Stout NYC

Went to Stout NYC for an after-work team event. The staff was pleasant, helpful, and attentive. The food choices were all very well prepared and delicious. The team has a good time over drinks and small plates. Thanks!

Visited Stout on a Wednesday for lunch, had their Stout Burger. The patty was perfectly cooked and juicy. The bun was toasted with butter and very tasty. Angela was our server and she was absolutely excellent, she checked in on us several times throughout our visit and got the order perfect, making sure we were good to go throughout. Recommended!

We stopped by STOUT NYC and honestly left disappointed. The atmosphere is nice — lively, with a good vibe and plenty of space to hang out. Unfortunately, the food just didn’t deliver. Dishes tasted bland, felt more like reheated bar food than something freshly made, and definitely didn’t live up to the prices. Service was fine, but when the quality of the food is that low, it overshadows everything else. Nice place for a drink maybe, but for eating out there are far better options in New York.

Shay is wonderful and so hardworking, she took great care of us even though it was busy. The Korean beef potstickers were spicier than expected

It’s a fun sports bar. It’s decorated for the fall season and it’s cute. The server knocked my beer over because she wasn’t paying attention when she was grabbing large plates off the table. The beer spilled on my pants and jacket. She didn’t comp or discount the half spilled beer. Felt weird about that. Regardless, the Blue Point pumpkin beer was really good. Wish I had the whole pint 😕

Judi is our favorite waitress at Stout! My coworkers and I come here often for lunch and we always ask to sit in her section. She’s incredibly friendly, quick, and very attentive. She’s always checking on our table and makes sure everything comes out right. Even when it’s busy, she moves fast and keeps everything running smoothly. Judi really makes our lunch visits enjoyable every time!

I didn't expect too much from what was going to be a crowded sports bar experience, but Stout came through for me on all fronts. While downstairs was crowded and noisy, the host offered us the upstairs bar, a quieter space with plenty of televisions for watching basketball, albeit at odd angles for a number of the tables. The tap list upstairs is shorter than downstairs (you can still get anything from downstairs but that means the bartender has to go down and up) but it and the liquor anecdotes was fine for the time we were spending. The gigantic food menu caters to everyone, but we stuck to basics: artichoke dip, burger, fries. It's a touch pricey - $29 for a dozen wings? Those better be HUGE - but tasty, and well seasoned across the dishes. The bartenders were fantastic, friendly, chatty when there was time for that, and fun to be around. They were also quite good at knowing when the next round was needed, all too well. It was a pleasure to be there for several hours (especially since my team won over my friend's alma mater)!

I like this place. The atmosphere is relaxed, and there is plenty of space. Some tables are outside, but most inside the venue. It's also easy to wash your hands before eating them fries. They have a good selection of tap beers. The hamburger I had was $21. I'll return here next time I visit Manhattan.

Food: 4 Decor: 3 Service: 4 Came here for a weekday lunch with a friend. Overall decent food for a pub. Blackened Salmon Sandwich smokey chipotle corn salsa, roasted tomato, black kale on a baguette $21 ~4/5. Decided to be healthy and opted for a fish sandwich, which ended up tasting pretty good. Came with a side of sweet potato fries. Service was good.

Astonishingly rude. Because we didn't jump on a table right away. I asked if my group could take over some tables that were just vacated and was told we'd have to check with the front desk. Ok, fine, I let it pass. Not a big deal. Would have liked to sit down and order food but no biggie. Then someone comes back and told me we could sit. Great! I start waving people over but they're engrossed in conversations so it's taking a moment to rally people. A handful of people start dropping their stuff off to start and I'm standing at the table talking to someone when a bald guy in a plaid shirt yells at me about not using the tables. Thanks for letting us know you don't value our business. I'll make sure my coworkers know to direct all of our happy hours away from this location.

Enjoyed a nice lunch here, the service was quick and efficient as I was on a lunch break. The wings were good crunchy with the right amount of spice.

Came here to meet up with friends for drinks. They have a very nice selection of draft beers, especially stouts and porters, which bars rarely offer a variety. They have live music on a Friday evening as far as I know. Didn't get food here, but presume it's as good as their Grand Central location.

