Storybook Treats Review - Disney World - Orlando - The Infatuation

"You came to Disney just for the Dole whip, right? If so, Storybook Treats is another important place to bookmark. This is where they have rotating character-based Dole Whip cones and floats, like the Peter Pan, a combination of lime Dole Whip and lemon-lime soda topped with a chocolate feather. The menu changes a lot, so it’s best not to have your heart set on a particular thing you’ve seen on the internet." - Carina Finn

The Rapunzel Sundae was delicious—and honestly, it literally saved my life when my blood sugar crashed. It was the perfect mix of tangy and sweet, and the shortcake at the bottom was such a nice touch. It’s also generously sized—definitely enough to share between two people!

Google
Storybook Treats is one of the places in Magic Kingdom where you can find ice cream. That said, their signature dessert, the Rapunzel Sundae is the real highlight. The dish is a mix of strawberry shortcake, soft serve ice cream, and Dole whip. It may seem like a bit of an odd combination, but it is very good. Definitely one of the better desserts I've had in Magic Kingdom.

Google
A small selection of ice cream, floats, and fountain drinks. The Peter Pan Float was awesome! Very different! Lime Soft-serve, Sprite and a Chocolate Feather. So yummy! Tinker Bell’s Pixie-Dusted Cone - another win! A green cone with lime soft serve icecream, topped with white chocolate wings, lime cotton candy, and a sprinkle of sugary “Pixie Dust”. LOVED THEM BOTH!

Google
Quick service, we waited about 5 minutes in line as it is a very popular place to stop for sundaes and other ice cream. Absolutely recommended! My daughter had the Seven Dwarves Specialty cone, today's offering was Doc, a vanilla, chocolate and caramel cone. Big size! There is a crunch part too. The soft serve vanilla ice cream is delicious too.

We stop here for ice cream and root beer floats every time. Such a nice refreshing treat especially when it’s hot outside. I definitely recommend stopping here if you like the sweet treats

Google
Disney magic kingdom Storybook Treats Seasonal Princess Ice Cream is a must-try! I got the Aurora Cone in April 2024, loaded with strawberry and soft drink flavors and white chocolate crispy pearls. It’s got a nice tanginess to it and comes in a massive size for $7. Definitely worth a try!

Google
Peter Pan Float - Key lime ice cream, sprite, chocolate feather - A great refreshing float. Poor unfortunate souls - Cream cheese soft serve, raspberry syrup, coke - This was not good. Way to many contrasting and weird flavors. I can’t even recommend trying it just because.

Google
This is a nice little walk up window in fantasy land that serves dole whip. I ended up getting the Peter Pan float. Its a really tart and I like that a lot. It had a red chocolate feather as well. I highly recommend getting this float if you enjoy something tart.

Yelp
This little stop is for ice cream. They have a seasonal treats that change based on either seasons, event or just months It's fast, easy and flavorful as ice cream should be. If you are craving for a soft serve in the middle of magic Kingdom but don't feel like waiting at the ice cream parlour or just want something smaller, this is the place. There's other place in magic Kingdom of ice cream or dole whip, but the seasonal treat is available only here. Other shop could have other exclusive treats too.

Yelp
If you're part of the Disney dole whip cult, Storybook Treats is a must try for you. Yes, you can go to get your fix at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland or sometimes Auntie Gravity's in Tomorrowland depending on their seasonal menu to get your Dole Whip flavor fix, however there's just something about Storybook Treats that keeps them at the top of my list. As a fan of the princesses, their stories, and the Disney magic, their photo worthy take on favorite Dole Whip flavors and ice cream sundaes throughout the different seasons elevate the deliciousness. During my most recent visit in December 2021, I was looking forward to my favorite lime dole whip, usually themed to Peter Pan (though I've also had it when it was briefly themed to Tinkerbell). I was crushed to not see it on the menu this time around, but was intrigued when I saw they had a new princess cone available. I went for it and tried their current princess iteration which was Snow White featuring a Lemon Dole Whip. My home park is Disneyland in California, so us Dole Whip fans are familiar with the lemon Dole Whip flavor, but to be honest, there was something special about it on that blue cone with the white chocolate accents. It seemed even more tastier than I remembered. Fellow lime fans, this Snow White cone is doing a good job substituting for the season! Go for it. You won't be disappointed. Though the Peter Pan lime is still a favorite, the lemon flavor is a solid second favorite. For those looking for a snack to cool down in the parks that is also picture-perfect and to the theme of Magic Kingdom/Fantasyland, Storybook Treats has you covered! Note that you will need a park ticket and a park reservation for Magic Kingdom to order and eat at Storybook Treats. At the time of my last visit in December 2021, no discounts were being offered and mobile order was NOT available at this location.

