Twin Cities Restaurant and Bar Openings to Know, August 2025 | Eater Twin Cities

"A swanky steakhouse has arrived in the Westin Hotel Minneapolis. Stock & Bond is a temple to beef and whiskey, featuring Linz Heritage Black Angus and more than 350 brown spirits. It’s the restaurant’s second outpost — the original debuted in Oklahoma City in 2022. The 8,300-square-foot has an art deco-influenced design and a 40-foot-long bar and can accommodate up to 250 guests. Stock & Bond is open for breakfast and dinner, with lunch and brunch service coming soon." - Jeffy Mai

Stock & Bond Restaurant Will Open in Downtown Minneapolis | Eater Twin Cities

"A new steakhouse is slated to open downtown inside an 8,340-square-foot space at the Westin Hotel Minneapolis that had been dormant since January; the Minneapolis location was developed by a New York–based consultancy behind dozens of hotel restaurants and follows an original unveiled by Apicii Hospitality Group in November 2022 inside Oklahoma City's First National Center. Like its older sibling, the Minneapolis location possesses a financial connection, situated inside the 83-year-old Farmers and Mechanics Savings Bank building, and will seat 251 across three options: a bar and lounge with seating for 89 guests, a 90-seat dining room, plus five private dining rooms with their own semi-private lounge space. While the Oklahoma City location focuses on USDA Prime beef, the Minneapolis menu will diverge and feature steaks from Linz Heritage Angus, specifically its proprietary Heritage Black Angus line of meats — Black Angus cuts are coveted due to superior marbling — and a full menu will be unveiled closer to opening; the Oklahoma City site’s raw bar selections and seafood to complement the beef hint at similar offerings. Executive chef John Sobojinski, an experienced butcher who spent six years working in New York City, "cutting his teeth under the tutelage of superstar chefs Missy Robbins (Lilia and Misi in Brooklyn, New York) and Jean-Georges Vongerichten," also brings hotel experience from the Royal Sonesta Minneapolis’s Wood + Paddle. Design firm Wilson Ishihara leans into the 1940s Art Deco building — incorporating references to the farmers, mechanics, and bankers of Minneapolis’ past — and retains original features such as six gilded lotus-blossom chandeliers that were part of the bank, rich jewel tones, antique brass banker wire screens, and a centerpiece mural by artist Aaron Petz on the bank’s original three-story, 33-foot ceiling depicting a banker and mechanic. The restaurant’s name references federal legislation: "The Bottled-in Bond Act of 1897 established standards for whiskey and other spirits mandating each barrel must by aged at a federally bonded warehouse for a minimum of four years, that the product needs to come from a singular distillery, and bottled at 100-proof." Translation? "This place wants to sell customers a lot of brown liquor at its 40-foot-long bar." A collection of more than 350 American whiskeys, bourbons, and ryes will be on display behind the bar with an emphasis on local brands, including several aged whiskeys and a barreled cocktail from Tattersall Distilling; wines will similarly lean on American vineyards from Napa and Sonoma to the Willamette and Columbia valleys. Construction is underway and a summer opening is planned." - Serena Maria Daniels

Had dinner there with my husband and had such a great experience. We already decided to come back another time. First of all, service was top notch. Our server, Elliot, was PHENOMENAL to say the least, so funny and attentive. We ordered a bit too much food for 2 people but overall the food was delicious! We had tuna tartar, Tagliatelle (great sauce and texture!), 14oz ribeye with chimichurri sauce, whipped potatoes (I'd lick the pan if I wasn't too full), and brussels sprouts (a little bit too sweet and too char for our likings but was not a bad dish at all). We would have been able to finish all the food if we didnt order the brussels sprouts. They're generous with food portions here! Drink wise: husband liked the High Rollers and I enjoyed my N/A flightless bird. Ended with a giant ice cream sundae that could have been shared by 3-4 people total. Because we got a birthday bond with a free dessert. Please sign up for their Insider Club before coming because it's so worth it! Overall, good food, great experience, place was a bit dimmed but not a deal breaker, music level was perfect, easy to hold a conversation without talking loudly. We will come back!

