What a lovely location! We stayed yesterday and we loved the ambience and the staff. They are so welcoming and one of the person was wishing us in Punjabi ,he wins my heart❤️ it represents their upbringing and culture when people spread positivity. Rooms are clean and my room with mountain view made my day🫶🏻

Honestly, I never stayed at a casino hotel before. But the fog was horrible on our trip down (January/01/2026 7:38pm). And I gotta say, very impressed. I had no idea this casino I've driven past many times had a hotel. But it was the closest hotel, best priced. And the room was amazing. A nice hot tub, pool, restaurant. And a nice casino. We actually won some money. And the staff. Sp friendly and nice. And you can tell they're actually nice people. Such clean rooms and over all clean everywhere. Pur room was right by the pool. So I bit loud. Till it closed. But after that, it was silent.

I had an exceptional experience and what truly stood out was the amazing management. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the team goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and cared for. Management was visible, approachable, and genuinely interested in making sure everything was perfect. They handled every request with professionalism and kindness, and even followed up to make sure I was satisfied. It’s rare to see that level of personal attention! Thanks to the outstanding management team, my stay felt seamless and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place where guest experience truly matters.

The hotel is fine.it was clean and comfortable. My boys loved the waterslide. There is nothing around this hotel in walking distance, so we ate at the onsite family restaurant. The food was good and the atmosphere was ok. Kind of felt like we were at banquet tables. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Every time I passed this casino on the highway I was always curious so finally decided to try it out. The casino isn't overly big, it's a lot smaller compared to others but still has a decent amount of good games to play! They do have a smoking section inside but I appreciate there are doors so in the regular area you can't smell the smoke. It's a good casino if you're in the area but I wouldn't make a trip just for it.

Didn’t stay in a room, only went to the casino. Casino was on the small side but clean and well maintained. There is a nice separation from smoking to non smoking area. The RTP on slots seemed very fair. Only criticism would be there seemed to be empties littering the outside of the establishment and the ashtrays could have been emptied more.

Hello I'm indigenous from Mînî Thîn, everything is amazing here but today food service was kinda bad? I thought it was first come first served? A white family was served their food first before us even tho we got there before them :( so we ended up leaving. Upsetting for my family... Have a good day

We stayed here for our staff retreat and it has an amazing location. It has Canmore about 20 minutes away to the West and Calgary is only 40 minutes away to the east. I loved the beds! They were firm and they need another extra pillows, the AC AND AIR units are amazing! One thing I didn’t like was the … food, as it was delicious, it was tooo greasy. Breakfast was the go to tho. Another thing was the TV were not compatible with YouTube, Netflix, prime, as you can log into your apps. I loved the Native Gas Bar, what else, i would highly recommend this place for other Staff to do their retreat, the Staff are friendly, fast. The sign said it was newly renovated; I do not know how long but it is amazing, barely heard any Neighbor or loudness

I am just reviewing the restaurant, not the stay at the hotel. We were kinda stuck in a traffic jam going on to Radium on the long weekend and decided to pull over for lunch. Pretty die in the wool typical restaurant hooked onto a hotel. Muted colours, basic setting, although I enjoyed the Indiginous artwork that graced the walls. Also pretty basic menu. Handhelds, a few other dishes, some salads and appetizers. Nothing that really wowed me. Server was friendly. She seemed like she enjoyed her job here. Two interesting things on the menu - the bison burger and the elk burger. I ordered the elk burger with a side of daily soup which was chicken and mushroom, and hubby ordered the bison burger with fries. I also ordered a local beer. Based on the amount of people in there, the food came out slowly. However, we both enjoyed our meals. My elk burger was tasty but I couldn't find the elusive Saskatoon jam on it. Soup was amazing. Hubby really enjoyed his burger and fries. Not at all a bad pit stop.

