This whole place is an experience everyone needs. The family that runs it puts their heart into the food and I can't remember the last time I had a sandwich this good. Grabbed a half regular cheese on the lunch special and the thing is super juicy, perfect amount of cheese and the bread is soft and fluffy in the best way. The place is Walking distance from water street. Little mom and pop shop where the vibe and atmosphere is immaculate. The owner says hi from the kitchen anytime you walk in and if he gets a second he'll come out and say hi. 10/10 you have to try it.

Google
Small family-owned spot perfect for a quick lunch. The bread was soft & they didn’t skimp on the meat, cheese, or peppers. Paid $12 for a full chicken cheesesteak which seemed reasonable.

Google
Had the philly with cheese and mushrooms. Meat was tender and good. Bread sub roll was soggy also ordered deep fried mushrooms and they looked good but were cold and runny and soggy inside them too I did call and leave a message about them but guy who answered just said ok was 28. For 2 sandwiches and fried mushrooms and left 2 tip. So priced fairly if we didnt have these issues

Google
We have been wanting to try this place for awhile and decided to give it shot and so glad we did. Have lived on the east coast for the last 10 years and would road trip up to Philly just to get good cheesesteaks but this place has to be the best Phillys outside of Philly. We order the garlic parm cheese steak that was bursting with garlic flavor, the broad street bully cheesesteak that was huge in portion and just mouth watering and lastly the bacon cheese burger. The service walking in was very attentive, the inside was small and chill like a typical sandwich spot but very clean. As I was leaving the gentleman in the back which could have been the owner also interactive. We will definitely be back.

Google
Never been here before but heard really good things. It’s not in the fanciest area and it doesn’t look special from the outside, and that’s how you know it’s a good place to eat. I ordered the hot pastrami and it’s was delicious. Prices were very good considering today’s economy. Would try this place again as they have so many ways to make a cheesesteak and burgers.

Google
My honest review from a verified foodie lol! I was looking for a Philly cheese steak shop in my neighborhood. I'm finally branching out in my area. I researched and found this spot. After reading some of the reviews I thought I'd try it out. I tried to order most everything I liked from sides to two sandwiches. I ordered the Southern Philly Cheesesteak and the Pastrami. I ordered fried mushrooms, onion rings and the parmesean fries. I'll start with the sides. They are a NO for me. The onion rings are definitely bag bought not real onion rings (I'm an onion ring connoisseur and I know these are just frozen bag onion rings and yuck!) I haven't been to any place that can top Famer Boys Onion rings anywhere! Farmer boys use REAL big onions adn fry them fresh on the spot! The fried mushrooms same thing frozen bag mushrooms and again yuck (I love mushrooms too...and these were not the biz!). I'm not too sure what was going on with the Parm fries?? They were seasoned really good but hella greasy....Parm oil?? They were soggy and not crispy at all. Funny part is I couldn't eat all of them so I saved them. I actually ate them the next day and they just tasted like I was eating a well seasoned baked potato in the form of fries Lol! Now on to the sandwiches...I give them a 3 star out of 5. Reason is because I take one point away from them being too salty on both and a point away from the bread (the roll). I didn't care for the bread too much. Other than that the sandwiches were really good! I had so much food I got full quick. I saved the halves of the sandwiches left for the next day and they were still really good. The two guys that worked there (maybe he was the owner up front?) and the chef in the back Both hella cool! Bottom line is would I go back? YES...would I recommend? YES so try them out I think you'll like them!...I won't order the sides again (I might try the parm fries one more time) but I will definitely be back to try more sandwiches on the menu!!

Google

Google
Tha bomb. Bread soft and the serving size is awesome. Service is better than 4 seasons. Will drive from North Las Vegas just to get my fix. I'm telling everyone about this place.

Yelp
Really good cheesesteaks and burgers Will be bag again.Workers really friendly. Thank you for a wonderful meal

Yelp
This is a review that truly pains me to write. I consider a locally owned Mom 'n Pop take out or eat-in restaurant to truly be the backbone of a strong economy, and is true materialization of The American Dream. Having said that, I have dined here 3x in the past year, and every time, the Philly cheesesteaks were mediocre at best. Bland, overpriced, and simply not worth it. I went back each time ordering something different hoping I was wrong, but to no avail. Service is friendly. Ambiance is nice. But the food flavour, quality, and value all fall short unfortunately.
google avatar

Louie S.

