Great food, and very good music! The staff are very nice and polite. We had the tofu wings as the first dish and the Buddha bowl (vegan) and the chicken sandwich as main. Everything was very tasty. And the wood and stone design is also very pretty.

I had a great time at the Stone House Tavern Our waitress Maria made us feel like family and have so many great recommendations tey even sang Happy Birthday for me on my day the dessert was amazing thank you again for the great experience

This place is a pleasant surprise if you’re in the area. It’s definitely worth stopping in. The specialty drinks are amazing and the menu has a little something for everyone. My son said they had the best wings he ever ate. The pot roast was outstanding and the burger was perfect. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. It’s not a huge place but I suspect it can get busy so you may want to make a reservation if you have a group.

Wonderful night out is a cozy restaurant with excellent food! Particularly enjoyed the butternut squash bisque!

I stumbled upon this charming tavern in Accord, NY, after a hike in Minnewaska State Park, and it turned out to be a delightful find. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The interior is tastefully decorated, and the entire restaurant is spotlessly clean. Upon entering, you're greeted by a well-stocked bar offering a variety of drinks and cocktails. It was clear that this place is popular with locals, as the bar area was lively and inviting. For our meal, we tried the shredded beef brisket sandwich, which was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and flavorful. The Caesar salad was a refreshing complement to the sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. However, the standout dish for me was the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich—it was simply outstanding. One of the things that stood out was that all the food was made to order, ensuring freshness. I loved the overall vibe of the place, and the food was top-notch. I would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Great food, pricey menu, friendly but slow service. If you're not on a time crunch, this is a great place to eat. Both my husband and I had the Stone House Burger, and it was awesome. (But for a $21 burger, it should be a religious experience.) This was an actual, handmade thick patty that was done right, juicy and delicious. And even better, it was served on an actual roll that didn't disintegrate around a juicy burger, so very impressed. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet, but her manager had her waiting too many tables, causing the service to be lacking to no fault of her own. Plus, the bartender had bottle beer on the menu he didn't know about and had to go on a hunt for, then couldn't locate. Someone dropped the ball on liquor inventory and training. Sounds like this restaurant has a Manager issue that needs addressing. Kudos to the chef, though. Nailed it!

This place is a 10 in every aspect. Owners 10 Staff 10 Food 10+ House salad, Pot Roast and a Roasted Strawberry Cheesecake. All next level.

Highly recommend. The owners are passionate about this establishment and it shows. We camped on their lot (Harvest Host) and had a blast. The outdoor seating and the cozy inside are top notch. The food and drink were delicious and a great value. We look forward to our return!

So glad we found this place! Wanted to find a place that wasn't too far for date night -- and Stone House had a warm and welcoming environment with delicious food. We shared the crispy brussels sprouts as our appetizer, with the aioli but without the peppers. They were excellent -- the sriracha really gave the aioli a pop but didn't make the sprouts too spicy. The serving is very big; we didn't end up finishing them. So would recommend those for more than two people to share. My partner got the pasta bolognese and really enjoyed it. I got the NY strip steak, which was cooked in an au poivre sauce and came with whipped potatoes and string beans. I also requested a side of the horseradish sauce that I'd peeped as part of the steak sandwich -- and HIGHLY recommend adding that in to any beef you order! I was able to finish the steak, but the potatoes and beans were too much. It was all excellent, though! Definitely plan to return -- shout out to our wonderful server, Matthew!

Needed a bite after hiking and ended up at Stone House - what a find! Their carrot soup blew me away (and I'm pretty picky about soup). Great drink deals too. The place just has this really comfortable vibe, like you could sit there for hours. The food was fantastic, and the whole place felt so welcoming. Can't wait to come back when I'm around here again.

Just passing by and needed a place to grab lunch so we stopped by here. Excellent! Reeca was our waitress and she was terrific. She never stopped serving everyone. And a wonderful demeanor! Food was excellent. The blueberry bbq wings are crazy delicious. Steak sandwich & burger were also great. No complaints. Wish the dinner menu had a few more choices for main entrees. Definitely recommend

Last weekend, my family and I visited Kerhonkson, and we stumbled upon the charming Stone House Tavern. Upon entering, we immediately felt super cozy. The Christmas decor was so cute, reminded me of a hallmark movie! They were pretty busy and almost every table was taken, but the hostess was so nice and was able to accommodate our party of 6. The inviting ambiance set the tone, matching the exceptional service. The food was equally delightful. My sister and I both had the bolognese, which was delicious!! We ordered the small, and it was perfect. The portions were very generous. My boyfriend, opted for the meatloaf and devoured it instantly. Every aspect, from the friendly service to the delectable dishes, made for a memorable evening. I will definitely revisit when I'm in the area again!

