On the Grid : Storyville Coffee

"Storyville is by far the most beautiful coffee shop to grace Queen Anne Hill. The thoughtful design and chipper staff make it an easy place to lounge or work. Besides great coffee, a huge bonus is the free chocolate ganache cake given out once every day." - MINT

11 Splurge-Worthy Restaurants in Seattle and Bellevue

"A while back the Seattle Times ran a rather negative review of this Pike Place coffee shop, the tone of which boiled down to “$8.50? For a latte?” And it must be said the latte is nothing special — or at least, it doesn’t stand out among all the other good lattes in town. What makes Storyville worth it is the vibe: the dark wood interior is beautiful, especially by the grungy standards of most market shops; the view looking out over the Pike Place Market sign and Puget Sound beyond is one of the city’s best; and the service is far more attentive and welcoming than your typical coffee shop. It’s a tourist trap, sure, but an enjoyable one. (Also, we’d personally rather pay $10 for coffee than wait an hour in line to get coffee down the street.)" - Harry Cheadle

We visited Storyville Coffee at Pike Place based on reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm, modern vibe that made it a perfect spot to relax. The vanilla latte was rich and smooth and the cinnamon roll was delish! The service was friendly and though i appreciated the free mug for first time visitors, i was a little disappointed when.i opened the box as it seemed like a piece the factory would throw away due to it being defective. Not sure if it was just not my lucky day! Overall it was a great escape from the busy market below. I’d absolutely return next time I’m in the area.

I got a cup of their French press, and absolutely loved it! I liked how it was really hot and stayed hot for a while. It let me just hangout for a while in the shop and enjoy the vibes. The service was also amazing! While I was just sitting there and enjoying the ambiance, one of the workers came and gave me a glass of water. This place rocks! Such a vibe too!

What a hidden gem!!! You guys…. If you’re a coffee snob, this place has amazing coffee. The atmosphere is old school, dark wood decor, friendly service , quick turnaround of tables. The staff work with a sense of urgency. Thanks for the free mug:). The queue by the time we left was out the door. The lovely lady that greeted us when we entered, even waved to us when we left. You feel valued and not like you’re just ‘another customer’. She could’ve been reciprocating our attitude but either way, I enjoyed her spirit. Please don’t take your laptop and ruin it for us.

If you’re strolling through Pike Place Market and find yourself craving a well-crafted cup of coffee, Storyville Coffee Company is nice option . From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a mellow, inviting atmosphere — the perfect place to unwind with a freshly brewed cup. The staff here is quick and efficient, and you won’t be waiting long for your order, even during busy hours (I went in the AM). The coffee itself, the flavor is spot-on — rich, smooth, and well-balanced, with just the right amount of depth. Whether you're just passing through or planning to stay a while, Storyville offers both great coffee and a welcoming, relaxed vibe. Highly recommended if you're in the area and looking for a top-tier caffeine fix or cozy workspace.

We weren’t originally planning on stopping here but we opted for a second coffee on this day to make it fit into our plans, and I’m glad we did. Storyville has some of the best coffee drinks, if not the best coffee drinks, in Seattle right now. My spouse claimed she thought it was the best vanilla latte she had ever had, I can’t decide if it’s number 1 for me or a very close second, but it’s definitely one of the two positions. If you are looking for a place, go here, and you won’t need to go anywhere else. The staff are friendly, the seating is comfortable, and the views are unique to the location.

Google
I brought my parents here, they liked the friendly service, cozy vibes, comfortable seating, and view of Pike’s Place from the giant windows. It was a nice spot to take a break from an afternoon of exploring the area! I enjoyed the iced tea and felt it was brewed well. We had a little difficulty finding the cafe at first, it’s located on the second floor.

Google
Great coffee and extremely cozy atmosphere. The cafe is nicely decorated with classy wooden furniture and modern light fixtures, giving a sleek contemporary feel. Very clean. Coffee is on the pricier side but everything in the PNW will generally be higher in price. Good place to stop by if you’re visiting Pike Place!

