We were utterly oblivious to the fact that we had stumbled upon a veritable culinary sanctuary in the heart of Soho. Without a shadow of a doubt, Sticks’n’Sushi has established itself as the paramount sushi destination we have encountered in London to date, surpassing all our previous experiences.
True to our heritage, we arrived with characteristic Swiss precision, clocking in exactly for our reservation. Faced with an enticing yet daunting menu, we placed our trust in the exemplary staff. Their proactive guidance was invaluable, steering us confidently towards the aptly named ‘Set for Success’—a wager that paid off handsomely.
To call it an 'excellent choice' would be an understatement; it was a gastronomic triumph. The visual presentation was nothing short of artistry—just glance at the photos to see the vibrant colours and textures—but the flavours were even more spectacular. The portion sizes were lavish, providing a feast that was more than ample for us as a couple.
However, there is one caveat to this otherwise flawless experience: the auditory environment. The venue is undeniably boisterous, with pulsating beats and the escalating roar of overlapping conversations creating a rather cacophonous atmosphere. It is hardly the acoustic setting for whispered sweet nothings or an intimate courtship.
Yet, for the sheer quality of the cuisine? We would endure the noise again in a heartbeat. Absolutely worth it!