Yelp
DELICIOUS SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM FLOATS On a hot July afternoon, we visited Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom Fantasyland (near the carousel). For $6.29, we each had a very tall soft serve ice cream soda float. Special limited time only treats are often featured here. Seating Tip: There is no indoor seating at Storybook Treats so we went to Gaston Tavern (air conditioning!). With its heavily themed Beauty and the Beast décor, it is a fun place to relax and have a photo taken in Gaston's very furry chair. Unlike Pinocchio Village Haus, it was easy to find a quiet place to sit at Gaston Tavern which does not attract crowds with its very small snack menu. Park Admission: Magic Kingdom admission required Time opened: 11 a.m. Annual Passholder Dining Discount: no discount Disney Mobile Food Ordering App: not available

Yelp
Three words: LIME. DOLE. WHIP. Missed out on trying this limited (well, was) flavor back in 2019 when it was exclusively at the Polynesian Resort. Now, it's here to stay at Storybook Treats!!!! You can get it in just a cup, a float, or a fancy smancy Peter Pan Float which consist of lime dole whip, sprite topped with a chocolate feather. It looks cute and Instagrammable. I was going to get that but in the end, I got it in a cup just so I won't spoil my dinner later on. Plus I wanted to get a taste of the actual lime flavor and I didn't want the sprite to take away from that. For those who love anything lime flavor will enjoy this. Some may say it taste "artificial" but to each their own. Honestly though...in all reality, a lot of froyo flavors don't taste authentic anyways. Neither does cotton candy flavors but that's besides the point. Besides lime, they also have chocolate and traditional pineapple always on stand by.

Yelp
Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom has some fun Disney inspired snacks, like this Peter Pan Float. Lime Dole Whip is layered over Sprite and topped with a red feather, which is really just a piece of chocolate. It's oh so pretty and very Instagram worthy. However, the lime Dole Whip just didn't do it for me. It tasted very artificial and by itself, really disappointing, especially considering this is a highly recommended treat. It did taste better mixed in with the Sprite, which is why I am giving it an extra star. If you're hot, it will cool you off but is really more about appearance than taste. I would try something different next time I go!

Yelp
Great spot for a quick Ice Cream treat if you are in the park. When we went the lines were not long and able to order within 5 mins of waiting. There is usually a line. They offer very cute ice cream theme characters. We ordered the Peter Pan float that is lime flavor ice cream and on bottom they added sprite. I enjoyed the tangy lime flavor! We also got the Arendelle ice cream swirl with mini marshmallow attach. It is cotton candy flavor. It was definitely sweet. Great for pictures, but I wouldn't recommend it. Also, they do offer ice-cream sundae with different flavors. You can go wrong with that! Cannot wait to go back and see what other flavors designs they offer!

Yelp
Damn well perfect place to slam a cold treat on a magic kingdom day. Lime dole whip is all I needed to hear! I though chickenwaffle at sleepy hollow was going to be my quick snack pinnacle, alas Peter Pan float swooped in. had two that day, no shame

Yelp
This is one of my go to spots in magic kindgom when I am craving something sweet. They offer plenty of ice cream and ice cream float options. On my most recent trip; I tried the lemon soft serve ice cream with sprite for a fun float!

Yelp
Peter Pan float was pretty, delicious, and refreshing! Comes with a chocolate feather perfect for the gram

Yelp
Storybook Treats is the place when I want Dole Whip but I'm on this side of the park. Instead of walking over to Aloha Isle, I grab one of the flavors offered here. They have a Snow White cone with lemon dole whip, lime dole whip in a cup, and chocolate and vanilla soft serve. They also have floats and sundaes that look delicious too! It's a great option for a quick snack when you want to cold, sweet treat. They also have bottled water and sodas if you're thirsty. There isn't reallt seating so it's usually a walk and eat option.

Yelp
How could I possibly write a negative review about a place that sells this much ice cream?! Storybook Treats is conveniently located in the heart of Fantasyland where your dreams are already coming true, so why not add some delicious treats to the mix? Recently, Storybook Treats has added some fun offerings to their menu like the Peter Pan Float (lime dole whip with Sprite - YUM) and the Lost Princess Cone (didn't sample, but I believe it has mango dole whip so that can't be bad). I love how they are continuing to enhance their menu to keep us dessert lovers and Instagrammers happy! The staff there is also great. I am sure it is super overwhelming to serve that much ice cream to hot, hungry tourists, but they always serve with a smile.

