The best Santa Rosa Hvac company. They repaired my ac. The ac repair was affordable. Call them if you want it done fast and efficient. Their ac installation in Santa Rosa is top notch. They beat the other quote I have by over $1000. They even took a look at my heater and did heater maintenance by replacing all my filters!

I already had bids from two other companies when a friend recommended Stout's, saying they were very pleased with the services they received. I appreciated the no-pressure presentation when Steve Stout came to visit. Their bid was the best of three. Stout's installed a heat pump and two mini-splits in my home, and a solar attic fan. The three installers were friendly, respectful and professional. I was very satisfied with my choice.

We decided to switch from gas furnace and water heater to electric heat pump heating (and cooling), and initially received quotes for a central ducted heat pump to replace our gas furnace. We also reached out to Stout's to learn about options with ductless systems, but we've only had ducted systems before now. We were certain that we wanted a heat pump (after living with one for 17 years before moving back to California), but we were surprised with the many benefits of a ductless system. We alreay knew that we would need to upgrade/repair our duct system if we went with a ducted heat pump, and that was going to add to the overall cost of the system. That is probably the fact that tipped us over into the ductless camp, but we also were very interested in the efficiency of the ductless system, the ability to set different rooms to different set-points, and the fact that not having ducts means not having out-of-sight places where dust would build up. Plus, the ductless option gave us a furnace-sized space for extra storage in the garage! Stout's team did a great job installing a Rheem heat pump water heater and Daikin "multi-split" ductless system (one outdoor unit, and 5 indoor units, covering all of our 3-bedroom home's needs). The equipment is running very well, providing plenty of hot water and cool air. We're confident that the house will be comfortable throughout the winter as well, as the system was well-sized to our needs. I'm very happy that I gave Stout's the chance to teach me about ductless mini-split systems, and their crew of technicians were excellent to work with. I would absolutely make the same choices if I had to do this all over again!

Stout's Heating & AC did a superb job on our furnace replacement. All members of the team were exceedingly professional and courteous. They conducted high quality work at a very reasonable price. Other vendors offered to charge over three times what we were quoted by Stout's. I highly recommend them for any heating/AC work!

They cleaned my unit and tested the cooling and told me it was good to go. No made up repairs or extra fees. The maintenance fee is all i paid. As a single woman, I’m always concerned about being taken advantage of by service companies. I’m truly grateful I was referred to Stouts!

We had a furnace replaced and moved which was a big job and they got it done in one day. They offered to come modify a small issue free of charge. they showed right up on the time that they set up with us. Extremely nice very professional laid down Plastic across the rug in our bedroom, so not too dirty it FROM being under the house. Wasted no time to put AC in our house. very satisfied with the work.

My lg mini split stopped working and my home warranty company said they would not cover it because of a faulty installation. I went to Stouts to get a second opinion. They were here for over an hour and a half and found nothing wrong except for a few minor adjustments that they made and now it works great. It was a charge of 150 because it was meant to be a 2 opinion not a regular service call. They are kind, responsive and honest. I highly recommend them.

We had several leaks in our air conditioner, which David from Stouts repaired. He was totally honest about our options, and we got it done wayyyy cheaper than an offer from another company. David cared about us, and cared about the job. I would recommend Stouts to anyone with heating/ac issues!!!

I called Stouts to have my heating inspected and an issue resolved this winter. The problem was misdiagnosed as the thermostat. When I called to have the bill reduced to a logical amount (not the time spent on replacing the thermostat), they obliged. However, they will now not return my phone calls for someone to come out to try to resolve what the actual issue was. $175 down the toilet, they diagnosed the furnace as fine, it is in fact, not fine and I am stuck without heat and having to spend more money to have someone else come out. I unfortunately cannot recommend Stouts.

Awesome workers! Efficient, kind, above and beyond work ethics! Management very helpful with loan! We live in a 55 and older mobile home park, so you never know what things could happen when installation begins! All went smoothly!

David and Austin did a great job to install a new heater, with guidance from their manager Dennis. They removed the 70 year old heater and connected the new heater to existing ducts. So we would not have another cold night, they worked tirelessly from 8am, and finished at 8pm, including cleanup. They were courteous and professional the entire time. When there were challenges with this 120 year old house, they improvised to deliver a high quality result.

We had Stouts install a ductless system in our 100 year old west county (Sebastopol) home this summer. They offered one of the most reasonable quotes out of 4 local HVAC companies we spoke with. Stouts was honest, professional, and prompt. We have an infant in the house and their crew was extremely accommodating. When they were working outside they would let us know prior to drilling or cutting in case our child was napping in the nearest room. They always remembered to put shoe covers on prior to entering the house and cleaned up all debris. It's been a few months since the install and we couldn't be happier!