Yelp
Permanently closed. Sad to see them go as they had some awesome sandwiches. The staff was also friendly and would check on their customers to see how they enjoyed their meals.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Located right on lake mead pkwy and water st in Henderson. Prices are very reasonable. They make a variety of different cheesesteaks and their fries are really good as well. Service was really good. They are fast and nice. Ambiance is cool. Had some good music on in the background as well. I would def try this place out if you haven't yet.
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely the best Philly steak sandwich in Henderson. Everything was made to order. All of this for only $22. I opt in for the half sandwich with fries and drinks because I can only eat that much. I shared the fries with my husband. Fries was well seasoned. I am looking forward to our next visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Drive past this place and book marked it. It's on the corner of Water Steet main entrance in a lot next to a laundry mat and hotel. Sounds crazy but it's a hidden GEM! Delicious Philly and the garlic parmesan fries were fire! When you walk in its a casual dining spot, lots of pictures and funny quotes on the walls. You can see the cook in the kitchen whipping up the food. The gentlemen behind the counter greeted us when we walked in. We looked over the menu and decided to do their #1 - classic Philly, fries, and large drink 2nd item was a bacon Philly. 4/5 stars - Classic Philly- white american cheese, meat, and grilled onions. Couldn't give it 5 stars cuz I wish the bread held up better. It was juicy and the bread got soggy quick. 3/5 stars - Bacon Philly- white american cheese, and added provolone too, meat, bacon, grilled onions. There was also peppers on it forgot to tell them no peppers. Think it would've been 4 or 5 stars with out the peppers. 4/5 stars - garlic parmesan fries upgraded the fries on the combo for additional $2. Fries were crispy and the garlic parmesan sauce was so damn good. Only thing is they put so much sauce we had to remove fries from it's original container so it would get soggy.

Yelp
The Philly cheesesteaks here are amazing. I was told ahead of time, but I didn't believe them. I had to check this place out for myself. It's not a very nice looking restaurant, but they make it comfortable enough. I wouldn't go to a fancy restaurant for a Philly cheesesteak. Entire staff here was very welcoming. I'm glad I got to experience the best Philly cheesesteak in town.
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
This place was very good don't know what happened drove by the other day and there was a sign saying permanently closed. So sad hope they are ok. We would come often for the great food. This is sad.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm originally from Philly and this spot is VERY similar to Jim's in West Philly...BOMB AS FUCK! Garlic Parmesan fries were amazing. The steaks were amazing. The pictures don't even gather you the way I want them too so cousin, go get you some and see for yourself! Trust a Philly Native #66th&Broad It's the correct bread; it's the correct meat; it's the correct cheese options AND they got a thumbs down photo of Geno's I'm home
google avatar

Alecia K.

Yelp
I usually love their garlic parm fries here. Most the time the regular guy behind doing the cooking and grilling, solid dude and has always gotten my order right. There were two guys I didn't recognize in the back doing the cooking. I've always asked for my fries extra extra extra well done. Like, Crispy, crunchy and so on. It was not done this time. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The garlic parm mixture doesn't taste the same. The fries were still soggy and did not seem well done at all. I trusted the order was right and just took it home instead of checking before I left. Which moving forward, I will be thoroughly checking the order before leaving the restaurant from now on.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
Ordered a delivery. They are literally 2 blocks away. When the meal was delivered there was no sandwich just fries. I called to report the error. They refused to correct the error and said I would have to call Grub hub to get a refund this is the 2nd horrible experience I've had with this business. NEVER again!
google avatar

Yelp
This was essentially a little hole in the wall next to a laundromat and was a last minute find for lunch due to working in the area. You order at the counter and they call your number when the food is ready. There were 2 orders ahead of mine and it only took about 5 minutes to receive my food. Wow! The food was awesome! Their cheesesteak selection is superb. I got the broad street bully without bell peppers and it was overflowing with meat. It had maybe a 3 out of 10 spicy level with perfect acidity from the pepper combinations and the cheesiness was great. The regular fries had the perfect crunch and to dip I got ketchup and ranch (which was homemade!). Highly recommend.

Yelp
1 word...OFFICIAL! Owner greets everyone who comes, walks around to make sure everything is good and sends his farewells when you're on the way out! It's no wonder why they've been around as long as they have. Due to a wrong turn, glad I finally had the chance to stop.
google avatar

Yelp
My family and I are from San Antonio, TX and wanted to try this place out when we were in town. This spot is legit! I had the South Philly, and ate that sammich with a big ass smile on my bearded face! If you love your family you will take them here for some really good eats!
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
I ordered from this restaurant for the first time tonight. The sandwich was good and a great value. The portion size of the fries however, was lacking. I paid almost $4 for fries and got a small container smaller than what I would have received at a fast food restaurant.
google avatar

Robert F.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much from the outside and I've driven by many times with saying " I need to check this place out sometime" Well that sometime finally came and I'm sorry I waited so long to try these delicious cheesesteaks. They do a few things and they do them well, they have every variation of a cheesesteak you can think of and if you look over the menu you can find the one you want. The guys at the counter were great and the food came out fresh and piping hot. I'll definitely be stopping by here again soon.

