One of my favorite galleries downtown Seattle focusing on Native American art they have a vast collection of sculptures, lithographs, originals, jewelry and even baskets made by artisans. We have several pieces from them and can’t wait to get more

This gallery is one of the nicer galleries focusing on Northwestern Native American people. Everything on the gallery is HIGH quality from the sculptures, to the prints, lithographs, jewelry and traditional face masks. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable, which I appreciated. If into the work, I would highly recommend it, it will not disappoint.

A truly gorgeous gallery with an amazing selection of art! I really appreciate how they have prints and unframed art to make owning art more accessible for people with lower means. The staff are kind, passionate, and generous with their time and knowledge. The gallery is clean, bright, well-organized, easy to walk through, wheelchair accessible, and comfortable in temperature. The selection is a fantastic representation of local Indigenous art, with credit given to specific Tribes and their artists--I learned a lot and was so impressed with the range. It's a great stop on my weekly Pioneer Square walks!

Beautiful gallery!! An excellent collection of art from artists around the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Employees were friendly and helpful. I had a suitcase with me (on a layover) and was able to store my bag by the desk, so I could maneuver around the gallery better. Most of the artists are indigenous, however there are a few prints from non-indigenous artists as well. All in all, a lovely gallery with stunning pieces of work!

Wonderful gallery with great art and fabulous staff. Artwork in image is by local artist Raya Friday.

This is a superb gallery of Pacific Northwest Native American art, lovingly curated and carrying the work of some of the best-known local artists. (There's also some art by non-indigenous artists, clearly marked as such.) The art includes glass, woven baskets, jewelry, painting and prints, and sculpture. The staff are knowledgeable about the art and artists and more than happy to share. You get a very strong impression that for them, this is a labor of love and even of service to the artists. Prices range from ~$100 for smaller pieces of jewelry to $30K and higher for the more monumental pieces. I'm absolutely not an expert on the market, but it seems comparable to similar galleries carrying similar pieces and more than fair for the quality. If you have even a minimal interest in Native American arts of the Pacific Northwest, this shop is worth a visit. The location, right of Pioneer Square, is home to several other art galleries.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit here. This is an art gallery in Pioneer Square. On their card it says "contemporary masterworks of the Northwest Coast." I met the co-director, Nancy. She helped me understand some of the art here. I was not familiar with art from the area, and in this gallery was my first time seeing it. I've come to really appreciate the art.

Yelp
Steinbrueck and Stonington (competitors but as a collector they are complementary in my mind) are the best native arts galleries in Seattle representing the finest pacific nw native artists. The galleries both focus on fine arts so not inexpensive but investment level. Every year we visit we're literally stunned by the works on display. Sometimes we buy while in store. Sometimes we call bank a week later. But we always find something. Prints/paintings, carvings, plaques, jewelry. The sales teams must deal with a ton of traffic given Pike Market and Pioneer Square traffic but are always pleasant. Go look. And invest in vastly undervalued and appreciated Native Art.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic Northwest American Art...this is the place. There is something for everyone here. You don't need a shiteload of money to invest in a beautiful piece of art at this lovely gallery. I'm not sure why people are saying it's exceptionally expensive. In the end, it just depends on what you're interested in. There are lots of beautiful pieces that are affordable. If you're in this section of town...stop in and take a gander. You'll enjoy the experience.

Yelp
STUNNING - and waaaaay out of my price range. It's fun to go in and pretend like I could buy, even though I don't think anyone believes it for a moment. There's beautiful traditional Native American art here, but I really love the contemporary twists on tradition that are so gorgeously displayed, like the glass art. Sculpture, painting, totem poles... don't worry, it's not like visiting a museum, this is one classy gallery.

Yelp
Yes, the prices are steep, but they'll let you do layaway. I discovered Thomas Stream and the Stonington Gallery via their display at the Sea-Tac airport three years ago; Stream is an artist of incredible, unique ability and I think he's the best artist represented by the gallery. Since the other works are of equally impeccable artistry, that's the highest praise I can give this iconic Aleut artist. Jewelia is incredibly helpful and unfailingly friendly; this is a very cool place in which to spend some time. Their website is also very detailed and helpful.

Yelp
Very interesting galley of native art from the Pacific Northwest. The gallery isn't very intimidating or high pressure like others. The art wasn't my style, but there were a nice selection of interesting pieces and the staff was friendly.

Yelp
One of the best and most interesting Galleries we found in Seattle. We had been looking and waiting for some time to find the "special" place and time to buy wedding rings. During a New Years vacation to Seattle we came upon Stonington Gallery in Pioneer Square. They were closed New Years Day so we could do little more than stare at the brilliant native artwork through the window. It was enough to convince us to return the next day. Best decision we made. The back gallery has an extensive selection of (and very well priced) original jewelry. Especially men's rings. Which, finding something unique and more than a dull "band" that actually has some meaning to it, is far more difficult than expected. Nancy could not have been more helpful. She took us through the meaning of each ring design and enlightened us about the history. We were never rushed and they were perfectionists about measuring for the correct size for the rings to be made for us. They truly created the "special" time and place that we had been looking for regarding our rings. As for the Gallery, the artwork is spectacular and if you can afford Native Northwestern art or not (you might be surprised) I would strongly suggest making this a stop in your cultural experience of Seattle. Its a very special way to spend an hour experiencing native art - and quite possibly buying a pair of wedding rings!
