Cute little retail store full of my favorite Stonewall Kitchen products, plus future favorites I’m purchasing today!

Yelp
Great fun for a stop if you're in the area and are any level of foodie. The cafe is a comfortable place to fill up on a lobster roll for lunch. As travelers, we found it best to shop with our eyes, and phone camera, taking pictures of the products that attracted our attention. You can order later, it's not only convenient, but you can take advantage of free shipping. It also keeps from weighing down your suitcase if you're traveling, and they do a great job of carefully packing everything for shipment. Though the stop was great fun, I knocked off a star because we've found their product line to be a little inconsistent. For example, exploring their line of salsas, their salsa verde is one of the best I've ever tasted, and was definitely a repeat order; while the queso was entirely unpleasant and artificial tasting. So have some fun ordering, learn what you like, shrug it off if there's the occasional product that's not your favorite. But always include the Wild Maine Blueberry Jam. I'm just saying...

Yelp
Maine. The way life should be. Our first stop was Stonewall Kitchen for its famous Lobster BLT. I also had the New England Clam Chowder. Both excellent. The Lobster BLT is expensive but well worth it. Plenty of parking. Plenty of outdoor seating - very comfortable and sturdy. The counter service was friendly and efficient and the bathrooms are clean. Plenty of shopping in the company store but my wife was able to get me out of the store without buying blueberry anything and everything.

Yelp
I had fun here. My friend brought me to see what the kitchen store was like (I love gadgets). We arrived 45 min before they closed. I could have spent more time in the store, and we missed the home store being open (but I didn't need to buy anything, I bought enough). I found some super need things that I didn't know I needed! I know I need an Ebelskiver pan, but I did not buy it. There was also fun stuff for picnics (great gift for family), lots of products for food preparation (sauces, jams, mixes, etc...). I just need to come back with more time, and more space in my luggage.

Yelp
This is a three part review: VISITING THE STORE Because of the way this decade has played out, things here have changed at Stonewall Kitchen. Gone are the days of abundant samples (the cooking classes, the food truck parties, etc.). When you visit, there might be two or three things open - with someone standing watch - for you to try, but this is 180° different than the way things used to be. If you visited 2019 and earlier, you'll know that you could wander around unattended and sample nearly any and everything in the store. That particular business model is so clever; it's been proven that "try before you buy" makes a consumer feel confident in their purchase (and more likely to buy something that wasn't even on their radar). With prices so high, it's tough to make spontaneous purchases these days, especially with Stonewall offering so many more and new options. Segue... THE PRODUCTS There are a few Stonewall products that we *always* have in the house: 1) the New England Cranberry Relish is tart and chunky (not only does it make a good spread, it's so thick [and so low calorie] I use it as a replacement for regular cranberry sauce at times); 2) the Wild Maine Blueberry Jam is iconic and tastes like pie; 3) (as does the) Strawberry Apple Rhubarb Jam which is jammed (pun intended) with pieces of rhubarb and strawberries! ORDERING ONLINE Stonewall Kitchen is the parent brand to some other Maine brands now, including Village Candle (which is my favorite of the two big brands here in New England). I order candles online *frequently* and it's easy to do, there's free shipping over $50, you can always find coupon codes online, and there's usually some good sales after a season is over. HOWEVER, when I was ordering from Village Candle directly (before Stonewall acquired them), they always threw in a sample votive or two. AGAIN, not a huge lift/expense on their part, and it was such an easy way to encourage me to buy additional items in the future since I got to smell some new things. Miss the days of customer service going that extra 1%!

Yelp
Fairly interesting to visit. I used to stop in there several times a year, but their prices have gone up and they hardly give samples anymore. I'm not going to pay $9 for a jar of mustard or jam without trying it. They used to have samples of everything, but they seemed to have stopped a year ago. I asked one of the salespeople what's up with no samples and they said it was too messy to clean up at the end of the day. Really? That's their reason or did this person not know what they were talking about. Now I skip it more than I go.

Yelp
Very nice store. Love their products. People working here were helpful and friendly. I purchased a beautiful seaglass ornament for a friend and a quality tea towel and lemon curd.

Yelp
Stopped by today to shop and grab a little lunch. The hubs and I both had chowdah! It was delicious and hit the spot. The salads also looked delicious that other patrons were eating. Busy place so seating can be tight.