I stopped by the Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino a couple of months ago and tried their Bison Burger. The burger was good and I'd give it 7.8/10 considering the location. It is unfortunate that they no longer offer the lobster buffet

This place scared me. I found dead bugs on the pillow and was so afraid they were bed bugs. Lifted the mattress to examine and didn't find any more bugs. Needless to say, I couldn't sleep well. The next morning I went down to the restaurant for breakfast, was told it opens at 8am. It was 8:05 and we had to notify the front desk. We were with a tour and could not change rooms or wait too long for breakfast so I walked out to the closest Tim Horton's for something quick. By the time I got back, it was way over 8:30am, the restaurant was slowly opening up. Not sure how long we would've had to wait if we decided to eat there. At least the staff was soft spoken and seemed sincere when they apologized.

We decided to stop in after a day in K Country. 2 of us ordered beef stew and the other person ordered shephards pie. Also ordered a basket of fries to share. We liked the beef stew and shephards pie a lot and would recommend. The basket of fries was generous, plenty for 3 of us, and were crispy and tasy, just the way we like them. Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere is comfortable, clean and friendly staff. We would return here again.

Wanted to get away for a couple days to unwind. Have stayed here a few times, it was mostly enjoyable. This time was terrible. On check in was given the key to an occupied room, walked in, gratefully no one was in the room only their belongings. There was construction, no one warned us, and was woken up to what sounded like hammering and banging on the wall. The second night there was someone (from the sound of it an adult) running up and down the hallway, they did this 4 to 5 times starting around 2am unitl 3am. Then we were woke up around 6am with what sounded like someone sanding a wall or vacuuming. The sheets are either over starched or really cheap (they are so stiff). I did mention all this when checking out and received a sorry. I was told you can talk to my manager, who was at the counter as well. When I looked at the manager she smirked, I commented she looked uninterested and she looked away. The nice lady at the desk then handed me the general managers card and said I could call him. Really sad this was supposed to be a relaxing get away

Resort is clean and simple. Rooms are good but have fridge only... no coffee/tea or microwave. Beds are comfy, rooms have shower and separate Tub in spacious bathroom. Hot tub is big, pool is very warm, slide is fun.

Currently staying at this hotel... it's pretty unlikely I will again. The good - the casino and restaurant staff are super nice! Breakfast buffet is small, but nice, and free with your stay. We also had the lobster/prime rib buffet on Friday night. Food was a little low as far as refilling stations, and wait for lobsters was long, but overall good. The wait to check in was crazy, and the woman at the front desk took people after us in the line (?). Room itself was quite large (we have a king room). The carpets, towels, and duvet all have seem better days. The tv cable box is behind the dresser, so you can't just change the channel. The toilet runs, and the handle is broken. There's also no toilet tissue holder. Not enough towels for the 2 of us, and a lot of hair in the corners of the bathroom. Bed is firm, sheets are low quality/scratchy. Pillows were good though! Came back today to find our keys don't work! Had to line up to get them reset and wait 10mins. Wasn't impressed. Was going to mention our room issues, but as with yesterday, staff wasn't the greatest at the front desk. (And as much I as complain about them here, they aren't make or break). Location is right off the highway, but quiet overall. Didn't use the pool etc, but the many kids around seemed to enjoy.

Really one of the worst casinos I have ever been to. In total, it has 2 blackjack tables, 1 roulette wheel, a few poker tables, a few slots and that's it. Definitely does not have what most expect from a casino, but I guess you can't expect a lot if it's not centrally located. Highlights - - Located right off of the highway - Incredibly small Casino. I think they close at midnight or 2am. - You can exchange USD for CAN, but they won't swap it back for you. - Limits for BJ were super low, $5 CAN. - Poker was closed with nobody playing by the time we arrived. - Feels like a local casino and the occasional tourist. - Hotel is connected

Very tight slot machines here! I doubt I would stay here that is for sure, they do have a hotel attached to this Casino, and its right outside of Canmore,AB. The machines they had were so so in regards appeal to me, but I must say, out of all the Casinos, this is the tightest I have seen! We thought about doing their buffet, but after seeing the line and prices decided to go back to Canmore,AB for other options.

