ice cream. You will thank me, seriously. I am looking forward to trying another one of their baked goods in the near future.

I stopped by Stick Boy Bread Co. recently and was pleasantly surprised to find out they had scones of several varieties. They were not what I was looking in this visit yet had to buy one of each to try them and experience the taste of each one for myself. Getting them home cutting them into bite sized pieces for the fily to try was fun in itself. All were good, blueberry and pumpkin chocolate chip were tasty. Always something new to try . Stop in and taste something new to you rather than keep driving by.. you know you want to.