A very cool place! It's a little corporate, but a lot of fun nonetheless. The waitress was really sweet, the live musician was great, and they brought me a massive and tasty pretzel. Would highly recommend!

I only ended up here because of a fake counter-serve restaurant listing at the same address. The atmosphere at Stout is cool and I suppose the space works as a large-group gathering space somewhere between touristy and corporate. The burger is so bad that it's hilarious. "Prime" beef. "Custom" blend. I got one of the worst burgers I've ever had. No effort at all for $19. Frozen mass-produced patty on a roll that was baked on Monday. No sauces. Garnished with lettuce and an absurd slice of tomato. At least it included fries. Service was kinda slow and obviously not optimized for the business lunch crowd. Don't waste your time or money here.

Stopped past this restaurant for a quick bite while in New York for a day trip. We met up with friends and were able to quickly get seating for a party of 6. Time was of the essence as we had to get back to our bus to return home. We ordered quick bites like chicken tenders, spinach artichoke dip and pot stickers along with a few drinks. The waitress was really busy as she let us know that they only had 2 waitresses working the floor. The food was pretty average but, did the job with allowing us to get pretty fast service. They also have a nice bar set up as well. I will return when back in the area.

Great place to watch sports, and get beers! Went there with friends for drinks! Love it!

Stand by for the rant and/or rave ..... Got the MushRm Toast & Buffalo Chicken Wings ... MushRm Toast: was ok and I wouldn't be running back over here for it tho. They put too much mayo based spread & wayyyy too creamy. I did ask for no spread=*{ Chicken Wings: Hella old oil that was used ... or ... they forgot about it ... it was too hard & too breaded. .... ....... ....... 1st and final visit. And that is all.

Every year, my industry has an award show and we have our after party at Stout and it's always a blast. There is enough room for everyone (a little tight with 200+ people but not terrible) and the bartenders and always quick and efficient. The place is kept clean and we've never had a problem when we're there! See you next year!

I really enjoy this location. The space is large and plenty of room. The tables are not to close together. There is outdoor seating and a long bar area. They have tvs if you are a sports fan. The staff are very nice and attentive. You can ether order directly online and pay online as well or the server can bring you your bill and take your order. I like the option in case it's busy. The food is pretty good here. We had the chicken and waffles and the waffles were definitely more dessert like. They were more like the waffles and dinges waffles with sugar coating. There is cheese inside too and the syrup was more of a honey and had jalapeño flavor. The burger and fries were delicious too. I enjoy their burgers you can have them cooked how you would like. I've tried their other items too before. Good wings, spinach dip, all the bar type foods are available. Prices is reasonable for the area.

Fine place to watch some sports. Lots of seating but can get packed. Standard fare for bar food. Not much else to comment on.

I walked in and decided to ask about the happy hour drinks of the day. The (dirty blond) bartender was not very friendly or accommodating (very standoff-ish). When I asked for a specific, but basic bar ingredient, she looked at me like I was crazy and answered with "uhh.. I don't even know what that is!" in a very condescending tone (maybe she didn't like my smile). Needless to say, I nicely said "thanks" and left. This woman should not be in the service/hospitality industry if she is going to have this unapproachable attitude. I would give a "0" if possible. Turn back and walk out if you encounter the bartender, as described above!

I went to Stout on 39th for an after work event - we had an open bar with tons of drink options which was great! They've got NUTRL and Craft beers available like Kona Big Wave. It was packed with lots of folks watching the games and hanging out and yet the bathrooms were still quite clean which was nice. We got passed appetizers - tons of really good options: sliders, carnitas tacos, cauliflower tacos, blue cheese chicken flatbread, Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, goat cheese bites, Mac and cheese bites! They had a way more extensive menu vs what is posted online so I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed their carnitas tacos! The service was great, very attentive to us and great vibe overall. Nice place to hang out and have a drink/grab a bite to eat

This is definitely NOT a brunch spot, if you're looking for something after work to grab couple drinks with friends and little snacks chips and spinach and artichoke dip was really good

This is a go-to place if you want a loudly, lively place to meet some friends for drinks after work and/or to watch a sporting event. Lots of tv's all around. Drinks were a little weak, but the food was good.

