"Troy, land of chains, is gaining Michigan’s first outpost of Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill. The restaurant brand, which spans eight states, is poised to open a new, 8,000-square-foot location at 155 West Big Beaver Rd. on Monday, October 29. The restaurant will seat 200 people and serve steak and seafood offerings like coffee-cured filets." - Brenna Houck

I walked into Stoney River randomly on a weekday, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the inside looked. The ambiance was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bartender (I didn’t catch his name) was awesome—he took care of everything and made sure I had a great experience. As for the food, I had a few mixed thoughts. The calamari was lacking in flavor and seemed too small—honestly, it didn’t taste much like calamari at all, especially for a steakhouse. However, the steak roll was really good, and my coffee-cured steak was cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese was solid too. The restaurant itself was super clean, but I did notice the register area by the bar facing the customers—it looked a little cluttered, and I’m not sure if the staff are aware of it. Otherwise, my experience was really enjoyable

Ambiance is very modern. There is plenty of parking at the back of the building. Wheel chair parking closer to the entrance. Derrick was our server, very polite and friendly. The crispy chicken sandwich was very crispy though very salty, reason for three stars. Otherwise, everything else is a five-star. Will need to come back and order a different dish. My colleagues had salad, which looked really good.

I believe service makes or breaks a good experience so let's start off with our server Richard. He was absolutely amazing I just wish we could take him to every restaurant with us! His descriptions of the foods were so detailed you could visualize them in your head. When food arrived everything was exceptional the Crab cakes were stellar! Steak egg rolls were impossible not to eat and even the rolls were very good. The coffee marinated steak was exceptional as well. The deserts look out! For a lower price ranged restaurant it was fantastic great prices large Servings Im so glad we went. I'll definitely be back and hopefully Richard will be there!

Google
Amazing! Food is always great! And service is pretty good. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with au gratin potatoes and the stacked cheeseburger with garlic whipped potatoes. The bread basket is good also! The rolls have a similiar taste/ texture of a donut and the honey butter is very good. Highly recommend!

Google
The servers far surpass the food quality. We went here for lunch and we're greeted by an index finger from the hostess who had to turn around to look at her phone and drink her water jug before asking how many in our party. We almost walked out. However our server was absolutely great and attentive. We ordered lobster rolls which were disappointing at best. The lobster was dry and old but the Parmesan fries were a delight and the spicy margarita was delicious. I expected far better quality for a $40 per person lunch.

Google
The food was great and the hostess and waitress gave us a warm welcome and a birthday card. The bread... it could be the best I've ever had. After finishing ALL of the bread we ordered the steak rolls and I highly recommend them. I also ordered the truffle mac and cheese and it was wonderful. The dine-in experience was great and the cake was great I got it for free because it was my birthday.

I made a reservation but accidentally placed it under my mother's account. However, when my boyfriend and I arrived, the staff was very understanding, welcoming, and seated us promptly. Our waitress, Angela, was amazing (please request her when making a reservation!). Since we had never dined at this restaurant before, we were unsure what to order. Angela was attentive and provided great recommendations for us. We tried all of her suggestions, and let me tell you, it was the best steak I have had from a steakhouse in a long time. I have visited many, including Capital Grill, Morton's, and Ruth's Chris, but none impressed me like this one. The atmosphere was welcoming and not at all snobby or rude. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are looking for a steakhouse in Troy, MI! The carrot cake was to die for, as well as the coffee filet and mac and cheese.

Google
This was my first time dining with StoneyRiver. I was very unimpressed and especially for the cost. My mothers steak was very bland, my kids brunch was quite good but $50 for my lamb chops and mash that were very bland and absolutely no seasoning was unacceptable. The waitress was not friendly and made the experience that much worse. The only thing that was enjoyable is that you all had the aqui panna water and the carrot cake was phenomenal! I personally wouldn't recommend this steakhouse or plan to come back. We've had better food and service for less at other steakhouses.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dinner with my wife and folks last night at Stoney River. Sydney was a great server and made the experience that much better. I got the steak salad and it was excellent. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. Everything was great. Check this place out!

