We went for a late lunch on a weekday and were surprised to see there were only a few people sitting at the bar. We had an order of shrimp tacos (3 per order, crispy fried shrimp, topped with chipotle crema and coleslaw) , the chicken sandwich (topped with jalapeno cole slaw, spicy mayo and pickles) served on a brioche bun with a side of frites, and brussel sprouts with bacon, lemon juice and garlic. Since they feature over 50 beers, it was hard to decide which ones to choose, but, we had a Lagunitas Little Sumpin (love supporting local businesses) and a Half Acre Pony Pilsner. We are looking forward to returning and trying some of their signature pizza and a different draft or two. It seems that most people come here just to drink, but, I would recommend coming here early for the delicious food and staying later for the great drinks and music.

Awesome fun place. We drank here twice. Once at night and once during the day before our flight. Both times were amazing and I recommend going on game day. Go Cubs! We almost miss our flight for the fabulous drinks and appetizers.

Good selection of year round drafts with a rolling group of specialty pours. The happy hour is an amazing deal that goes through 7pm. Pretty good food with service to match depending on who you get. First time I went I tipped the water guy instead of my server because he was much more helpful and attentive. Great central location that doesn't get packed either, definitely recommend.

3 Stars for Service - 4 Stars for Food : One of the BEST "BAR" Food experiences!! Stout has a massive beer menu, and one of the best food menus I have seen in a long time! It was an extremely busy night when we dined here, so we had to wait for everything, greeting, to appetizers, drinks to food. However, with that now in mind, the food was great! I would highly recommend the Animal Fries. White and Yellow cheddar cheese, bacon and short rips, on top of a pile of fresh cut fries... I can't even describe how well the multiple flavors of this dish mesh together. Stout has a very unique take on the typical bar food and drink menu.

We went there as it was a short walk from our hotel and we had a taste for pizza. This place is a hidden gem!!!!!!! Holy Cow the pizza is ridiculously awesome and the prices are great! The toppings are piled high and the sauce is delicious. We had the supreme and loved the flavor. The crust is amazing and cooked to a crisp. We will definitely be going back here on our next trip to Chicago!

My husband and I were at Stout at about 7:30pm on a Friday night. We waited over 15 minutes (with menus down) for waitress to come back and take our order. (They did have 4 water/busboys constantly in the area. We tried to catch the eye of the hostess also, with no success.) Music was so loud you had to yell, and I like low lighting but the light so low it was difficult to read the menu (which only had standard pub items). They had a small draft beer selection, with about half of them sold out. With us pointedly not being served we got the impression we were not their preferred 20-30 something crowd, and we left. Our table was cleared by the time we walked in front of the building (about 30 seconds), so yes- we were correct in our evaluation. (As we were walking out I tried to say 'good luck' to another post-30 year old couple going in, but I could not be heard over the music.) We got immediate service at a pub 2 buildings down. There are lots of other places to go to- why go here?

While I was in Chicago on business my group of friends and I stopped at this rustic dive. The drinks were strong and the service was nice. It was a nice spot to stop on our late night adventure. If I ever stop back in Chicago, this place would be one where I would like to revisit. It is definitely worth five stars.

Went here as a group of co-workers to celebrate a teammates 15th year with the company. I'm not a drinker but I heard good things about the cocktails from my adult beverage loving friends. The food was really good. We had several rounds starting with fresh, warm pretzels with choice between beer mustard with coarse ground mustard seed and cheddar cheese sauce. Crispy pita points with delicious hummus, and assorted veggies. Then we had grilled chicken sliders with pickled cabbage and a thick slice of deli pickle and a yummy spread of some kind. I don't know what it was, and don't really care, it was really good. Then we had several kinds of pizza, I had the spicy pepperoni. Again, yum. First time here. The staff was very attentive to our beverage and food needs. I'd definitely come back again.
