I’ve been shopping at the Stop & Shop in Springfield, MA for a while now, and unfortunately, the experience keeps getting worse. The store is consistently understaffed, which means long lines at checkout and very few employees around the aisles if you need help. Even when you do find someone, they often seem poorly trained or unsure of how to assist.
Service is painfully slow, both at the registers and the deli section. It feels like there’s no sense of urgency or accountability. On top of that, the shelves are frequently understocked—it’s not unusual to find key everyday items missing, even during regular hours.
I try to be patient and understanding, but this store really needs better management and more support for its staff. Until then, I’ll be doing my shopping elsewhere.
