"Stirr opens its second Dallas location next week in Fort Worth. The 10,000-square-foot American eatery offers sharable cocktails, local beers, and purple-hued elixirs honoring Texas Christian University’s colors. It features a 250-person dining area, an 80-person patio, and 20 TVs to catch games. The menu includes starters, salads, tacos, flatbreads, and meaty mains like a 21-day dry-aged ribeye, grilled quail, pork chops, and kobe beef burgers. Students with a valid ID receive a 10-percent discount, and weekday happy hour offers half-priced food and drinks." - Tierney Plumb

I had the lamb chops, they were pretty good. For the price, I was expecting 3. It I only got 2. Most of the plate was actually steak fries and let's be honest... no one likes steak fries. The fries were meh, garnish at best. It's a shame because the chops I did get were really good. I also got a drink, it was good but nothing great. The other people I was with enjoyed their meals. I would of given this place a 3 of their played weren't so good. They didn't suffer from the lackluster quantity mine did.

My husband, son and I came for brunch on a Saturday morning. Stephanie was our server and she was friendly and informative. We had a couple of cocktails (the girl next door and the stockyards smash), both were delicious. We also had the chicken eggrolls as an appetizer. Pictured is the Texan, R&D Tacos and the kids cheeseburger. Everything tasted great. We will be returning soon!

Food was delicious but service was poor. Our dinner party reservation was for 7pm. Got there at 7:03 by the time the waiter came to take our order at 7:20 he said he wasn't serving anymore appetizers and he was only taking dinner orders. Good thing we weren't too hungry. He was sort of rude and abrupt

Much better use of the space than the previous place that was here. The decor is nicer than most of the other spots in Crockett Row which makes it an ideal place for a date night. The bar is a mile long so it is easy to pop in for a couple of drinks with a friend or two without much wait at all. When half price happy hour ends at 7, the lights dim and the music bumps so even if you aren't on the covered patio upstairs where the party really happens, you still get a little turn up in the restaurant below. The service was good for an opening week visit. Just like any other restaurant STIRR was still working out some of the finer details, but the servers were personable and attentive and widely available. Shoutout to my man Joe behind the bar. Out off all the delicious menu items, don't sleep on the buffalo eggrolls and have a Thyme for a Change. Trust me.

We had a small party here on Sunday for brunch. The food was absolutely amazing, BEAUTIFUL presentation. However, our server Des (Dez?) was horrible. She took forever to bring additional menus for our party, we also waited a while for our mimosas to come to the table. She brought one of our party guests a dirty glass with lipstick stains on it. She dropped our food off & never returned to even see how we liked our food or if we needed anything (and we did). We did track down the manager who was great! I asked for salsa & he literally made me salsa from scratch. It was really delicious as well. Everything was great except our server. I will return but I just wish our server would have better communicated with us what was going on or assigned us a different server if she had some type of emergency or was simply too busy to tend to us.

Atmosphere is cool (we sat in the rooftop area). Our waiter was super nice and attentive. Some of the food was good (fried chicken appetizer, sweet potato fries with their homemade ketchup, bread pudding) and some was not so good (burger - tried both and they were quite dry). The kitchen struggled to get things right (brought out half of one plate 5 minutes before anything else, brought two incorrect meals, the last half of the first meal arrived after all of the other meals arrived and we're partially eaten).

Gave STIRR a try last night and the negative customer service reviews did not disappoint. Our group was excited with the atmosphere at the roof top bar with open seating concept. It took some time for our server to acknowledge us and take our drink orders. That is about as good as it got from there. We waited 45 minutes after the first drink order before our server checked on us for refills. We requested another round of drinks and still waited empty handed another 15 minutes before we complained to management. Drinks arrived after that with apologizes from management to include drink comps but the damage was already done. To top off the epic event ... ordered additional food items from the menu that showed up wrong. All we could do at that point was laugh and call it a lessons learned to not return.
