Seattle Fine Dining Restaurants That Are Worth the Splurge | Eater Seattle

"A while back the Seattle Times ran a rather negative review of this Pike Place coffee shop, the tone of which boiled down to “$8.50? For a latte?” And it must be said the latte is nothing special — or at least, it doesn’t stand out among all the other good lattes in town. What makes Storyville worth it is the vibe: the dark wood interior is beautiful, especially by the grungy standards of most market shops; the view looking out over the Pike Place Market sign and Puget Sound beyond is one of the city’s best; and the service is far more attentive and welcoming than your typical coffee shop. It’s a tourist trap, sure, but an enjoyable one. (Also, we’d personally rather pay $10 for coffee than wait an hour in line to get coffee down the street.)" - Harry Cheadle

Google
This is Storyville’s homebase shop and roasting room, and it’s totally worth the drive just to see it! The lofted shop sits in the middle so you can peer over and watch them roast and bake everything. Pro-tip: if you’re here during cake time, they give a free slice to everyone inside! The baristas are friendly and make coffee approachable to newbies. You can expect a moderately busy shop, with about 20 seats. I always get an iced americano or cortado, and you should definitely try one of their in-house baked pastries.

Google
I couldn’t be more impressed with Storyville Coffee!! It’s not even remotely bitter, but full of flavor! Incredible! We have tried a latte in person and are now part of the subscription service! Highly pleased with both experiences! If you haven’t tried Storyville yet, you haven’t lived! Lol. Run, don’t walk! Thank you guys for being incredibly wonderful & supporting such a great mission!

Google
The people here just may be the friendliest on the planet. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. Good coffee, delicious breakfast sandwich with thick bacon and pesto goat cheese on a pretzel bun, relaxing atmosphere and super cool story. A must visit when you’re in Bainbridge.

Google
I have had storyville coffee at the Pike Place location before and enjoyed it, but this location really didn't hit the spot for me. I tasted both of the housemade alternative milks, date-sweetened almond and coconut-hemp, and both were really bad. The almond would have been fine without the date, but it really ruined the taste of the coffee. Coconut milk should never be used in coffee in my opinion, because the flavor also really messes with the coffee flavor. For a specialty coffee company I hoped for better. This being said, the service here was great, which deserves them a couple of stars. Maybe go here if you don't need alternative milk?

Google
Good coffee. Cool environment. Coffee roasted in house. Just wish they had more sweetener options, just raw sugar and honey. Oh yeah the coffee shop is up stairs and there's no obvious ada access so there is that.

Google
Storyville from Seattle is an artisan coffee company that I highly recommend. On their website they bill themselves as America’s # roaster and their mission of ending human trafficking and to Love Everybody is one I can definitely support. When I made my order it was promptly packed and shipped off. I like the style of their packaging, especially the fact that my beans were literally roasted just 2 days before I ordered them. Upon grinding them and brewing my coffee I was treated to an aroma that was notably more pleasing than the competition. Their customer service is also top notch. If you are a coffee connoisseur, I think you won’t be disappointed if you give them a try.

Super awesome places, a lot to see, great parking and super clean. The employees here are super nice. Great great experience definitely will visit again!

Google
Amazing place for food & coffee! Very cool environment with tons of coffee beans and they are roasting them in house... Cool scene to see!

Yelp
Guys! This is the best kept secret, ever. We were in the area for select soccer and explored while the team was warming up. Its off the beaten path and tucked behind a private road slash business complex. You walk in and it definitely gives you upscale coffee vibes. They have the roastery downstairs and you have to walk up the staircase to get to the serving are. Once you're upstairs there's a small selection of food and coffees. Perk - sign up for emails and you get a coffee cup! Plus - you get a discount on the coffee delivery. Thanks for the experience!