Google
I had to check out this place to see if the taint juice was worth the cheeks squeeze. All in all, it was an okay coffee. Their iced chai was better if I'm being 100 right now, which I always am. The place is in prime real estate and prices are on the higher side but understandable for where it's at. I got the free coffee mug which was pretty awesome. I think their branding is a little goofy though like I don't exactly feel cool drinking out of a mug that's logo looks like a freeze frame in Walt Disney's Peter Pan 1953. Very cool spot and cozy interior atmosphere. Nice baristas. This place claps but I've been clapped harder.

Yelp
This coffee spot is gas! Seattle Washington has a reputation of having the best coffee and this spot lives up to Washington's reputation. Latte was divine and balanced between sweetness and coffee flavor. It was a smooth sip every time. The spot is on the second floor of the building across the Pike Place so you get a beautiful view of the market and ocean while enjoying your coffee. Cashiers were extremely nice and courteous. They even gave us a free cup as a first time customer! I was completely enamored by this find on my visit to Seattle. The only disappointment was Storyville being closed on my last day in Seattle (Tuesday). Louie gives Storyville a solid 5 stars for their coffee, setting, and service. If you are a local or a tourist this place is a must, and I definitely recommend it to any coffee connoisseur.

Yelp
A bit of a tough spot to find, tucked away upstairs in a location lacking any signage from the street. Nice little location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of pike place below. Once upstairs, you'll likely find a line indicating you're in the right spot. I waited about 15 minutes or so to place my order. Definitely not the most efficient of coffee shops I've been too either, but the staff was pleasant. I had just gone to the fake storyville location on Madison and had one of the worst cortados of my life. Definitely learn from my mistakes and come here. One of the staff members kindly offered to comp my cortado and make a proper one on the house which I very much appreciated. Other works bus the tables and being water which is a nice touch. The cortado I ordered was quickly made for me and looked very pretty. Love to watch it settle as the oils rise to the top and form little bubbles on the surface. A good sign of good espresso. The espresso was well pulled but nothing special or noteworthy of the beans themselves, certainly good, but no top tier micro roast or anything. The real shining star here, and the only reason I'd really come back is the cinnamon roll. Holy cow this cinnamon roll, hot out of the oven, I'll admit it, I think it's the best I've ever had. Served with a little jar of icing you can pour yourself so it doesn't get too melty, genius. The cinnamon on the outside gets crispy and crunchy. The inside was perfectly gooey. It was just heavenly. You must get one of these if you come here!

Yelp
A very cute and clean coffee shop close to Pike Place market! It's on the top floor of one of the main buildings so takes a bit more effort to get up there but there is clear signage. First time customers also get a free mug ($15) if you register with your email address. Service was friendly and the barista poured our Cortado as we paid and offered a free sparkling water. Once we sat down, another server came by with waters and checked in on us - an unexpected but welcome surprise! They're definitely going for cozy ambiance but given it's popularity - the bustling line and people made it a more difficult place to quietly study or relax Coffee was good, we got the decaf this time so not much to write home about but this seems like a place meant for more heavy coffee enjoyers without the nice, aesthetic or gimmicky flavored lattes I've come to love

Yelp
This coffee shop is definitely popular in Seattle. Every time I am in Seattle, I too always stop by. The coffee is a bit overpriced since the add ons do add up. I enjoy their hot lattes. You can register and get a free mug to take home. My vanilla came out to be $11! Although it was smooth and creamy, still a bit over priced. I have not tried their breakfast sandwiches yet but heard it's good. My friend got the iced mocha and it's her fav. She always gets it! You can buy a bag of coffee bean to get a free cup of coffee as well. Service is great as they even come by and refill your water if you're hanging out and sitting there. We arrived on a Sunday morning and luckily no long lines yet! Many seats were taken though so it was still crowded.