Yelp
WOW! This restaurant is incredible from layout, decor, lighting, service, and FOOD! I'm really sad I didn't get any photos of our dishes, we were so starved we just devoured immediately! My brother gifted my partner and I a gift card here for Christmas and we ended up going on my birthday "Jan 19th". We arrived 10 mins before our reservation and were seated promptly. We were then greeted by our server Angela who made excellent recommendations and gave great conversation. We started our meal with a cold two hearted ale of course, the, shrimp cocktail, and calamari and were blown away with how crispy and flavorful the squid was and how ice cold and fresh the shrimp cocktail was! We also were given complimentary bread which I really don't know how to describe other than BOMB with a great whipped cinnamon sugar butter. We shared a wedge salad, and no joke, best wedge salad I've ever had and a great portion size for two. For entrees I chose that cowboy steak with Mac and cheese and my partner had the New York strip with the au gratin potatoes. The entrees were outstanding, steaks were cooked perfectly and I'm not exaggerating in any facet of this review. After, Angela brought us over a slice of chocolate cake for my birthday that was so decadent and moist and delicious. It reminded me of the chocolate cake from Matilda that Miss Trunchbull forced Bruce Bogtrotter to eat and it was the perfect way to end our meal. Also, the restaurant is owned by J Alexander's, my favorite restaurant if that pushes the needle for you. Amazing experience, we will certainly be back in the future. Thank you so much, Stoney River!

Yelp
My friend had a gift certificate for a dinner for two to this restaurant. My friend asked me to join her for dinner, and I went as I had never heard of this restaurant before, so I was interested in trying. I had glanced the menu beforehand and had in mind some appetizers that I was interested in ordering. Once we arrived to the restaurant, everything from the wait staff, to the ambiance was very nice. We were seated and our server (server name is Nester G) came right over to the table and immediately took our orders. What we didn't know, and to our pleasant surprise is that the gift certificate for two not only included two dinner entrees of choice, it included an appetizer, soup or salad, and dessert. I was totally shocked, in a great way! Especially since my friend explained as to the reason she received the gift certificate was due to an unpleasant experience at the restaurant in the past We ordered the Steak Rolls (appetizer), House Salad, Cedar Plank Salmon (Entree), 14 oz Ribeye (Entree), and Carrot Cake (Dessert). Everything was delicious! There was so much food for leftovers as well, as the portion size of the entrees were a nice size. And let's not talk about the massive size of the slice of carrot cake, it was huge enough to share some of the restaurant and take home for leftovers. I even went back a few days later to order a slice of carrot cake to go, that's how delicious the cake is! Well, Stoney River has won a new customer! I've been raving and sending pictures of the food to my other foodie friends to spread the word about the restaurant since dining there. I definitely plan to return to try more menu items! And my friend was happy to have a pleasant experience opposed to her previous experience, and she also will be returning to the restaurant in the future!

Yelp
Hard to start with bad news but, went here for happy hour and was told that the happy hour was only on the bar stools next to the bar. Even though I ordered from the happy hour menu I was still charged full price. I won't get into how long it took to be greeted as the person who finally greeted me was very nice but it was at least 10min while sitting at the bar. Will I recommend it? I think they are new and just trying to get it together.

Deanna D.

Yelp
What an amazing experience ... from the time we were greeted and quickly seated (he made reservations). Our waiter Trey was extremely attentive and highly recommended certain dishes. We ultimately decided on Him: The Draper (Bulliet rye whiskey: Blood orange: honey: orange bitters) 14 oz Ribeye with adding Oscar style (lump crab, asparagus with béarnaise sauce) and garlic whipped potatoes. Me: The Matador (El mayor blanco tequila: lime: honey) Steak AU poiVre Filet medallions finished in a peppercorn and brandy cream demi glace. With garlic whipped potatoes and broccoli For dessert, we chose the crème brûlée. Absolutely delicious! The ambience, the clean bathrooms and the staff were all on point. I highly recommend anyone that loves a nice steakhouse to go.