Yelp
This is probably the best place on the island to get coffee drinks chill doing work or hanging out with friends. For one it's a giant space where coffee beans are getting roasted downstairs, there is a big sitting lounge upstairs with comfy couches and a whole section where you can order coffee and or order something to eat. The coolest part of hanging out here, especially upstairs is you can look down and see all the action going on. Basically Storyville roasts all their beans at this location and then either ships their beans online or you can go to some of their other satellite locations in the area. I also like that it's got things going on but you can still have a quiet experience if you want to get things done. They have all the basic drinks here and whatever I've had is honestly 5 star material. I think why I go gangbusters over their coffee drinks is their two alternate milks they make in house. One is Almond mylk the other is Coconut Cashew. Wow they both are fantastic. I have gotten their pour over and got a side of the almond mylk. The other time I was here I got their capachino with the cashew coconut. That capachino rocked and the baristas do great latte art. So tasty I licked the bottom of my mug. The other great thing is the service here. People are actually friendly and tell you all about the company and their product. I heard how the master roasters blend different beans from around the word to make their creations. Maybe what Starbucks probably did 30 years ago. The first time I came here I got a free coffee mug for just submitting my email which is not a cheap cup but normally $15. Then they delivered a pot of pour over when I was only buying a cup. Then when I went up to pay they said it was good when they forgot to charge me. Like seriously they go beyond being wonderful employees here. My only small complaint is I wish the employees knew what is dairy free or not. I was told by one employee they have no vegan chocolate syrup for their mocha. Then when asking again later another employee said he thought it was dairy free. He actually went in back to check and came back out to say that yes indeed it's vegan. The sweet lady wanted to give me one for free as they felt bad for misinforming me. Again 5 stars in service. One last thing is they don't have any pastries that are dairy free but there are a few items on the menu that are labeled (v) the market fruit, the kale salad, and the tomato soup. Don't forget the check in and get a discount on any food item. This is a must place to stop when you are in the area. Can't find much to find fault with this hidden cool spot!

Yelp
Excited to finally make my way out and visit the Roasting Studio. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't much roasting action, but I suppose you can't expect to see them roasting every day. It's an odd layout, with the coffee "shop" up top, an office space area (not sure if it's public or private use) and a couple different seating areas. The baristas were busy, but they were still very pleasant and attentive. We had a latte, cold brew and a cortado. I'm a fan of Storyville in Seattle, and this location's quality of coffee was no different- very tasty. I was hoping for more pastry offerings, but they had a few of their usual things.

Yelp
This place is very attractive and friendly. We walked in the front door before the guy standing in the order line. He insisted we go in front of him. We told him no worries because we were in no rush. We were still taking-in the atmosphere. Finally ordered food, cakes and souvenirs for our kids. Went to check out and the guy paid for everything...WT!!! I hate when people do that but I will play it forward. Not to mention they all proceeds go to fight world slavery. In addition, the background of this place is even more interesting!

Yelp
I've been visiting this place for over a year. Usually, I have an Americano and one of their extraordinary cinnamon rolls. I rarely linger because cell signal and wifi are notoriously absent in this metal roofed development named, "Copper-top". I learned recently that they do have wifi. So, this morning, I lingered. Following the customer before me, I changed my coffee order, on impulse, to a Cortado. The Cortado is two shots of espresso cut with just enough steamed milk to top "a five ounce Gibraltar glass". This may be my new favorite, just enough milk to draw out the native sweetness of coffee and the nutty undertones of the Storyville roast. Their cinnamon rolls are extraordinary: warm, melt in your mouth, flakey, crunchy, cinnamon sweet, soft centered perfection! The ground floor of this facility houses their roasting operation, the commercial kitchen, their merchandise and their corporate training facility. Because of this, you have a unique perspective (though sometimes very loud) of the coffee business. One of the many "perks" is that they're constantly bringing up small batches of baked goods. So, your chances of getting something freshly baked are stellar. The coffee shop and seating area is in a very nice modern loft overlooking the roasting operation. Unfortunately, this area is not ADA compliant. But, they do have ground floor tables for folks that are challenged by the stairs. They've made some improvements in the layout and signage downstairs to help customers find their way. However, in quiet periods, when their aren't a lot of staff and customers running around, finding your way to the good stuff can be difficult.

Yelp
What a cool coffee shop, even if you are not a fan of coffee, this place is worth checking out. Super comfortable chairs and couches, good relaxing tunes, and obviously really good coffee, it almost has a lounge-type feel to it. My friend is a huge coffee-nerd and kept going on about this place, so I had to check it out and it was worth the trip, it will be my go-to when I come back this way. Everything is roasted in house and then ship via ferry to Seattle, that is why you do see these guys in Tacoma and places further away. I guess they want their coffee to the distributors in less than 24 hours; talk about fresh coffee. It is a bit on the pricy side, about 12 bucks per half pound, but if you take your coffee seriously, like me, then it is worth it.

Yelp
If you are on Bainbridge the roasters is worth a visit. It is low key compared to Starbuck's. You can see the roasters and the behind scenes of the operations which is not very big. The coffee bar is upstairs with some seating.my favorite Storyville location is by far Pike place with the amazing view. But if you are looking for a good cup of coffee on Bainbridge and you are out of the downtown area you should stop by. They make their own almond milk and coconut cashew milk. I am not a fan of their drip but their espresso is a good choice with coconut cashew milk.