Yelp
We decided to stop here on our way home from our Maine getaway and arrived ready to shop. As we were famished, we were so happy to see the adjacent cafe and we decided to eat before continuing our shopping. The cafe area is well laid out and inviting. I like that just about every menu item incorporates one or more of their products sold right in the store. They also have baked goods to purchase. Order at the register and they bring to your table. You clear the table yourself. We had the tuna melt with lemon dill aioli and green relish and the Stonewall burger with garlic onion jam. Both were well presented and tasted great and filled us up so we were ready to shop! The store is very well organized and easy to maneuver. There are dressings, jams, jellies, sauces, spices, candies, chocolates, teas, maple syrups, bakeware, pancake and crepe mixes, candles, and lovely ready made gift baskets. We were able to snag some really good deals on discounted holiday gift items. While I both love and appreciate that most of their products do come in glass containers, my only complaint is that some of the items for this reputable brand contain unfavorable ingredients such as dyes- so if you care be sure to read the labels. We do love their Maine wild blueberry jam (no dyes) so we stocked up. We also bought a variety of other items to try. We did not see nor were offered samples of any products during our visit as other reviews mentioned. That would been great Service at the cafe and store were super. Worth a stop in!

Yelp
We saw on the internet that the store was open until 6PM. We got there at 12 minutes before 5 and were told they close at 5. The employees were not welcoming and rushed us so they could get out on time. Not friendly at all.

Yelp
This gem is literally hidden but oh so worth it. The store is situated somewhat oddly to the street with the back facing the road whereas the front is in the back. If that makes sense. Frankly, the first several times I drove by it I thought it was closed. Then one day on a lark I thought I'd check it out. Boy, am I glad I did! More Stonewall Kitchen products than I've ever seen in my life. Sauces, dressings, condiments, baking mixes, jams, jellies. All at reduced prices. My personal favorite is the coq au vin sauce; heavenly! The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended if you spend any time on the Maine seashore.

Yelp
This is a shopping mecca for jams, jellies, baking mixes, kitchen housewares, etc. They do allow you to taste the different jams as well as their party mix (pretzels). Their jams are yummy! I bought the Maine blueberry jam to bring back as a gift. The place was packed when we were there. They do have a cafe for coffee and lunch, however we did not eat there. Their gardens are quiet lovely, check them out

Yelp
BEWARE OF EXPIRATION DATES! I placed a large order of butters and jams for holiday gifts, I received them on September 5th. As I opened them on October 31st I noticed the expiration dates, nine of the items had expiration dates between November 11 and December 3. When I called Stonewall Kitchen's customer service, the gal told me I had 30 days to open and check the expiration dates and she would not allow me to return the items. I will not be ordering directly from the Stonewall Kitchen again as I cannot check the expiration date prior to purchase nor trust that the product will be fresh. So Disappointing!

Yelp
As always the garden is beautiful, it's an easy stop off the highway and I thoroughly enjoyed my panini. Great for my kids too they LOVE the PB & J. Nice outdoor seating next to the garden.

Yelp
I had no idea that "Napa Valley Naturals" was coming from Maine but it is. I am a big fan of their organic red wine vinegar and organic olive oils, which I've picked up at my supermarket here in North Carolina. Stonewall Kitchen is quite the conglomerate, selling jams, cocktail sauces, pickled vegetables, pastas, seasonings, soaps, coffee, and even candles. I'll be looking for Stonewall Kitchen but in the meanwhile, this vinegar is perfect on a salad or mixed in with my special tuna mayonnaise. [Review 16497 overall - 100 in Maine - 5 of 2022.]

Yelp
The company store has a wonderful selection of food mixes, jams, seasonal decor and kitchen utensils. All wonderful quality. Hungry? Great breakfast and lunch Cafe. Don't miss the blueberry muffins!! A great experience.

Yelp
I ordered a tuna melt for lunch. I've never eaten lunch there before I have to say the tuna was delicious and I would love to have it again, but being a tuna melts, the bread should be grilled. It was soaked in oil and uneditable. I'm very disappointed. It was as if the bread had been put in a deep fryer of oil. I won't order it again.

