We came on an event weekend of the Fun Run car show while it was going on and the drink I got from the bar was perfect along with the service and music that was playing. They weren’t doing full on dinner so I can’t say anything about that but by the taste and how our appetizers were most likely speaks for everything. They weren’t making dinner until 5pm but were able to make appetizers for my husband and I which were very delicious!! I had the jalapeño poppers and let me just say the texture of the outside and melt from the cheese inside was amazing!! They are dog friendly which was a BIG PLUS since we had our pug with us. We will definitely come back and recommend! There’s no pictures to show for the appetizers besides the empty plates because I didn’t think I was going to leave a review but this definitely needed one! Rain working the bar along with serving us is super friendly and had a great attitude! :)

Me and my wife came during the off season for the mountain (July) our entire hotel had about 5 other guests and when we went to dinner, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. This was a perfect setting. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend the Bee stung chicken. The bartender Darryl was amazing. A very friendly guy who made us feel like locals immediately. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you're ever in town or stay at the Holiday Inn. Absolutely a Gem

New Ownership = a HUGE win for Stillwells! Abby is great! She suggested the calamari and orange roughy… and we shared the artichoke dip. SO GOOD! Delicious food and excellent service.

I really enjoyed the service, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. Each and every single staff member was so accommodating and polite. The food was fantastic, even the side of veggies was phenomenal! I wish I took picture of my food, but it was way too delicious looking not to eat!!

This place is ridiculous. They gave us 6 menus for our party of 13. We asked for more menus, and Brenda told us they don’t have any more. We asked if they have kids menus, and she said “we do somewhere” then walked off and stood in a doorway looking at her phone. No one came to take our drink order. There was 1 table with people seated outside and literally zero other people inside. We left after 15 minutes.

im only giving it 3 because the staff were kind, and i loved the atmosphere. not giving it 5 stars because of its lack of vegan options. on the menu photos it says that there is an entire vegan section, where in reality there is only a vegan burger available. do not go here if you're vegan. i wish smaller towns like this would have options for people with different diets, they would get more service, and money.

Under new management/ownership and this place rocks! Came two days in a row. Been in Big Bear for 27 years and the dinning is tired. Waited 2.5 hours for a burger at oaks. Walked in and great quick service here. Love a good family restaurant. Alex at the front invited us into the cozy bar to Murphy and chef Filo came out and walked us through his passion and the menu. This was yesterday. Sitting at brunch now. Buffet looks great but went off menu with the crab cakes and dang. One of the best I have had. Giovanni (sp?) made amazing bloody Mary’s. Keep in mind new management as of the 23rd so ignore anything else here and I am a chef. Just met the crew here and stoked to have them so close to our cabins! Thanks team! See you tomorrow lol

If you like great food and amazing music this is the place. My party of eight is still bickering over who had the best food because everything that came out of the kitchen was amazing. The service was exceptional in the bar and the restaurant. Just amazing. Will definitely be back.

(3.8) We've visited Stillwell's several times over the past two years while staying at the Holiday Inn (The Lodge), and overall the experience has been welcoming. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and the staff has always been friendly. On our most recent visit, the customer service truly stood out. Even though they were clearly short-staffed, the bartender--a gentleman with a ponytail and a quick-witted tongue--went above and beyond. Not only did he make an excellent drink, but he also supported the waitstaff without missing a beat. He definitely deserves a shout-out. For food, I ordered Renee's Pasta with added shrimp. The seasoning was great, but there was a bit too much oil for my taste. The Texas toast on the side, however, was excellent. My husband and son ordered the chicken wings, and unfortunately this is where the experience fell short. Both sets of wings came out undercooked. They were sent back, but due to the short staffing there was some mix-up and the food never came back out. After a half-hour wait, they apologized and remade them, but even after receiving them (nearly 40 minutes later) and bringing them back to the room, the wings were still undercooked. My advice: maybe skip the wings until the kitchen figures out the issue. On a positive note, breakfast at Stillwell's has always been consistently good. We definitely recommend the omelettes--especially with their delicious homemade salsa. The pancakes are large and fluffy, though a bit on the bland side. The biscuits and gravy are decent but not outstanding. Overall, Stillwell's is a warm, clean, and inviting place with great staff. There are definite highlights, especially at breakfast, and some areas that could use improvement during dinner service. We hope to see those changes, because the potential and hospitality are definitely there. * my pictures are not uploading right now for some reason. Hopefully, I will get back to share all of those.