Yelp
Love Storyville, their mission, and their coffee and was recently blown away by their service outside of the coffee shop. I wanted to get a friend a gift card, but I wasn't able to get to Seattle, so I purchased one online. The gift card arrived the very next day! A day later, I received a hand addressed and written thank you from the director of sales. These days, it is rare to have a company of this size put forth the effort to ensure their customers feel valued. Storyville goes above and beyond!

Yelp
It was surprisingly busy when I came in before 9am on a Saturday. There was a long line to order, and there was still a long line when I left about 45 minutes later. It was so early that some of their pastries weren't out yet and there was already limited seating available for a single person, much less a group. WiFi is password protected and I did not see a clearly posted sign with the password - with the line being what it was, I didn't want to go back to the counter and ask the staff for it.

Yelp
I frequent Storyville's Seattle locations every now and then. I used to live on Bainbridge and my roomie and I were just looking for a place to sit and apply to jobs for a couple of hours. We both ordered drinks, but I also got a cookie because I can't pass up a cute sugar cookie. We sat at a high table with stools before moving to a cozier couch until a table near an outlet opened up. We worked for quite a while, the entire time having dishes cleared for us by friendly staff, being asked if we wanted refills on water, and ultimately was offered a fresh slice of chocolate cake! They say they make the cake daily; my slice was still warm! Best of all, it was on the house! Delicious!

Yelp
Storyville has always been one of my favorite places to camp out, work, and enjoy a beverage or a chat with a friend. This location allows for all of those things. If you want to have a private conversation here, it's great... the machines are super loud so you won't have to worry about being overheard. :) All in all: great spot. Lots of comfy seating inside and out, and easy parking.

Yelp
Amazing treats and coffee is fantastic. Friendly staff and really modern chic location.

Yelp
The coffee here is wonderful, so was the service and pastries. This location is a Roasting Studio for their coffee so you could smell the wonderfulness as soon as you walk in. I ordered the Espresso and a Caramel Bun. The Espresso was perfectly made. Strong and smooth with nice caramel notes and a sweet finish. They served my espresso with some Sparkling Water which was a nice touch. The Caramel Bun was delicious. Very buttery and flaky with a nice salty caramel coat. My friend ordered a Vanilla Latte and a Goat Cheese Pastry. OMG the foam on the Latte was magic. It tasted like a velvety vanilla cloud. Her pastry was quite good as well. Service was warm and friendly. The barista even remade my espresso because he felt like it was sitting for too long as he was ringing us up. Amazing! There are a few locations in downtown Seattle but if your ever in Bainbridge this location is definitely a treat. I could stay here all day sipping coffee and eating pastries with a good book.

Yelp
We stopped in on our first visit to Bainbridge Island. The cafe is located upstairs. Service was friendly, quick, and attentive. Our espresso was fine, and our cold brew was very flavorful and mellow. The highlight of the experience was their cinnamon roll, which was easily the best I've ever had. They somehow managed to produce a crunchy, chewy exterior with a traditional soft interior, the combination being unlike any other cinnamon roll I've had.

Yelp
Storyville Coffee Company, could you open a shop in Austin, TX? I think you would fit in perfectly here. This is yet another amazing place I visited during my Bainbridge Island trip. I came back twice I loved it so much. I didn't expect Bainbridge Island to have a foodie scene. It is amazing how many great local businesses are serving up some mean drinks, and food of all varieties in such a small space. Everything about Storyville screams amazing. Storyville is privately owned. Focuses on a private reserve blend, only two options - caffeinated or decaf. Plus, an incredible mission to end human trafficking. Every purchase goes towards this cause. This location is located in the roasting factory, where all the magic happens. Climb the stairs to grab a bite and enjoy a cup of their coffee. The hangout area is beautifully designed, and relaxing. They have free wifi, and we definitely spent a couple of hours here. I loved the smooth creaminess of this coffee so much, that on my second visit, my friend and I ordered a second coffee to go! All the pastries are hand made on site, and so are the menu items. The house made granola is INCREDIBLE, one of the best I have had, and wheat free. That's why they sell the granola onsite! I took a bag home, and my husband is savoring every last morsel. My friend raved about her breakfast sandwich. They have a club you can join, and special equipment you can purchase to brew their coffee in various forms at home. If I lived in Seattle I would definitely be joining that club! The passion that the staff have here is catching. I walked away feeling like anything is possible. I should start to take steps to work on making my dreams come true, because they can!