Just got back from our annual outing with the business partners. Waiter was uninterested from the beginning. Atmosphere was very good maybe a little too dark noticed multiple tables using cellphones to illuminate menus. Drink service was incredibly slow all 3 rounds of drinks took 15 + minutes to get served. Desserts were not very good, no gold leaf on the chocolate like the website shows. Wagyu was questionable if it was wagyu, no flavor lacked salt. Half the ribeye bone in was flavored properly half was too salty. Porterhouse was cooked properly but missed on the salt, filet was good. We requested 6 sides waiter warned it was too much and the sides are huge. The sides are not huge! The 6 sides were appropriate for our group of 6 average size people. I don’t see myself going back kind of disappointed. Scallops were small but good. $250+ per person

Woo, what a remarkable experience. We opted to go Stock and Bond for our Thanksgiving meal, which was fantastic. We also snagged two orders of crab cakes, a main menu item, as an appetizer. We were pleasantly surprised that the crab cakes came out two per plate, but they are filling. One order would have been enough. This did not stop us from eating them all. They are wonderful. The0 sauce they sit on creamy and sharp with a fair bit of dill. It also comes with a bit of sliced cucumber, tomato, and frisee. Very refreshing. The Thanksgiving meal (no pictures, sorry) was wonderful. Turkey roulade, stuffing was the best I've had in our annual T-giving outings, excellent mashed potatoes, green beans with mushrooms, and sweet potatoes. My only qualm was the Midwesterner in me did, in fact, miss a bit of marshmallow with the sweet potato. The stuffing had nuts in it, pecans, if memory serves. Worth asking if you have an allergy. Pumpkin pie was the last as part of this prix fixe menu. We totally forgot about it but managed to find room. I am not usually a big pumpkin pie person but it was quite good. Deliciously spicy with just enough sweetness. I couldn't finish mine - too full. The main dinner menu was made fully available, which was fantastic. Last, but absolutely not least, the atmosphere. No picture that I saw of Stock and Bond did this place justice. We spent the first few minutes just looking around quietly taking it all in. It's a lot and in a very cool way. We plan to come back for special celebrations. It quickly became one of the favorite places we've ever been and we want to give the main dinner menu more of a try.

Michael and I had lunch here for our anniversary. It was 1pm on a Monday so the restaurant was quiet. Daniel, our server, was wonderful! He was attentive and offered great input as we were selecting our meal. The shrimp cocktail was wonderful with 3 very large shrimp was enough to start our meal. The beet salad was so good. Michael had the Waygu steak and I had the surf and turf. We left well served and fed and look forward to coming back again. ♥️

My sister and I went during restaurant week to celebrate our birthdays. The ambiance was perfect. Nice and cozy. The food was exquisite. The salad was bright and springy, the perfect start to our meal. The short rib ravioli and sage and shallot chicken entrees were both delicious. The sauce on the ravioli had a depth of flavor we both loved. The sundae and pistachio and raspberry cheesecake desserts were the perfect end to the meal. That cheesecake was hands down the creamiest one I've ever had.

So glad I found Stock and Bond for our anniversary date night. Food, drinks and service were phenomenal. Our waiter, Kyle, was amazing. He gave us a card for our anniversary which was so cute and appreciated. Thank you Kyle! His service was amazing and it was super cool to see how all the servers worked together. For a newer place I was very impressed with how well the team worked together and helped one another out. Must try the salmon appetizer. So so good. I really don’t think you could go wrong with any of their steaks but the whipped potato’s were by far my favorite side. We will definitely be back soon!!

I recently dined at Stock & Bond and had an excellent experience from start to finish. My server, Greg, was incredibly professional, polite, and attentive throughout the evening. I ordered the 8oz filet with truffle fries, paired with sparkling water and a ginger ale. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and presented beautifully. One thing that surprised me the most was the bread rolls offered at the start of the meal. I always believed Texas Roadhouse had the best bread rolls, but Stock & Bond proved me wrong—these were hands down the best I’ve ever had. The quality of the food, service, and overall atmosphere absolutely justify the higher price point. I’ll be coming back next week with my wife, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Minneapolis. If possible, ask for Greg—he was outstanding, and I’d happily have him as my server again.