Yelp
I am lover of anything Stonewall! If you go to any specialty grocery store or even the "fancy" aisle of the supermarket there is a Stonewall section. Walking into the Stonewall Kitchen Headquarters in Maine was truly a nice experience. I was expecting to see folks in bonnets churning jams (Is that a thing) but it wasn't like that at all. The best of the best, proudly on display at Stonewall Kitchen. All the jams, jellies, cake mixes, cream sauces, soups, soaps as well as kitchen gadgets all for sale at Stonewall Kitchen HQ. We shopped for about an hour, there were a few items I didn't purchase because our basket was getting pricey. We're at the register and I asked just on a whim, hey is there an Stonewall Outlet store? Sure is! 4 miles down the road. My Stonewall Kitchen Outlet Review is going to follow this review. The Outlet is ok... I'm suggesting you go there first to see what little items they do offer Then, come here, shop for some fan-say Stonewall products and go to their cafe for a quick bite. 2 two cents. Keepin' it real as always! Bill S

Yelp
I don't always buy seriously overpriced condiments, sauces, and whatever else I tell myself I can't live without, but when I do it's from Stonewall Kitchen and I buy way more than anyone ever should. I'm not sorry. They discontinued my favourite relish like 5 years ago and I'm still kinda salty about it, but I still love them. Stonewall's products are amazing and they know it, which is why they're priced the way they are. Tons of variety for any meal, you are 100% guaranteed to find a bunch of stuff that you'll love. They also have some adorable home décor! I'd consider this entire brand to be dangerous. Do not start shopping at Stonewall without a plan in place or you're going to end up with all the products!

Yelp
Stonewall Kitchen wasn't as big as I expected for being the headquarters. However, the store was very clean and easy to navigate. The store layout was fine but wasn't well organized when it came to having the same products down a few shelves from the others of the same type (ex: lavender candles with the lavender dish soap and hand soap but then there's lavender candles in the middle of the floor and by the registers-sort of thing). The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The staff were helpful, friendly, and quick. The cafe was great and the mocha was delicious!

Yelp
Sept 2023, love coming here it is a beautiful store with a large selection of products. We haven't been here since 2019. One big change at this store is that you can no longer sample their products before you buy them as you once did, so you have no idea if you like them or not. Moving onto the dining area. You can sit outside or inside, and we sat outside. We ordered the Lobster BLT for 38.00 dollars, and our friend ordered the Lobster Roll. Both were DELICIOUS with lots of Lobster Meat. They did say the prices were Market Rate, and honestly maybe we overpaid, but we are on vacation so anything goes. One suggestion to Management, LOWER the A/C a few degrees, it was so cold in the place that it was uncomfortable shopping.

carol s.

Yelp
I do not recommend this company, because:: among other things, they use styrofoam in their packaging. A huge turnoff!

Dawn T.

Yelp
Excellent Service! Always a great experience at Stonewall Kitchen both the kitchen shop and home store. Staff is exceptional helpful and friendly not to mention their jams, dressings, kitchen items and candles.

Yelp
I absolutely love this store. You can get Stonewall Kitchen products at most major supermarkets now, but there's nothing quite like visiting the OG. What a magical place! They have everything Stonewall offers and more. The best part is the SAMPLING - you can try a wide variety of jams, mustard, sauce

Yelp
Was given a beautiful basket of assorted items June 10th 2023. When we opened the basket to put things away, we noticed that both boxes of crackers were expired many months before we received this beautiful gift. Stonewall Kitchen is being petty and not sending new boxes of crackers to replace the expired boxes. THEY SAID THEY CAN'T GAURANTEE THE PRODUCT BECAUSE WE DID'NT HAVE THE PACKING SLIP WITH ORDER NUMBER. VERY VERY PETTY ON THERE PART.

Yelp
Food at the deli was very good and the thanksgiving wrap left little to be desired. The large store is usually packed with crowds so you have to navigate through a bit of a maze at times.

Yelp
My wife and I are big fans of Stonewall Kitchen and order their products online all the time. We love their pancake & waffle mixes as well as their kitchen cleaning products. When we saw there was a café attached to their store, we had to kill two birds with one stone. Needless to say, after we purchased several items to bring home with us, we had lunch in their café. We visited on a very busy Friday at lunchtime. There was no table service and you order at the counter and they will bring you the meal. My wife ordered the BLT with avocado and chips and I ordered the turkey apple cheddar panini with chips. Both were good but the chips which came with the meal had not taste. Not worth the calories or fat. The prices were a bit high because it is Stonewall Kitchen. The service was friendly and the meal came out quickly. It was very well organized. There was a kitchen store and a newly opened home store.

Brenda C.

Yelp
This matter was escalated within Stonewall and fully resolved. It turns out that the resealing problem occurred with the shipper-that has been addressed. And the packaging process was also reviewed and revised. This was not only outstanding customer service, it was extraordinary commitment to excellence. And of course, they replaced the product promptly.