Yelp
The coffee is EXCELLENT. The pastries are top notch. But what sets them apart is the people that work there. We got there a few minutes before closing, but they didn't once make us feel rushed. On top of that, Timothy, one the roasters, took his time explaining the roasting process, describing the machinery they use, and telling us about the company's origins. What a great experience!

Yelp
So, go up the stairs for the cafe haha. We spent an embarrassingly long amount of time trying to figure out what was up. Go up the stairs when you enter, and turn to the right. After we figured that out, everything was fabulous from there. Great staff, DELICIOUS vanilla lattes, a great mocha, tasty snacks, and freshly made sandwiches. Loved it here. And idk about some of the other reviews, but it was not crowded here when we came on a Saturday around 11. There were like 15 people total.. try going to the Queen Anne or Pike Place location. Yikes, it's a zoo, they even had a bouncer once haha. So we were pleasantly surprised and stayed for an hour reveling in the glorious-ness of having our own table, a view, and a quiet conversation. Love the little "collection" of shops here. Great place to get coffee, snacks, wine, and beer. Storyville is worth the trip from the terminal! Don't settle for less downtown! :)

Yelp
If you have visited the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle, Storyville Coffee Company is the same concept but on a smaller scale. They are open until 4pm daily but they only offer tours of their roasting machines on Tuesdays, which I still have yet to experience. The bottom floor sells Storyville merchandise and has the roasting machines, while the upstairs features their tasting room. I love hanging out there, they have unique furniture and board games to play with (I forgot the name of it but it seems similar to Sorry). Storyville also crafts great mochas and serves delicious salted caramel pastries.
google avatar

Yelp
I dropped by visiting a local friend and checked in using the yelp promo. There are two floors and the cafe is on the top floor. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The ambience is really cozy- mostly because the decor and lighting give it warmth. There are more than enough chairs and tables to lounge around in. Before we left the staff even gave us free cake! So pleasantly surprised and will definitely revisit when back.
google avatar

S B.

Yelp
Always delicious food and amazing coffee. On Tuesdays they are roasting and the studio smells great. You cannot get better customer service than at Storyville.
google avatar

Kirsten B.

Yelp
The Bainbridge Island coffee shop is one my my favorites. The breakfast sandwich is SO good and the chai is awesome. But my favorite thing is the staff. They are ALL so friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Erika T.

Yelp
Hands down, the best coffee house on Bainbridge Island! I come here weekly and thought it was time to write a review that speaks to how impressed I am with the people. While the coffee is to die for and the cheddar breakfast sandwich the best food on the island, it is the kind and compassionate people who create these delicious treats that I want to call out. I'm constantly impressed by the quality of service and their deep passion for customer experience. Ron, who works with the kitchen has more knowledge about organic food than anyone I have ever met and Nick, who manages the cafe makes the environment always feel so welcoming. The cinnamon roll is something not to miss.
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
Best coffee around, period! And don't forgeT the freshly made pastries and treats. Are you sure this place shouldn't be called a bakery? The food is amazing. I am partial to Carrie el, and they have an amaazing caramel cookie, unique and delicious Carmel rolls, and straight up caramel candy! All made in house!!!
google avatar

Meghan P.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick coffee and enjoyed a great complementary treat. They were tasting their chocolate cake which was amazing with the coffee. This is also where they roast all of the bans for their shops in Seattle so it smells sooo good in here.
google avatar

Lizzy N.

Yelp
Amazing coffee! Excellent treats! Just went to the grand opening of this felicitous establishment and I couldn't be more jovial. I was also delighted to be the first person to add the Bainbridge Storyville Coffee house to Yelp! The menu link on the Bainbridge Storyville website doesn't work, but if you'd like to see a full menu of what Storyville has to offer, see the Seattle Storyville menu on Yelp. The granola, French press coffee, chocolate chip cookie and lemon cakes were all delicious. Thank you, Storyville, for bringing your amazing coffee and treats to Kitsap county, we feel so obliged that we get to taste your wares!
google avatar

Sandra H.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee and very cool tasting room. If you are in the area stop in. It is a beautiful place to try Storyville if you haven't yet.
google avatar

Tati C.