Google
Such an amazing discovery on our recent trip to Minneapolis. Very cool space, it used to be a bank and the interior is really fantastic. Only complaint is it’s super loud, hence the 4 stars. It’s got a nightclub kind of atmosphere but the music could be turned down a notch. Food- superb. Service? David was stellar. So knowledgeable, great recommendations, super friendly, didn’t rush us. He was perfect!! Do not skip the crab cakes! Caesar was light and lovely. Mac and cheese features rigatoni (standing up in dish) with habanero. It was rich and delicious. Mushrooms, rib eye, you can’t go wrong. Solid drinks, excellent dessert choices. David chose bread pudding for us ha ha

Yelp
My partner and I tried Stock & Bond for our Anniversary, I had read great reviews so we decided to give it a try! The entire experience was perfect, we were greeted with a card from the team to wish us a happy anniversary. We then ordered cocktails, the 14oz NY strip, corn and truffle fries, which were all delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and kind, as well as the manager who checked on us throughout our meal. Lastly, we were given a complimentary dessert to finish the night. It was a wonderful experience, we will be going back for future date nights!

Yelp
Let's get it over with...it's pricey. There. You've been warned. That is the extent of the CONS I have to share. Everything else is a PRO! And honestly, when a place exceeds your expectations in terms of food, service, ambience, drinks and overall appeal -- I'm OK if it costs more. Honestly, it should. So let's walk through it... We made reservations and arrived 8 minutes late, but were helped immediately -- they offered to take our coats, we talked about the parking and they showed us to our table. We were told who our server would be and he appeared shortly thereafter -- offering water, drinks, recommendations, etc. He also took the time to tell us some of the history of the building and the brief history of the restaurant (opened 2 months ago)...at our prodding. We ordered drinks and then later ordered a tomahawk ribeye, Brussel sprouts and truffle fries. While waiting, we enjoyed our drinks and were offered fresh buttered rolls (my wife said they were delicious). Everything arrived in a timely manner and was perfectly prepared and presented in unique but tasteful bowls, plates and a cutting board (for the beef). The fries had clearly been taken out of the fryer and brought out immediately as they were still very hot! The beef was cooked and seasoned with finishing salt perfectly and the Brussels had a hint of sweetness (berry perhaps? Marmalade?). Delicious! As I mentioned, it wasn't cheap, but we could hear each other clearly without talking loudly, the lighting was romantically dim, but visible, the food and drinks were perfect -- we will be back!

Yelp
After seeing this place hyped up all over tiktok, we knew we needed to give this place a try! It's even more stunning in person! First, make the reservation! We were staying in a close hotel, so we walked and then took an uber back! So I'm not sure about the parking in this area. They do have valet here though! Walking in, you are welcomed by very tall ceilings, black and gold interior colors, soft lighting and an open concept. It truly feels like you aren't even in Minnesota anymore! The hostess was lovely but our server Jen was truly fantastic! She was unbelievably sweet! For my boyfriend's birthday they gave him a complimentary 16 layer chocolate cake slice and card signed by the employees working. The pictures show gold and chocolate curls on the cake. Ours did not come with that. The cake itself was fairly dry. I would not order it again. But I'm getting ahead of myself! Dinner! The food: we started with an old fashioned and an IPA. Both were very good! As an appetizer, we got the caviar tots and wedge salad, split between the 2 of us. The plating was well done! The bacon on the salad was thick and tasty! The caviar tots are different from when they opened but were very tasty!! For dinner we split the New York strip(14oz) with added black truffle butter. The butter was good but not with $12. Would not get that again. The steak was supposed to be cooked "medium." The end pieces were definitely well done. The inside was more medium, but was still a drier steak. The flavor was good and the steak had little fat on it. We agreed we would try a different cut. We also got the truffle fries which are some of the best we have ever had!!! Delicious!!! Get those!! The colossal shrimp were good with the cocktail sauce but again, you only get 3, so not worth the money. The complimentary bread and butter were excellent! Overall, we would definitely come back for the fries, caviar tots and to try a different cut of steak. The service and ambiance were perfection!