Yelp
Vibes are good, coffee is good, but definitely expensive. I paid almost $10 for my cappuccino which is actually outrageous, but when you sign up your email you do get a free mug - at $15 valuation. Service is so friendly as well, and after you order they make your drink immediately in front of you. I got an oat milk cappuccino, which was creamy and good. The espresso flavor came through well, and it was a nicely balanced drink overall. There wasn't anything unique enough that would make me really want it again though. The space itself is gorgeous, but seating can be a little awkward since you may be super close to other groups. Worth a first try with the free mug!

Yelp
Seriously adorable hidden gem right at Pikes! This coffee shop is on the top floor of the building across from the oldest Starbucks. If you want a great cup of coffee away from the rush, this is THE place! The coffee is awesome and prepared with great care. Staff is so friendly and attentive to the needs of the customers. The baked goods are so good and a great accompaniment to well done coffee! As a bonus, if it's your first visit, you get a free souvenir mug!
google avatar

Yelp
I was attending a conference nearby so the location was very convenient. The coffee is definitely on the pricier side, but the iced mocha I ordered tasted great and staff was super kind. Usually iced mochas are a heterogenous suspension of syrup and coffee that doesn't mix very well, but that was not the case here because the mocha was homogenous, smooth, and tasty. Even though I didn't ask for water, one of the staff members brought me a cup of iced water and lowered the shades because of the hot sun. The space is a little small, but there is enough seating if you're okay with barstool seats. There is also free WiFi and outlets for chargers.

Yelp
Look for the sign on the sidewalk that says Storyville Coffee! This coffee shop is actually on the second floor so it was a bit difficult to find. I was so fixated on my google maps that I missed the sign. If you sign up with your email, you get a free Storyville cup! Also, if you purchase a bag of coffee, you get a free cup of beverage of your choice so it's pretty worth it, considering one cup of coffee is at least $6-7. Their cinnamon roll was probably the best ones I've ever had! I had it warmed up and it came with a side of frosting. I took a bite of it and the edges were sooooo crispy! It paired perfectly with the latte I had. We ended up purchasing four bags of coffee so we basically got our coffees for free. They even let us take two drinks togo. Wonderful service and friendly staff!

Yelp
Some other reviews reminded me to add a couple notes. The first time experiencing the cafe you get a free mug, offsets the high price of coffee but my pour overs were fair and delicious. They walk around and give you water and refill it, which came in super clutch when I had eaten my delicious cinnamon buns!! Really a class act coffee shop and my favorite to date!!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the layout and ambiance of this coffee shop, located on the second floor with a nice view of Elliott Bay. The staff were very friendly and I was pleasantly surprised that they also brought water for us. Although the price is at a premium, I do see it justified with the provided experience. Latte was really good and nicely presented. Added perk is this place has its own private bathroom (very clean!) and they're offering free mug to first time visitor with email signup!

Yelp
Wonderful service here. Was guided in by a pink-haired staff member and shown the elevator from the street (due to my mobility issues). New customers get a free mug (if you like the tall, slim, ikea mugs, it's great. Has the simple shop logo you find on the nice napkins they give you with your to-go cinnamon roll & utensils). Got a sample of their frosted cinnamon roll on the street. I had to get a full size, and really liked the frosted, almost crisp, baklava-like texture of the outer rings, but it got too doughy and cloyingly sweet on the inside core. My coffee ran out by the time I got to the sugar-bomb middle. Would recommend maybe taking it home and baking it a little more & having it with less sweet coffee. The ambiance was like a nice lodge-- seated myself in front of the lounge fireplace in one of the cozy armchairs. The one disappointment in my mocha with the lovely latte art was it was served far below typical sipping temperature for this sort of coffee drink. I suspect they may have taken longer to do the latte art, or perhaps the milk wasn't steamed to temperature. It was a step above room temperature. Still tasty, though. It was also great that the staff member who guided me to the elevator seemed delighted when asking me about my drink and bun of choice. Atmosphere and service was great! It was a plus to enjoy a coffee in a proper mug/saucer before leaving Seattle. Most places I saw in the area had to-go cups. You do pay premium for the experience: around $8 for my mocha with whole milk and $8 for the cinnamon roll.