Super fun. Good food. Live music. Good beer selection and yummy drink menu. Love the vibe and great service. Can't go wrong at Stout.

Found this great restaurant, Stout, on Yelp! We ate a late dinner there on 4/5/25. There was live music and the vibe was welcoming and entertaining! Everything we ordered was delicious! All of our entrees were fresh and well prepared! Our grandson loved his burger and fries (try the fries with any entree, you will not be disappointed). The dessert was so delicious too! The service was awesome by Judy! She was very friendly, attentive, and caring! We liked it so much for dinner, we went back the next day, on 4/6/26, for lunch! And Stout was right near our hotel in the Times Square area! Again the food was delicious! Oh those yummy fries were perfect again! The chicken sandwich was so good! The fish was perfect; and another burger was very good! We had Judy again for our waitress and she welcomed us like good friends! She provided awesome service and made us feel special. We loved both meals and Judy's service at Stout! Thanks! We hope to eat there again the next time we visit NYC!!

Came here on a Tuesday night after ice skating at Bryant park. It was busy but was able to get seated once we saw the hostess. I've been to other Stout spots but this was the first time sitting down for food. Started off with 1/2 dozen wings ($12) which were solid, really good actually. I got the Stout burger with pepper Jack cheese ($21), which was cooked perfect and delicious. I would recommend this place if you want to catch a game and grab drinks or if you want to sit down and eat some good bar foods.

Super spacious interior. Lots of draft options. Many TVs. Great place to watch a sports game. We got a bucket of white claws (5 for $35) and some food. Fish and chips were ok.... Would probably get chicken tenders next time.

I love this little bar! We stopped by on a Friday night and there was a great band playing. We had the fried calamari and fries and both were delicious. Many beer choices too which was nice. Overall great experience.

We thought this bar had a very cool, fun vibe! The craft cocktails delicious! We got the Peach Bum and the Spin Spin Sugar - both were well balanced and the presentation was great! Service was a little slow but our waitress was very friendly and helpful!

This is a class act establishment! My wallet was left behind one night and the manager found me, found connections, kept it in a safe and in tact. I am very appreciative of knowing this high quality team is at Stout. On the evening we got great service, lots of great food, drinks and a fun holiday atmosphere. Thank you!!!! Go check it out!

Dropped by for a quick bite - the interior was nicely decorated and very clean. The staff got us a table right away and were super friendly and helpful the entire time. We ordered a fish and chips and a stout burger. The stout burger came with sweet potato fries and they were amazing! Really liked the normal fries that came with the fish and chips as well. The burger was average - the bread was a bit dry with the burger, and the oil was dripping from the burger a bit. Tasted good when I added ketchup and the chipotle sauce that came with it. The drinks were great! I didn't get a picture before we drank it all, but the pumpkin ale was great. I don't usually like beer, but really enjoyed the drinks there. Overall, would recommend for a quick bite or for some drinks!

The server Judy was superb. The wings are huge and the cocktails are just right for the holidays. The place is nice and open and beautifully decorated for the holidays. I would recommend to stop by for some appetizers and some cocktails.

Nice spot to grab some dinner before a show. Sat at the bar and ordered a bucket of Claws. YUM!

The 4th and newest location of Stout, just off Bryant Park on 39th Street, is a huge, beautiful bar with lots of seating and a menu covering all your favorite bar foods and drinks. My party of 3 received a cozy table in a back corner, away from the hubbub. There also appears to be an upstairs area, though I don't know whether that's overflow seating or just for special occasions. Our server took good care of us during our visit, making sure we got everything we wanted. I was a little let down by the selection of dark beers, which has dwindled year after year and now only represented by Guinness and Breckenridge vanilla porter. I miss the old days when Stout lived up to its name and offered a wide variety of dark beers. Perhaps the market just isn't there. Still, the beers we did order were cold and crisp. Later I switched to Jameson and soda, which was a very light pour (barely tasted the whiskey) but that's what you get for $12. The food was good! My friend ate his entire burrito bowl down to the last grain of rice. I was modestly impressed with the sliders, which are great for sharing or if you prefer three mini-burgers instead of one normal-sized burger. The fish and chips also hit the spot, with two big pieces of flaky cod and a basket of delightful french fries. Stout is a clean, modern sports bar/Irish pub with plenty of character. I'm curious about the "Wisconsin-style" thin crust pizza, and I encourage you to order the calamari buffalo style. Hopefully they'll be able to get some more stouts on the menu someday.