Yelp
Went here on a rainy day during my beach vacation and will definitely be going back! 2 big shops and a great spot to get reasonably priced, fresh food.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE going to this flagship store at any time of year. I prefer to be a "hands on" customer. I want to see and feel what I am purchasing and this location offers that ability to do so in a amazing presentation. There is always help around if I need it otherwise I am able to shop at my leisure which can be over an hour and always doing at least two laps around the store, as there is a lot to see in the displays. The café is equally as satisfying. My last few visits I have taken home some triple berry tarts... I cannot describe how delicious they are and are such a "pick me up" after coming back home from Maine. The coffee here is also very good and has given me the time to consider additional purchases in the store for me and/or gifts. One thing you will not find here are the imperfect products. For those, you may want to head South on US1 about 5 miles or over to Rochester, NH (the closest locations I can think of) for the discounted delights. There is a small "sale" area in the connector between the two shopping rooms, but that is not always the case, so shoppers be advised. The outdoor seating is amazing in the warmer months and the ground are exceptionally dressed and are worth a few minutes to look at.

Yelp
Fun pit stop on the way to Portland. Sampled a lot of different things from sauces, jams, dressings and so much more. There's also a soap section and kitchen home goods. I bought a mixture of sauces, jams, soaps and one item for my kitchen. Got a free mini jam for buying full sized jam. Items aren't cheap but aligns with Williams Sonoma.

Yelp
Wonder store w the best blueberry muffins I have ever had. Wonderful selection of kitchen gadgets too.

Phaedra M.

Yelp
Love the store, but the cafe is not worth it. I ordered the grilled brie and jam sandwich and when I asked the cashier for recommendations on what jam - he said why would I care what kind of jam for your sandwich - I mean valid point - but wow. When our order arrived, we noticed that we were missing an item, when we went back in and informed the person behind the counter that we were missing a muffin - he said how would I know- I didn't take your order. Thank goodness that we had our receipt. And to just top it all off - there was no brie on the sandwich. So, the store is nice, but the cafe staff and food is not impressive.

Yelp
I was pretty excited to see the Stonewall Kitchen company store in York! This place houses the home offices, the production facility, the company store and cafe, and even a cooking school! You can find all the Stonewall Kitchen items here: the aiolis, mayo, baking mixes, coffees/teas/hot chocolates, fruit and nut butters, dessert sauces and toppings, dressings, oils, drink mixers, sauces and marinades, jams/jellies/marmalades, mustards, dips, pancake mixes, oatmeals, grits, pasta, risottos, soups, ready-made foods, and even kitchen and house decor items. I'm a fan of their Honey Mustard Dip (great with pretzels!) and their Ghost Pepper Queso (super spicy!)! My dad, who is a huge spice fiend, enjoyed their Ghost Pepper Jelly (it was more of the ghost pepper jelly with a side of pretzels - HAHA!). The SAs are readily available to answer any questions and/or to locate items for you. The place is well set up, but keep in mind that there are a lot of tourists who stop by and are all about sampling (it can get a bit gross!). There's plenty of parking, but it usually gets jam-packed and there are cars usually waiting to get a spot. Sometimes, you can catch some summer or holiday deals. +dips and jams +cooking school

Yelp
We swung by Stonewall Kitchen to use the restroom really quickly on our drive back to Boston. The restrooms were super clean which was a plus! Since it was around lunch time, i used this as an opportunity to order a Lobster Roll and a coffee. While the food was being prepared, i used that time to explore the store. They had samples out so it was exciting to try out unique types of jams and jellies. Also, the layout of the store is really cute so i loved just browsing. The lobster roll was very good and filled with lots of lobster meat. For a quick stop, i really enjoyed my experience here browsing the store and grabbing a quick bite!

Allison D.

Yelp
I remembered this spot from traveling here 3 years ago and could not wait to make another trip to sample the abundance of products. While I'm glad they didn't stop samples in entirety, but was very disappointed in only trying about 6 things. I think getting to sample everything helps me try things I may never buy and realize how great they are. It was a can't miss stop on a Maine road trip and I could probably skip it moving forward.