Yelp
Minneapolis for work and stopped into Stock & Bond after seeing the great reviews online. From start to finish, it was outstanding. The service was top notch. Nadia was my waitress and she made the entire experience exceptional. She walked me through the menu with genuine excitement and offered great recommendations. The ambience is beautiful -- warm, elegant, and just the right mix of classy and comfortable. It's the kind of place that feels perfect for a date night or a special dinner out. My waitress even shared a fun detail about how the building used to be a bank years ago! And the food... wow. Every dish was incredible. I had the chopped wedge salad, their complimentary bread, the short rib pappardelle, elote creamed corn, and brussel sprouts. Every bite was beyond delicious. I couldn't stop eating even though I was full. I'm honestly sad I don't live in Minneapolis because I'd be here all the time. Stock & Bond is an absolute must-visit!

Yelp
First, let me remark on how this place is absolutely gorgeous inside; it possesses the ultimate vibe for aesthetics and convenience downtown. However, I was extremely disappointed with the food in every way. Nothing about the food tasted exceptionally high quality. My salad was pretty basic and the lettuce was not crisp, almost expired. My burger was unfortunately very undercooked, and my crab cakes were expensive ($45) but burnt and not made with the freshest of crab meat from what I can tell. On top of all this, the service was quite slow even though the place was nowhere near busy. Thankfully, our server was nice, which helped the experience greatly. Still, the subpar food at supreme pricing left me with the desire to only return back here for drink and vibes only.

Yelp
This was on my list and decided to check it out for date night during restaurant week. Made reservations but it wasn't crazy busy when we got there. Walked in and seated immediately. Everyone working was very professional. I loved the space, just a beautiful restaurant with a upscale feel. Ordered some salads, steak, chicken and cheesecake. I got the chicken and it was good but my date got the steak and after trying hers, I should have got that, and I'm not a steak guy. Cheesecake was amazing also. Restaurant is a little bit of a different experience cost wise, but we loved our experience here and will definitely be returning.

Yelp
This restaurant is gorgeous! I am from Las Vegas so there aren't too many places out of town that impress me as far as ambiance - but this one truly did. I had high hopes for a 5 star experience, but I was sadly disappointed! From the beginning, the service was lacking and inconsistent. For instance, we ordered bottled still water and I counted as many as 7 times that we had to stop the bussers from pouring iced water into our cups. Everytime we asked for something, it felt like a bother to the server which was unfortunate because the tables around us with a different server seemed to be having better service. I ordered an extra dirty Grey Goose martini which was not good. I was not convinced it was the vodka I chose. And trust me, I order this drink at almost EVERY restaurant I go to so I am not just being picky. I didn't send it back though and just decided to sip on it. No one ever asked if I wanted another or asked if it was to my liking. For starters we ordered a Caesar and the beet salad. Beet salad was amazing 10/10. However, my boyfriend's Caesar which he asked for extra croutons in - came with none. We asked them for extra and they came back with a container with 4 croutons. We asked our server again who came back with another serving of just 4 croutons. Combined, this would not even have been enough for the whole salad. For dinner we ordered the porterhouse for 2 which was cooked perfectly to our liking. The sauces we ordered were the au poivre, the steak sauce, and the s&b butter. Of the three, the steak sauce was the best. For sides the whipped potatoes were also a hit. However, the roasted mushrooms had so many herb stems in every bite I took it was so hard to eat. The ice cream sundae for dessert was huge it could have definitely fed 4 people easily. For spending about $500 on two people I expected better service, at least. Maybe to be checked on a couple of times during dinner? ImAlthough my experience here was not the best, I truly look forward to their improvements and would come back in the future to try it again just based off of how beautiful it was.