Yelp
It is a hidden cafe located inside the pike palace, and need to take stairs inside to the cafe. The service is good, also I was lucky to get a cute mug once register my name and zip code. I came here with high expectations on the coffee, ordered one soy latte and one breakfast sandwich. The coffee was good , but not a wow kind. Highly recommended the breakfast sandwich, especially the bread that tastes so fresh and chewy . It was too yummy and totally forgot to take pictures. I took one star off due to high expectations on the coffee, the foam part was not smoothy as expected. Still highly recommended this place for pike palace view and yummy breakfast sandwich.

Yelp
Definitely a little pricey but worth it for the location, ambience and view. Just an americano was $6.5. However the interior has a good amount of space and decor is nice. On a sunny day, the view of Pike Place Market and the water is beautiful. Great to stop by if you're exploring Pike Place Market and need a place to rest and chill for a bit.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the most beautiful cafes I've been to (though also the most I've paid for a coffee I think $8?) Crema was delicious, cappuccino was balanced and a great place to enjoy a cup of joe while people watching or sight viewing (there's big glass windows looking out into pike place area). Would def recommend if you're around!

Yelp
I finally got to come to this coffee shop after hearing so much about it! I can totally see the hype. Storyville is tucked away in a little corner of pikes place and is the perfect place to grab a coffee and a pastry and enjoy the vibes of being at pike's. The ambiance is cozy and the coffee is amazing (i expect nothing less from seattle haha!). Their cinnamon rolls are also wonderful, I definitely recommend getting the "perfect pair" which consists of a hot vanilla latte and a cinnamon roll. Best part is that first time visitors get a free mug if they put down their email! I'm so happy because the mug is so cute!

Yelp
This coffee shop is, without a doubt, the one my best friend Amanda and I visited. On our last day of visiting (which that day was Seattle Aquarium the different attractions, we decided on this shop, and we weren't disappointed. I ordered the mocha and vanilla latte, and we split a delicious cinnamon bun. However, while the coffee and the pastry were delicious, the service was awesome. The cashier and the barista were courteous. However, what surprised me was when an employee came by with water and also to check on the customers. Bravo to that! As for the ambiance, it was plenty busy when we arrived at 9:30 AM. It was buzzing with many people enjoying their morning cup of coffee. I would definitely visit the coffee shop again when I can visit Seattle again.

Yelp
A great spot to start that Seattle romance! Imagine a rainy day, fresh delicious coffee and then sign up for their rewards and get a keepsake mug!

Yelp
I had one of the best cups of coffee here - recommend by their barista - a Mocha Latte with their Coconut Cashew Milk. Oh wow, now that was so good that I ordered another to go. This place is tucked away on the 3rd floor inside the first corner building near the main entrance in the Pike Market Street area. Apple Maps was confused - as it usually is - and didn't get me there in a jiffy as I had to search. Nearly gave up but thank goodness I didn't This place was recommended to me by someone working at the Italian grocer store across the street when I asked for really good coffee. There will likely be a line and they work diligently but you will have to be patient - yet it's worth the wait The service here is impeccable, starting with the manager on down. Very attentive and accommodating. They walk around with glasses of water and hand them out so you don't have to get one. The seating is comfortable and the place can fill up. But that Mocha Latte with Coconut Cashew Milk - oh wow - so good that I went back the next day for 2 more cups. It's really something different and great quality of coffee here so I bought a couple of bags of beans My favorite coffee place in this area of Seattle. Happy New Year!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great little coffee shop which has a moderrn interior up on the 3rd floor of the building. Thankfully, I asked an employee in the building where it was located. Otherwise, I would have fumbled around for another 15 mins before finding it. I would say it's not well advertised with little signage....almost like a coffee speakeasy of sorts. I ordered the salted caramel (one of their 3 house made syrups) iced latte, which isn't sweet like you would think. I also asked why they're located on the 3rd floor, and they said for the view. I guess that makes sense.