4 stars for value 2.5 to 3 stars at best for the hot food. Because the cooks killed the lobsters and steaks. Lobster tails was way over cooked hard like rubber no fresh taste at all. Steak was all medium well or well done over cooked steaks. The fist round of the other hot food was good the second plate fish and other seafood was either too salty or had not much flavour. Lack consistency in the taste. It's a shame cause it's a nice place great value. If they are able to control quality and consistency. This place would be awesome as the other place to compare to would be Grey Eagle Casino. They have great lobster claws not over cooked but not lobster tail.

not big but with everything. Saturday has prime rib and lobster for 29.99. Salmon, shrim with Sushi (carb meat). Lots of different ham with cheese and salad. Prime ribs are good with gravy. Clam chowder is creamy. Dessert has mini donuts pretty good. Cream on the cakes are not too sweet and greasy. Very good! Hot Peach+oat cereal is a great combination. Pudding is lemon flavor.

2.5 stars. We went for the seafood and steak buffet (+ a free wine) after a hike. Well, what can I say? If you enjoy fresh seafood, this is probably not the best choice. If you enjoy steak, yum! The restaurant part is decent in cleanliness. Service is somewhat slow but our waiter was courteous and attentive. My first lobster tail was awful. The meat was fluff indicating bad quality and questionable in freshness. The second one was better with former meat texture. For the hot items, the steak is juicy and cooked just right. However, every other items tasted weird or at best mediocre. The salad bar was alright with some selections. The dessert table has many choices. Although, I was quite surprised to find gummy candies at the corner, and semi-melted ice-cream pre-scooped at a nearby freezer. For the price and gratuity we paid, I must say the overall experience was not worth it.

A family group made reservations for the dining room buffet dinner last month. If you have a large group going, it's better to make reservations! Thankfully we were all able to walk right in and have a table ready. There was a lineup at the entrance and several hotel guests that did a last minute dinner was told the buffet was fully booked and it was an hour wait ! I've done that once last summer and an hour wait is really stressful with hungry tired people or cranky kids... We were there for the Prime Rib & Lobster tail buffet which is usually on Friday & Saturdays starting at 5 pm. We got 2 for 1 coupons for the buffet in the coupon book so this was the incentive to drive that far . You can't get that kind of deal in Calgary at all . Our server was excellent and the prime rib came out hot and fresh! When I asked for med rare - it was tender and perfect! The lobster tails were fine and I ate 3 myself... not huge size , more like large shrimp size .... but lobster in the shell nonetheless... you can have as many as you want , but only one at a time so there is less waste. The kids enjoyed sushi rolls and they even had Japanese seaweed salad. The steamed clams were tasty as well. There's a section of corn dogs, pizza slices and choices for kids. The buffet had roasted mini potatoes, fried rice, calamari , breaded shrimp, mixed veggies, etc. But the best choices was the lobster & prime rib! Dessert section had sticky toffee pudding dessert which is always tasty, chocolate layer cake ( nice and light), jello cups, fresh baked cookies, gummy worms , bowls of ice cream , mini ice cream puffs, etc . It seems like they've cut down the food choices from previous years at the buffet but at half price I can't complain. It's worth it with the discount coupon since it includes a drink of wine, beer or pop too. But I don't think I would pay regular buffet rate for it...

@Good thing: The hotel style is great Free parking Close to the hwy Close to Calgary Bad thing: - park your car as far as you could, I woke up to find a big blue scratche on my car's door. I think one of their casino customer got so high and hit my car. - the wi-fi is extremely poor, even though I was in the first floor , I saw many people staying at the lobby to get better connection. - their room card wasn't working well. I stayed for 2 night , every morning I have to go to the front desk to replace the card because it won't open my door - I have a mixed experience with the staff here. Unfriendly front desk lady & bar/restaurant staff. I had good experience with the girls working for the morning breakfast. (I was driving from Vancouver to the hotel , I was tired and hungry, I went to their bar/restaurant, I stand for 10 minutes, none come to me from the 3 ladies who was working at that night, the bar was almost empty so it's want crowded, I walked and stand next to the bar and cashier so they could see there is a human waiting for their attention, they passed by me many times and no care! I gave up and went to my room and slept with empty stomach). -not sure about the cleanliness of the hotel especially the bathroom wasn't very clean. - the location, if you are visiting banff it would take you around 35-40 minutes drive from Banff to the hotel. There is nothing near the hotel. Empty land - the noise is high, kids noise !