Yelp
The Basics: Storybook Treats is located in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. It is right near the Winnie the Pooh ride in the park. Storybook treats is known for their creative and cute soft serve ice cream creations. They have picture-worthy treats such as the Peter Pan Float, which they have year-round and others that change over time. Things I like: The soft serve ice cream here is adorable and the specialty cones change all the time. They have recently had a Maleficent cone, a Tinkerbell cone, and when I went they had the Lost Princess Cone, which is themed off of Tangled. The Lost Princess Cone was great. It is lemon soft serve ice cream in a purple cone with edible flowers. It is pretty and delicious. I will always check out Storybook Treats for new soft serve creations! Things I didn't like: Expect a line! We got lucky and did not have to wait too long, but you order and then go to another window to pick up your ice cream. You may have to wait in line, but it's definitely worth it! Magic Kingdom is definitely gaining more and more recognition as a great place for snacks. This is definitely the place to stop to snap a photo of a pretty soft serve cone!

Yelp
I only tried the Peter Pan Float (yes, this local millennial saw it on Instagram and spent around $5 to try it and Instagram it herself.) This is the only place you can get the Float and it's in Fantasy Land right across from the new Seven Dwarfs Mine coaster ride and next to the Winnie the Pooh ride. Yes, the Float was pricey but I thought it was worth it! It's key lime ice cream in an aesthetic swirl with Sprite at the bottom. The lime from the Sprite really mixes well with the key lime ice cream, adding an interesting buzz and fizz and extra iciness. They accentuate the different contrasting flavors well. There's a nice red chocolate feather on top just like in Peter Pan's hat! The service here is alright, the location is good, but let's be real--the only reason you're coming here is the same reason I did: for the Peter Pan Float. And I'd do it again and again.
google avatar

Lorie L.

Yelp
Most of the frozen items here qualify as a dining plan snack and their price makes it a good value for the credit. I ordered the Peter Pan lime dole whip with Sprite. It was refreshing but also sweet and tart. It'll conquer your sugar crave for a long while. It comes with a spoon and if you ask for a paper straw, get two. My son got the Minnie Mouse cookie dough sundae and it was a good size - plus adorable. Check out the menu if you need something cold while in Fantasyland.
google avatar

Katherine D.

Yelp
You can count on the Refreshment Port to to have the latest treats you can find in Disney! I'm pretty sure they rotate items on the menu depending on what's trending. I wanted to try the Peter Pan Float because I am a fan of the Dole Whip, and it was amazing! It is lime Dole whip with sprite soda topped with a chocolate feather. The Minnie Mouse sundae was yummy as well. Vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and a chocolate bow and the 2 ears are the cookie dough. To me, I can live without the sundae. It is very sweet in my opinion, but if you want something refreshing, definitely give the float a try!

Yelp
Before we'd even left California heading once again to Walt Disney World, I'd checked for special, ceatively themed, limited edition snacks, desserts, and drinks found within the Parks. I'd made a list. In fact, In planning our weekend, I'd also made very sure we'd not only experience the rides and attractions we'd wanted, but that we'd also cross paths with the snack wagons, restaurants, kiosks, dessert shops, inns, pavilions, parlors, bars, taverns, and cafes on my list. Storybook Treats was our (actually, my) first stop. I mean, who doesn't want to try a Peter Pan Float, right? After all, I'd come all this way. So I picked one up, shared none of it at all, and loved it! I could've sworn, too, that I'd seen a Maleficent shake, chocolate horns and all, as well, but I didn't try it. (My only critique is that their menu doesn't offer more.) Anyway, I know you're checking out the photo and now want one of your own. I can tell. So find your way over to the Mad Tea Party. Storybook Treats is very nearby.

Yelp
On our recent trip to Magic Kingdom we stopped by for a quick treat. They had these seasonal floats available so decided to try them out. The Poor Unfortunate Souls float was made of cream cheese soft serve, black raspberry syrup and Coca Cola. Topped with a chocolate crown. The Peter Pan float was Dole Whip Lime soft serve, sprite, and a chocolate feather. We had to eat them fairly quickly since it would have melted. I refer the Ursula themed treat over Peter Pan. As it was creamier versus being fruity like the lime. If you like these flavors I recommend giving it a shot.
google avatar

Kara M.

Yelp
I picked up a twist here when I was in the Magic Kingdom. I find it amusing that Disney sells this particular item in various parks and resorts, but the price varies ever so slightly. My twist was $3.99 here. The quality of the ice cream was a bit different at various resorts too, some places were creamier than others. This cone was average. The one at Animal Kingdom in the painted bus/truck near Everest seems to have the best tasting ice cream I have had at any of the parks. Getting a treat here certainly won't break the bank.
google avatar

Cindy F.

