Had the avocado smash with two eggs for breakfast which was decent. It could have used a little bit more flavor, but the salt was available to add. The two eggs did not have runny yolk but still nice. The yogurt bowl was probably better overall than the avocado smash. Overall I think a 4 ⭐ for food. This was 9am on a July Sunday so the cafe was empty. There were a total of half a dozen guests that came in for takeout, but I was the only dine in guest, which was kind of nice for some quiet 😄

A cozy spot with plenty of seating inside, but can also get busy. Winter monk bowl is flavorful and filling (also added whitefish salad on the side which was great). The winter chili has a bit of heat to it, but the pumpkin cornbread that comes on top was cold and they forgot to add the labneh. Coffee is good.

Pretty average cafe experience, employees were attentive to their jobs and very efficient. The food and drinks came out very quickly and the atmosphere is super nice. Cute cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of items on the menu. The Bundt cake was a little dry, but I can see it being incredible at its peak freshness. The coffee and tea is average, can’t really go wrong there. The smashed avocado (add egg) is yummy and seemingly pretty healthy! Overnight oats were giving hospital good vibes but that’s fine, still edible.

Australians are getting a reputation as coffee snobs and this place made a coffee that is up to the right standard ! Hot but not scalding . Milk bit overheated . Place is clean and staff are charming . Not a huge selection of food. Only really cakes and cookies . Easy to miss this place it's the orange brick building on the corner opposite "Liquors" .

Surprisingly affordable millennial healthy filling fare. Great vibes with a garden and plant shop in the back. We went for the avocado toast but really the monk bowl is what sold us. Really cool veggie hibiscus meat alternative with filling plantains and rice. Definitely a weekend morning spot.

Everything here, from the pastries to coffee/tea beverages, is high-quality. Most of the kitchen-prepared goods are overpriced, but everything is tasty! Great open space to hang out, read, study, or chat with friends.

Wow! Stonefruit is SUCH a cute coffee shop!! It has such a great chill and calm feel to it. They have lots of different seating options and a solid menu. You can find any coffee you'd want or a few fun pastries in addition to some cafe bites. The barista was very nice and friendly. They have a cute bookshelf in the back if you need something to read while you sip your coffee. They also have lots of cute local craft products that you can shop towards the back. Such a great vibe and can't wait to come back!

Food is esthetically pleasing and taste good, but not sanitary and they hold up the corner with so much seating that it invites all these homeless people over night, you can really feel their presence the next day, and people are cluelessly eating over the filth also iim pointing out on the photos, its clear 90% of the people dont see it. my coworker had food poisoning

I love their vanilla lavender lattes and the egg sammy is really delicious- the pickled red onion absolutely makes the sandwich. Baristas and servers are polite and efficient, and it's a cozy spot to meet a friend or sit and read or write for a bit.

Super busy on a weekday morning! Everyone in this area is working here and there's barely any seats inside besides the front because it's not as laptop friendly- but I love coffee tables so that wasn't an issue. I love the vibe of the place and everything is local. There are also fresh flowers as there's a botanicals section connected to the coffee and kitchen! The winter grain bowl was super tasty and they serve one of my favorite tea brands. Service was you serve yourself- you have to get up to grab your food and your utensils and also to get anything you possibly need. This place is more of a coffee shop than a cafe type place but I'm grateful for the matching ceramic bowls and coffee mugs!

Service is great, beautiful space but drinks aren't good and are expensive. Food is even more overpriced somehow. I'm here all the time cuz I live down the street but every time I go, I end up spending so much just to be disappointed with what I got even if the interior is beautiful and there's nice outdoor seating.

Adorable cafe with thoughtful shabby chic touches as far as the eye can see. Would love to try their pretty pastries. The dandelion root latte was very interesting. Not for the coffee devotee but interesting nonetheless. Next up rose water lavender latte.

Bedford-Stuyvesant is slowly becoming gentrified. It hasn't reached Williamsburg level thankfully. Stonefruit is one of these newer cafes that seem to be out of place among the crack and hookers that most people associate this neighborhood with. Coffee is the main beverage. The food menu has lots for vegans. Cafe inside is bigger than it appears. It has a cozy feeling. There's a few tables inside that can fit a large group. Everyone wants coffee. You can certainly get coffee here. It's $2 for a cup of drip coffee. They also have lots of the fancy more expensive espresso with the whipped cream and that crazy stuff. Also they have some food. The most popular item is the Avocado Smash. It's about $8 for a piece of toast loaded with avocado. This also has a pile of sprouts. It seems to always be busy, because hipsters have to eat. Seems like a good place for chilling with something to read. The mornings are crazy busy but they also have good stuff at lunch too.