Yelp
Beautiful building that is truly stunning in terms of its artwork and ceiling design. It definitely makes it feel like a special fancy night. I went for my birthday, the servers made the night very special. We did of course get the chocolate cake with gold flakes, which is a showstopper. However, does get a little bit dry. As this is a steakhouse, I did regret not getting an actual steak. We ended up getting the caviar bites and the scallops. The scallops were a bit salty. I think we just got the wrong items. Next time we want to come back and get the highly regarded steaks.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to grab a late lunch here during Restaurant Week. I was blown away by the aesthetics of the restaurant. The space is in a renovated former downtown bank so it has huge vaulted ceilings and wine storage in a bank vault for an incredible ambiance. It's connected to the Westin hotel so on occasion you'd randomly have people running through the restaurant. To kick things off, we started with an extra dirty gin martini and the $26 1884 high roller cocktail that contained a variety of spirits and gold flakes. The restaurant wasn't busy at the time so we were surprised how long it took for our cocktails to come so we had to inquire with the waiter. I think our drinks weren't entered in or forgotten at first because we saw the bartender making them after we asked. We really enjoyed both our cocktails once we received them. Afterwards, we started with the burrata and Caesar salad. The burrata was delightful but the Caesar salad was very basic. I think adding anchovies to the Caesar and maybe grilling the toast that came with the burrata instead of the tough crostini would elevate these dishes. We both enjoyed our burger and steak sandwich entrees which were very flavorful dishes with perfectly seasoned fries. The Mac and cheese side was tasty but the large rigatoni noodles were too unique for my taste. Despite the faux-pax with our cocktails, our server was very attentive throughout our visit. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential with it's unique ambiance and delicious entrees but being that they just opened I think there are some details which could be worked through to make this restaurant phenomenal and 5 star.

Yelp
Ended Restaurant Week on Sunday at Stock and Bond for date night. This new steakhouse and whiskey bar is located in downtown Minneapolis. Restaurant week lets you try a multi course meal at a great price. We had three courses for $50. My husband and I both tried the Caesar salad. I had the Steak Frites and he had the Sage & Shallot Roasted Chicken for our main courses. For dessert I had Cheesecake and he had an Ice Cream Sundae. We also had a side of Mac & Cheese and to drink a Flightless Bird. The service, ambiance, and food were all top tier. This was the perfect way to end our weekend.

Yelp
We tried out Stock and Bond last night and had an overall wonderful experience. The ambiance and vibe of the restaurant was incredible - high vaulted ceilings, low mood lighting, smooth jazz in the background, a deconstructed vault door as the entrance to the wine cellar. All of the waitstaff and managers were similarly incredibly kind and attentive. They paid particularly close attention to the food allergies a member of my party had, ensuring no cross contamination of her dishes. Now onto the food. We all started with the arugula and frisée salad which was large and very tasty. It could have done with possibly a bit more tartness from the dressing or salt, but was still very good. My filet was perfectly cooked and delightful, as were the whipped potatoes. The tips of the asparagus were a little over roasted for my liking but still very good. And the whiskey cocktails were all delicious. The pace of the meal did feel a bit slow (waiting a bit too long between courses for it to feel intentional), which I'm attributing to it being a new restaurant and hope that it should get better with time. For a nice steakhouse for a fancy dinner out or date night, I'd certainly recommend!

Yelp
LOVED THIS PLACE!!! If you're looking for an high end fancy fun date night, this is the place for you!! Food was incredible and creative, exceeding your typical high end steakhouse. Caviar tots were tasty, burrata was high end, and steak was so tender. Service was absolutely unmatched. The menu items were thoroughly explained, our water glasses always refilled, and the food that my friends and I shared was played for us!! 10/10 steakhouse!!