The hostess was absolutely lovely!! Super friendly, warm, and welcoming!! My cucumber basil cocktail was perfection!! The eggplant croquettes were mostly breading and bland. I didn't even taste any eggplant. The shrimp taco appetizer was tasty-but a bit skimpy on the shrimp. I ordered a special burger with pork belly and onion " jam" Pork belly was not served on the burger, instead it was a huge chunk served in the side. Why? It's mentioned as a burger topper. The onion jam? Nope. It was not anything close to an onion jam. Just some crudely sliced, slimy red onion with no flavor at all. The burger was ordered medium rare, but wasn't particularly juicy. Service was excellent. Food was pretty disappointing. I wouldn't go back. Too bad, because the service was great.

Food was delicious the service was great our sever was very friendly they were busy because it customer appreciation day . We were not taking part in the food they were serving for that we ordered our own meals I highly recommend giving them a try I never took any pictures of our food but did take picture of inside.

Stopped in to this place and was super glad we did. The staff were friendly the food was fresh. So fresh a chicken walked past our window. Beef Barley soup was delicious and the Brussels sprouts were great. Carrot cake was a great different. Go have a great meal tell them Laurie sent you. Bathroom clean.

Place was pretty packed. Food was decent and filling. Got these Poached Pear Salad, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, Fried Chicken Sliders and side of Mac and Cheese.

This place definitely did not disappoint. Very friendly staff with a homey feel. Spacious indoor dining area. We felt very safe being away from other customers. Everything we ordered here was pretty good. What really stood out was the crispy Brussels sprouts. Very crispy with loads of flavor. The buttermilk fried chicken sandwich was excellent as well. The chicken was super crispy and went very well with the avocado and the buttery bread. What we didn't like as much was the Buffalo wings. That was just very average and a bit on the dryer side and the rice on the pan seared salmon was a bit hard. They have a few good beer on draft. The sloop juice bomb IPA was excellent. Our server, think his name was Luke was great. Overall a good spot. Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area!

Confession - we still are just doing takeout. (Yeah, yeah, Covid started 3 years ago - but despite such caution, we got it for the first time last month, so...). So we VERY much appreciate the restaurants that offer their specials as takeout during the twice-yearly Hudson Valley Restaurant "week" (really 2 weeks). Stone House has had amazing, even extraordinary specials, both veg and non-veg. Given how over the top we've been about the quality of the food and the friendliness when we call, we should have gone over the mountain to get their Thanksgiving takeout...maybe in the future. We almost returned a second time for their olive oil cake, and we should return to try their regular menus - but do make the effort to go during HVRW in March and November. Your taste buds will thank you!

I highly recommend this great neighborhood spot. My husband is picky and its hard to get him to try new things, so he always goes somewhere and orders wings(lol). Happy to report the ones here made the top of his list. The house salad, lets just say I can eat it every day, its delicious. The show stopper for me was the salmon burger, every where u go they do a Wasabi sauce, but here, its a flavor punch in the mouth, so frickin good!!!! I couldve eaten another one with no problem in one sitting good beer selection, I cant wait to go back ans try something else

Stone House Tavern is my favorite place to go for great food. We have had many of the entrees and found every one of them to be delicious. The waitstaff is top-notch and the owners are gracious and attentive. We love the hill for relaxing evenings with music. We love dining inside the restaurant in the colder months. We often choose Stone House Tavern as our place to treat family and friends to a great meal in a wonderful setting.

I'm local but have brought guests to Stone House twice. The food both times was underwhelming. The pork belly on the Stone House Burger was quite bad. The beef brisket sandwich had little spice. Given the crowd size, the wait for entrees was unexpectedly long. Normally I would just move on and not return, but in this case I'll share a bit of the experience I had one one occasions which prompts this review. A companion on one visit was accosted and insulted by a drunken cook who was throwin' 'em back at the bar and apparently couldn't keep a civil tongue around a pretty young woman. Forget me ever coming here again, I'm actively encouraging anyone who asks to skip this place and go literally anywhere else.

