Stout NYC on John Street never misses. From the moment we walked in, the energy was buzzing without feeling chaotic — the kind of place where you instantly want to settle in and stay awhile. The service was top-tier across the board, but special shoutout to Nay, the floor manager, and Ashley, our server. Both were attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care that everyone was having a great time. That makes all the difference. We originally came in for the oysters (which were fresh and absolutely hit the spot), but ended up exploring more of the menu and were pleasantly surprised. The chicken wings were flavorful and perfectly cooked, the calamari was crisp and light, and the smash burger? Exactly what you want it to be — juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying. Great food, great people, great vibes. Whether you’re stopping by for drinks, seafood, or a full meal, this location delivers every time. Easily a go-to spot in the area.

Went with some coworkers and it’s a great after-work spot. We split a bunch of things: ceasar salad, hot honey pepperoni pizza, fries, all the food was great! Ate so fast I forgot to take a pic LOL. Tried a few different drinks as well, the margaritas and espresso martinis were good. Our server, Mike, was awesome! He was friendly, attentive, funny, and had lots of great recommendations when we couldn’t decide what we wanted. Will definitely be back because all the food sounded good.

My company hosted a dinner here in March and everything was fantastic. From planning to execution, Shinobu, was an amazing point of contact. She worked with me on a menu, a suitable drink package, ensuring my company had more than enough space to enjoy ourselves. It was an amazing experience. The team was exceptional as well, so prompt on plating appetizers and refilling drinks, and the most kind people. Thank you Shinobu and Team!

A great experience at this location. No one served us better than Amanda, she was down to earth, easy to engage with and had us feel as though we were talking with a friend. The food is excellent. Definitely recommend trying this place out! Ask for Amanda, she is great!

Buzzing vibe, amazing service, and everything we ordered hit. Oysters were super fresh, wings were flavorful, calamari was light and crispy, and the smash burger was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Shoutout to Nay and Ashley for taking great care of us. This spot is a go-to every time.

This is my go to sports bar near my apt. Definitely recommend the wings and the oysters (surprisingly decent). Skip the burgers, it’s mid. They always have the main game sound on which I really like. Can’t go wrong with the drafts as well. You can order and pay on your phone which is nice but they also have servers going around taking your orders too. The service can be a hit or miss depending on the day you go. But overall, it’s my go to bar to enjoy a game, eat good bar bites and try their rotating list of beers.

Nice spot in Lower Manhattan. My company holds an annual event there. However, this place gets a low review because I went there with a friend afterwork last year and the bartender overcharged us. As mentioned, we went afterwork, which is 'happy hour.' The bartender didn't give us the 'happy hour menu' but the regular drink menu. It wasn't until we received our second round of expensive drinks that my friend inquired if these were 'happy hour' prices. That's when the bartender said no and provided us with the additional menu. That turned us off. My first and last time going there with friends. There are so many other options nearby.

We went there last Friday Dec 19th 2025! The overall experience at this restaurant was unacceptable. The food quality was barely acceptable and does not merit even a one-star rating. The service was particularly poor. Our group repeatedly had to ask for basic necessities that should be provided automatically. Utensils were not brought to the table, despite multiple requests. Blue cheese dressing—specifically requested for the chicken wings—the server just forgot we asked for few times., and ketchup for the fries was never provided. No napkins were offered at any point. Even soft drinks were served without straws. Additionally, the dip served with our chips had an extremely hard surface and was impossible to break or eat, making it completely inedible. The servers frequently disappeared, and we waited approximately 25 minutes simply for utensils and condiments. This was especially frustrating as we were part of a group gathering, and the lack of attention significantly disrupted the experience. Overall, this establishment demonstrated a serious lack of organization, attentiveness, and basic service standards. I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Horrible! Horrible!

Stout is a great spot to grab a drink after work -- lively atmosphere and plenty of space to unwind. My colleagues mentioned it turns into a UT bar during football season, which I love to hear as a Longhorn fan! As far as food, it was just okay. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, but the chicken was so dry that even the extra dressing couldn't save it. Still, for drinks and casual hangouts, it's a solid choice.