My furnace went out on Monday evening, called Stout's Tuesday morning and they had an available service call for Friday. The technician showed up, diagnosed the furnace problem, replaced a couple of parts and was done within 30 minutes. I am no longer freezing my behind off. Very low cost. I Highly recommend Stouts .

Our furnace air conditioning unit went out after a power outage/surge by pg&e. This happened in Dec. We found out that we qualified for a wonderful program HEAP that assists people with their heating/cooling needs. HEAP did all the work setting it up with Stout Heating and Air conditioning. They had the new 5 ton furnace up and running in two days. They repaired the ducking so the heat would go to the second story. The first time that has happened since we moved to the house 4 years ago. Everyone involved was very nice and professional. We are thrilled with our new unit...thanks so much HEAP and Stout Heating and A/C.

We renovated our house in 2014-2015. Having moved to the area from Southern California where the HVAC system installed for a renovation there never worked properly--we ended up spending thousands to add a zone system--the one thing we asked our contractor here was to please please hire an HVAC company that knew what they were doing. He hired Stout's and we have had a worse experience than down south. Our heat pump has never properly cooled the house (or heated the master). Our contractor stopped working with Stout's years ago because of problems with our reno and other client issues. We ended up paying another HVAC company to install a ductless unit to heat and cool the master separately because it was always a vastly different temp than elsewhere. The heat pump has had to be repaired twice: the first repairman said it was poorly installed (including screws not tight enough so coolant was leaking over time), and to add another return in the house, which should have been done in the first place, and the second repairman said that the condenser should never have been installed under the deck as the unit requires 4 ft if clear space above it to work properly. He also said the condenser was very old. I said it couldn't be older than 2014 when it was installed and he said the unit is from 2009 and that companies sometimes buy old unused equipment at a discount. Last week, I asked an HVAC guy who came highly recommended if he'd look at our system to improve it. I said it was poorly designed from the beginning. "Let me guess, he said, "it was done byStout's. They're notorious for too few ducts and incorrect--too small--duct sizing." When he inspected it he said it was worse than he'd imagined and, as expensive as it will be, suggests we rip everything out and start from scratch. Seriously??? Whatever you do, do NOT hire Stout's. They do not know what they are doing and you'll end up paying multiple times over to try to correct their mistakes. Update: Shortly after writing this review, I decided to call Stout's to share what I've been told. Dennis came out and argued against everything else that was done or we were told. He said he didn't remember the house and wouldn't have done things that way, and probably Fred (now retired) did the job. He said not to add a new return and he had a much less expensive fix. He said he would send a proposal. He never did send it and soon after our contractor confirmed Dennis did the job in the first place. Again: steer clear of this company!

A complete misrepresentation of our repair needs, attempting to up-sale an "unrepairable" furnace that did NOT need replacing or repair. Two subsequent Companies said furnace was fine and repairable if ever needed. Tech threaten to shut down our heating system due to potential Monoxide poisoning mid winter. Repair bid was $9,000. over subsequent bids. To me, clearly attempting to take advantage of the elderly. They later returned my money charged for service call, the owner said he believed his Tech that our unit was unsafe and emitting monoxide. Peaceful resolution.

After working with Stout's through the years, I've concluded they have to be the definition of superior customer service. From the friendly, courteous office staff to the knowledgeable service personel, they never disappoint. After calling them early one chilly morning to make an appointment, they squeezed me into their tight schedule so that I would have heat ASAP. Dave arrived promptly, not only fixed my furnace, but while here, throroughly checked the efficiency of my equipment, made improvements, and also replaced an inadequate thermostat. Stout's goes above and beyond all expectations and they do so with exceedingly fair prices for their products and reasonable service fees. I highly recommend this business.

The worst installers I could have had. The unit I paid thousands for not long ago was installed improperly. Techs had to be called back several times already to repair the problems due to poor installation. The installer was so young he looked like he just graduated from high school. Someone that young does not have the necessary experience for me to trust my expensive investment to and neither should you. I regret forever for hiring them. I would rather have spent more and hired a company that does good work had I known the shabby, sloppy, junk work they would do on my unit. On top of that, the wife of the owner who handles the phone, was rude! Listen to those of us who had very negative experience with them and hire companies who have no negative reviews. There is a reason why they received bad reviews. Lowest price is not always the best as I found out.

