Stop & Shop

I’ve been shopping at the Stop & Shop in Springfield, MA for a while now, and unfortunately, the experience keeps getting worse. The store is consistently understaffed, which means long lines at checkout and very few employees around the aisles if you need help. Even when you do find someone, they often seem poorly trained or unsure of how to assist. Service is painfully slow, both at the registers and the deli section. It feels like there’s no sense of urgency or accountability. On top of that, the shelves are frequently understocked—it’s not unusual to find key everyday items missing, even during regular hours. I try to be patient and understanding, but this store really needs better management and more support for its staff. Until then, I’ll be doing my shopping elsewhere.

This Stop n Shop states it opens at 7AM . Never open on time . Always has customers waiting outside until they open the doors whenever they decide. It’s already 7:10AM. Get your shit together Stop n Shop

Really good store one of the best in the area especially the grocery department

Worst stop & shop ever. Thank god i went with my grandma to speak on her behalf. One of the cashiers doesn't even know how to do her job. She literally messed up 4 times, and every customer left mad at that employee that still needs training. Then, when it was time to go to customer service, the lady was semi rude. Most of the employees took their lunch break at the same time. Only one employee stood out, and they still assisted us even though she was on her lunch break. She should get a raise.

My go to Stop & Shop, Shelves are usually stocked, no super long lines. Plenty of parking. Plenty of registers. Lots of sales. Sanitizer at the doors along with paper towels and a spray bottle. 👍

Not the best store around. The staff is friendly enough, but the inventory is really sad. Usually out of most of the sale items quickly. Plenty of parking. Gas station is convenient. Andrea at the courtesy both is great! Update: store has not changed. 1 cashier open, 7 people in line before someone was called to help. Staff this time didn't seem to care much. 2 errors on my receipt had me going back in to the courtesy desk. Just an unpleasant experience. I avoid this location if possible.

Stop and shop is not very concerned with the experience anymore. They have replaced the bank with a machine, coin counter was out of order and scooters my mother needs to get around were out of order or not charged. This used to be a great store. Pretty sad.