I was a little skeptical when I first walked into Stout because it felt more like a bar than a restaurant. Upon arrival, we were greeted by security, as it's a 21-and-up establishment. The hostess, unfortunately, was not very welcoming--she wasn't rude, but she also wasn't warm or friendly, which set a bit of a negative first impression. Once seated in the dining area further back, our experience greatly improved. Our waiter, Wendy, was incredibly sweet and kind, making up for the lack of hospitality at the entrance. The food was absolutely amazing! We tried the Stout mini burgers and the fire-roasted barbacoa street fries, both of which were packed with flavor. We also enjoyed two fun cocktails--Long Kiss Goodnight and Forever Young--which were delicious and well-crafted. The only other downside was the bathrooms, which were quite dirty and had a strong urine smell, but that's somewhat expected in a bar setting. Overall, despite the rough start, the great food and excellent service from Wendy made the experience worthwhile.

Had a lunchtime meal here, weekdays, 12p-12:30pm EST there will be seating. Smaller staff during this slow period but the food was great. I'm curious to see how it is during Happy Hour/After Work hours. Love this sports bar! They have plenty of big screens playing all the good games. Big energy. Great music I had a double smash cheeseburger with some fries and I have to say it was amazingly delicious! Seriously! I have to say I was surprised. I didn't expect it to be so tasty. Oh.. I also had over easy egg on that bad boy. So good. Their service crew is thee best. Very accommodating and they actually do a great job at paying attention to order specifics which is a big Plus in my book. Overall I had a great time at this location at 133 West 33rd Street, so if you're in the neighborhood looking for a great spot to watch some sports, meetup with friends, grab some food and drinks, check out Stout NYC! Took my parents for Restaurant Week and everyone was pretty happy. For Apps we got the Sweet n Spicy Crispy Cauliflower which really had a nice General Tsos taste. Very Crispy with the scallions and sesame seeds countering the sweetness. The chicken and veggie Potstickers were very solid dumplings for a sports bar. Loved the chili crisp in top. For main I got the Stout Burger which was good but a bit dry which was fixed when they brought out the Whiskey Carmelized onions that our waitress put in for even tho I actually ordered the mushrooms but the onions really elevated the burger so no complaints. The third course was the included pint of Stella Artois (or soda which mom got). Like the look of the place. It's quite huge and I imagine it gets packed for big games.

Pretty solid choice for a meal during a game watch. Food here isn't bad and above average for a pub. The bar area and bathrooms are clean. There seems to usually be space and it isn't too loud. I came for a Notre Dame game on a Thursday night. The majority of the patrons seemed to be watching the game so when a few tables asked to switch from music to the game audio they did. The manager also came around to turn on more screens for the game. I started with the spinach dip. It was pretty heavy and basic. Chicken wings here are good and have a nice crisp to them.

An update from my last review, the manager ijanay took care of me. She gave me and my friend a free drink and the wings are crispy this time. Very thankful for her service and I will for sure be back

Met some former coworkers here for the UFC 306 card to watch Suga get ragdolled for 25 minutes smh. Brutal card tbh, but Stout was a great place to watch a UFC event. Screens are in every corner of the bar, patrons aren't too rowdy, and we shared a decent amount of food that included wings, fried cauliflower, and loaded fries. It was a $10 cover to watch the PPV which was fine, but the $17 for a tiny espresso martini that was mid at best hurt my soul. It's these kinds of drinks that have me drinking less and less. I could have got a bomb meal for $17 but instead I got a middywap espresso martini. I was watching the whole time hoping Suga would land a BOMB and have Merab waking up delirious to the replay of him getting STARCHED on the Sphere screen, but it was not to be. You can't win 'em all. The food, service, and drinks were amazing. I shared a burger and spinach dip with my daughter. Someone else had the chicken sandwich and it was a large portion. The waitress is originally from PA and super nice.

We stopped in for a small bite and drink while out and about. The restaurant was packed even for a Sunday evening. The restaurant had an industria loft type vibe. We ordered two appetizers - the artichoke, spinach and cheese dip and the chicken fingers. The dip had a really weird almost sour taste. The chicken fingers had potential to be good but they were fried within an inch of their life...way too overdone and dry. The service was not very friendly and super slow. I'd try a different place next time.