Jasmine S.

Yelp
The food was amazing- the flavors were so unique but subtle in a good way. There rolls were fresh and the texture reminded me of donuts. The waitress was very nice. The scenery was relaxing but not overly formal which I liked. We will definitely be back!

Jason L.

Yelp
So, let's start with the good--the ambiance was really cool in here, it's clean and well decorated, and the bar area had a really cool atmosphere (we sat in the main dining area, but walked through this area). Would definitely recommend this place for grabbing a drink. Now, here are the things we didn't like and the reasons we probably wouldn't recommend this place for a meal. I ordered the ribeye steak (I ordered it very rare and even gave a temp of 110 for clarity). Sadly, I basically got a hamburger that was well done through and through. The seasoning on the steak was good so I was able to get it down, but the chefs need some training on proper meat temping. The steak was rather thin for a ribeye, which I imagine was the reason it got overcooked. Second, one of the members of our party has dietary restrictions (vegan). Yes, I know steakhouses are not designed to be accommodating, but Stoney River puts this on their website: "From our vegan soups and salads to our plant-based entrees, we've got something for everyone. We take great care in ensuring that our vegan dishes are not only healthy and nutritious but also bursting with flavor. So whether you're a long-time vegan or just looking to try something new, be sure to check out our vegan menu options at your local Stoney River restaurant." When we got there, though, the waitress looked at us like we were crazy. There are no vegan soups, no vegan dishes, and no plant-based entrees as the website would lead you to believe. Sadly, this was the reason we chose this restaurant, so that was pretty disappointing. Lastly, our server was very nice and we could tell that she was trying, but she was a bit all over the place. Several parts of our order never got put in so we had to reorder and wait for those (they were also incorrect when they came out), half way through the meal the waitress tried to take my plate while I was still eating without checking to see if I was done (I had to grab the plate because I was chewing), and there were a handful of oddities in the whole process. Again, she was kind and was trying (and I got the vibe she might have been new), but it doesn't seem like the restaurant empowered her with the proper training to succeed. I don't fault her for any of this. To close on a good note, they did bring a free piece of chocolate cake for the birthday person in our party, which was very nice. I was between a 2 star and 3 star review, so if 2.5 existed, I would have given them that. All in all, good intentions, poor execution. We probably won't be coming back in the future.

Diana D.

Yelp
Had a fantastic dining experience here! Angela our server and Michelle the GM were wonderful. We had the steak rolls, wedge salads, prime rib and bistro chicken. Everything was delicious. The carrot cake was amazing and probably the best.

Vy N.

Yelp
Went there for a late Valentines dinner. Definitely make a reservation or you'll end up waiting a while or not getting a table. Stoney River was very busy and had a long wait the day we went. Atmosphere is nice and lively. Waitress was good and help explain the menu to us. Food overall was good but nothing too special. The only special I would say is their coffee cured meat. That was very unique and had a great taste.

Larry W.

Yelp
Came here for a delayed Valentines Day dinner after wine tasting across the street at Cooper's Hawk(oops name drop) I had a taste for a steak and she had a taste for salmon. We enjoyed the nice size crab cakes for starters. The service was nice even when The Lady's mashed potatoes came out not too warm ( the only reason I didn't give 5 stars). The atmosphere was nice and cozy not too bright, not too dark. We'll be back to explore the rest of the menu.

Kate R.

Yelp
Had a 5 star Christmas Eve dinner. Host was very friendly and seated us promptly at our reservation time. Our waitress was also friendly and did a good job. As for the food and drink, everything was delicious. We started with the calamari and it was a big hit. For entrees I had the pecan trout and it was very flavorful and well cooked. Two others got the steakhouse burger and also said it was very good and our other entree was the Nola shrimp. I especially enjoyed the cauliflower side and the creamy mashed potato's. Everything tasted very good! For dessert we had the crème brûlée which was a great ending! Overall we had a 5 star dinner and everyone left satisfied raving how good it all tasted. I would recommend Stoney river for a special meal and good service!