Yelp
We are always on the lookout for a great quality cup o'joe. I found this little place on the map as we got off the ferry and were heading to the Olympic Park for hiking. We definitely wanted to avoid going to Blackbird coffee (I rated earlier on) and were on the lookout for something great. The Storyville was perfectly on our way and had 100% 5 star reviews, so we decided to try. We were so pleasantly surprised with this amazing place. Great ambiance, service and most importantly - coffee! Super velvety smooth and strong. They roast their own beans right there and have a tasting room as well. It was not bitter and tasted amazing! Storyville is what Vivachi coffee in Seattle USED to be...Vivachi is now really bad with service, coffee, overpriced and overrated. Storyville is our new coffee place now and I can't wait to stop by next time we are heading that way (and buy a bag of their beans too!). We highly recommend!
google avatar

Kelsey G.

Yelp
This review is for the fantastic cafe upstairs: Amazing espresso drinks (including decaf) and dairy free milk options, friendly and dedicated staff, delicious pastry treats and menu items (we love the tomato soup, cinnamon roll, croissants, & breakfast sandwich), and welcoming environment to get in a few hours of work or visit with friends. Definitely a go-to spot for us on the island! Though the cell reception is nil (for me) in this area, the wifi is strong.
google avatar

Wickerlady V.

Yelp
Nice stopover after having beers next door. This place is about 3 miles or so from downtown. It is a hipster coffee place, quite large inside. They only have one type of coffee (plus one decaffeinated coffee) but the coffee was good. I had the French press and my husband took the Americano, and both were 4/5. They have board games and different lounging rooms for hanging out and catching up with friends. All in all a nice experience.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
I don't have much in my calendar these days, since everyday is the same, but I did mark the last time I visited Storyville Coffee in Bainbridge - a year ago yesterday. That is far too long. I will need to return to the island. Storyville has different locations; if you are looking for really good coffee in the USA, this is one of the best. But there's just something special about this location.

Jessica S.

Yelp
For me this is the best coffee on the island. Always solid and the food/snacks are great also. The only reasons I deducted a star is the WiFi stinks and the hours. Please stay open until 5 or 6!
google avatar

Sasha M.

Yelp
This business is ran so well! I'm in San Francisco and I get great local coffee here, but I still get the Storyville delivery service for a bag each week. Their customer service is so great. Whoever is running this place is legit, and I think could teach a lot of other coffee companies how it is done right! Keep it up Storyville.
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
Came in here last weekend with my kids. Baristas here are great, and their service was amazing. My drink was exceptionally good. Props to Jake and Heather for a wonderful latte, and the airplane cookies for the kids. We will be back!

Tim G.

Yelp
I came here for the coffee but will come back for the cinnamon roll. Honestly the best I've ever had. Slightly caramelized, decadent but not overbearing. If you are fortunate you will have one while still on the planet. Great atmosphere. Clean. Board games for kids. A free bag of coffee for your email address. What more could one want? Did I mention the French press was excellent? And fresh water was served without having to ask for it? And the staff was exceedingly friendly? We'll be back.
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Simply the best in every way. Worth the ferry trip!!! Treated so well. Highest quality which you don't find that in every coffee shop. That's because this place is so much more!! I love what they stand for and the experience they provide!
google avatar

Joseph K.

Yelp
The space is amazing and the baristas do a good job, but the limited and overpriced menu do them a disservice. What could be a destination or revisit spot is more of a "Try it once, enjoy it, and find a better coffee place to return to."
google avatar

Mish M.

Yelp
Oh hell yes! I was so stoked to come visit and taste some delightful coffee! I was surprised that it wasn't in more of a well-traveled location, but it was definitely worth finding. It's a really fun space. Upstairs is the "tasting room", and I'd pictured it similar to beer tasting rooms with flights of different coffees, etc. It smelled out of this world fantastic as we went upstairs. It's more of a traditional cafe than a tasting room - no flights or sampling. To taste, you order a regular sized latte, mocha, americano, etc. It limited what I could try, as I can only down so many drinks, but it didn't bother me. In addition to coffee drinks, they sell beans and also some pastries and pieces of salted caramel. Mmmmmmm. Salted caramel. My favorite coffee drink was the macchiato - I didn't even have to add sugar. It was smooth, creamy, and full of amazing flavor. I also ordered a mocha - with their house-made chocolate sauce - which was very good too. It's a relaxing space, they even had some games you could play while hanging out with your coffee. Beware: it seems they only have one person making drinks/cashiering at a time (at least the entire time we were there), and they are focused on the craft of amazing coffee, so it can take a few minutes for your drink to come up. The prices are very fair, less than Starbucks, and for a MUCH better product. I was definitely riding a caffeine high by the end of the visit, but it was well absolutely worth it.