Yelp
Storybook Treats is another favorite of mine! I don't know how anyone could disagree. I had been dying to try the Peter Pan float and I promise you that it did not disappoint in the slightest.
google avatar

Corella D.

Yelp
We tried the fun, cute frozen concoctions in MK. Fun to look at and consume. We liked them both, Arendelle Aqua cone and Peter Pan float. The feather is white chocolate. The Mickey stuck in the soft serve is a sugar that melts in your mouth.
google avatar

Yelp
Taste testing the Christmas goodies.. Gingerbread Sundae from Storybook Treats with a side of gingerbread cookie from Grand Floridian (The sundae includes gingerbread-flavored soft serve ice cream, topped with whipped cream, Speculaas biscuit pieces, and a Minnie Mouse waffle topper, served in a Minnie-pattered boat.) Yummmmmmyyy perfect mid day snack!
google avatar

Yelp
DELICIOUS. I recommend ordering the Peter Pan Float, especially if you are a fan of lime. Like a lot of people right now i miss being at the Disney parks, and i cant wait to have this treat again when Disneyworld reopens. This treat brings joy to my taste buds at first bite. There are different options here to choose from when the seasons roll around
google avatar

Jenn C.

Yelp
Friendly staff. They traded my first pin with me. Gave me and Jordyn plenty of bday wishes. It was awesome. Jordyn had a strawberry soft serve sundae and Alanna had the vanilla soft serve. They had no dairy free options for me so I couldn't try anything.
google avatar

Aeman J.

Yelp
I was so excited to buy micky mouse ice bar at disney magic world childhood dream came true. Very delicious vanilla covered with chocolate wow . Storybook treats was small outside cart almost every corner available at disney magic world.
google avatar

Lauren D.

Yelp
I got the Lost Princess cone and it tasted so good! The lemon soft serve ice cream isn't too tart, just the right amount. I also tried the lime soft serve but didn't like it as much as the lemon. It was a little more sour and had more of an artificial taste. The staff are really nice too!
google avatar

Tiffany V.

Yelp
The best place to get yummy soft serve ice cream at a very affordable price in Magic Kingdom! Definitely worth a stop!
google avatar

Alisa S.

Yelp
Now they have Peter Pan float and the lost princess cone. We tried Peter Pan Float. It's a lime soft-serve with sprite and a red feather shaped chocolate as decoration. Lime soft-serve was pretty sour and melted fast. Service was very quick, we got our float right away after ordering.
google avatar

Sydney F.

Yelp
Love the Lost Princess cone. I was worried that I wouldn't like the lemon ice cream, but it was so refreshing on a hot day. I'm typically a vanilla ice cream girl, but the lemon ice cream hit the spot. The flowers are edible, but they aren't exactly tasty, so I'd suggest throwing them away. The people around me all agreed they taste a little like grass.
google avatar

Kaitlin J.

Yelp
Great ice cream place in Fantasyland! It's located just to the left of the Princess Greeting hall. They always have vanilla and chocolate soft serve and more recently have had more fun options, like the Peter Pan float and the Lost Princess come. I got the Peter Pan float because that is my all time favorite Disney movie. It is a line soft serve in Sprite, topped with a red chocolate feather. It is so cute! I wasn't a huge fan of the float itself, the Sprite was a little overwhelming but that may be because I'm not a big soda fan. I had to try the float though because it was Peter Pan! Overall I would say if you're craving ice cream, I would go for the Dole Whip or Citrus Swirl over the new specialty cones, but they definitely have fun and dependable options like regular vanilla soft serve as well!
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Awesome ice cream! but iralys was so disrespectful to us for asking one question about a cone sitting behind her. Such an attitude. Also didn't listen to our order because she got half of it wrong when I said plain ice cream in a cone and a coke float not root beer.
google avatar

Julie D.

Yelp
The desserts here are pretty tasty. We had the chocolate & vanilla ice cream twist with sprinkles and a cookie. In one of the pictures I saw previously posted someone shows a display case of their treats. I did not happen to see this because I wanted to see everything they had (instead of a menu) but I did not see a place to enter. It appears to just be a place you order from the outside and find an outdoor seat at the nearby restaurant located by the carousel. They had a handful of things to try but not a plethora. The cookie was nice and soft and the ice cream was creamy. It wasn't too pricey. I would definitely go back again.

Scarlett O.

