Sticks'n'Sushi Wimbledon Review - Wimbledon - London - The Infatuation

"Sticks'n'Sushi is a mini-chain with spots across London and calls itself a blend between “a Japanese traditionalist and a Danish anarchist”. What does that mean? It means that you can get some pretty solid maki topped with things like tuna and barbecue sauce, crispy kataifi, and trout roe. While it may not be traditional Japanese sushi, you should know that the rolls are consistently excellent. The Wimbledon location’s sleek interior is perfect for a romantic date night or a long-awaited catch-up when you’re planning on settling in for a couple of hours. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

Sticks’n’Sushi Review - Covent Garden - London - The Infatuation

"This mini-chain calls itself a blend between “a Japanese traditionalist and a Danish anarchist”. What does that mean? It means that you can get some pretty solid maki topped with things like tuna and barbecue sauce, crispy kataifi, and trout roe. We’re not huge fans of the ‘sticks’ part of the menu which consists of yakitori from the grill, so we tend to stick to the sushi. And while it may not be traditional Japanese sushi, you should know that the rolls here are consistently excellent. They also have some great starters which you definitely need on your table. Don’t miss the hotate kataifi (scallops with miso aioli, trout roe, and kataifi) and kani korokke (crab croquettes). The interior is sleek and perfect for a date night or a long awaited catch-up, but if the sun’s out, you’re going to want to get one of their outside tables. photo credit: Giulia Verdinelli" - Rianne Shlebak

Our experience at Sticks’n’Sushi was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant maintains a perfect balance between quality, service, and price. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The skewers were cooked to perfection. One of the highlights was the special touch they added for our anniversary. They surprised us with a small dessert, a piece of ice cream as a shared sweet treat, complete with a small candle. It made it even more memorable. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring we had everything we needed.

Sleek and modern interior, with really friendly and attentive service. Great spot for lunch meetings or a few drinks and nibbles with friends. However, I would say that the food is fairly average and doesn't warrant the premium that other restaurants in same price bracket do.

My experience at Sticks and Sushi Soho was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the staff provided phenomenal service. They greeted us warmly, offered refreshing warm towels, and took the time to explain every dish that was served. It truly made the dining experience feel special and personalized. Even their customer service over the phone was excellent—friendly and helpful. The only slight downside is that it can be challenging to contact the branch directly during busy times, but that’s understandable given how popular they are. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Amazing food, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere. 10/10! Will definitely be back.

Food and service was great, but the acoustics were extremely bad. It was so loud we could barely hear what me and my partner were saying, and the tables were inches from each other. Also be aware of the 12.5% service charge they charge you without notice.

I have been there for the second time; it was Saturday evening, so quite a busy timing. Unfortunately, in the very beginning they placed me at my spot and totally forgot about me 😅 I understand there were a lot if people but you expect a certain level of the service from this kind of restaurants. However, the evening was saved with the help of a wonderful waitress who took my order and then checked me frequently (unfortunately, I don’t know her name). But huge thank to her for improving the situation. The food was great :)

Google
as always the quality of sushi here is great, however this branch is too busy and crowded for my liking. I’d suggest heading downstairs at the sushi bar for a more relaxed environment. If you prefer ambience with your meal I’d suggest other branches

INCREDIBLE ! The food, the service, the vibes We got stuck in the tube and were extremely late for our reservation and the host was super nice about it and managed to squeeze us in, even with a solid 30 minute delay. Be ready to spend when you come here, it’s pricey but it’s worth it. We ordered two menus for the two of us. I’m a big eater and my partner eats normally and it was the perfect amount. The quality of the food was simply surreal Everything felt extremely fresh and there were flavors that I’ve never tried before at a traditional sushi spot. The beef tataki was absolutely incredible The wagyu tartar simply delicious Incredible, must try

Great food and service. We loved it. I'm somewhat surprised with how consistent all the sticks'n'sushi restaurants are in terms of the food they make. There are only nuanced differences, and they're always top notch. This branch is slightly more crowded and noisy, but understandable given its location and it's still very nice. Fantastic service and really nice staff.