Prime rib and lobster buffet was excellent. Food quality and variety were really good. Also included a free drink for each person. Service top notch. Nothing better after a hard days skiing. We'll be back

you can smoke in this casino, so be aware before you go. it didn't bother me while i went there, the tables had low minimums ($5) and i had a great time with blackjack. they have both hand-shuffled and machine-shuffled tables - i'd recommend the hand-shuffled. rooms at the hotel are about $130, but you can get a little discount if you sign up for the casino's loyalty card. you can meet locals at the tables if you want. there is also a poker room that seemed pretty busy, check their schedule to find out when their tournaments are. the hotel room was well-sized, i liked the big bathroom. the second floor ice machine seemed to have a leak or something because the whole area around it was sopping wet. the complimentary breakfast isn't a great sell, but it's free. good luck!

Wow, what happened to this place? We used to go for the excellent Prime Rib but on our last visit October 5 it was really disappointing. Prime Rib was actually tough and even though the guy carving was trying to give you as little as possible the razor thin slices were more like a Baron of Beef chewiness. Not very good at all. And the baby lobster were overdone as usual but we never really went for those. Sad to see the beef quality has gone so far downhill, that was definitely more like a commercial grade of beef than anything else. At $34 they really need to up their game. I will try them once more on my way by just to see if it was an off day but it won't be a go to place anymore for us probably. I'm sorry because it was a place to go for great beef and I recommended it to others often but I won't be doing that for a while now. Beware! Go to Cattle Baron in Calgary instead, it's always excellent and a lot less driving. PS The sticky toffee pudding is still amazing

While I haven't stayed at the hotel part here yet, I have been here for various meetings. They have several restaurants, some inside the casino and a main one just off the lobby. What a fabulous location! Very close to Calgary, Canmore (about halfway between each). The nice thing about this place, is the great room prices, the entertainment (casino) and the fact that you don't have to pay for banff pass, yet you are still close to ski hills, hiking, etc. I haven't seen the rooms in person, but from the pictures they look pretty nice.

This place is located near beautiful mountains, mountains everywhere, every direction. I played some 2 cent slot machines and won $12!! WOOOOOOO!! Very nice room. I was upgraded to a Jr. suite because the room I reserved was still being cleaned, fine by me. You have to be careful to not flash the highway, oh well, I was on vacation damnit. There is a bar, a buffet, a casino with lots of slots and tables, a pool with a waterslide and a hot tub. Pretty good value, much cheaper than staying in Canmore or Banff. Go for it.

Worst casino/staycation ever. Stayed in a "suite".....there's only room for 2....:not even a couch it's just 2 chairs! The concierge button takes you to a front desk person that stupidly lets u know that "people to cater to you" don't exist, nor does the button! Unprofessional and will not return

Been multiple times. Small casino and a large amount of machines are usually out of service; limiting your options even more. Also, too many reserve signs (not on casino staff but still annoying with limited machines to choose from). The WORST washrooms and cleaning service. One the latest trip Over half the toilets haven't been flushed (not a pretty site), half the 'clean' stalls were out of toilet paper, there were only 2 soap dispensors (out of 6-7) working and the floor was covered with dirty paper towel. I mentioned something to the staff and 3 hours later not a thing had been done. Disgusting! If I wasn't staying so close with nothing else to do I would not go to this casino again. Only use for time waisting. Casino floor is quite dirty too - the whole time there not 1 ashtray had been emptied, chairs scattered all over and empty drink glasses are rarely removed. Very disappointing.