Tiara C.

Yelp
This was a very nice restaurant. Very well lit and friendly staff. The food was pretty good, but it took a while for the food to come out. Overall, it was a great experience.

Dee K.

Yelp
Why would they discontinue the carrot cake? Truly sad. Also, the pecan crusted trout disappoints. We have trout farms in Michigan. And they spawn here too. The portions are small and the preparation does not do the dish justice.

Michelle W.

Yelp
I heard this restaurant was doing brunch on Sundays, so my friends and I decided to try it. We had a reservation, but we opted to sit the bar. This restaurant is definitely more on the upscale side, but you can wear casual attire. They had hooks for your purses at the bar. Our bartender/waiter was very attentive and suggesting items off the menu. I started with a breakfast martini, which was very good. I ordered the filet and eggs. It came with a whole-grain toast and potatoes. The filet was tender but the potatoes needed seasoning. Our waiter brought out biscuits with a butter and also a cherry jam, which was very good. I will definitely return to try other items on their menu.

John H.

Yelp
Spent a very nice evening catching up with friends last week at the Troy, Michigan location. Nice atmosphere, the food was good, the service staff was polite, but not 'error free'. Overall a nice place for a small reunion of friends.

Faith G.

Yelp
The food is delicious... They have a Steak burger that is out of this world... I'm not a burger type of person... but this one is superior. The service is fantastic. The ambiance is amazing.

Eric O.

Yelp
Staff was very nice. Restrooms very clean. 7 of us for dinner. We started with appetizers. The only one I tried was the deviled eggs. They were fair at best , not much flavor. I started with a house salad. It was excellent. How could a house salad be so good, I'm not really sure, it was chopped but the flavors came together very well. My main course was a New York Strip, broccoli. Steak was good , not great . The broccoli had some sort of very strong seasoning, some sort of salt pepper mix. It was very overpowering.

Keita D.

Yelp
The wait staff. The ambiance was good as well. The appetizers were great. My entree came out cold it was sent back and mgr brought back to table. Was better but by that time our other members in the party had finished theirs so I took it to go. We will return to that hopefully they can get a 5 star from me. But I will definitely like to re-visit! Our waitress was great Adele!

Carrie M.

Yelp
I will start off by saying that my partner and myself, have never had a bad dinning experience here. We visited Stoney River on Feb 15, to celebrate our Valentine's Day a day late. As of lately, we have been making reservations when we know we will be having dinner there, which we did this time as well. Angela B was our waitress today. She did an awesome job! Was on top of our drinks, making sure we had plenty of ice per our own request. The willingness to engage in little small talk was the icing on the cake. I feel as though, she went above and beyond our expectations, and will be requesting her as our server again.

Dana K.

Yelp
The esthetics of the restaurant is nice. My margarita was very good however, the food was meh. I had the Bistro chicken which was freshly cooked but missing flavor. My friend had the meatloaf and that too was missing flavor. I would probably revisit for drinks and perhaps appetizers, but not a meal.

Bedria P.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Food was great. Service was excellent. Server Abby was attentive and Manager Andrea was great! We started with the calamari. Portion was large enough for 4 people to share. We ordered the prime rib and salmon. Asparagus was grilled to perfection. Broccoli was tasty. Lobster Mac and cheese was good. The salmon had a nice crust but was juicy/flaky inside. So delish! Prime rib was delicious but an overcooked. Asked for medium. It was not juicy. Manager got me something else as they were out of the prime. Got the trio instead cooked medium. It was perfect. We brought our own bottle of wine. The corkage fee was $25. Also indulged in a cocktail before dinner. The lavender Margarita...OMG!...the Early Riser...YUM! Dessert was the chocolate cake...moist, rich and delicious! Hope to join Stoney River on other occasions very soon! Definitely looking forward to joining them for dinner, happy hour M-F 4-6 and Sunday brunch 11-2p. Overall great experience!

