"Don’t let the Story Hotel Signalfabriken’s location in Sundbyberg, less than 20 minutes from Stockholm ’s city center, confuse you; this is one cool hotel. Tiny Sundbyberg may be a lively suburb of the capital, but it’s also Sweden’s smallest municipality, and its distinctive character shines through in this reclaimed former manufacturing complex on the town square. An extension of its first hotel, in Stockholm’s city center, the artsy Story brand’s second outpost takes the industrial-chic look even further, with floor-to-ceiling casement windows, doors repurposed as headboards, track lighting, and plenty of exposed brick and concrete. And yet, the look is far from spartan; its signature Scandinavian cool infuses the hotel with a warmth and softness that appeals to both the weekday business travelers (the surrounding area is home to a number of major companies) and discerning weekend tourists looking to explore a local neighborhood. Story knows how to do nightlife and cuisine, and it attracts more than its fair share of the inevitably well-dressed locals to its bar and restaurant."

I was expecting the King room to bigger, based on hotels in the USA, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful, with a Japanese bowl sink. The rain shower was wonderful! The maid service was excellent and prompt. The staff was extremely helpful. I wish there had been more hooks, and the gooseneck lamps by the bed are in the way when you try to get out of bed. The location was great, near lots of restaurants and a 20 minute walk from Bromma Blocks, a lovely mall. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay.

Yet again we had a fantastic stay at the Story Hotel, Signalfabriken. The location is perfect given the Airport flygbuss drops you off and picks you up directly outside and from there you have access to trams, underground, bus, commuter train and train connections to central Stockholm and beyond. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with excellent sound proofing between rooms. Staff are so helpful and we love the choice and range of options at breakfast too. We'll be back next time!

It was a solid enough hotel with a smallish room, but it did the job and was fairly close to the metro and the city center. A few notes:|1) No A/C (not a huge deal, but if you come during any heat waves... )|2) For light sleepers, there is a tram on one side and a metro car on the other that i heard til past 1 am on the weekend that almost made the buildling slightly shake, i had to put in ear plugs. (But my wife was fine so this also depends on you).|3) I found it odd the front desk was not continously operated, you had to pick up a phone to get someone to come down if you had questions etc.||The staff though was nice and the breakfast (for free) was quite good and had a lot of healthy options!

Best hotel in the area and I daresay better than the ones I've stayed at in downtown Stockholm. The tunnelbana, tram, and train station are steps from the hotel. The area is packed with delicious restaurants and shopping. It was hard to leave the comfort and luxury of this hotel <3

Story Hotel Signalfabriken in Stockholm is a hidden gem! Conveniently located with easy access to the city center via the tube, it offers a stylish and clean stay. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Perfect for a comfortable and well-connected visit to Stockholm.

This hotel is my go-to stay every year! The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the rooms are spotless, with all the amenities you could need. The staff is outstanding—friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist if you're unfamiliar with the area. Plus, it's super convenient for public transportation. Highly recommend!"

Big spread at the breakfast buffet. Perfect for a solo traveler like me. Friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious food on the restaurant's menu.

This hotel is a little gem and in a great location if you don't mind being just a little outside the Stockholm city center. It's very close to the subway, commuter trains and tvärbanan. The breakfast buffet is included and of very good quality. It was my third stay here.

Yelp
The Story Hotel Signalfabriken is a small boutique hotel that is perfect for a visit to Stockholm. It is not central to the tourist sites in the Old Town, but it is a short public transit ride away, and the stop is right in front of the hotel. (Here you can also catch a private shuttle bus to the airport for half the cost of the Arlanda Express). Because it will time and a ticket to get into central Stockholm, the hotel cost here is markedly cheaper. And in fact, the rooms are more spacious than the more expensive ones in Old Town. The hotel has a very helpful staff, a nice adjoining burger restaurant, free breakfast, and aesthetically pleasing rooms. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have an industrial design flare with track lighting and single-hanging-industrial-orange-glowing-bulbs-with-dimmer to give you the ambience you seek. Some things to note. There's no closet in the rooms. Just a rack to hang your clothes. No big deal. There is no shower door. Basically the bathroom is one single area with a drain in the floor where you'll find a sink, toilet, and standing shower. The shower is separated form the toilet by a glass panel but it does not close. It just prevents the toilet from getting wet. While you shower you will inevitably get the floor wet in the shower stall and in front of the toilet. But there's a drain so it's okay. The sink area has a giant bowl rising up from a small table. It looks aesthetically pleasing but it takes up a lot of space so you don't have much space to put your things. Though there is a neat little shelf underneath the mirror where you can leave your toothbrush, creams, and whatnot. By the mirror is a single light hanging on the right side. There's a dimmer. And the hanging light gives a cool industrial feel, but if you need to shave or put makeup on, it can get annoying to only have one side of your face illuminated. The one thing I will say that made me unhappy with this stay is that during my two stays here in a week, the first time they were able to use the credit card I have on file to pay for the room, and the second time, they were not. This comes down to the experience of the person checking me in. But I usually use my Hyatt Visa card to earn extra points at Hyatt hotels, but I don't bring the physical card with me. I tried to use a mobile wallet the second time, but their card reader doesn't work. I had to insert a card. And so I did, but the staffer's inexperience cost me 4x Hyatt points on the stay.