One of my go-to spots in the area to get some work done and enjoy the incredible selection of pastries + craft coffees. The quality of the drinks are always 10/10 - they never miss. The interiors are also so beautiful and the baristas are very kind! Will continue to be frequenting here :-)

So sorry to have to do this but this was the worst meal I've had in a really really long time. The flavors don't pair well together and I thought it would be fresh pineapple not canned. Cute shop but this should be taken off the menu.

Very nice spot with a wide selection of offerings, from coffee and tea drinks, pastries, breakfast items, to retail goods like candles and even plants. The shop is airy with lots of natural light, and has several tables outside - I ate in straight up 37 degrees, but it was a quick meal and I was bundled up so it wasn't too bad. The service is prompt but not overly friendly. I ordered the yogurt bowl and it was awesome! It had pears, freeze dried strawberries, blackberries, and orange slices and was such a delicious and unique bowl that I'd absolutely return for. I love when places have yogurt parfaits that aren't your usual combo of fruits. I also had a hot apple cider here that really hit the spot. Lastly, I got a pumpkin loaf - loved the frosting part of it, but the loaf itself was just okay. I'll definitely look forward to coming back.

Close your eyes and imagine a hipster haven...you just pictured Stonefruit Espresso. It was charming to see two women set up their watercolors to paint over some afternoon coffee that day. The hanging lights, white brick, and greenery create such a comfortable ambience. Unlike most New York cafes, it's pretty spacious - be sure to check out the room tucked away in the back. They offer a selection of coffee based drinks and small eats ie pastries, soups, salads, and other earthy meals. I gave the broccoli cheddar soup of the day a try, and I really loved it. The drinks can get pretty creative too, and I'm hoping to try the dandelion latte next time. I had such a pleasant afternoon at Stonefruit Espresso. I only hesitate to advertise this cafe, because I want this Bed-Stuy gem to myself... :)

Pros: - One of my go-to cafes in Bed-Stuy- super cute decor with lots of exposed wood, colorful pillows, and plants throughout the space. I recommend the solid lattes and Avocado Smash with egg. My friend really liked her Green Salad - Wide selection of healthy plants and beautiful unique pots and plant baskets. I've looked extensively in New York for elegant planters, and Stonefruit is one of the best stores. Cons: - Steep hipster prices - one slice of toast with Avocado & egg = ~$12. Small handmade ceramic plant pots can go as high as $120! Be prepared to splurge here on all foods and goods. - While all the cakes look delectable and instagram-worthy, some of them are on the drier side and do not taste as fresh as they look Tip: - Make sure to get the loyalty card- buy 10 get 1 free - Stonefruit is getting more and more popular and can pretty packed on weekends, be prepared to wait to order and for available seating

The coffee is great. And pasties. The baristas are sometimes short and rude. The only one I find even remotely friendly is the fairly new one with reddish hair. The rest seem uptight and unwelcoming.

I would have given this place a 5 star. First of all, the atmosphere is great. And they had a monk bowl that was life-changing - a gift from the vegan Gods. Literally the best bowl in Brooklyn and also the best bowl I've ever consumed in my life. For whatever reason they decided to remove the bowl from the menu and then added a new bowl with literally just rice and beans and some diced tomatoes and then added it to the menu calling it "the monk" bowl. So you understand: They changed the entire bowl but kept it the same name? How in God's name is that ethical? What if I was allergic to the new ingredients? Imagine going to store and consistently buying a "house special cappucino" but then all of a sudden... they change how they define the term and now it's a matcha latte. Well, wtf. A new menu item deserves a new bowl. Also even if keeping the old name was okay, the new cuban dish makes no sense with the title "Monk Bowl" as it's not a European/Rome dish at all and quite frankly has nothing to do with Monks at all.

Nice environment but the order is messed up. I asked for Egg Sammy, after paid and wait for 15 minutes the waiter told me I need to pay for extra toppings on the Egg Sammy, but I've never been told when I ordered this meal at the beginning. There's confirmation and no following up questions for customers.