Based on two visits, one lunch time, one early evening...... Three words....very very good . Ambiance, food, staff, service and any other thing you can relate to a dining experience.....outstanding . I shall return

First things first, Tina is absolutely incredible. She is an absolute sweetheart, felt like a friend, and was professional. However, I feel bad such a wonderful server had to deal with the BS of the kitchen and the excuses they gave us. We ordered calamari for $16 and received 6 pieces, 3 each for a table of 2, that wasn't anything special. We asked if this was normal and who we assume was the manager said it was because of weight and inflation of everything going up. 2 options - if you can't afford to serve, say it's no longer available or 2nd warn customers it'll be smaller sized. The woman manager or owner we dealt with was less than nice and to be honest shouldn't be in customer service. Tina, this has absolutely nothing to do with you and hope the Restaurant turns it around.

Stone House Tavern does it Right! Saturday May 7th Our party of 4 tried a local family place on 209 near Stone Ridge. The place was too busy so we called The Stone House Tavern and took our reservation right away. We were 15 mins away and arrived a little bit early but they sat us down fast. First we ordered chicken wings. Great wings, cooked tender. I ordered a Burgher medium rare and it came out perfect. The rest of our party also had great dinners. I loved the place, so inviting, the staff was professional and kind. Clean as anything I have ever seen even though it Was busy. We will come back to try the other delights on the menu. Stone House Tavern does it Right!

Came down to hike Red Hill Firetower. Stopped on the way home for lunch. Absolutely delicious. Recommend the specials. I had the carrot-ginger soup and the brisket sandwich. Hiking partner had the Salmon Burger - everything was outstanding. Iced tea was tasty. Allegash on tap was the Cherry on top! Would definitely stop again.

One of the worst burgers I've ever been served in my entire life. $17 for a greasy bland and disgusting pile of crap that was obviously frozen and not made fresh. Don't waste your time or money.

Stumbled upon this place after looking for a meal after a hike. Their outdoor setup is adorable! It's a separate area up a small hill behind the main restaurant. There's different tents and tables set up, and even a few fire pits! Also pet friendly! For appetizers we got the pork belly and mixed greens salad. The pork belly was a bit dry, but the blueberry sauce on top was a unique taste and the perfect amount of sweet and savory. For entrees, we got the garlic steak sandwich and the half chicken, which was a special for the day. Both really good and hearty! The steak was a bit over cooked though. Only con was their cocktails tasted more like juice than anything, but the hospitality was amazing and though we were seated outdoors, we were constantly checked up on to ensure we had everything we needed.

You guys deserve 10! Food is great, people are amazing and super friendly and the actual place, specifically outside is stunning! We definitely coming back and will recommend this place to our friends! PS: you can bring your dog with you and play with him outside

We got a cabin all the way out here for a weekend getaway. We were driving around looking for a place to eat and saw this one. The aesthetics seemed cool so we agreed to choose this spot. We are so lucky we did because it was a hidden gem! The pork belly bao appetizers were absolutely delicious. I got the garlic steak sandwich which was literally one of the entrees I've had in a while. I even took it for leftovers since I couldn't finish and it was still delicious. My boyfriend got the wings because the waitress said it was a house made Buffalo sauce. He found it so delicious and it came with a bleu cheese dressing on the side which is his favorite. Literally we got to sit next to the fireplace and it was such a chill spot to eat at. The waitress was also super helpful and friendly so very much an added bonus.

We've gone here regularly in the past three years we've lived in the area. There aren't a ton of options, so despite the fact the food is very hit or miss, we return and try to find something that's consistently good. The staff are nice in person. However, after they excitedly posted not one, but two, pictures of a confederate flag hanging from their ceiling for a video shoot last night, we will not be returning. Like most places up here, their clientele is primarily white. As someone who is not white, it can already be uncomfortable going into local places when you don't look like everyone else. When a business posts a racist symbol multiple times that could've easily been cropped out, it's not somewhere I'll ever go back to. Even after politely pointing it out to them, no response. So that, on top of the fact that everything from the dessert to the pot roast to the sandwiches have been inedible multiple times at higher prices than most comparable places around here, means we'll keep looking for other spots to spend our money that meet the apparently elusive standard of decent food and not promoting racism.

M'y sister and I came hère one night while we were staying nearby. Not being in a major city and having dietary restrictions, I was shocked to see a vegetarian and vegan section. We are outside on wine Wednesday, which has amazing deals, and had a wonderful dinner by the fire. Our server even introduced us to the owners who were the nicest people we have ever met. Everything about our experience was amazing! Our server was wonderful! I am blessed to have been able to socially distance and eat a wonderful meal during COVID-19 as well in a beautiful outdoor area. Will be back!