Went here after a number of meetings with some colleagues for lunch. Walked in around 12:30pm and was seated pretty quickly. There weren't that many people so finding a seat wasn't too hard. Ordered our food 10 minutes later and received our drinks shortly thereafter. Unfortunately that, along with the check, was the only thing that came pretty quickly. Didn't think our orders were all that involved as we ordered burgers and a sandwich so they should have arrived fairly quickly. Or so we thought. 45 minutes and several inquiries later, our food finally comes out. Other groups that came in after we did were able to receive their orders before our orders came out and our server had little to no updates for us unless asked. At the end of the day, though, the food was decent but for a lunch hour that became a 2 hour lunch because of some unknown delays with the food coming out, not worth it in my opinion. There are other, better, and more customer friendly places in the area.

Stout is the perfect place to meet before an MSG event. A fun and lively spot with great food and craft beer selection. I had the spicy crispy chicken sandwich which was delicious and the others had pizza or burgers and all enjoyed their food. Many great menu selections selection was a wonderfully tough choice. High energy and fun much like the concert we attended after - THE WHO rocked!

Food is sub par and the service is a bit slow. The place is old and could use a renovation.

I swear I would book a flight to NYC just to get this drink. Food here is average and if you're vegetarian you don't have many options. But this mocktail called The Milkyway is like heaven on earth. It's coffee based and super sweet so if that's not your show don't try it. If you ask them, it can be made alcoholic as well.

Great atmosphere. Service is very friendly but limited--it can be slow when crowded--tip and pay by smartphone to avoid long waits during college football Saturdays. Pancakes are 4-star food. This place is very convenient. Breakfast is a great deal. It will be interesting to see how crowded this place is during the Holidays come another week or two.

Decent brunch menu. Their bottomless menu looked like a great deal even though I didn't try it. The bloody Mary's lacked flavored but the food was delicious. The spicy chicken sandwich was very well done and the burger was cooked to perfection. The breakfast sandwich was a little cold when it came out but still very good

Came here for an impromptu drink with a friend visiting from LA. We sat at the bar and ordered our drinks. Mine was perfect, but my friend's drink had to be sent back twice (she had ordered a martini and it came dirty..... not what she wanted..... when they prepared a new drink for her, the glass was only 3/4 full..... third time was a charm). The cauliflower tacos were big and delicious! The place has a very nice vibe to it, and the bar scene was fun. We were there at about 5 pm, so it was starting to fill up as an after work hang. I am glad we found it...... I had been to the other Stout which has a different kind of vibe. I will return!

I don't think I've ever set foot inside of a Stout before which is shocking. I love beer and there's even one situated blocks within my job downtown. But it's just never come up until recently. Came in to check out their new Bryant Park location with a friend. This space is absolutely stunning. It looks like I'm entering a gigantic library or bank that used to be here and now they switched over to a bar. They do bottomless brunch on weekends of $25 on top of entree for 2 hours. Although we kind of just ordered cocktails and appetizers and forewent the bottomless when we came in. Things I highly recommend getting: their chicken tenders and spring rolls. Random as hell. But their chicken is amazingly juicy. Their dipping sauces are delicious. Even the ranch tasted better than normal ranch. Burgers are pretty juicy but I can't rave about them in the same way as the chicken. Completely blown away with Stout and will definitely check out their other locations sometime for happy hour perhaps and their huge draft list.

stopped by for a burger & beer... big mistake. Far better off at Irish bar next door. Ordered a pint and burger... cost $35. Terrible burger Went to Irish pub Gaby O'Hara - next door. 2 pints and bangers & mash $35 Maybe Stout too busy, but poor service and worse food quality

Fun crowded place near times square. Nice selection of beer on tap. Some available outdoor seating. Good service. Reasonable prices.