Stonefruit feels like an LA transplant who moved to Bedstuy and only brought a fern and a tumeric latte with them. This wildly popular spot serves tasty vegetarian food, has vegan treats, an expansive hot drink selection and a lot of seating if you include the long table in the florist area in the back. Yep they have a plant shop. It is sort of a co-working space during the day. I jest about the aesthetic but they know who they are and who their customer is. You will find a lot of Pratt students, designers and fashionable ladies here. They are proudly Inclusive about there staff and customers. I believe you can tell a lot about a cafe by two things: the state of its bathroom and the vibe of the staff. Their bathrooms (there are two) are charmingly curated with plants and repurposed materials. I appreciate that level commitment to their aesthetic. The staff is friendly enough, ready to engage if you are or happy to talk among themselves if you let them. The person who works the plant store typically is a bit more disgruntled for some reason. Perhaps being isolated from the more communal vibe of the cafe in front is a downer. Unfortunately they close about 30min too early during the week. The WiFi is also a downer. They have two wifi channels but both are spotty. Also, avoid this place during surprise Summer rains, it gets crushed. I highly recommend the monk bowl and the avocado toast with an egg whether you are hungry or just there to Instagram something.

Love this place! Super cool and big space in the back to hang out. It's actually a plant/flower shop back there. Very cool. Probably my favorite coffee shop in Clinton Hill for a big space if you need to meet say more than 1 person. Up front, is where the action goes on. Less space but still nice. Staff are nice and friendly. And the food all looks so good. Can't wait to come back and try something different!

Super cute interior with the plants in the back room, but the lattes were just okay. I ordered the lavender vanilla latte and while I could taste a little bit of the lavender it felt more like a last minute addition and less like a harmonious complement to the espresso. The milk was a bit too foamy (felt more like a cappuccino than a latte), and there was no latte art if that's something you look for. The service was excellent and they had samples of the gf brownie at the counter (pretty good!) Overall, love the ambience but the latte itself was nothing special

The food is tasty. The staff is nice. The one star is for the communal cup that has all the silverware touching which kind of skeeves me out because bacteria spreads and everyone who eats there touches the same silverware in that one cup! I don't know where those street hands have been. I'm sure the employees wash their hands though, it's just people coming in and touching money, pets, their shoes...etc. but if you eat with your hands then I guess it's ok!

Came in on a Monday afternoon with two other girlfriends. We all ordered the monk bowl -- two of the orders didn't come out after 20+ min, yet the first was ready within 5. Our order just got lost? We also ordered two iced dirty chai lattes, both of which were underwhelming, to put it nicely. We ended up having to wait 30+ minutes for our dishes to come out, and our friend was done with her food by the time ours was ready. The monk bowl was bland. Other than the disappointing drinks/food and order mishap, the vibe is cute. Do not plan on coming again.

I'm a sucker for farm to table!! I can't help myself. It's like music to my ears. Maybe I sound like a food snob but the restaurants passion for the freshest ingredients makes my heart melt. When I heard about Stonefruit Espresso + Kitchen I knew I was adding it to my to do list. And it's a quick bus ride from Bushwick. I felt like walking it on Sunday. It was gorgeous out. It also helps to build a little hunger. I was thrilled when I finally arrived. Everything looked so fresh and homemade. The counter was covered in some gorgeous baked goods. The chocolate cake with edible forget me nots appeared to be the perfect summer birthday cake! But today I wanted a little something caffeinated, a little something veggie and a little something sweet. I got my usual Cortado. The lady after me saw it and had to have one, I guess she has never even heard of a Cortado before. For my meal... this was tough because everything was veggie and gluten free options so I had to try to narrow it down. The register clerk was super helpful. He (long reddish hair, didn't catch his name) told me the most popular was the avocado toast and the monk bowl. His favorite however, are the smoked carrot sandwich and the spring greens bowl. I was actually drawn to both so I decided on the carrot sandwich and would return for the spring greens a different day. I also had to pick a tiny, little rose bundt. As my food was being prepared, I peeked at the plant shop in the backroom. I perused the handcrafted pottery. I spotted many little plastic dinos or hippo hiding amongst the plants. They have mini succulents for $20, candles and tiny chocolate bars. And they even had a COFFEE CARD! After your 9th peach punch out, you're next drink is on the house! The "Smoked Carrot Sandwich" is a work of art! It's undoubtedly a play on smoked salmon. The color and texture is mimicked with carrot. Then there's the traditional fresh dill, capers, radish, red onion and horseradish cream sauce on locally made bread from SheWolf. I love horseradish and am always looking for new veggie ways to devour it. My meal was ended with my cardamom, chocolate, crumbly bundt and my creamy strong coffee. All the tastebuds I wanted hit were dancing for joy. The clientele her is also über friendly. The girl one over commented how she liked that my outfit matched my carrot meal. It was a funny little afternoon. I'm putting this place in my rotation of good eats.

