Stink Cheese & Meat - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Stink is a family-friendly spot in Tacoma that recently reopened for indoor dining. They specialize in charcuterie boards and cheese platters, both of which we’d consider perfect pairings for a gin and tonic. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

We came here for a company lunch and I ordered the Chocolate Balsamic Salad — WOW, it was delicious! Fresh greens with sweet strawberries, crispy bacon, and some kind of sweet nut topping that added the perfect crunch. The chocolate balsamic dressing tied it all together in such a unique and tasty way. Every bite had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and crunchy. The service is great; my salad was brought out with a smile. I know that might sound like a small detail, but it really makes a difference. Not every place has staff who can manage that, especially when they’re busy or overworked, so I truly appreciate it. Overall, I loved everything about this visit and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend!

I went to an art show here recently and had never heard of them. I’m glad i was introduced! The views are amazing and the sandwich and mac and cheese was great!

Google
The Trifecta is brilliant-a little soup, a little sandwich, and a little salad all make a filling lunch! Great service and bright windows give the new location a fun vibe. The art work was cool adding a bit of uniqueness to the tall walls. The entrance is a little off-putting and you wouldn’t think there is a restaurant in the building, but there is and it has a water view and worth the search! There is street parking and garage parking too, so don’t get discouraged trying to find them. Worth every bite!

Fantastic traditional cocktails, beautiful view, amazing flavours, and an excitingly inclusive-feeling atmosphere. Highly recommend for something different or as a regular date spot.

I have to say that I haven't been to Stink in a number of years since they moved to their new location inside of an office building. It's not the location that keeps me away, it is the hours. I went here recently because a friend of mine was playing live music, and the Caprese salad was absolutely delicious. My friends had the charcuterie board and it was lovely. My guy had a sandwich and raved about it. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. My only wish is that they were open later hours for those of us who work during the day and can't make it for dinner before 6:00 p.m. But I will definitely try to be back for another special event!

Such a lovely and chill place! Their specials are bomb (today we had a grilled cheese with sauerkraut and sausage and tomato soup), and their meets and cheese are (of course) on point (pictured: meat plate and roasted garlic & Pierre-Robert)! A good place to hang out for a while and leisurely snack on all the great menu items, a favorite of mine being the bacon wrapped dates (also pictured). Drinks are also great, whether you’re going for a traditional whiskey on the rocks or a fun cocktail like the “fall mule” which featured a hint of cinnamon apple!

Yelp
Check this place out! Beautiful panoramic views of the marina! Located inside building 909 in downtown Tacoma. It's very simple to find once you enter. Amazing flavors, quality and value on Salads, Mac and cheese, Sandwiches, soups and desserts! Drinks? Coffee or wine galore! There are daily specials that change too as well as a kids menu. It's a slam dunk win.

Yelp
Service felt like friends i wanted to hang with. We ordered a variety and each item was high quality taste, fresh, and prepared beautifully. All of the with the city best view. Such a lovely atmosphere to have a relaxing meal visiting with family. I will be back. Oh, and don't miss the espresso martini.

Yelp
Great lunch spot! Both for to-go and sit down with a bestie or group. Fresh menu items that are a great value. They love their clientele and host special evening wine menu pairing, private gatherings, and intimate music nights. Also great location and views.

Yelp
Stink has resurfaced again! They were just off of the Antique District in Tacoma but has reopened in the Russell Merril Building or what some call it the State Farm Building even though State Farm isn't there anymore. Stink is as good as I remember it! With their high end cheese and fresh ingredients it was a thrill to see them back. Steve and I split a three cheese plate which came with fresh fruit and roasted, glazed nuts. Absolutely wonderful! We also had a large size of their Macaroni and Cheese which some of the dollar amount goes to a benefit for a security employee(R.I.P.) that once worked in the building. The Macaroni and Cheese was wonderful! I could have easily had my own, even if it was large but probably a good thing it was shared. We finished off with a great tiramisu which was so fresh and delicious! I love this dessert anyway but Stink's version is amazing. They serve wine which Steve had a white which tasted very good while I had a Mule cocktail with I believe cranberry flavor to it and that was a new twist that I really liked. Of course the atmosphere here is completely different than their previous location. It's more spacious and more well lit but they can turn the lighting down to make it more moody. Probably the best part is the view as you can get here of the Port of Tacoma, Thea Foss Warerway and Mount Rainier.

Yelp
We booked the restaurant for a wedding reception. The restaurant is typically closed on weekends and we booked it on a Saturday. The staff were very attentive and the food was amazing. The physical space had a view and a large space outside the restaurant that could be used for karaoke or dancing. We had an open bar and the service was very good. I highly recommend this venue for this type of event

Yelp
EPIC food, gorgeous views, lovely ambiance, run by wonderful humans. I have loved everything I have ever ordered, and I have tried nearly everything on the menu Some of my all time faves are the mushroom soup, Monte Stinko, and any daily mac or daily grilled cheese can never go wrong! The service is genuine and personal, kind and attentive. I appreciate everything about this establishment! Stink encompasses so much of what is amazing about Tacoma. Love love love Stink, welcome back!!!!!

Yelp
Odd name, but great for lunch. Terrific view, and excellent sandwiches and soup. Service is impeccable. Street parking is usually easy, but there are also garages nearby. I've been there twice in two weeks, and both meals were top notch. Prices also very reasonable. Try the mushroom soup if they have it.

Yelp
Great food, good service, spectacular view! Wish they were open on the weekends! It's a nice place for lunch or for after work wine and cheese plate.

Yelp
New location, hours and fabulous view. Same great food, great service and wine. Mushroom soup is the best we know (not creamy) and their cheeses form the basis of creative sandwiches and rotating mac cheese. Terrific , simple house salad. Can do half sandwich plus salad or soup, or do all three. Reasonable prices. Go for lunch or happy hour. You can't see it from street -park underneath or on street

Yelp
Went for lunch with a large group. Great new location, service and food were wonderful.