Very comfortable sports bar! The room is large - with the feel of a suburban location. The cocktails are tasty. The burgers and fish & chips are a little better than you might expect. There are many screens, making it easy to watch the game. The noise level can be loud, but not too loud.

A convenient place to grab food and drinks. They have a few locations through the city. I've been to the other locations in FiDi and Grand Central. First time coming to this location. Came here on a Thursday and it was PACKED. Waited less than 10 mins and a table opened up. Decent amount of food and drink selections. We got Chicken Fingers ($14) and fries ($8) along with drinks. Sixpoint draft ($8.50), White Claw ($8) and Jack's Cider ($8.50). Skip the cider, my friend did not like it. Tasted too light and looked flat. Almost looked like water. Bathroom is unisex with 4 stalls.

Eh, it's okay. Don't go out of your way but it isn't bad for a quick bite. It was also middle of the day on a Monday (of a holiday week) and there was hardly anyone there. Kids ordered mini burgers - there's no kids menu or anything but this was a good meal to share. Burger was okay, according to my husband. Nothing special. I loved the fries - but they are soft and salt-less (I know, I like boring fries). All in all, just average.

Best new spot around Bryant Park , and one of the best burgers in the city. I'll start with the atmosphere , it's gorgeous, and they plenty of TVs and always have whatever game you want to watch on . The bar is stunning , and served my Justin , Danny, and Sarah the Croatian , the 3 friendliest people this side of the Mason Dixon Line !!! The owners , Steo and Kerry , might the friendliest and most accommodating owners I've ever met in the restaurant industry. Do yourself a favor , get the fried calamari , the Wisconsin style pizza , and a burger .... you'll thank me !!!!

The food is tasteful. The waiter and service was great. I enjoyed the drink menu, wink has to be my favorite and enjoy draft beers. My only concern are the restroom. There should be a man and women restroom. This is extremely uncomfortable.

The place had a great atmosphere... but the service and food was NOT good... wings came out ice cold... they messed up my order twice, tried to force me to take the order but I refused twice... then they ran after us to say we didn't pay when I showed them the receipt they then claimed the system was slow... and offered no apology after accusing us of leaving without paying... it's a NO for me!

In summary : Service was so unbelievably terrible that I almost didn't leave a tip and I would never consider doing such a thing . Just awful. We had to beg for silverware and water . We had a request for a condiment and they didn't even acknowledge it. There No checking on us. Nothing . In fact when I asked for silverware the server snapped at me and said " how am I supposed to know what you ordered ? You used the app ( I was instructed to by the hostess) Also, in general don't you need silverware and napkins no matter what ? He had already acknowledged there was a food order. On the other hand, the food was delicious . The vinaigrette on the salad was a great flavor and the steak that was in my sandwich was flavorful and cooked to perfection. In general , I would avoid . It kinda ruined the evening for us .

Wednesday 12:45 pm Place was empty (not complaining) Asked for a coffee since I was driving Waitress made a fresh pot Ordered the mini burgers They were decent nice flavor but the bun was ice cold I asked for fries with some hamburger toppings because have been jonesing for poutine They accommodated me. Even though it was more expensive than the mini burgers did not care. Nicely fried with mushrooms onions pepper jack and a fried egg Put it on the menu I would def stop in again if I am in the area

Stumbled by here completely on accident after a nice meal elsewhere in the midtown area. Loved the vibe. 80's music, great beer selection (not just stout!) and super clean and upbeat atmosphere. Definitely not a NYC dive bar but also didn't feel like a gauche gastropub. I was a tourist so I'm assuming there were lots of other tourists (par for the course in the area) however I also saw groups of locals meeting for food, drink and good times.

Love this place! I come here once a week for lunch. Their chicken fingers are the best, and I've had several other items on the menu - definitely not "bar food". Bartender and staff are super-friendly, prices reasonable (for midtown Manhattan LOL).