Both the bar and restaurant were amazing! The service is impeccable, super accommodating and very friendly staff. Lauren is absolutely amazing! We had breakfast there two days in a row, very good food. The bar has a cozy atmosphere with a nice view. The restaurant has something for everyone and prices are comparable to restaurants in town. Plates were hearty, and food fresh. Suggest researching the "free" breakfast options when booking your room because it isn't actually "free", the value may not be worth the price you pay. I suggest dining on your own accord without the voucher part. If you like Mimosa's or a Bloody Mary ask for the unlimited special! Definitely recommend visiting Stillwells.

Always a good time the food is great. The service is amazing and the ambience is relaxing. If you're feeling overwhelmed inside, you can always go relax at the lake right outside. You can't beat that happy hour

Found this little gem while on a walk and it's truly the best in Big Bear. The bartender, Ashley is super cool and makes fantastic drinks - obsessed with the lemon drop!

Really nice spot to grab a drink at the bar. Try the green tea shot. Ashley at the bar had a good play list playing out on the patio and she was very delightful.

Great place to go for happy hour. Good selection of drinks they are very generous with the portion. Excellent service by the bartenders. Shout out to Ashley for all your help. Try Mexican candy shot and green tea shot.

I had the BEST experience at Stillwells in Big Bear! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was cozy, welcoming, and exactly what you want when you're up in the mountains. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service truly made the whole night. I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Ashley, the bartender -- she was honestly the highlight of the entire experience. Super sweet, attentive, and made us feel taken care of the whole time. Her energy is unmatched, her drinks are on point, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the guests. You don't find service like that everywhere! If you're in Big Bear, do yourself a favor and stop by Stillwells -- and make sure you ask for Ashley at the bar. She made our night unforgettable. I'll definitely be coming back!

This review is for the breakfast buffet that's included with the room. Food was good and along the lines of what you'd expect for a complimentary hotel breakfast buffet. Would have been better if they had a second protein option besides scrambled eggs. But the potato hash was crispy and well seasoned. Service was friendly.

Ashley is the best bartender she made the most delicious drinks. Her service is amazing. The ambience here is so chill. She brings the vibe to her bar. Hell yeah.

Great environment, location is perfect and the live music is key to a place like this. Most things were great except the service. Plenty of drink options, but they are delivered with attitude.

Walking DT, the sign brought my spouse & I in, can't lie. What a great time we had. The Christmas light up the trees. Great happy hour, drinks, food, and vibes. Ashley and Naryan are awesome! Such a fun time. Def putting Stillwells on the map when visiting.

I can't believe the bartender was such good vibes! We had a great time singing karaoke right from the moment we walked in, and Ashley brought us a bunch of tiny board games, tiny jumanji!!! so fun

Ashley and Norayan were a great time! So friendly and welcoming. The drinks were delicious and they had great recommendations! I had so many drinks here and the cocktails were delicious but my favorite was the ube piña colada! I can't wait to come back and try the tiki menu!

On the positive, Stillwells is located adjacent to the Holiday Inn Lodge Resort, offering guests convenient access to Big Bear Village. The restaurant has a rustic charm, characteristic of the mountain setting. Unfortunately, this restaurant leaves much to be desired. I visited for breakfast, with my family, to find 1 server assisting all tables. We were not provided with water. The wait was exceedingly long for all facets of the meal--greeting, ordering, preparation, delivery, check-in, and payment processing. This is in a resort town, but this is no excuse for the grossly subpar service, quality, and quantity. My wife ordered an omelette, which was to come with toast. After all food was eaten, warm bread arrived, unbuttered. This was only after I asked. Additionally, I ordered a side of fruit. The fruit plate came with 13 pieces of fruit and totaled $7.99. Portion sizes were small for all meals ordered and the prices steep. I'd recommend those visiting to seek other options.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch in the bar, along with excellent cocktails. The bartenders are masters at mixing drinks. The Cadillac & strawberry Cadillac margaritas were outstanding, putting quite a pep in our step. They were very friendly & attentive, & we had a great afternoon. A very fun place to enjoy good food & great drinks.