Kelly K.

Yelp
My experience was very good here. In town for work and sat at the bar. Good little atmosphere. The bartender was very attentive. I got the Cab Austin Hope which I enjoy. I ordered the ribeye medium and the flavored butter on top added nice flavor. My side was the baked potato which I feel you can't mess up. My overall dinner was good and the steak was cooked well with a good sear. I am pleased and would return

Sari G.

Yelp
This place is so busy but so good. Get a reservation. Place was packed to the brim and we waited quite a while but I'm glad we came here for our anniversary weekend. The food was delicious and I appreciated that our server asked what we were celebrating. We said our anniversary and he brought us some champagne to celebrate. We got other drinks as well so it was a nice touch that was very appreciated. I got the coffee cured steak with garlic mashed potatoes and it was delicious. My husband got a french dip which he liked as well. The side caesar was a good size to share. Would definitely go back here again. It's like a sister restaurant of J Alexanders.

Megan H.

Yelp
We enjoy Stoney River for lunch! We've always had a good experience and to be honest, their bread is my favorite part of the meal. Service is always great as well.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Melissa the server was excellent . She recommended some really good drinks and brought birthday cake at end , which was nice surprise . The swordfish and the salmon were excellent as were the sides . The only caveat here is it feels a little bit rushed. We asked for the basket of rolls when we sat down with our cocktails and were told they don't come out until you order your food. So we got salads with the rolls and three minutes later the entrées came out. Not enough room for so many plates . My husband had a salad taken away when he was still eating it. But all in all ,nice experience and will return. We had a reservation, but it was not busy, like so many other spots in Troy for a Saturday night .

Angela S.

Yelp
So if you love J Alexander's like I do then you will love their sister restaurant, Stoney River Steakhouse. They have a nice classy looking dining room but I like to sit at the bar. The bartenders double as servers and they do a great job of it. They have the same yummy lemon drop martini recipe as J Alex but you don't get the two for one sidecar here (minus a star for that!). The food is delicious. My favorites are the whiskey shrimp on country toast appetizer and the steak burger. The French onion soup and steak egg rolls are soooo good. Next time you're in Troy, you really should check them out.

Tabitha H.

Yelp
I walked into this restaurant and it was rather slow. I was seated immediately. The waitress was nice. She got my drink order and brought out bread. The bread was soft but rather dry. I ordered lobster bisque to start. It was ok. It was kind of bland. Then I ordered the filet trio off the special menu. The medallions were good. The blue cheese one was weird but the other two were delicious. It came with a baked potato. I would have loved to have some vegetables other than the bits of asparagus on the one steak.

Chris H.

Yelp
Would give one star if the food was not amazing. The service left something to be desired. Went for a night out with my fiancé. Ordered two appetizers and two glasses of wine. Before anything had come out the sever was quick to ask what we would like for dinner. We asked for bread to accompany our appetizers and wanted some time before ordering. We were told policy is bread does not come out until entrees are ordered. We asked to speak to the manager (Michelle) and she informed us this was not the policy. Our waitress then brought bread out shortly after along with a side of attitude. The manager did not return to check on the food at any point thereafter. Service was clearly evident to favor an older clientele. My fiancé and I have frequented this establishment for the last couple of years and really enjoy the food. This was the first time that discrimination was evident. Use caution and avoid Melissa the server. Update: Adjusted review to 1 star. After the comment below from the regional manager. I had called and filed a complaint with corporate. I have yet to hear a response more than 3 weeks later.

M F.

Yelp
Just okay, nothing special about dining here. The steak egg rolls were delicious! Ambiance is better in the dining room for date nights.

Jamie G.