Yelp
What a fantastic place. Absolutely beautiful and that's cool, but let's talk the IMPORTANT stuff. Service was truly TOP NOTCH. And the food was well prepared and beautifully served. On top of that they accommodated my many food allergies with grace. Thankfully all was delicious

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
I had the most incredible meal and wine pairings while being so lucky to have the best server, David, who provided some of the best service I've ever had as the cherry on top. The restaurant is stunning. The vibes are second to none. The Wagyu with the béarnaise sauce (best I've ever had), salmon sticky rice, ahi tuna tartare, warm and buttery bread rolls, and savory asparagus were my favorites. The General Manager, Craig, and AGM, Joe, are created a truly special establishment and I'm confident this will be a favorite for decades to come. Check out the old vault in the hallway toward the restroom - this used to be a bank decades ago and I love how Minneapolis' history has been beautifully preserved and can continue to be enjoyed. Stock & Bond is truly the most premier steakhouse in Minneapolis and I'm so excited to come back soon. Thank you endlessly!

Yelp
From the incredible ambiance and attentive service to the one of a kind apps and cocktails, and of course the Heritage meats (!!!), we had so much fun trying this spot and getting a tour of the space! I'll be dreaming about the caviar tots for a very long time to come and am already planning another visit just to snack on some!! We also had the oysters which were delish, the short rib ravioli in red wine truffle sauce with mushrooms and parmigiano reggiano (I know!!!), and the seared diver scallops which came served on a bed of pomme puree, preserved lemon, and caper berries! We also did the New York Strip (perfect) and the most fantastic bread pudding I've ever had!!! Along with the phony Negroni and flightless bird NA cocktails which were also flavorful and perfect! The space is a renovated former downtown bank so the vibes and aesthetics are incredible, ambiance is seriously next level!! Everyone looks stunning in here the way the light hits, it's amazing and so romantic! They also have a variety of private event rooms for everything from corporate meetings to anniversary dinners or wedding welcome events! Highly recommend for drinks and bites or for a larger meal with friends!! We will be back!

Yelp
We visited for the first time during restaurant week. The value for money was good when compared to the regular prices. We had a couple cocktails to start and they were good but a little weak. The appetizer salads tasted great and were a generous portion. We also had the onion rings which were crispy and some of the best we've ever had. For entrees we got the steak frites and short rib ravioli. The ravioli was very good. Sauce was rich and decedent. Steak was cooked as ordered and fries were crispy but the quality of the steak was just ok, it was a little tough. We would agree as well with others that the steak and fries were a little to salty and that is coming from someone who likes salt. We tried the ice cream sundae and cheesecake for dessert, both of which were pretty basic. Tim was our server and he was good. He let us drink and eat at our own pace which we appreciated. The regular menu does seem a little expensive for a normal dinner but we would consider trying again on another restaurant week if the menu was different as the value for money was good. The vibes inside were nice. The decor, the music, the energy, etc, were top notch. To note a couple critiques,, while the stone tables are nice the lack of a table cloth meant the plates are sliding around constantly while eating. Additionally, the lack of a private restroom and having to exit the restaurant and use the hotel lobby restrooms which were not very tidy is a disappointment considering the price point. We parked on the street but they do offer valet parking on 6th street as well.

Yelp
We were in Minnesota on a Friday night, with a college football game, and Paul McCarthy in town, so to say downtown was packed under statement. We had been walking around to find somewhere have drinks before heading into St.Paul. Everywhere was packed. We peaked our head in here and we could see was also crowded, BUT we heard a gentleman voice, Craig telling us come on it! He was just so nice. We explained what we were doing, their bar seating was full, BUT Craig went out of his way and found us a table to use to partake in a few drinks! The level of customer service I've rarely experience. Big big shout out to Craig, think he was the manager, and we can see why! I will always be recommending my Minnesota folks to go here and anyone that travels this is a must go to. Although we didn't eat, the menu looks great, the ambiance is very fancy date like! The drinks were amazing. Also want to shout out Cassie, she as well was just a joy. Love seeing the staff so happy, it showed they love their jobs and care about their customers! Hope this shows that great customer service goes a long way! Kudos to these guys.