Yelp
York, Maine ***you can experience this on a small scale in Costa Mesa, CA If you've never tried Stonewall Kitchen Jams, they are just the best. There are many ways to try them even if you don't make a trip to Maine anytime in the near future. Most gourmet food stores around the country sell their products, but there are also other ways to creatively find and try their products, read below ***. In just over a one hour drive outside of Boston, a quick drive through a part of New Hampshire and into Maine will take you to the adorable town of York, Maine. We happened to drive right by the Stonewall Kitchen sign when our tires almost screeched to a stop and I asked my husband to pull in to one of my favorite jam companies. I had no idea they were located in Maine, and even more so had a company store, cooking school, restaurant, and production facility that were opened to the public! I was so excited we happened upon this spot! I was even more excited when I found out that they have duplicated this on a smaller scale on the West Coast at Macy's South Coast Plaza Home Store in Costa Mesa, CA. After my Maine Visit, I can't wait to visit the West Coast Macy's Stonewall Store and Cafe (West Coast cafe opened just for lunch every day from 11am to 3 pm -they even sell lobster rolls and clam chowder and a thanksgiving turkey and stuffing sandwich...so excited to try soon!). I had no idea this CA location even existed out our way, its fairly new as I think it opened some time in 2018! Back to Maine...there is an observation window to see what is being bottled for the day (you can not enter the plant itself just view), a very well appointed on site cooking school where you can pay to take classes and learn how to make and then partake of mouthwatering creations, a company store where you can literally taste and try every single product they sell...if you are into sampling, this is a gourmet food sampling mecca of bottled jams jellies, sauces, condiments. I was satiated with our earlier breakfast stop at Flour Bakery in Boston, MA, but the hot breakfast items coming out of the cafe inside of the company store looked enticing, and their pastry case rivaled what I saw at flour...definitely looked worth a try, but our tummies were full. We bought some jams for gifts for family and friends in the area, they gift wrapped the jars nicely with high quality trademark bags and tissue. We were sad that even their tiny jars were larger than the 3 oz minimum for TSA non checked bags, we could not take mini bottles of jam back home with us...but glad there is a location in CA. ***I was delighted to learn a little secret...I recognized some familiar flavors and realized they private label a few jams and condiments at a fraction of the price for one of my favorite grocery chains staring with "T" and ending with "J"...with a " 's " at the very end. Think grapefruit, peach and corn items and, you will find some of their products, but I would not doubt there are more. The garden in the summertime...is spectacular...one of my favorite parts of the visit. Done by a local landscape gardener, it was more than my eyes could take in, so I snapped away at the photos, just gorgeous! I hear they decorate with Christmas trees outside come Wintertime! Worth a stop if you love gourmet jams, jellies, condiments, oil, vinegar, visiting factory stores/production facilities, or love cooking in general!

Yelp
Their BLUE BERRY JAM is pure sugar ! Should have a warning label for diabetics - may cause organ failure.

Yelp
I loved loved loved my few minutes at Stonewall Kitchen! Longtime fan, first time visitor. We had been hoping to eat there, but the kitchen closed a little bit before we got there. And we had to get going to catch dinner before the theatre. Big bummer! But I went around sampling different jams, dips, and salsas in each room. They had a promotion about buying a jar of anything, or perhaps any item, and get a very small cherry jam free. I wanted to buy pretty much everything there, but the clock was on and I had to make a decision to be generous, so I got someone a jar of the peach amaretto jam. And I've been regretting my selflessness for weeks. Why oh why didn't I just buy a carload of yummy things while I was there? I must return. For what it's worth, the recipients really like the peach amaretto jam.

Yelp
Ah, Stonewall Kitchen. My annual trek up to the Kittery area just wouldn't be complete without a stop in here. Are the items overpriced? You bet, but that's not enough to knock a star off by any means. After all, it IS Maine, and most things just seem to cost more. My favorite part of Stonewall Kitchen is easily the sampling of various items. I am quite sure many others feel the same, as people mob inside for pretzels and dip. The selections rotate on a regular basis, but there's a good chance that if you've been eyeing a particular jelly or sauce, you'll be able to taste it before buying. I am a huge fan of the Strawberry Peach jam, which I find to be one of their best products. I truly enjoy browsing at SW, and I hope they stick around for many years to come!
google avatar

Bobby A.