Yelp
Nice looking restaurant! Lots of seating and very cool atmosphere.. I order a cocktail called Early Riser. The menu shows Woodford Reserve Bourbon, maple syrup and bitters. So it's an old fashioned with maple syrup rather than sugar. When the drink arrived, it didn't look anything like what I had expected, but I took a sip. It wasn't what was listed on the menu. There was a lot of citrus in it, and I didn't care for it at all. I called the waiter over and explained that this wasn't the drink I ordered. He came back with what was listed on the menu and explained that even though it isn't listed on the menu, the early riser has lemon juice in it! He apologized and said that they need to get that corrected. We started out with an appetizer called steak rolls. We were told that they are the most popular appetizer and described as an egg roll stuffed with beef. My wife thought they sound good so ordered them. They more like a gooey cheeseburger stuffed in a wonton and deep fried. Not quite what we were expecting, but they were very good. I ordered the steakhouse burger and it was "ok". I asked for medium and it was well done...and maybe even extra well done as the meat was dry. The caramelized onions and Gruyère cheese were excellent, as were the fries, but the main part of the dish was disappointing. My wife ordered the bistro chicken and said it was excellent, although her mashed potatoes were just above room temperature. I will try them again, but will stay away from the burger.

Dali B.

Yelp
Our server Sydney was amazing! Always a great time at Stoney river, one of our house favorites. Wedge salad always amazing:)

Pla C.

Yelp
The bread/butter is better than Texas Rd House. So delicate and fluffy. Melts in your mouth. You also have to try the stacked burger. Crispy meat around the edges with a toasted soft bun. Perfection. Will be back.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Surprised SR gets such a low rating; husband took me for my bday dinner and everything was wonderful! First off we started w the deviled eggs, which featured homemade pickle relish and sugar-cured bacon--not phenomenal but very good. Next up was the house salad, which we split. It was a great portion for us before our entree; loved the homemade ranch. Yum! The waitress also brought us complimentary bread and butter, and it was delicious. I could have eaten a basket of that for dinner! I ordered the Ribeye and my husband had a NY strip, both cooked medium, and both were DELICIOUS and cooked perfectly. Steaks include a potato, I tried au gratin, my husband went with mashed and both were really good, but I think the au gratin was the better choice--cheesy heaven! We also ordered a side of broccoli, you know, because stay healthy. Lol. Since it was my bday, and my husband let them know when he booked, I received a complimentary slice of cake for my birthday. It was excellent, as was the entire meal and the service! I can't wait to go back again!! Highly recommend!

Charlie K.

Yelp
Pleasant friendly staff. Nicely cooked salmon with good crust yet tender inside. Good wine list with good by the glass options.

Vicki M.

Yelp
The dining room was clean and bright due to the surround windows. Food & drinks were excellent, can't wait to return. We ordered beverages: hot tea, strawberry Margaritas, appetizers: salad, shrimp and steak egg rolls; dinner: Ribeye, Meatloaf, & Nola grilled shrimp; desserts: Carrot Cake, Key lime pie, and Chocolate cake. All portions were generous. Our server Richard was well inviting. Well informed of menu items & attentive, I give him a 10 out of 5 stars. That's right!

Lauren D.

Yelp
I went for the first time a couple days. I had the lobster bisque and a chicken Caesar salad. The soup was AMAZING. The salad was pretty regular. The lemon drops are very good too. I definitely plan to visit again.

Cynthia M J.

Yelp
The food is good and the presentation is great Service is very good and fast Try some of the new menu items

Jim O.

Yelp
1st time here for brunch. Kinda good! Started with a carafe of mimosas server brought some super sized rolls, with butter and cherry jam, very good. Shared a warm lobster roll along with a spicy chicken breakfast biscuit. One of them came with some really good fries. Have had better lobster rolls - chicken was good. Very good service.

Bojan A.

Yelp
This place from A-Zone is top notch. We had cowboy steak and 2 fillet. Perfectly cooked very delicious. Highly recommend. Service was exceptional. Very patient and knowledgeable server, ambience was great as well as no rushing. Overall highly recommended.