Yelp
This was my first stay at Story Hotel Signalfabriken, and to be honest, my first stay outside Stockholm City Center. First, the location: Story Signalfabriken has an incredibly convenient location. The Tvärbanen tram service is right outside, making for an easy commute to Solna Business Park and other business locations along the route, even in inclement weather. For an airport commuter, the Flygbussarna transfer bus also stops right outside. For trips anywhere else in Stockholm, the Sundbyberg tunnelbana (underground) and pendeltåg (commuter rail) both stop here, meaning you are 10 minutes from central Stockholm. The hotel itself is comfortable and well-appointed. My room was especially spacious by Stockholm standards, with a queen bed and spacious bathroom with shower. Amenities are of high quality; the botanical essences in the shower gel were especially refreshing. Breakfast is typical Swedish: fresh breads, meats, cheeses, vegetables were all available. No pickled herring, though - a disappointment for us hard-core Swedish cuisine fans. On the sweet side, they had three varieties of house-made muesli, including one with chocolate cookie pieces and a great cinnamon variety. Couple this with lots of yogurt and top with a great mixed berry compote and you're in for a treat. Lunch and dinnertime, Story Hotel serves up Phil's Burgers. Riding the wave of Stockholm burger greatness, Phil's serves up truly tasty American-style burgers, thin crisp fries, and thick milkshakes. This is definitely not Burger King, in a good way! The surrounding area has a variety of tasty pubs and restaurants, too. The Bishop's Arms, across the road from the hotel, has a surprisingly varied selection of beers on tap and an even better cooler. Highly recommended. In summary, the Story Hotel Signalfabriken is a great choice, whether you have business in Solna or just want a comfy base from which to operate on a Stockholm vacation.

Yelp
While the hotel is not located in central Stockholm, this place is still ideal for a getaway to the Swedish capital. Easy (like in very easy) access to the T-bana makes the journey short and efficient - around 10 minutes to the central station. I have to mention the area of Sundbyberg which, surprisingly, is not that bad. The area is quite charming actually. The hotel is located in the Signalfabriken complex which houses multiple shops, apartments and activites for the every day life. The hotel itself is pretty much identical in style with its first hotel on Riddargatan - that isn't bad at all. There is a solid, urban and quite raw feeling to it, but it still boosts charm, coziness and overall tranquility. The breakfast buffet is not as good as the one in central Stockholm, yet still very decent. Freshly baked breads of a high quality (white, rye, buns and cinnamon buns), a simple selection of cold-cuts, cheese and smoked salmon. While I really enjoyed the cream cheese/smoked salmon combination, the quality of the cold-cuts and Gouda cheese was a bit disapointing. There were soft-boiled eggs, yogurt with a large variety of seeds, nuts, muesli and granola, fresh fruit, different juices - and of course a good selection of tea and coffee. Decent, absolutely okay, but nothing wow-extraordinary about it. Hotels breakfast in Sweden are pretty much heaven (often of a very high quality and with local produce), so this is still good compared to other places around the world. Prices at this hotel, at most times, can not be beaten either. I do prefer Ett Hem, Miss Clara and Hotel Skeppsholmen - but their prices are more expensive too. This is a good budget find. And there isn't even anything budget about it. This is a boutique hotel in its purest and finest form.

Yelp
I agree to Oskar W. . Charming, modern hotel at an excellent price. Friendly and helpful staff, nice bar, nice lobby. The restaurant is Phils Burger, obviously a chain. Burger and fries are quite good. Around you find other restaurants with all varietys of food. Rooms are small but comfortable. I'll return.

Yelp
This a simple hotel with a modern design and different from the Swedish hotel. The only bad thing I have to say is that is was mostly a younger group of staff working at the hotel and the restaurant which is not as great which I rather wanted someone with more experience . The lobby boy/ security guy at the elevator was pretty young ( younger than me for sure) and I´m not that convinced that he would defend me if someone would jump at me. The resturang , Where they serve breakfast , dinner and lunch is called Brick no 6 , The breakfast sucks . I ate dinner there and they barley can cook food. My stay was okay , but not a place I would recommend someone.