Yelp
If you're really into bougie food and bougie food brands, yeah, you'll love it here. Do your research though and read the product reviews on Stonewall's main website or else, you might get overwhelmed and end up buying a whole bunch of stuff you don't really need. I'm glad I did and picked up their Ghost Pepper and Caroline Reaper Salsas (insanely hot), a few marinating sauces, lemon and lime curds and meatloaf and pancake starter mixes. I saw a whole slew of their stuff I'd never seen in Canada like their Bloody Mary mixers, mustards, flavoured oils and jellies. They also have a crazy wall of jams. Unfortunately since I'm pre-diabetic, that was a no-go for me but perhaps it might be something for the Stonewall Kitchen folks to think about making diabetic-jams and jellies in the future. They also have a separate place now that sells home goods like soy candles and air fresheners. There is also a food counter/cafeteria. I had their grilled cheese sandwich with iced tea and it was $17, that's nuts man. Mind you it was a huge portion and very filling but still.

Yelp
Amazing store and delicious cafe. Food was top notch and made you want to go back in and bring home more sauces, marinades, etc. to try. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great place to get gifts for friends and family who like to cook or eat. Beautiful gardens out front were lovely to view and get inspiration. Only marked a 4 because it was very expensive.

Yelp
I love there Onion Jam. It is so good on steaks. I bought there Strawberry Champagne Jam and Raspberry Peach Jam, very good. I found them at a small store in Prescott. Just rebought from there website. They shipped in timely manner.

Yelp
Stonewall kitchen is a family favorite. We stop here for lunch on our way to vacation in Maine and we drive here for breakfast on our return home. For lunch we have salads or lobster rolls plus muffins. For breakfast try the lobster avocado bacon sandwich or scrambled eggs or granola with fruit. Plus scones or muffins. And remember to get plenty of free sample tastes of jams and jellies and chocolate sauces in the connected store. Stonewall kitchen is great !

Yelp
Food in the cafe was delicious. Beautiful home items and specialty foods for sale. Coolest part was being able to watch the live production line of canning.

Yelp
So many jams and so many opportunities to sample them all! The fruit ones are amazing, but some of the savory ones were interesting to try. My uncle says they are good to put on meats or peanut butter sandwiches instead of a sweet jelly. I can't speak to that, but I do like the huge variety. I saw this company's jams in other small boutiques, so obviously this is where it's at for the region. Everyone wants it. Definitely expensive stuff! But you might get flavors you aren't going to find at your grocery store. It's also got a small cafe/eating sections and sells kitchen accessories. It's got a lot of stuff to browse your way through.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Getting too big? Private equity and quality and focus declining!? At cafe the burger lacked taste. French fries seemed to be frozen food service delivered low quality offering. Then they serve with Heinz plastic packets vs their "good stuff"! Why!?!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches! My family and I went at lunch time and it was pretty packed. I would suggest looking on the online menu before you go. The menu wasn't in a central location and I felt rushed to decide what to get.

Yelp
Stonewall Kitchen Location - convenient and easy to find off of the Maine Turnpike. Large building surrounded by trees sets the mood of shopping Maine. I love it. The entrance to the store is to the left of the parking area. Typically, within seconds of walking in the door we are warmly greeted by staff members, cleaning and organizing. You can hear pleasant conversations amongst the staff and customers. I have never been here when there are less than a dozen customers shopping and/or eating in the small café located to the far left of the store. Around holidays or vacation weeks, this place gets VERY crowded and can be tough to move around, especially if you don't like being close to people, i.e. bumping into and or brushing up against people just trying to move from product to product. I am sure you may have seen their products sold in gift shops, grocery stores etc. BUT, find what you are looking for in other places can be hit or miss. NOT here, you can pretty much find ANYTHING Stonewall you may be looking for. I have never walked away disappointed, well, maybe disappointed that I spent much more than I had planned to, but that's my problem. They have varying sizes of pancake mixes, which is nice. They also have bags / baskets of products that can be great for gifts. If you see something that interests you and you aren't sure you will like it, they most likely will have a sample for you to try. So, samples....There had to have been at least 30 different sampling stations around the store. Sample, pretzels, crackers, jams, mustards etc. SOO many. The checkout area is to the back of the store near the café, they have a cue to keep people in line and organized. The staff is friendly and efficient at the check out. They will wrap glass jar and bottled products in paper so they don't rattle and break in the bag of items you will most likely be walking out with. Some of my favorite products: Blueberry Maple Syrup, Buttermilk pancake mix, simple white crackers, ANY of the jars of aioli, but I love the garlic aioli, tropical jam, red pepper jelly (to go with cream cheese for a party snack) caramel sauce for ice cream or fruit, salsa, and the maple balsamic dressing. This is always a must stop when we are returning to Maine.