Yelp
We had the Steak and Eggs as well as the Hot Dish which is a newer item on the menu. Delicious food seasoned very nicely. The bernaise sauce with the Hot Dish was rich with a lemon taste that added a great zest to the dish. The coffee was hot and refilled regularly, and the apple juice was served in a beautiful crystal cup that normally holds expensive whiskey and $20 cocktails. It was hard not to stare around the room as it was beautiful and each glance drew our eyes to a new artistic piece of furniture and decoration. Everything came out hot and delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. This is absolutely a place I intend to return every day I am in town.

Yelp
From the decor of the restaurant to the service and food 10/10. Now the place has dim lighting which is cool gives a very calm relaxing vibe to it. Very spacious as well. The food is very good very flavorful.

Yelp
I had an incredible time at Stock & Bond. The food was outstanding every dish was flavorful, well crafted, and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive, with a great selection.

Chris K.

Yelp
Service is remarkable and very knowledgeable. Food is absolutely amazing. Had the pork chop and would definitely recommend. The appetizer of crispy salmon rice is not to be missed. The bourbon selection is quite remarkable and the liquor manager was knowledgeable and helpful. Ambiance is darker than I prefer but, the food offsets this minor complaint. If caught between options for dinner, ditch the others and head to S&B.

R W.

Yelp
I believe this is a new restaurant in Minneapolis, so we reserved an opportunity for a small group of colleagues to join for dinner for a fresh new experience. As you pull up, you take note of the statues outside the front doors. As we walked up we noticed that beautiful ceiling mural and dark lit ambiance. We were seated quickly and even noticed the wait staff lined up ready to serve the incoming dinner guests. Quite impressive! We were initially seated at a long table but decided to ask for another table so our group could easily share food and talk across the table easier. I was immediately impressed because they greeted us with a choice of entry beverages which includes sparkling water as an option over traditional water. We tried a mixture of appetizers (Burrata and Yellowfin Tuna Tartare) which were delicious and ordered various added drinks from wine to IPA drafts. The food and drinks were on spot along with delicious dinner rolls. Our group was in the mood to try a variety of steaks all the way from Filets, Prime Bone-in Ribeye, as well as Wagyu (with shrimp and lobster sides). We also ordered other sides to share from grilled asparagus, roasted mushrooms, and my favorite, glazed Brussels sprouts flavored with bacon. Normally, we would try dessert, but we had filled ourselves to the limit. The food was wonderful, and we saw the restaurant fill up quite quickly upon our arrival with diverse groups such as business gatherings, families celebrating birthdays, and romancing couples. I did feel the lighting was a bit too low to see the menus clearly but all in all, the restaurant seems built for a comfortable experience that has an inviting and warm appeal. There is even a wine room protected by a vault door that has an interesting story behind it. I highly recommend this restaurant for these seeking a memorable experience, and I hope to visit again soon.

Yelp
My partner and I decided to try Stock and Bond out during restaurant week. The ambiance is impeccable, as is the attentive serving staff, and the drink selection. We chose the restaurant week menu, and overall enjoyed but found some items to be a bit overseasoned, and not anything special with the price tag. The dinner rolls were perfect, but the steak tasted overwhelmingly salty. The cheesecake was decent, but not as good as the Oceannaire a block away. That is the only reason I docked a star!

Yelp
A great new restaurant in the glorious former BANK space, we were eager to give it a try, and the experience was very good. The humble bread and butter was a standout, really delicious, and our steaks were excellent. It feels like they are still getting their feet under themselves in the service department, with a few oddities, like missing oyster spoons, that will soon get resolved, I trust. With premium prices come expectations of a premium experience, and S&B are almost there. We'll be back.

Yelp
This restaurant is FANTASTIC!! Super high ceilings, distinct decor from floors to ceiling. Service was outstanding from beginning to end. We ordered a couple drinks and got into the menu. We ordered a filet and were then torn on the salmon and a short rib ravioli dish. Our server suggested we look at their signature pork chop. Facing a decision dilemma, we chose to order the pork chop AND ravioli with the filet. Our server suggested having the ravioli as a starter course. Now, it's a bit spendy to label it a starter, but it was excellent. We added prawns and Au Poivre sauce. Every bite was paradise. Again, service was attentive but not intrusive and dishes just 'disappeared' off our table. Note; the restaurant space has a banking history. There is a huge vintage walk in safe that they converted to a cellar. The restaurant is located at a Westin Hotel so huge bonus. We will travel here again to dine at Stock And Bond.

