At Sticks’n’Sushi, fusion reigns supreme with superb sushi rolls and delectable grilled sticks in a sleek setting that’s perfect for dates or group hangs.
"Sticks'n'Sushi is a mini-chain with spots across London and calls itself a blend between “a Japanese traditionalist and a Danish anarchist”. What does that mean? It means that you can get some pretty solid maki topped with things like tuna and barbecue sauce, crispy kataifi, and trout roe. While it may not be traditional Japanese sushi, you should know that the rolls are consistently excellent. The Wimbledon location’s sleek interior is perfect for a romantic date night or a long-awaited catch-up when you’re planning on settling in for a couple of hours. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak
"This mini-chain calls itself a blend between “a Japanese traditionalist and a Danish anarchist”. What does that mean? It means that you can get some pretty solid maki topped with things like tuna and barbecue sauce, crispy kataifi, and trout roe. We’re not huge fans of the ‘sticks’ part of the menu which consists of yakitori from the grill, so we tend to stick to the sushi. And while it may not be traditional Japanese sushi, you should know that the rolls here are consistently excellent. They also have some great starters which you definitely need on your table. Don’t miss the hotate kataifi (scallops with miso aioli, trout roe, and kataifi) and kani korokke (crab croquettes). The interior is sleek and perfect for a date night or a long awaited catch-up, but if the sun’s out, you’re going to want to get one of their outside tables. photo credit: Giulia Verdinelli" - Rianne Shlebak
