"At the Deptford Bridge and New Cross Road end of the High Street, Stockton is owned by the same team behind Buster Mantis. While Buster Mantis has a casual feel, Stockton is fairly glossier, named after NBA player John Stockton. Styled as a café, kitchen, and late night cocktail bar, Stockton serves a good range of inventive cocktails, plus an regularly changing evening menu of small plates. Expect the likes of plump mussels with fiery ‘nduja tamed by crisp white wine; saltfish croquettes; or asparagus and peas with bright tomato relish, hazelnuts, and vegan prosciano shavings." - Jonathan Hatchman

The location and decoration of this place are great. However the food is average to not great. We had ordered the gnocchi, the tagliatelle and the nectarine salad. They were not very tasty and they were extremely small. Overpriced for the portions served. Hopefully they will improve as it seems to be one with great potential.

We'd been avoiding this place due to some initial bad experiences, overcooked food and grumpy servers, but I'm glad we gave it another go as it was the best breakfast I've eaten in years! Perfectly cooked eggs, homemade beans and all served piping hot. And a damned fine bloody Mary. Lucy had perfectly cooked eggs florentine. Next week I'm going back for the chicken bagel

Had the egg Royale, very nice, fantastic value for money. One issue was I tried to order and while the waitress with big lush hair was taking my order at the counter, a lady who is perhaps a supervisor told me to sit down and they'll come to my table. Fair enough I did. Waited 20 minutes and they came to my table and asked "are you ready to order?" Must be a joke because I was clearly at the counter 20minutes ago trying to order and you sat me back down. I'd recommend for the food but that service miscommunication needs addressing. Really annoying first thing in my morning.

Brunch was lovely. Had the corn fritters and the dish with purple tortillas. Good sunny spot for afternoon drinks.

Went for Sunday breakfast. Menu could have few more gluten free options, as only one is available which is porridge with fruits. I was happy with it and enjoyed my matcha. Service was attentive and friendly. They have good selection of cocktails and wine. Overall, lovely place to stay in local area.

Nice addition to Deptford High Street. Stopped in here for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. If looking for a quick bite to eat, I'd definitely stop by here. Soft music adds to the atmosphere and there is plenty of seating outside.

A welcome addition to Deptford High Street. Good wine list and snacks available. Superb hummus too! Some of the food and drinks were slightly pricey for the area. @paulfoodie

Popped in for brunch on a Saturday and was greeted by a fabulous establishment and equally warm welcome. Space was clean and well furnished with excellent vibe and tunes over the speakers. Flat white was great and almond croissant (£3.5) was tasty though a little dry in places. The peanut butter brownie was a little piece of joy and sensation and honestly difficult to not order another. Main event was the breakfast bap (£5.5) which will definitely have me returning for. Amazingly tasty with lots of tasty layers to enjoy rounded off by the deliciously sweet onion chutney at the bottom. Wonderfully gooey too! Booze in on offer but not tried today. Bloody Mary is £8 Will return!