Fantastic dining experience! My husband and I are traveling in our motorhome, staying at a local campground. We decided tonight, to dine locally. We made a wonderful choice, by going to the Stone House Tavern. Food was excellent! Waitstaff was exceptional! We ate inside, but realized once we were there, outside dining would have worked, just as nicely. . Well lite and nicely warmed by several heaters. We discovered while we were there, that they are also a member of "Harvest Hosts". We will most definitely return, when traveling again, in this area. Thank you, Stone House Tavern!

My fiance and I happened upon this restaurant in search of a nice dinner for our weekend away in the area. Well, 5 stars may not be enough. The food was simply amazing and extremely well prepared. We both ended up ordering specials on the menu, the appetizer - an eggplant croquette on fresh plum tomato sauce and a nice portion of homemade ricotta cheese that had a hint of lemon, so fresh and amazing. I wish I could taken a tub of the ricotta cheese home. We could have eaten this dish all night. My fiance ordered their linguine with clam sauce that was extremely delicious but the star of the night was my duck breast in a sauce that was so yummy, the duck was cooked to perfection and it was served with a side of sauteed greens (yum) and a farro pilaf (also very yum). For the ending we had the flourless chocolate cake, again very good. Service was outstanding and the place clean and well distanced in this time of covid, we felt very safe there and extremely satisfied with out experience.

Stoped here after a wake in New Paltz. Loved the cool atmosphere Great Indoor dining like you are in a cool lodge, Great Outdoor seating to eat and drink. Good local brewery beer selection, unique menu of cool bar food , 1/2 star deduction for not matching beer choices to food but that could be on each customer choice too but just going by local beer names a heavier beer goes better with chicken then brisket. Even though Miriam the waitress was very busy she took the time to talk to everyone which is cool. Had to take the other 1/2 star off for the price, but I understand to get food supplied to the middle of nowhere and the atmosphere can cost money. Would be a great place to do weekend biker runs. Would love to see this place with a row oh Harleys our front!

The service at the Stone House Tavern was impeccable, fast, and reliable. The food was excellent accompanied by a healthy menu and an overall cozy vibe. Would definitely recommend to anyone that happens to be in the area.

We decided to dine outside since there was really good live music happening. (The Rivergrass Band). We had a lovely table with a table top fire feature. We loved it. The service and our food was great! We tried the mussels, the scallop dish, the Buddha bowl and a burger - all so yummy! Plus, delicious desserts. We'll be back!

Honestly not sure how this place has such good reviews? Came in and it smelled off but figured whatever. Sat down put in apps and drinks. Apps were OK. We ordered some diet sodas and we took one sip and it literally tasted like sewer water. It was one of the worst things I ever tasted. We called the waiter over and he said he knew about some kind of sulfur issue? Took them back and gave us sodas from a bottle but we were pretty grossed out. The pulled brisket sandwiches were flavorless and dry. Was really disappointed because the Instagram looks great and reviews mostly great. I'm surprised no one is sick from whatever they are serving from the tap.

Wow! I'm sorry I don't live too close or this would be my regular hang. The food here is absolutely fabulous. My husband got the Stone House Salad that I can honestly say was the best salad I've ever tasted. My scallops were perfection and my son's post roast was devoured (and he normally doesn't eat red meat). The carrot cake was also the best we've had. Just go here.

When we travel, we attempt to try as many new places as possible, but the lunch we had here was so good that we went back for dinner that same day! You have your choice of nicely spaced indoor seating at tables or at the bar, or a great set of outdoor tables up on the hill. Delicious cocktails with house-made syrups and bitters, and a terrific menu with way too many wonderful choices. Extremely friendly staff and owners--thank you, Linda, Jon, and Jill, for two spectacular meals. We will DEFINITELY be back again next time we're in the area!

One of my new favorite places. The food and the people are outstanding to say the least. The atmosphere is really comfortable with extra safe bar and dining areas. Their stellar service standards start with the ownership and religiously put into practice by any staff you'll encounter. My favorite item is the eggplant croquettes but also love anything that includes the pork belly. I also recommend the shrimp tacos (which is a main menu item) but have special varieties on Tuesdays. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Stop in and give it a try. If you do, look for the blackboard that usually has a piece of inspiration.

Got a very tasty dinner for pickup here on Christmas Eve! The cocktails were great, and food was fantastic. Huge portions too, we definitely had lots of leftovers the next day. Everyone was friendly and respectful of wearing masks and keeping distance. Greatly appreciated. Cant wait to visit again.