Yelp
I am a good cook, so I tend to be a little critical when I try someplace new. I am not influenced by previous reviews, only by my taste buds and what I can see, and this place is an honest-to-goodness delight to both, quite outstanding. I only wish that they had had an elevator, because I have some trouble navigating stairs, but it was well-worth the climb! I don't drink coffee, so I had a hot chocolate, and asked for it to be not too hot, and not only was the temperature perfect, it was the best hot chocolate I can remember ever having. I had their "signature" chocolate chunk cookie because an article in the Bainbridge Islander had said that it was really good, and it turned out to be fresh and moist (but a little crunchy on the outside) and one of the best chocolate chunk cookies I have ever tasted. Same thing with the almond croissant and the cinnamon roll. Most bakery cinnamon rolls are big and and rather heavy. Not this one! It was really crisp on the outside and very flaky on the inside. I suspect they make it and the almond croissant from the same dough. I sat in the upstairs lounge area and listened to good music and watched a nice video about Storyville Coffee, and it looks like a great place to hang out when they have some sort of music event, which apparently they do. AND I understand that people use the place as a venue for all sorts of parties and reunions. I wish I'd known about the place when I got married at the courthouse on Bainbridge Island a few months ago. Two thumbs up!!
google avatar

Sabrina M.

Yelp
I love Storyville coffee! Best espresso I've ever had. I'm lactose intolerant and they offer the most delicious foamy milk alternatives ever! Which is so nice to have :) the baristas are always friendly and helpful. Love to hang out in there with a laptop, the atmosphere is calming and if you get your timing right they offer you FREE chocolate cake. I actually prefer this location over Seattle's because of the calmer environment and more seating.
google avatar

Yelp
Freshly roasted amazing coffee, delectable treats = Storyville. The tasting room seems like a less busy version of the Seattle shops, in a modern warehouse that looks like it and the surrounding businesses got transplanted from a patch of Woodinville. Everything is beautiful--the roaster itself has a beautiful splash of the logo on the side, there are plenty of comfy seats, free wifi, lots of natural light, why not stop by? It's not the hype of the Starbucks reserve roastery experience, which is nice (who wants to wait in a line around the block?!). It looks like it would be a nice place to host a chill party--birthday, retirement, something. Probably for an intimate size... Maybe 5-6 dozen. Definitely an inspiring and delicious spot to stop (Not to mention the other businesses in the park that might merit a visit).

Yelp
Friends raved about this place and we're so glad they brought us here!! The calmest space with beautiful decor and lighting- BUT THE COCONUT CASHEW MILK LATTE WILL BLOW YOUR MIND! they make their own coconut cashew milk and it's the smoothest, most enjoyable creation (if you're a coconut lover!) definitely recommend!

Chris L.

Yelp
Very clean place and smart friendly staff. The coffee is flavorful with no bitterness. I highly recommend Storyville Coffee Company.

Evalynn P.

Yelp
Very nice and everyone was friendly. I was given water at my table and the coffee and food was delicious. I also got a free mug which was pretty cool! It's a very nice place I will come back.

Eli F.

Yelp
This is the only coffee place worth going to on Bainbridge Island. The coffee is lightly roasted and sweet without being bitter. Don't waste your time anywhere else, the rest of the coffee spots on the island taste horrendous compared to this option. Small plates of food and delicious pastries. The cashew milk in a mocha is my favorite.

Yelp
I recently had the opportunity to visit this place. It was the best coffee I've tasted in my life. Absolutely the best.

Yelp
Nice place and the coffee is so Great. You have to try the French press. They also teach you how to make a good coffee.

Yelp
Decent place to get a cup of coffee. I feel the prices are somewhat inflated but the coffee IS good so I can't duck them more than a star for that. The staff is courteous and the place is clean. It can get quite noisy since there are lots of people meeting there.

Yelp
Is this an emperor-has-no-clothes situation? Beautiful space, and slick merchandising, but the coffee we tried was so/so. My Americano was weak/watery, my husband had a cold and bitter espresso, my sister's machiato earned a "meh, ok." We drink a lot of coffee. Given the high standards among local shops in Seattle, I am baffled by the high reviews of this place. Seriously, what is going on Bainbridge??

Yelp
Very cool lofty lounge experience. Croissants were very good and flakey. Kind of pricey tho for 6 dollars. Check in and sign up for a free coffee mug which was awesome. Staff is very friendly and nice. Lots of area to set up your computer if you need to work/study.