It's been a few years since I went to Stouts but it still is very lively, especially during football season. It was a bit hard to find a spot but ultimately we did at the bar. My boyfriend and I each had a beer and then a half dozen wings. The wings were good but could have been a bit crispier. The service at the bar was fast and everyone seemed in a good mood.

Every visual element adds to the overall experience here. All items on the menu offer surprising flavor balance in every bite. I'm going to tell my family about this spot that maintains standards for both food and service. Team members delivered truly excellent help. Quality food & nice space.

The first thing I noticed walking in was how hot it was, hair went up, sleeves were rolled up, jacket came off and water to cool down. The tacos were really good, I wasn't really a fan of the drink I ordered so switched to a beer (never miss). Service wasn't bad and actually made my first b'day celebration extra special with the desert. The chocolate cake with ice cream was so rich, definitely a must try. Enjoyed the meal & drinks with friends.

Good sports bar if you're in the FiDi neighborhood. Wings, burgers, and beer. Not too crowded, but make reservations if there is a big sporting event. Screens could be larger though.

Stout FiDi is large and bustling with people especially when there is a big game on tv. We stopped by for a happy hour and our large group had space in the back to stand and network. However, anywhere we stood, it felt like we were in the way as servers were constantly trying to wiz past us with large plates of food & drink. Maybe don't have the area open to us if that's a main area for serving? The sweet potato fries were cold and didn't leave much to desire. The mini spring rolls were hot & crispy - decent.

The rude manager at this location turned away me, my family, and my Service Animal with a false claim, even after I showed my service animal's ID card and protections under federal law. terrible and tacky experience.

Good spot to stop in. Service is a little slow but not a problem with a cold drink in hand and the game on the tv. They turn the sound up for the games so a great spot if you're a sporting fan. All the food was really pretty good just wasn't anything to write home to mom about

Solid spot to grab a drink and watch any game. There's plenty of tvs to see any game and a long bar with lots of seating. There's a good range of drinks. We also enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip. The service was friendly but often did not check on us until we flagged them down which was disappointing. Overall a good spot.

Went here on a snowy, lazy Sunday with friends for dinner. Stout was unexpectedly packed because of a football game. The usual sports bar vibe was in full swing--loud music, excited groups of friends, and plenty of cheering. Our group of 5 ordered a bunch of bar snacks to share, starting with Mac & Cheese Balls (sans bacon crumble to make them vegetarian) and Sweet & Spicy Crispy Cauliflower. The Mac & Cheese Balls were a classic--crispy, cheesy, not too oily, and served with a red pepper enchilada sauce and a jalapeño on top- a nice addition for a little kick. The sauce was sparingly applied, so it didn't add much to the dish, but overall, it was solid. The Sweet & Spicy Cauliflower, on the other hand, was divisive. Everyone else loved it, but I wasn't a fan. It was your typical air-fried cauliflower tossed in a sticky, sweet, and mildly spicy sauce, garnished with green onions, sesame seeds, and chilies (which were super spicy, so watch out!). The cauliflower was crispy and not dry, but for me, the flavors didn't quite hit. For mains, we shared the only vegetarian burger option with some modifications: a chipotle black bean quinoa patty with whipped feta, arugula, tomato, and chipotle lime aioli. We added caramelized onions and jalapeños for extra flavor. Unfortunately, the aioli was practically nonexistent, making the burger dry, and the whipped feta was barely noticeable. The patty itself was thick, crispy, and a bit bland, so it really needed more sauce. The service wasn't great either--they charged us for the modifications but didn't seem to make them. Given how busy the place was, we didn't bother flagging anyone down and made do with ranch and buffalo sauce we'd asked for earlier. The saving grace? The fries. They were thin, crispy, perfectly seasoned with just salt and pepper, and tasted fresh--probably some of the best fries I've had in a while. The real highlight of the meal, though, was dessert. We got the Salted Caramel Ice Cream Wafflewich, and it was incredible. Two warm, freshly made waffles sandwiched generous scoops of ice cream, drizzled with powdered sugar and maple syrup. The contrast of textures, temperatures, and flavors was perfect. We loved it so much we ordered a second one!