Yelp
A cozy, hidden coffee shop in Pike Place thats spacious and has a warm welcoming ambiance. The coffee/espresso here is good but very overpriced. If you buy a bag of beans , the drink is free which can be worth it. The coconut cashew mylk (additional $2.25) was not my fav even though I love coconut flavoring - the milk had too many clumps. Baristas are kind but the wait can take a while..!
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
An absolute gem! Such lovely decor and amazingly happy and courteous staff. The free gift was also very thoughtful! Delicious chocolate cake, delicious coffee and yummy cinnamon rolls. The cake and cinnamon roll had just the right amount of texture! The croissants were crunchy and crispy. The chocolate cake was very moist and flavorful, not too sweet, but showcased the dark chocolate. I also got a free mug!

Yelp
Third floor of Pike St #94 is the gem of Pike Place Market. There are three establishments and I liked them all. After trying Storyville Coffee today. I resisted for years coming, thinking it's too touristy. It is. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy a cup of Joe with your thoughts, this is not the place. The setting is for people to mingle, chat, or date. The coffee (I had double Latte) was excellent, food tasty yet expensive, and service excellent. The food menu was very small. That probably is a subtle hint for you to vacate your spot for the incoming crowd. Oh, they now give away a mug for first-timer, in exchange for your name and email.
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
This place had excellent service, chai, and ambiance. First time visitors get a free mug too, which is pretty nice. I saw a mix of tourists and local remote workers present. They have good WiFi and nice views.

Yelp
Went to Pike Place on my second to last night in Seattle and wanted to buy some coffee beans to take home. Storyville is a little difficult to find, but it's upstairs on the top floor of Pike Place. It's a really cozy coffee shop that has a good amount of tables for customers. If you buy a bag of coffee beans, you actually get a free drink! As I was waiting in line, I saw that they also offer a free gift if you sign up for their email promo. The line was long enough that I was able to receive the offer by the time I got to the front. I ended up ordering a hot latte, which you're able to see them prepare in the open kitchen. Loved the latte art on top. Latte was smooth with good flavor. It was great for the cold weather. Probably something I'd get again if I was in the area. I've used the beans to brew coffee and it was pretty good! Overall, really enjoyed my experience here!
google avatar

Yelp
Have always enjoyed their coffee. So it was a nice stop for a sat morning! This location is really for pick up and go. There aren't really any good seating and they only serve coffee in paper cup. (Really missing coffee shop that serve coffee in non disposable cups. Cashier was super nice! Even offered 'rocket cookies' to the kids. Love the Coffee art! Good for tourists? And local who is doing a pick up?
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
Person 1: tried the cold brew latte, it was good but not sure if I prefer it to a regular latte. The almond croissant is delicious, one of the best I have had. Definitely like this spot for a sit down coffee date, really comforting vibes and lighting. Service is always great here but I don't like when they try to get me to sign up for a free mug every time I come. Person 2: Id play chess here

Yelp
Absolutely lovely staff here at Storyville! So if you sign up via email, they give you a complimentary Storyville mug which is awesome! The cafe itself is a little difficult to find as you have to enter up a side entrance of a building in Pike Place, then walk up a few flights of stairs. I love the charming appeal of Storyville and it's cozy decor. We were lucky enough to find a cushy spot in the corner with a little table to set our drinks on. The hubby got a Vanilla Latte with pretty latte art made with cream while I opted for a Peppermint Tea with half and half. Both cups hit the spot on a brisk Seattle day. Loved the cute mugs they served the beverages in. Both beverages hit the spot and kept us nice and warm. No restrooms inside so you will have to get a key and use the communal restrooms located outside of the cafe. Great little place to rest your tired legs from a day of sightseeing around Seattle and Pike Place. I can't wait to return.
google avatar

Danae L.

