Christmas in Lithuania, From Vilnius to Kaunas

"If you prefer the cosiness of the Old Town's Jewish Quarter with its winding backstreets, you'll love the experience of being spoiled in the Relais & Châteaux Stikliai Hotel, a designer boutique hotel which sits beside the aforementioned restaurant Nineteen18." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

Outstanding small boutique hotel right in the heart of the old town. Beautiful and tasteful decor. Room was spacious and high quality. The sound insulation of the windows was miraculous. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices

I did my homework choosing a hotel in Vilnius, and my effort paid off. This was the first time my family and I visited this magical city, and we did not know what to expect. We arrived late, at 1:00 am, and one of our two rooms was upgraded immediately. The hotel was so beautiful, atmospheric, and comfortable, with updated bathrooms. The whole staff was welcoming. Andrius at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable, suggesting detailed itineraries and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious, especially the Eggs Benedict. The buffet was plentiful and filled with local fruit from the hotel's own farm, as well as cheeses, meats, breads, and pastries from the region. The breakfast staff was great, especially Vitalijus and all of the girls who served us. We plan to return soon.|

Historic hotel in a great location in the Glass Quarter, one of the most picturesque in the Old Town. Beautiful interiors, generous, comfortable rooms and excellent service. The food we had at breakfast and in the tavern could not be faulted. Within easy walking distance of many restaurants and cafes as well as all the major attractions. So glad we chose this hotel for our trip to Vilnius.

Fantastic stay. The hotel is gorgeous with a huge amount of art and beautiful design. Clean, neat rooms. Breakfast was excellent, service was excellent. The sauna was a lovely touch, we didn’t realize they had one when booking. Perfect location. No negatives.

My stay at Stikliai was nothing short of magical. This boutique hotel offers the perfect blend of elegance, privacy, and personalized service. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like a valued guest, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. The room was beautifully designed, cozy yet luxurious, with thoughtful touches that made the experience feel truly special. But the highlight of my stay was the private spa – an absolute sanctuary. It was serene, spotless, and so well-appointed. I enjoyed a blissful morning there Everything about this place exudes charm and tranquility Highly recommend, and I can't wait to return!

We had a great stay at Stikliai Hotel—it's a charming property with a lot of character, though it does feel a bit old in some areas. The location is excellent: right in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, yet tucked away on a quiet, narrow street. It’s incredibly convenient, with most restaurants and attractions just steps away, although getting dropped off at the front door can be tricky due to the one-way access. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a well-functioning bathroom and classic decor. It definitely had a cozy, old-world charm. The hotel’s interior garden is a highlight—bright, relaxing, and beautifully lit by natural sunlight through the veranda. On the downside, the fitness room was a letdown—it’s barely equipped and not really usable for a proper workout. There is a small pool and a sauna, but nothing exceptional. The hotel has two dining options: a more casual tavern and a more elegant restaurant, offering good variety depending on your mood. Overall, Stikliai is a warm and atmospheric place to stay if you value location, comfort, and a touch of historic charm, but don’t expect modern luxury or top-tier amenities.

Absolutely stunning historic hotel in the heart of Old Town. The service was excellent, every staff member was polite and attentive. The breakfast served in the morning was like visiting a high end cafe with a wide variety of delicious baked goods from their neighboring bakery and fresh fruits. The hotel is so beautiful, with each room having a charming and unique decoration.

Five-star service from all the staff and a great hotel in a good location. The breakfast was excellent, and we were happy that the complimentary late check-out was arranged. The only downside was the extremely hot room, which the cooling devices couldn’t handle (there was no proper a/c). We had very uncomfortable night and it was difficult to get ready for the day while sweating. We visited in April, so the issue might get even worse during the summer.