We came here for brunch and ordered the power bowl with a side of candied bacon. I'm definitely a big acai bowl fan so I was excited to try it here and it was great! The flavor was perfect with the sweet fruit topping and pumpkin seeds. Recommend to anyone looking for a lighter option for brunch.

11:30 am lunch here on a random Wednesday was an actual delight. Had the place all to ourselves for a few minutes before the lunch crowd rushed in. The AC was on point as this week's weather has been in the high 90's, and the service was even better. Our hostess and bar lady were both very attentive and super nice. We had the burgers and the salt and pepper calamari. Highly recommend both.

Today, I decided to come here for lunch because I have this craving for fish and chips. I sat in the bar area, and Danielle was my server. She was great and helped me decide which mocktail to try. I told her that I had to go back to work, so I ended up trying the Feeling Peachy mocktail, which was refreshing. Then I had the fish and chips, which were cooked hot off the press. Everything was crispy and fresh. The place was not crowded. There were only three groups of diners in there during lunch. I'd definitely be returning one day for happy hour or after work. They have an extensive beer menu.

Went to nyc to celebrate New Year's Eve. We wanted to watch some football before the new year's festivities began. It was still brunch time when we arrived at 2pm (brunch was over at 4pm). We ordered the bottomless drinks, wings, spinach dip( a little too greasy) , and chicken n waffles. There was a nice crowd of people but it was not noisy. Nice size pub -we did not feel too close to anyone.

Nice big bar right in the heat of the FiDi. Beautiful and classic interior with that relaxed after work vibe. Great selection of beers on tap and liquor. Seems like it gets quite busy, lots of TVs if your looking for a spot to watch sports. The Service was very friendly and welcoming, and the crowd seemed nice too. Very clean bathrooms. MY Guinness was perfect, I haven't tried the food, but the menu looks good too. Big bar to sit at and lots of hightop tables inside too.

I've come to stout a few times over the years (both this location and midtown) and find it to be pretty reliable. The food itself is pretty good - of all the items I've gotten here, I've enjoyed the loaded fries the most, but the BBQ ribs were good for the price range (and being in nyc) as well. The fried pickles that came with the ribs were surprisingly good too - I never eat fried pickles, but enjoyed these quite a bit. The beer flight here I found to be a great value, you can try 4 beers for $12! And they had a decent selection on draft with some rotating options. That said, they had a wide variety of canned/bottled stouts (not surprised!). It's a big place that can accommodate large groups, with typically pretty good/fast service.

My son (19) & I stopped in for some March Madness madness...beers, Buffalo wings, giant pretzel, Stout burger & atmosphere. The place was rockin' and the servers were buzzing about. Smiles everywhere. The wings were the best I've had in some time. Crispy exterior & succulent interior. The pretzel was large & not Bavarian but still satisfying. I sprang $2 for the cheese sauce & it was worth it. My son said the burger on brioche was just average, but it looked pretty good from my vantage point. The beer selection is excellent too. You can order with your server or digitally off your phone after scanning the code on your table. I'd recommend a visit for a ballgame viewing.

Ranch was ok not the best chicken tenders very low quality but everything was very good and the wings must order spicy chicken sandwich was hand breaded and very good stout burger super good must try nobody here and it's almost new years must come

Nice enough spot. Popular with happy hours. However the music is the worst thing to cover all the great attributes of the place, extreme loud and not tasteful. The place even hired a DJ but not sure what is the theme it is going for. 1.5/5 stars.

This was the venue for a NYE event party. Everything that went wrong they didn't take accountability and was blaming the event host. Leave the blame game in 2022 please and thank you We paid for a table almost over $600. STAFF of STOUT passed our table twice to offer rice balls and some onion pizza (once each ). We didn't get bottle service until after 1am and we were there since 10:30-11pm. Each staff member including both managers kept blaming it on the communication between the restaurant and the event planner. No juice, no water, nothing. We kept paying for individual drinks until they figured out what the issue is with bottles we already paid for. Then when they figured out we already paid for the bottles, they ran out and didn't have what we requested/paid for. IDGAF who's fault it is - we are the customers- just serve us until you guys figure out your communication. Hot mess. And I bet the manager will respond to this with an automated message about sending them a private message so they could work it out or they'll completely ignore this You guys were a hot mess. That's it. You went into the new year being what you guys were all of 2022.

