"St. Lawrence Market, Downtown by Jacknife. As one of world's best food markets and the city's largest, St. Lawrence is a historic landmark downtown Toronto. The massive 19th century brick building is home to over 120 specialty vendors offering multiple bakeries, flower shops, and a variety of unique artisans along with poultry, dairy, produce, and seafood stands. On Saturdays, the Farmers' Market opens in the north building (directly across the street) where shoppers can find even more local selection. We recommend hitting up Buster's Sea Cove in the back South-West corner for their famous fish and chips and homemade coleslaw. Trust us, it's worth the wait!"

Best valued pastries in Toronto. We got the double chocolate croissant and the spinach & feta pastry for a very reasonable price. As well as 7 bagels (buy 6 get one free, and I love me a freebie!) Of all the lines in the market, this one seemed to move the fastest, so if you want bakery item later in the day, on the weekend, I’d say this place is your best bet.

I found a stick it could be from a grain but almost choke on it??? I believe a incentive for this incident, coupon or something will be appreciate as I will wait before purchasing this bread, hope you consider and as well awareness for the customer

I re-discovered this place recently. A huge selection of breads and pastries (savoury and sweet). my current favourite is spinach-feta danish, and I will have to try leek-parmesan - as it also sounds very promising. Very affordable prices for artisan baked goods! Super quick and friendly staff. the store is located on the lower level of the St. Lawrence Market. products are fresh and delicious! I can't wait for my next visit there.

I love this bakery, but I can't accept finding two twist-ties inside a muffin; that is ridiculous. I’m so disappointed.

All I can say about this pick me up place is that it exudes the fresh aroma of baked bread and the display of pastries are amazing. You might want to get there early as the lineups for this place especially on the weekend can be long. I ordered 5 leak and cheese lattice pastries which was delicious and 1 almond croissant, although didn't have much almond filling but was sweet. They do have a promotion which is buy 6 get the 7th free.

Simply wonderful. Best place to have breakfast in Old Town.

As I walked into St Lawrence market, this place drew me in with the sweet smell of freshly baked goods. The huge display of danishes and croissants attracted me like a magnet. Before I knew, I purchased a box full of them and devoured a few in no time at all. Their almond croissants are the best so flaky yet tender at the same time. The amount of sweetness was just right. The others like chocolate croissants and maple pecan were good as well. Stop by if you are in the neighbourhood!

Multigrain sourdough bread was very good. But the almond croissant and cherry danish was not good at all. Not flaky. Apple strudel was good though.