The food is good the service is mostly poor. At the all you can eat buffet the cashier refused to give me a discount even though I had a discount card. Rude staff. Never going there again.

Like all complimentary hotels, of course, I was expecting free breakfast. Usually, it's in the papers and it's on the website. It says BREAKFAST INCLUDED. We were part of the tour, CTour Holidays. Our tour guide is awful. He says that breakfast is 15 bucks, but so did the people there at the hotel. However, they kept saying it was 15 bucks. I did not go to a hotel to get nothing for breakfast. That's despicable. People are always trying to sell you things. Sometimes they're scams and they're a joke. This one is a utter joke.

This rating is for their Casino, specifically for Blackjack. As I cannot choose "0" or negative numbers I had to choose 1 star. DO NOT PLAY BLACKJACK HERE NO MATER WHAT!! Here's why: the dealer ONLY DRAWS ONE CARD for himself /herself (not 2 like the rest of the world) while you get 2cards. Then you have to play your hand out (hold or hit), only then does the dealer draw their second card!!! Think about it, the game by design will never bust with the first two hands so the dealer will never bust when he/she draws their second card. THIS VIRTUALLY MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY PLAYER TO WIN!!! SO BE WARNED!

I love how clean this casino is. Reminds me of a mini Vegas! Also loved the delicious Monte Cristo sandwich I ordered and our waitress. Always a fun pit stop on our way to Canmore.

We were invited to celebrate the 60th birthday of a cousin and dinner was The Seafood Buffet. We made the drive out from Calgary. It was easy to find just off the highway. Parking was plentiful and free. We were warmly greeted by staff who immediately acknowledged our reservation. There were 10 of us and our server was very attentive. He was always there when we needed him and he explained the buffet and what was included. He brought drinks and cleared plates and was very personable and helpful. The line was a bit long for the food but it cleared pretty quickly. Food was plentiful, fresh, varied and well presented. It was better than the average buffet and the staff were quick to refill dishes that ran out. I would recommend it - especially with a casino card which our group had. Excellent value in my opinion. Management was very accommodating and even provided us a birthday cake - for a very reasonable price.

I was excited to stop down to try the Prime Rib and Lobster buffet on my way home, and was disappointed. We were there at opening and it took them over half an hour to seat everyone, and we were at the cut off line. That's not the reason I was disapponted. While we were in line for food, they took the sushi in half empty, and it never returned. The prime rib was overcooked, as was the lobster, and the salmon...along with everything else. The peel and eat shrimp was defrosted and mushy. They do not have enough food to cater to the busy crowd. The dessert table was filled with donuts, cookies, jello, and lollipops that they just placed out as fillers. The other dessert options (2 cakes and bread pudding) disappeared quickly when there was any. It was a battle for decent dessert and you would be lucky to get some if people weren't taking every last bit of what they could fit on their plate. Don't waste your drive time and money to make the trip out. It's not worth it.

Here we go... Do not stay at this "resort", ever!! First off, the images you find online are nothing like the real deal. As I was driving down the highway and saw the outside of this supposedly "resort" and casino I knew that we were in trouble. The outside looks horrible and dirty. Maybe the inside is better? Wrong. We were given a room with 2 queen beds. I walked in and opened the door to a terrible smell. I knew at booking that they only have smoking rooms due to the casino style. But the smell was more than just smoke, it smelled like a room filled with dirty laundry. I immediately found black spots on the sheets for one bed and gross human hair on the other one. No one had changed them. I called in and the receptionist told me that after 4 pm there is no one to come change the sheets so we had to wait an hour before she could come up herself. We left and came back couple of hours later to clean beds. However, after a 12 hour drive, this was extremely frustrating to me specially because I had paid a good amount of money for the "resort" style room. The breakfast was decent and the view of the mountains was nice. But that's about it. Better hotels are available 20 minutes down the road in Canmore and Banff. Thanks for reading!