My daughter just moved into the neighborhood and I wanted to surprise her with a basket of local goodies. The reviews looked good so I chose my place and started shopping. Because I wanted items from various departments, I had trouble ordering online but after five calls and the most patient person ever I was able to put together the perfect welcome basket for her. The customer service was over the top and she was delighted with each and every item from the baked goods to the special grocery provisions. They were wrapped beautifully and made this new New York transplant full so welcomed in her new neighborhood. A special shout-out to Hailey who went above and beyond

So happy i decided to go a half hour out of the way to visit this little spot. I am a huge fan of farm to table, I have so much respect for restaurants like these. It is another level of appreciation, knowing that a place is using the healthiest and freshest and organic ingredients. You know damn well your meal is about to be BOMB AF (for lack of better words). When you walk inside, its like walking into a cute little rustic apartment with plenty of wooden tables and plants, cacti, and ferns beautifully placed throughout the cafe. I happened to sit in the front corner right by the big windows. This was a cozy little spot, covered in little blankets and rugs and trendy decorated pillows. The table had a mason jar filled with colored pencils and hanging on the wall were little baskets filled with adult coloring books! So cute and fun! The menu is handwritten in a little booklet right in front of the register... (although this may be a bit of a bother to some, it was cute and different in my opinion. The employees, behind the counter were friendly and informative. I ordered the avocado toast with a soft boiled egg and a rose mini bunt cake. The flavor was just right, not too sweet and not too tart and the pastry itself was crumbly yet soft and not overly sweet. The toast was delicious, it was a nice thick fluffy yet crisp piece of bread and the avocado was seasoned perfectly with a radish and sprinkled with dukkah; nuts and mixed spices. The soft boiled egg was perfect and the yolk was runny just the way i like it! My chai latte was strong, flavorful and hot! Made on the spot, unlike some other places I've been to where its lukewarm and tastes artificial. This place really is a spot for just about anyone, you could be coming in with a date, a group of friends, family, or like me, alone with a diary and a laptop ( i saw many people set up with a coffee and their macbook doing some work and enjoying the chill ambience this wonderful spot has to offer) this place knows how to accommodate everyone. The only downside would be that it is small, and does get crowded rather quickly so grab a table as fast as you can! Otherwise you may have to wait a bit...however, it is 100% worth the wait. Don't miss out on Stonefruit! I will most definitely be returning to try more menu items and sweets! Overall it was a wonderful calming experience and I cannot wait to go back and bring some friends!

The barista (wish I had gotten her name) was lovely but it's not often that I feel this way about my service here so that's why the 4 stars instead of 5. Oh also, it's pricey. I think I paid like $16 for yogurt and a capp...but it's good stuff...quality stuff!

Yo, that avocado smash was delish. I can probably make it myself but I guarantee you it WILL not come out the same. But the price was eeeeeeeeh...yeah, it's tough forking over your card or cash to pay 11 something for a piece of toast and an extra two dollars for a boiled egg. This place is definitely pricey and as much as I am currently thinking about my next revisit, I may just have to wait it out until another random special occasion (of treating myself).

I ordered a chai latte and a banana muffin while my boyfriend got the smoked whitefish toast. The muffin and toast were both delicious, but I found the chai to be pretty watery, which was disappointing. The cafe itself is really cute with both a front room and back room decorated with plants. The WiFi seemed to not be working at first but once you get connected it was totally fine. Didn't see any outlets but the cafe was pretty packed on a Saturday afternoon so I might have missed them.

Came here to do some work over the weekend and really liked the energy of the place. I added the seasonal almond rose favor to my matcha latte and it was amazing. Their tomato red pepper soup of the day was very yummy too. I'm excited to come back and try more.

Literally the rudest and most stuck up employees I've ever met. Have not had one good interaction with them. They will most likely ignore you/pretend not to hear you when you order. Will also yell at you. Food/drinks are pretty good and ambiance is great but cannot go there anymore because the workers are so awful...

