"For lunch or dinner, seek out fine dining at the Stonehouse, where excellent choices include the Great Lakes platter, featuring fish fresh from the local waters, and the duck with wild rice." - Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki

Atmosphere was cozy and clean. Service was attentive and prompt. For example they offered to fill coffees and waters on regular basis. The bread was so delicious served with whipped butter (extremely nice touch). We had the house salad which was a very tasty strawberry and almond salad with vinaigrette. The only improvement for me would be goat cheese instead of mozzarella. The broiled whiteish was cooked perfectly and we ordered the vegetable of the day which very nice blend of cooked veggies (carrots, broccoli ,green beans) in an herbed butter. The coffee was very good as well. I wish we had saved room for dessert.

For takeout or dine in, the Stonehouse is one of my go to restaurants. Their gourmet salads, fries, and bread became my daily lunch when I was pregnant. The large portions make for an incredible value for the price, which honestly isn’t high whatsoever. You can get a gourmet salad here for the same price as a trip through fast food. When dining in, I always go for the chicken cordon bleu which is absolutely delicious.

1st and foremost -- an outstanding waitress. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to have a pro waiting on me. The atmosphere was just what you'd expect in a smaller town. A bar off to the side and then the main dining room. Nothing unpleasant -- just if you're looking for quiet candlelight you're in the wrong place. But the food was a cut above what you might be expecting. It was for me anyway. And the variety on the menu was really impressive. It's the busiest place in town and it's easy to see why. Having said that, I wasn't crazy about mine. It was a good meal. Nice ingredients, a good cut of meat and a unique flair to each dish. My taste and the chef's taste just didn't seem to agree. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again -- nor recommend it to you. I'm just trying to be honest. (Some folks in my life think it's a fault.)

When we got there at 5:05 just after it opened and it was already very busy, I knew it was going to be good. Menu was a mix of traditional dishes and unique recipes. Very delicious food. Salad (strawberry with greens) and bread to start was amazing. Service was excellent. Mary Ann was busy, but attentive and genuine. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant with amazing service and hospitality! Our server was quick, friendly and helpful. Ordered the build your own salad and it was full of fresh ingredients and came with delicious garlic toast! However, you have the choice of a muffin and I guess those are very good too!

The food was excellent. The service non existent. The table next to us was seated after us. Orders taken before us. Finished their food before we received our meal. I had my food to go and part of my meal was thrown away. Waited about 5 minutes to flag down our server for the check and a to go box. Her snippy reply was “we’re busy”. Guess the old adage is true. White hair makes you invisible.

Randomly drove into Escanaba and stopped at a bar. Someone recommended this place saying everything is absolutely amazing there.... and they didn't disappoint. The food was astounding and our server was very nice. The prices are a little bit higher but the food quality is phenomenal so it was worth it.

The salads were superb 👌 We ordered the Hot Spinach and Bacon and a Cesear salad. The dressing on both were amazing, and came with fresh baked bread that was so delicious. Our dinner orders were The Mixed Grill which consisted of 3 bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp, 4oz bacon wrapped tenderloin and a 1/4 rack of ribs. We also had the prime rib and our sides were the twice baked potato which gets a 10/10 and the linguini with clam sauce also gets a 10/10. We had a very lovely experience and will most definately visit again when we are in town.