Anthony B.

Yelp
Came here at 9:01 for dessert, but was turned away because they stop seating at 9:00.

Atiba B.

Yelp
Food was 7/10, service was alright, it had a great atmosphere but I believe the drinks and food was way overpriced. One of our entrees only came with one side it was well over $50. It's a never again for me!

Lauren J.

Yelp
Came in for Sunday's brunch to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday. Although the food was excellent, the drinks were amazing! The service was top-tier. The ambience was very settling and comfortable. However after receiving the bill and trying to use a egift card a situation happened where the shift manager at the time accused me of my egift card being fraud. She set the tone ask me to get out of my set and follow her to the computer, although we were signing happy birthday to her I had to step away in order to handle that whatever problem the shift manager was stating . She asked for my phone, and ask who and how did receive egift card! Very strange to me... seeing the person in beside picking up Togo order using gift card didn't have nah problems! I hate to say this but I think this was just another from of racial profiling. I'll be back but I'll never stay if she running the shift!

Angelique w.

Yelp
This is one of my all time favorite places to go to. The service and food was immaculate. I recommend making reservations. Everything is wonderful you will not be disappointed at all. The ambience of this place is beautiful. You're going to definitely have an amazing experience coming here !!!

Katie H.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place for a while now, and we finally made it! The restaurant is open and airy when u walk in despite the dense dark colors and wood used in it. The service was great and thoughtful. But that is kind of where it ends. The food was just so so. There is nothing to write home about. We got the ahi tunastack to start, and that was just bland. Then, I ordered the trout, as I love seafood, and that was just ok. I only ate half and liked my potatoes more. To be honest, this place was just ok. I really wanted more from this place.

Tom D.

Yelp
The atmosphere is very welcoming. The service is just enough, not over the top. And the food also adds to one's experience.

Elisa R.

Yelp
Impressed by their French onion soup and that was by far my favorite dish. Their bread and butter was also delicious. I ordered the ahi tuna salad, but to my surprise the mango I was served was hard, tasteless, and 4 pieces, haha. The cucumber to my opinion was chopped too small: I didn't really enjoy my salad. The atmosphere is nice, but kind of loud. Great stop to come with friends!

Yelp
Update on my last review! The steaks were exceptional. And the side dishes were delicious, all the food was above Are expectations. They need to be more respectful of your desire's, tied to put us in the Bar Area. Was there with my wife and the place was only about 1/4 occupied and we wanted a quite diner. The hostess was upset that she had to give us a better table. The ambiance was much better after we got a table in dining room. The service was great also, just ask for the area that you want to be in.

Yelp
I hate leaving bad reviews, but I must be honest. My food was horrifying. Everything was absolutely drenched and loaded with sugar. Sickeningly sweet. I ordered their French onion soup and it was like sipping on straight corn syrup. The "crouton" in the soup, disintegrated into mush and this "soup" resembled gruel more than a soup. The only edible part of this "soup" was the melted Gruyere cheese on top. I could not eat the rest of it. Both the "rolls" and "butter" were also loaded with sugar. More like eating a sweet cake with sugar frosting, except the butter was sweeter than any frosting I know of. As my main course, I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Szechuan Salmon. This too was a crisp, sugar cube with nothing spicy about it. The ambiance was pleasant enough. And our server/wait staff did a good job, attending to our requests. I left her a 20% tip in spite of the sugar laden "food", that was basically inedible. It's not her fault that the kitchen puts out food like that. This is the only reason I even gave it one star. If I could leave zero, I would. I immediately brushed my teeth when I returned home, to get the sickening sweet taste out of my mouth.

Yelp
Sunday Brunch menu. Egg whites are not an option and salty potatoes. 3 stars for the food. 5 stars for service. Rodney was the highlight! attentive, expedient, and jungled a crowded seated bar AND tables for the entire restaurant yet didn't miss a beat with no one's order. I'll be back just for this. Tender and well seasoned steak even the toast was delicious. $19