Yelp
Tourists: If you grind your own beans or know a few things about coffee, you may enjoy this spot. However if your typical morning consists of instant coffee, their prices may overwhelm your experience. I enjoyed their hot vanilla latte and cinnamon roll, but I couldn't justify the cost. Definitely a once in awhile treat if I was in the area often. Definitely a cozy atmosphere away from loud public noises. Location: second floor around the main entrance of the public market. Look for signs on their sidewalk or ask a local employee to redirect you.
google avatar

Sanjna S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite coffee shops! The drinks are so yummy and you can get a free mug with your coffee. I also buy my beans here and when I purchase it I get a free coffee! People say it's expensive but I think it's worth with the free goodies, Friendly staff, clean and aesthetic ambiance, and yummy coffee & food! Today we got a cinnamon roll - it was yummy but kinda of tasted like a hybrid croissant (which I'm def not complaining about). We also got the vanilla latte and caramel cappuccino 5/5!! I would recommend this place as a treat yourself since it is really expensive for a coffee shop but totally worth it!!!
google avatar

Kacie D.

Yelp
Checked this off my Seattle list! What I got: Iced Vanilla Latte - standard drink at every coffee shop I visit. Pretty pricey, but that's Seattle for ya. Though I did enjoy the flavor of their roast, I think my shots were a bit underextracted. Environment: I like the dim lighting and coziness of this shop! It was really clean too. Service: With there being 5 people working, it was a bit slow. Drink came out fairly quick, but it took kinda long to actually order.

Yelp
I was recommended to go here from a friend because it was walking distance from our hotel, and it's right outside of Pike Place Market. It is located upstairs, but there are signs that make it easy to follow. As soon as I walked in, I just instantly felt cozy. This coffee shop is very spacious with plenty of seating. There is also a nice fireplace on the side (which is probably where I got the cozy vibes from). I was also very impressed by the service here too. Everyone was so friendly. They brought out waters to us without us even asking for it. I loved that! I ordered a hot chai latte here, and it was honestly one of the best chai lattes I've ever had. I wished I got to come here more times during my trip here to try out their other drinks. My friend got a hot white chocolate mocha, which was also really good too! I will absolutely make this one of my coffee stops whenever I come back to visit Seattle. There's also a free Storyville mug if you sign up for their e-mails, using the QR code that they provide. All the more reason to come here!
google avatar

Kaelin N.

Yelp
This was one of the best vanilla lattes I've ever had. I stumbled upon Storyville from my friend's review. She advised me to purchase a bag of coffee for a free drink, as the drink alone is a little pricey. It was a great suggestion, as my drink would have been $11! It was also my first visit, so I signed the guestbook and got a free cup (valued at $18.00) Everyone was really nice and service was quick. It's got a chill vibe that feels like an escape from the Pike's craziness. It took me some time to find this shop, so I'm gonna assume that's why it isn't as hectic as everywhere else on Pike.

Yelp
Great ice coffee and they gift a mug for every first time visitor! Get there before 10am if you want a breakfast sandwich!

Yelp
My wife and I came here while we were in Seattle. She had been here before and she loved the place, coffee and atmosphere. It's super spacious and have plenty of space. It's also beautifully decorated. We got some cups from there since they had a deal which is a nice souvenir. We also got some of the beans to use at home which we love! Will return when we are in Seattle

Yelp
First stop in Seattle was this coffee shop! It was my first time here and the vibes were immaculate! So cute and cozy ! Service was quick , I got a delicious vanilla oat milk latte with added shot it was strong and delish ! And since it was my first time I got a free cup which made for a cute souvenir :)

