Woo, what a remarkable experience. We opted to go Stock and Bond for our Thanksgiving meal, which was fantastic. We also snagged two orders of crab cakes, a main menu item, as an appetizer.
We were pleasantly surprised that the crab cakes came out two per plate, but they are filling. One order would have been enough. This did not stop us from eating them all. They are wonderful. The0 sauce they sit on creamy and sharp with a fair bit of dill. It also comes with a bit of sliced cucumber, tomato, and frisee. Very refreshing.
The Thanksgiving meal (no pictures, sorry) was wonderful. Turkey roulade, stuffing was the best I've had in our annual T-giving outings, excellent mashed potatoes, green beans with mushrooms, and sweet potatoes.
My only qualm was the Midwesterner in me did, in fact, miss a bit of marshmallow with the sweet potato. The stuffing had nuts in it, pecans, if memory serves. Worth asking if you have an allergy.
Pumpkin pie was the last as part of this prix fixe menu. We totally forgot about it but managed to find room. I am not usually a big pumpkin pie person but it was quite good. Deliciously spicy with just enough sweetness. I couldn't finish mine - too full.
The main dinner menu was made fully available, which was fantastic.
Last, but absolutely not least, the atmosphere. No picture that I saw of Stock and Bond did this place justice. We spent the first few minutes just looking around quietly taking it all in. It's a lot and in a very cool way.
We plan to come back for special celebrations. It quickly became one of the favorite places we've ever been and we want to give the main dinner menu more of a try.