Yelp
A beautiful high end restaurant with what looked like an amazing Manhattan on the menu. I walked in and sat at the bar. There were 10 people in the bar and about 40 people in the restaurant. 3 bar tenders. I sat about 4 feet from one of the bar tenders who seemed to purposely ignore me. After being ignored for 15 mins I left. I had a wonderful meal and service at Murray's, a true Minneapolis institution. Good luck Stock and Bond because Snooty restaurants fail in Minneapolis. This one will be gone soon also. Since I was staying in the Westin and have platinum status, I ate breakfast the next day in the restaurant. Still. 15 mins for a cup of coffee with no cream that I had asked for. 5 mins for that. Once I was done 10 minutes to wait for the check. The food was over priced and only ok, and the service again sub par. Let's see what happens tonight. I will update my findings.... Dinner was perfect. What a difference in the service. I had fillet, Bernaise sauce, and asparagus. I now rate is 4 stars because of Alexander j. Thanks.

Yelp
Thinking of a steakhouse in the twin cities? Add stock and bond to your list. The atmosphere was elevated and rivaled most other steak houses in the cities that we frequent. Elevated design, a beautiful bar, and incredible lounge area to enjoy a cocktail or two after dinner. The service was top notch, we were waited on by Alex this evening and he made great recommendations while adjusting items to our palette. His wine recommendations were spot on and really elevated the dining experience. The caviar appetizer was a wonderful addition that we wouldn't have normally ordered but was definitely worth getting. The steak tartare was on par with other favorites of ours. We split the dry aged 18oz ribeye with three sides and still had plenty to take home at the end of the meal. Definitely adding it to our list of go to restaurants for special occasions or the Saturday date nights. Thanks for such an incredible experience!

Yelp
The food is amazing! Priced to make it special occasion only. Bill came to $300 for 2 people. Service was impeccable. The ambiance is stellar. They could provide a little light at the table though; very difficult to see the menu.

Yelp
Such an amazing place in Minneapolis. I CRAVE their whipped potatoes like.... changed the way I see mashed potatoes. The oysters are amazing. The dirty martini is perfectly balanced. Good wine list! I had a really good steak. Fabulous service. Such a cool space. I love the salmon rice cakes on the apps menu. Just 10/10. I have been a few times now and I am planning on hosting a major group event there because I think there is a really good quality of service, food and ambiance for the money (compared to other high end steakhouses.) Absolutely a favorite spot now in MN.

Yelp
Head to toe a gorgeous dining space--there are a variety of steaks, my personal favorite being the dry aged ribeye. and wonderfully paired wines. The manager was incredibly generous, and the staff was knowledgeable. From the hosts to the bartenders, everyone was incredibly welcoming! Would definitely return for a date night.

Yelp
Went to Stock and Bond for restaurant week. Honestly, they did not grasp the idea of Minneapolis Restaurant week. The value was certainly not there in comparison to other restaurants participating. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance and service are top notch. Dinner rolls are excellent. It is clearly a high end restaurant. However, we both got the steak, which was just about the poorest cut of meat I've had in the last 20 years - very tough and stringy. The steak was over salted and unevenly done - outside was well done and center was rare (asked for medium, so on average it was, but that is not how it should be cooked). The steak and really the whole restaurant week menu does not appear on their regular menu. Other high restaurants discount actual menu items for the week - Also went to Oceanaire and Baldamar during restaurant week and they give you $80-100 of off the menu items for $50. Stock and Bond created a very discounted menu for the promotion. I don't think what we received was worth $50. They also trick you into buying a bottle of water - we asked for plain/tap water and were charged $8 for a bottle. I would skip this - value is just not there. For the amount we paid, we could have gone to Texas Roadhouse 3 times and gotten much better steaks.