Yelp
Absolutely horrid! I came here along with my boyfriend, his sister & her fiancé. It was my first time visiting Seattle and I was beyond excited to try out the food, coffee & drinks of all sorts while in town. When we first arrived, we were in desperate need of a good caffeine run. We stumbled upon this place and assumed it would be great since it was located across from the public market & it had a 4.6 star rating on Yelp. I was completely wrong and disappointed that the rating is so high. It did not reflect the quality of their coffee or service whatsoever. I ordered a dirty, chai with oat milk, along with another iced latte and a chocolate croissant. I was bamboozled when the total came to a little over $30. The latte, nor the chocolate croissant were of any good. Probably the worst iced latte I've ever had in my entire life and the chocolate of the croissant was bitter. Additionally, my boyfriend's sister received attitude from the young Caucasian barista with curly hair when she asked if " [they had] flavored syrups," and if so, if she could "add it to her drink." He responded with, " well that's what they're for." We were completely thrown off with such nasty reply, and in shock. Completely disrespectful! As a paying customer, I should've stood my ground and asked for a refund for all our drinks & pastries. We did not receive the quality or service that this company supposedly stands for. Just Gross! Run away from this establishment. You're better off just not having coffee at all. Service: 0/10 Quality: 0/10 Ambiance: 2/10 Moderen & clean

Yelp
This place is super aesthetic and moody! I love it. Staff was really nice! The coffee was pretty steep but, we were able to get free mugs! (When you sign in)! We got the vanilla latte and it wasn't too sweet! (4/5) I don't think I can justify a $10 latte without the free mug though.

Yelp
FOOD: As a coffee lover, I had to try this place before leaving Seattle, and it was worth the stop. - My order anywhere is always a Soy Latte ($11.02), so that's what I tried here too, and it was quite scrumptious! The flavor of the coffee beans shone through without the milk overpowering it. It was definitely the smoothest latte I've ever had and didn't have too much milk foam. - However, I do wish that the latte was served warmer, and the portion was on the smaller side. SERVICE/AMBIANCE: It's tucked away on the second floor, and although not very big inside, they were able to really maximize the seating available with bar stools, tables, and benches against the wall. The staff are very helpful with any questions and clearly attentive when crafting the drinks. You need to use a key to access the bathroom that's detached from the cafe. OVERALL: I loved my coffee here, but it was the most expensive latte I've ever had. The interior feels very comforting and is a great spot to grab a pick-me-up throughout your day. I would come back if I was ever in Seattle again, but probably just once throughout my trip because it was so expensive.

Yelp
What we ordered: - Vanilla latte - Mocha with oat milk Our journey through Pike Place led us to the popular Storyville Coffee Company. The vanilla latte had a smooth taste. Vanilla flavor was subtle, not artificial. Hard to justify the price though. The mocha with oat milk was very smooth with a rich chocolate taste, not overly sweet either. Probably our favorite of the two, still hard to justify the price. During the time we went (beginning of August 2023), the store was giving out free coffee mugs to each guest that signed up through their QR code. So don't miss out on that!

Yelp
Friendly staff, delicious coffee , cozy atmosphere. We scanned the QR code and got a free mug that I love and use at home. The sea salt caramel cookie was delicious. I had an espresso and my husband and iced coffee. Both were good and hit the spot.

Yelp
This is an amazing coffee shop which seems hidden away behind the stairs in Pike Place Market. They had quite a long line and wait. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They also give a free mug on signing up for their email list online. The coffee itself was super tasty and had amazing latte art. I think price is a little on the higher side, considering it was $10 for mocha before taxes and tip. The ambiance is very cozy and they have lot of seating options. I want to come back to buy a bag of coffee beans which have a free drink with them.

Yelp
Cool spot! Found Storyville from Yelp. We just got a quick espresso. Staff was extremely friendly. They knew we hadn't been before so right off the bat they offered a free mug for stopping by and buying a drink. Cool vibes inside. It is a bit harder to find. You have to go upstairs. Street parking only.