Absolutely terrible! The technician Kurtis was very disrespectful, raising his voice. Because I had to call to confirm with North coast Energy about the repair job I was told was substandard by the state inspector. He left his iPad by accident on my porch and instead of coming to the door like a professional. He hopped my fence. It scared me enough that I called the police. He 5hen lied about 2hat happened. When I tried to discuss the issue with the owner and warn her that she had a liability on her hands. She was equally hostile. If you do have them work for you beware!

These guys did an excellent job installing our new heating system. They showed up on time, did great work and left our home neat and clean when they left. Would highly recommend this company.

This company beat other competitors price by thousands of dollars. Fast, efficient service, vocal in keeping you informed of each step of the process. Removed and replaced all ducting and HVAC equipment including installing 2 solar attic fans in 2 days. Baffled and designed duct system so equal flow served near the furnace/fan but stronger air flow at the farthest point away. Installed a wifi thermostat so you can control your house temperature from your Smartphone...Nice! Best of all, so quiet, 96% efficient unit, what a difference!! Cleaned up after themselves, all new floor registers to boot. The entire crew and the Stout's family very knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend this company to friends and family.

Amazing work, from the initial phone call through the installation. Stout's replaced terminally old floor/wall heaters with a Daikin ductless system. Couldn't be happier. They kept me in the loop through all phases of the job, answered questions, worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Stout's Heating & AC, INC.

Had a service call for our furnace and two days later it stopped working. Quite possibly coincidence but thought we should try another company. Stout came out and found a bundle of shorted out wiring and replaced it. We were grateful for a quick resolution at a reasonable cost. But we noticed immediately that the heater was running twice as long to heat the house, and then noticed that the condensation outflow from the heating system was staining the patio and had a horrible smell. Called Stout right away to let them know that something was up, and was told that I'd get a call in a few days to schedule an appointment. No call. Called them and left a message reminding them that we needed a hand - in the couple weeks since this had happened our PG&E spiked because the blower was on all the time. They never called back. I can understand that something more might have been wrong with the unit than was spotted on the first visit, but I'm not ok with being ignored twice for requests for service. So now we're still looking for someone to help get our heater back up to par, but it won't be Stout.

We had a lot of trouble finding a responsive HVAC company when we were looking to add AC to our retail store. Stout's sent someone out as scheduled, and promptly provided us with a great quote. They are an upstanding company, and have been a pleasure to work with. They use quality products, and have great customer care! We went with some ductless units on their recommendation, and they are perfect for our space, we love them!

I manage apartments and Townhouses and I have called Stouts several times to fix someone's heater, they always come out quickly, usually the next day if they can. They diagnosed the problem and fix it - Price is fair and they do quality work. I appreciate this kind of company and it is a pleasure for me to refer them to other people when I hear of someone needing this type of service.

One of the best contractors I have dealt with in Sonoma county. Responsive, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. They helped us decide between a conventional HVAC system and an all electric Daiken mini split system. They could have made more money with a conventional system, but that was not pushed on us. We decided to go with the mini split system and are going to get a solar energy system so that our heating and air conditioning is essentially cost free. I had one problem with our new system and contacted Stouts and a serviceman was out to fix the problem that day. I highly recommend Stout's.

Stout Heating handled my wall furnace going out in a great fashion. Fred came out initially and expedited the paperwork with my management company. Dennis was in and out and all cleaned up in a little over 2 hours. Very friendly, helpful, and competent. Would always recommend them.

We had an A/C system added to our heating system and Stouts gave us a very good price on companion Coleman A/C unit and installation. They came out and inspected what needed to be done and gave us a quote. On servicethe day of installation, my wife and I decided to move the location of the condenser/fan to the other side of the house,which would be a more difficult installation. The installers called to find out what the additional charge would be, and were told they could do this for the same price. They did the install and were very professional in their workmanship and their approach to my wife and I. It was a pleasure dealing with these guys and with Stouts. I think their commitment to service and the customer is outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC.

After frustration getting straight honest information on a new Heat/AC unit from other services in Sonoma County (Windsor area), I called Stout's. I just felt like I was being oversold by others. I liked the "All in the family feel" and decided to give them a try. Owner, Fred came onsite, gave me a very competitive bid, spoke straight and clear on what I needed and did not need. Best bid, all time promises met, clean and efficient installation. Excellent customer service, great experience.

I am very pleased with Stout's. Their bid was the lowest because they tailored it to my situation instead of just doing a boilerplate based on square footage. All of my questions and requests were received and answered immediately. The installation crew were experienced and pleasant. I would have given a five star rating except that an adjustment was overlooked during the install and should not have been. However, as soon as I reported it, they had a service person there in less than two hours.