The food was so wonderful and the service is always spectacular. Had the fried chicken sandwich and it was juicy crispy and just a joy to bite in to! The servers and bartender were nice, kind, and attentive! Overall a great experience and highly recommended

I have to preface this review by saying I don't drink so I cannot review the drink selection, but the appetizers were absolutely amazing! We came as a group and the staff was awesome! They were attentive and swift. By far the artichoke dip takes the cake! Creamy, cheesy, and served with crispy tortilla chips! Perfect food and atmosphere for any group meetup

Came here during the World Cup and it was ELECTRIC. The service in this place is a bit weird. They try to do everything via phone and keep the staff to a minimal. We stayed around the corner so we came in a few times. Worth watching a big game there. Cheers!

Hi there! Just curious....it is customary to request that a guest hand over their credit card before having their bar order filled? I was sitting at the bar, which was great...but I have never been asked to pay for my drink and not been asked if I wanted to open a tap also. They didn't close for another 4 hours so I was very confused.

I really enjoyed Stout NYC FiDi location! The place was empty at the time of going, and it was nice to pick a seat on our own and the waiter was super friendly! He gave us great recommendations when we were deciding what to eat and drink! I had the spicy chicken sandwich (not pictured) and I was nervous it was going to be too spicy (I don't like spicy food very much) but it was pleasantly delicious and not too spicy at all! I was able to eat the whole thing with no worries! My friends had the grilled chicken sandwich and they said it was also very good! The show stopper was definitely the spinach artichoke dip! It was super creamy and delicious and went perfectly with the chips that they gave! I was sooo close to ordering a second, but had to refrain since the entrees were on the way! The drinks that we got were also delicious and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in FiDi!

Had a 40+ people event here tonight for a retirement party absolutely perfect. Food drinks service they nailed it! And fairly reasonable given NYC.

Full disclosure only came here for a drink and what a mistake. If you come here for a couple of beers I'm sure it's OK I have no idea what the food taste like but didn't look that great. Our bartender was obnoxious and I hate this word but it's the only way to describe him a total bitch. Don't expect a good pour of anything from any of the bartenders especially this one. Four sips and we were done we were also done with him and the total bad vibe he gave us we couldn't wait to leave the place.

Good place to grab a beer and watch the game, but nothing to write home about. Because it is not a bar that is going to make any kind of "'must visit" list in the city it's usually not slammed.

I came from out of town and as a WNBA fan, wanted to watch the Liberty game since it was the championship. The bartender said they could turn it on and the manager said no. There are 21 TVs in this building and they refused to turn on ONE tv to show a championship game in NY.

Stout is a NYC institution. All three of their locations are great and serve strong drinks and great food. The past month I've been staying in FIDI before my move to Texas and have been beyond impressed with the level of service and quality of this location. Bartenders (Devin, Alexa, Ori and Nick) all remember you by name, have your drink ready for you and are always open for conversation while still making sure everyone feels welcome and acknowledged. Claire is great and runs a great crew making sure everything is perfectly executed. Food is high quality and consistent. I am a very simple customer and went with the sliders as my main meal and they were phenonmenal. Stout is great for a post work happy hour, a work lunch or Weekend brunch. Highly recommend Stout as one of my favorite spots in The City.

Wait service and ambiance are good. However, the cocktail I ordered, Blood & Smoke, was a total rip-off. Glass loaded with ice and the barest minimum of alcohol. I was spending time with colleagues, so I ordered another one. Two of my colleagues ordered the same. The drink that arrived was very different from the first. Different color, different taste, and still only a modicum of alcohol. At $18 a drink, I felt cheated. We ordered food and my colleagues seemed to enjoy it. I would not recommend Stout.

Based solely on beer, I wish it had more selection. At least they have Guinness on draft as their namesake. Nice interior and the service was ok. Waitress forgot some of our drinks. They do flights for those who like to try things. Not my first pick, but I'd come back if asked to.