Delicious food and wonderful drinks. Highly recommend. Also has parking which is very helpful when it's busy.

Really enjoyed Stillwell's for breakfast!! My favorite breakfast place we experienced in Big Bear. The service was excellent with Brenda!! She was attentive and our BEST server in Big Bear!! The food was great and perhaps the reason I say our best breakfast experience is that the patio is serene, quiet, beautiful with a little pond. We loved it!!

Murphy The manager doesn not allow his staff to do anything because he wants to be able to double tip. We Asked him to split the bill and he stated that he couldn't because he has already entered the order as a big group. So he charges everyone 20 % tip. When I was there another guest went off on him because of the way he was treating his staff. It looked like she was about to beat him down. I do not recommend this place. Which kind of sucked because everyone else was polite but had to be walking on eggshells because of that prick Murphy.

This food is great, the service is great, and it's a great place to have some drinks with friends! Such a great restaurant and bar, if you don't want to sit inside they have an outdoor area as well. They have amazing happy hour prices and the drinks are so good! Ashley was amazing, she was so funny and sweet and made some top tier cocktails! I would definitely come back again!

Came here twice- both times were awesome. We had lunch- tuna melt and a tuna salad sandwich both were delicious though tuna salad was our favorite. Then for breakfast we had banana and strawberry French toast and salmon eggs Benedict- both of those were equally delicious. It would just depend on if you wanted savory or sweet. We had two different servers- idk their names but they were both amazing!!! We'll be back and the patio area is super nice with a fountain.

Great experience, Ashley the scream queen makes the best drinks. If you are checking out the Big Bear area stop in and you will not be sorry.

All I got say is don't get the pancakes!!!! Like don't.... Unfortunately they have no flavor at all.

The night manger was the best! We had a large group and they accommodated us!!!! Mr. Strawberry was a great server!!! They got all our orders correct!! They want above and beyond! Can't wait till next year!!!!!

We came here with our family hoping for a nice meal out, but unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. I don't usually write negative reviews, but this visit really missed the mark. The eggs didn't taste quite right -- something was just off -- and the bacon was barely cooked. To top it off, the English muffin was so burnt it looked (and crunched) like a crouton. Not exactly what you expect with breakfast. Service was also disappointing. No one checked in on us, and our waters were never refilled once during the entire meal. It felt like we were completely overlooked. We really wanted to enjoy our time here, but between the food and the service, it just wasn't a good experience. Hopefully it was just an off day, but I don't think we'll be coming back.

The atmosphere was nice and the line dancing class seemed popular. They were able to accommodate our larger party mostly because the restaurant area was empty. The food was fair but over priced. The service could have been better as well. I felt like we were not welcomed by the staff. The locals at the line dancing class were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Not worth it. Just went for breakfast expecting brunch . My husband went in yesterday and asked and was told there was brunch. That's only on Sunday now. We were sat at a dirty table and had to ask to have it cleaned. They forgot our drinks. Food is mediocre. My biscuit was rock hard. Waitress was nice . NOTE they charge gratuity 20% on a party of 6 or more although it's NOT stated on their menu..

Amazing food, great service and awesome entertainment. The chicken marsala was perfect. My steak was amazing. I can't wait to come back and try the wings because they looked so good.

Service was great! Ambiance was nice in the bar but if the table is next to a window, issue with bugs coming in and ants. Burgers were good but not seasoned at all. I don't recommend the ribs. They were overcooked. Although we weren't charged for them when we pointed it out.