Yelp
Cute snack place at Magic Kingdom. Despite being fairly long on a hot day, the line moved quickly & the staff was pleasant. We got the Lost Princess cone (lemon soft serve) & the Peter Pan's float (lime soft serve float with Sprite & a chocolate feather decoration. Both items were delicious & refreshing on a hot June day. Personally I enjoyed the lemon more & my daughter preferred the lime; but both were good in that they weren't too sweet or too tart which can be a concern with citrus flavored items.

Yelp
Storybook Treats was Mrs. Potts' Cupboard. All they did was change the name and change the sign. It's still located in the same place, it still looks the same, and it still has the same menu. It's all about the ice cream here. Always was and still is. So, rather than write an entirely brand new review, please read my review for Mrs. Potts' Cupboard because, again, it's still the exact same: http://www.yelp.com/biz/mrs-potts-cupboard-lake-buena-vista?hrid=hnHhMEq7tO1-kZdmu0Veww

Sheila G.

Yelp
We enjoyed the Peter Pan float and Tink's cone, the lime flavors weren't to sweet just the right flavor with a refreshing lime kick. I especially loved the cotton candy on the Tink come. Lines can be long. Worth the wait!

Yelp
A visit to Storybook Treats was at the top of my "must-do" list when visiting The Magic Kingdom Park. We were around the "It's a Small World" area I believe, when our group of 10 decided it was time for a snack. There isn't much on the snack menu at Storybook Treats, but this is the perfect place to go to if you're craving something sweet. This walk-up quick-service joint features soft-serve ice cream, chocolate chunk cookies, milkshakes, floats and other hot and cold beverages. I had my eye on the "Hot Fudge Cookie Sundae" because I had seen some others walking around the Park with the delectable-looking treat. Of course, I was torn between the cookie sundae and the brownie sundae ... because I can't ever turn down a soft, warm, fresh, moist brownie. But this time, the chocolate chip cookie won out. I'll have to try the brownie sundae next time. The line was long, but surprisingly, I didn't have to wait too long to get my highly anticipated sundae. I split it with one of my cousins and it was plenty for both of us. Definitely drop by Storybook Treats if you're in the Park and craving something sweet ... you won't be disappointed! Here are my thoughts: "Hot Fudge Cookie Sundae": I wasn't disappointed with my order! This sundae features a chocolate chunk cookie topped with vanilla soft serve and hot fudge. It's your basic cookie sundae, but I was pleased because the cookie was warm, fresh, chewy and generously studded with chocolate chips. The vanilla soft serve was sweet and enjoyable, and it wasn't very melted when I got my sundae. And, the hot fudge drizzled all over the top of my sundae provided the perfect finish. I devoured most of the sundae (my cousin only had a few bites) and enjoyed every single spoonful! "Fudge Brownie Sundae": I can't wait to give this brownie sundae a try the next time I visit Storybook Treats. This sundae comes with your choice of chocolate, vanilla or swirl soft serve, a luscious brownie, and hot fudge or caramel topping. I would get my sundae with the swirl, hot fudge and sans the whipped cream. However, if I'm completely craving chocolate, I would opt for the velvety chocolate soft serve to go atop my brownie! "Sundae": If you just want straight up soft serve without any cookie or brownie, this is the treat for you. Choose between chocolate, vanilla or swirl soft serve and choose among fudge, strawberry or a caramel topping. These sundaes come topped off with a dollop of whipped cream. One of my other cousins got this treat because he wanted chocolate soft serve topped with strawberries. He was pleased with his choice, saying that the soft serve was refreshing and not too mushy in consistency, and he also liked the subtle taste from the strawberries/strawberry syrup poured on top.

Yelp
While I'm not much of a sweet eater, I must admit this is a really good place to grab a quick snack. Their menu is limited to only snack items, such as ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, shakes, sodas... My personal favorite is a coke float... The line here stays relatively long, but it does move rather quickly since they have several windows open taking orders. If you're in the Fantasyland area of the Magic Kingdom and want a sweet treat, give Storybook Treats a try.

Maha A.

Yelp
Yum!!!! Their soft serve ice cream is so good. Grab one on your way to watch the fire work show. Perfect ending to a day at magic kingdom.

Zach K.

Yelp
These fellas were super nice and they slonched me up some creamy bois very fast. They accidentally made a twisty boi for no one and the gave it to us for free I rate 6 ice creams out of 6

C M.

Yelp
Waited in line for an unbearable amount of time... Not sure what on earth took so long because everyone was running around like maniacs behind the counter. It's your standard soft serve ice cream, but they have floats too! I guess it's better than waiting in the line at the ice cream place on Main Street.