Yelp
So, forget about going to the original Starbucks on an early Saturday morning, the line was a bit much. Anywho, me and Hubs decided to look for another coffee place nearby, and Yelp directed us to this place. Follow the signs and walk up some steps and find this gem of a place. Cozy place that was already seated with a lot of customers. So, we decided to take our coffee and pastries to go. Hubs got his mocha and I got a regular brew just to see what this place was about. Also got the breakfast sandwich and a cinnamon roll. Batista's were super nice and if you sign up to be on the email list you get a free mug! Yas. Free merch and momento from our trip in Seattle. After we got our coffee and walked along the pier, we were glad that we had great tasting coffee to start off our trip. We didn't get to eat our sandwich and cinnamon roll till later but both held up well and was gone by the end of the night. I wished that I bought some beans before we left but didn't have time to go back. All in all, good coffee and good eats. As we were walking around we saw their second location that didn't look as crowded, so we would have preferred to have gone there instead.

Yelp
We had an amazing vanilla latte! The ambience was super inviting and relaxing. I could have hung out there all day. You also were able to take home one of their mugs if you input your email into an iPad.

Yelp
Visited this coffee shop to recharge after being in Seattle super early morning since 6:30 AM. Pictures of the lounge had looked nice and I took a window seat at the counter. The view was pleasant with Pike Place Market down below, Elliot Bay out in the distance, and an unexpected pig statue on a rooftop. I was surprised by how expensive the menu was; the chocolate croissant looked appetizing but was a pricey $7.50. I ordered a 8oz Cappuccino for $8. The drink had a slight bitterness and was smooth, but did not amaze me for its price. Nevertheless, this place is quite popular and quickly filled with customers shortly after opening. Finding this spot was not too difficult with the instructions provided on the website. Guest Wi-Fi is available.

Yelp
Food/ Drinks- AMAZING Service- AMAZING Ambiance- AMAZING What more is there to say about this hidden gem?!? Well, nothing else besides the fact that they have the absolute best coffee in all of Washington state! Trust and believe you will love everything about this spot! Nestled away on the third floor of one of the busiest intersections in all of Seattle, this coffee shop is rather a teleporting secret. Don't take my word for it though, check it out for yourself.. Oh and don't forget to sign up for their free gift via email.. it's definitely a surprise worth the visit! Cheers to true treasures Yelpers xx

Yelp
Holy moly, thank you Yelp for this AMAZING suggestion. Thank you, original Starbucks for having such a long line that I chose not to wait in ;) Long story short, cool ambiance, helpful and outgoing staff, and the most delicious coffee and espresso. I ended up getting an iced mocha with their housemade coconut cashew mylk. One word: DIVINE. Going to try my best to go back again tomorrow...folks, they didn't get their stellar rating for nothing. *UPDATE* went back the following morning at opening...beat the crowd!

Yelp
Cute coffee shop just a few minutes' walk from the big Pike Place sign! It has a cozy atmosphere perfect for that PNW coffee shop vibe, with plenty of comfy seating for you to settle in with your drinks. However... this place has some of the most expensive coffee prices I've seen in Seattle. I ordered a mocha, which was $10 before tax and tip. That's basically daylight robbery, and while the coffee was good, it was not $10 level good. Extra star because they give you a free souvenir mug if it's your first time visiting, which I think was very thoughtful and made the visit a little bit more worth, as there will be no second visit for me.

Yelp
Such a great coffee shop in the heart of Pike place! It was a little confusing to find (you have to go up a few flights of stairs), but if you're in the area, you'll have a lovely time. I got an americano and a breakfast sandwich, and the breakfast sandwich was great. The bread was pretzel like which was delicious. It was a little pricey, but an enjoyable brunch. You also get a free mug at your first time visiting if you sign up for their emails, which was such a lovely gift for my first time coming. The overall vibe of the cafe was great, I could definitely stay here for hours doing work or catching up with a friend! Service here was lovely as well, we got surprised with complimentary chocolate cake which was some of the best cake I had had in a while. Such a special spot in Seattle :)

Yelp
Quite good. The coffee is quite roasty on the flavor, dark. "Perfect pair" is really perfect, as the vanilla latte pairs well with the very sweet but delicious cinnamon roll. Worth a stop as a tourist.