Super cute neighborhood spot to either grab brunch or set up shop to get work done! I dropped by because I'm lowkey addicted to caffeine and just needed a quick pick me up. I got the golden milk latte with oat milk as suggested by the awesome barista working that day (best decision ever!). It was around $5 and super delicious -- seriously so happy oat milk has become the newest thing in NYC. Anyways, the cafe itself is a pretty average size. I didn't spot any open tables when I visited (Thursday around 2PM) but there seemed to be outlets and wifi as people were on their laptops. Super friendly service and nice natural light coming through the windows. Definitely a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

Cozy coffee shop with Kinfolk-style decor, Edison bulb lighting, and adorable house plants. The chai latte was a bit weak and disappointing, but the cider and avocado toast with soft-boiled egg were both solid. The baristas are friendly and overall, it's a nice space for meeting friends or getting some work done. I came on a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty full, but I was still able to snag a seat. Soooo hipster! It is amazing the transformation that could take place from being outside the cafe to walking in. We all know the grim and grubby Bed-Stuy, and we also know how slowly the area is gentrifying and cafes/restaurants are popping up everywhere. While people are smoking crack only a few feet away, the moment you walk in to Stonefruit, you forget the grittiness of the outdoors. The decor suits the earthy farm to table vibe going on with plants everywhere and tables and chairs made from restored wood. In the backroom if I'm not mistaken they sell plants etc. Yes, the vibe is immensely chill. I came here for breakfast and ordered the Avocado Smash on Shewolf, White Fish on Shewolf and the Yogurt Pot. Also ordered a cappuccino and mocha. The employee taking my order was friendly and very understanding (because I was indecisive). Each dish had a world of flavor and you can taste the care going into make it. They use super fresh, healthy and organic ingredients. I am a total fan of the white fish toast, an absolute must get if you come here. The coffees were very very strong, some might say that's a good thing, but I feel like it could be a little less and it would be a beautiful 5 star coffee. You may be someone just coming for breakfast with friends or you may be someone looking for a chill place to work with your laptop or read book. Either way Stonefruit knows how to please em all. I'll definitely be back here sometime soon.

Cute & quaint espresso bar, a bit snug but so is New York. The Matcha Latte is my go-to. I add sugar to it because it's bitter on it's own. Request it extra hot! Staff is friendly & I had the Avocado Toast for brunch. Definitely great & they substitute nuts for sesame if you're intolerant like me. The bread is a bit tooo thick for the toast. Overall it's a great place to get some work done or meet a friend.

I cannot believe I hadn't written a review for this place yet since I used to go here daily. Even now that I live a little further away, Stonefruit is my go-to. And I want to recommend you go there, but I'm afraid you'll make it even busier! Not only does this place have good drinks, great food, and a cute interior, it's also a PLANT SHOP! You win me over if you have nice plants, so I guess that's why I don't mind when the weekend line is out the door. The staff are really kind- TJ is my favorite new guy. They have a TON of vegetarian and vegan options that are all fresh and unique. The avocado toast (with the egg) is my go-to but the monk bowl is also bomb. This place is Brooklyn AF, but is quality enough to back up the aesthetic. I rarely get avocado toast (because why buy it for 13 dollars when you can make it yourself at home) but being fresh off a red-eye flight I couldn't resist that freshness. I have to say, the avo toast here is pretty great, and it's got some interesting toppings on it that make it unique. Also, if you're not a coffee drinker (like me) but still want a little something warm, the chai here is pretty great. Nice and spicy and it'll make you feel all autumnal.

my top 2 coffee shops in Brooklyn. I grew up on Quincy St between Classon Av & Franklin Av and even lived at 1054 Bedford Av as a recent college graduate so I'm acutely award of gentrification, however, this place is well concepted and executed. It's not a "community giving" shop or somewhere I'd expect to learn about local or geo politics but it has good design, workers, objects for sale and a florist connected that you can sit and read or laptop ‍ from. go here whether you are a native or nomad.

So my friend kept raving about this place and I can def understand why . It's delish . I didn't have lunch here but I got the cinnamon roll which is vegan and gluten free I believe . They had a choice of mocha and regular . Next time I'm def getting the mocha . I took my cinnamon roll home and put it in the oven . It's just so good and it has like this toffee buttery goodness to it . I mean it's honestly better than a regular cinnamon roll . It's quite dense so you can actually share it or you can save a piece for later . I also got the Majorelle mint tea which was refreshing especially since I have a horrific cold . I'm glad I got out the house and came here . I will def be back for a nice lunch .

It was everything I wanted -- the whole package, from top to bottom, inside out. Every line, every curve, every bite, every sip, every swallow. And it was all mine. Bursts of paradise passion with every bite of the pomegranate-dressed oats. My heart was held captive, perched on a pedestal of rustic oats and fruit too fresh.