I used to be a regular customer when the family owned Barnstorm Cafe. Went for breakfast. Poor service. Waited 45 minutes to be acknowledged. When I ordered a bloody mary, I was told, "we changed our rules, now only the bartender can make drinks and they don't start until 5pm." Food arrived cold. Looks like they lost all sense of customer service during the move. What a shame! They've lost a decades long regular customer.

The servers/staff were working their tails off, so that was appreciated and recognized. The food however was 5star prices for food you could find out of the Costco freezer section, literally. The chicken cordon bleu ($29.99), fish n chips ($24.99), and vegetables were the exact same as the ones I bought at Costco. Then, when we got the bill, we had to ask for a copy of it. When we looked at it, all the prices were $2 more expensive than the menu showed. They did not tell us that, so they comped a glass of wine which did not cover the extra hidden cost. I don't mind paying top dollar for good food, but this was Denny's quality with Ruth's Chris prices. There was no wait for us to get a table on an extremely busy weekend. That was a positive, but now we know why.

Staff were friendly and very helpful whether it was figuring out what the soup of the day was to getting a bowl of water for our dog. Food is very delicious. Great music and the water fountain created a very nice ambiance.

Really sad to say that the food was not good at all. I sat with a party of 7, we all ordered different things (ribeye roast, shrimp scampi, fish and chips, kids spaghetti). It was also waaay too expensive for the quality of food; poor.

Great location as things as eatery's were limited here at early hours. You can do buffet for $18.99 but food is not great for the price. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, waffles, pancakes, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, and cereal are options. It was very clean and cozy. Really nice environment. But food was bland and didn't taste fresh.

I was really disappointed. The food was still good, but i had to wait about 10 minutes for silverware to eat it. All in all, they seemed very disorganized. Then, when checking out, the waiter simply gave me a number - that seemed high to me. I paid in cash, THEN he brought me a receipt with the breakdown. I was there with six other ladies, and we had been charged 20% for "large group tip." Without telling us, so i'd added an additional tip on already. Frankly, i don't feel the service was worth 20%, though i generally do give that. To find that i paid 41.5% is very disturbing. Seven people is a "large group"? I feel we should have been told that up front.

Do NOT come here I'm being so genuine. The only good things about this restaurant is the convenience to the hotel nearby and the restaurant's appearance. The rest of the factors are disastrous. When we got seated it took well over thirty minutes to get our order taken, while other tables got attended to who came later. Our waitress comes to our table, standing there with no greeting or message she's ready to take our order. An awkward silence occurs then we finally get the memo. She takes our orders and we wait yet again. Almost an hour later our food arrived, and I couldn't believe these blasphemous food portions. These expensive prices had the SMALLEST portions I've seen. The fish and chips looked like a child's meal, while the steak was short of meat. The pasta was fine, but the garlic bread was just burnt and tasted like the stove. This wasn't a pleasant experience and when we vacation here I am NOT dining here

Attached to the Holiday Inn, a super convenient place to have breakfast while staying at the Inn! There was only one very nice girl serving the entire place and was understandably closed the next day due to staff shortages. I'm glad we made it here the day it was open! The kids menu is the right portion for smaller kids, might not be enough for kids used to eating American portions. At the price point of $5.99, I thought it was a fair price being in Big Bear. They also offer coloring pages with crayons for the kids. I ordered the InnJoyable egg breakfast plate with sausage, potatoes, and English muffin. Perfect portions, but then again it may not be enough for some. At $13.50, again, it's a fair price for being in Big Bear. We like staying at the Holiday Inn, so we hope to come here again next time we are in town again. Thank you to our kind server who was working hard managing the morning crowd!

Poor service. No one behind the bar to order a drink, she was eating a burger at a table. Finally helped to place an order and waited 20 minutes to get a burger (which was good). No utensils or napkins, nor did anyone check on us, or bring the check. My husband had to walk in to pay, no person again to help, she was sitting on the lap of someone. We won't be back. Paid and left no tip.