Anne H.

Yelp
Clean and welcoming. Ordered food to go for the family. There were enough tables inside to sit and wait. The food was made in a timely manner- about 10/15 minutes for 4 meals. Containers stayed warm until we ate. We had a couple Gyros and cheesesteaks. Fairly priced- you get a good portion of meat in each dish and it's seasoned well. It is a little on the greasy side, but tased great. The sandwich bread does fall open a bit. and they had open loaded cheesy steak fries that are a good option for kids. Sodas are standard fountain Sodas. They did have icecream in store as well, but we didn't buy any.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is excellent and so underrated! I got here weekly. I always order the Philly cheesesteak with jalapeños and fries to go. Always comes out hot and fresh and the meat melts in your mouth. The guy who makes the food (might be the owner) is soooo friendly! Great bang for your buck.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Like usual the food was hot and delicious. The cheese is under the meat and I like my sandwiches super cheesy so I got some wiz on top too. I love the fries here because they have a nice outer crust - definitely need to eat them fresh tho like most fries. I always want to try their other menu items but I just can't miss out on the philly since I drive from the west side to get it. The owner is usually there and is super nice too. Love supporting this business.

Yelp
We LOVE straight from Philly. We make a point to come every time we travel to Vegas. The restaurant is a small place with several tables. The orders are always up quite fast even when fairly busy. Our favorites are the garlic parmesan fries (still crispy even when you get them to go and absolutely loaded with flavor), the garlic parmesan cheesesteak, and the cherry pepper cheesesteak. Love that their menu are all base sandwiches and then you can add what you want so each sandwich is made to order rather than asking to remove anything you don't want. Highly highly recommend!

Yelp
annnd straight from the banks of the Schuylkill river, weighing in at a healthy 10oz before the specialty toppings! jk...I'm originally from Miami, FL and my life is almost evenly divided between the SE and the NE of our great nation, but I've always loved a good Cheesesteak, and I'm of course glad to see Philly repping so hard way out here in the Nevada desert. (might not feel the same during football season, but I digress) You know it's totally legit when all the signage says "Cheesesteaks" as opposed to "Philly Cheesesteaks" (there simply is no competition to them ). Anyways, "Straight From Philly" is a self explanatory establishment, with prime corner spot at the edge of the Water Street District here in Henderson, Nevada (the second largest city in Nevada, you can look west and clearly see Las Vegas a stones throw away). The floorplan is open and generous, the decour is clean, authentic, and laced with Philly humour and grit...and the Cheesesteaks are proper! I gotta say as a Florida boy, that I was down to my last $30 and really hungry with my tank on E, I'd probably park out front, order two original Cheesesteaks, and worry about the rest in the morning...$30 isn't even a half a tank in Vegas anyway The owner wasn't in, but service was excellent, and the grill man straight up said he's the "last one fired and first one fired" I'll be back!

Yelp
This is a hole in the wall place for sure, it's next to the laundromat I reviewed previously. I always get a meal here when I wait for the laundry to finish. The service was amazing, they were extremely friendly the moment my son and I walked through the door. The guy at the cashier recommended some items but I was there just to feed my son. We got the 3 piece chicken strip meal, it came with a soda and fries. The chicken strips were delicious nice and crisp. The fries though needed some more love. The texture was like eating cold fries but room temp and soggy. My previous experience here I ordered the flamin hot chetto cheese steak and the atomic Buffalo cheese fries. If you like cheese this is right up your alley with all the cheesy greatness. (Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures when I previously went) It was hot out but I kid you not it felt like there was no AC. You walk into this place and it was like you were still outside. This could be because it was hot as hell outside and it could have just been me but I was sweating walking in and out of that place. Would I recommend- most definitely!
google avatar

Ava B.

Yelp
Best cheese steak sandwich! Worth the drive. Right on the corner of Water street and Lake Mead. Get the garlic fries 10/10
google avatar

Joe P.

Yelp
Damn. First time here and I was surprised with the friendly atmosphere and the welcoming attitude the people there. I straight up asked them if they have whiz, and the answer is YES! So I ordered the south Philly with whiz. It was loads of meat and whiz. Just the way I like it. I believed they have combo meals that starts at $12.95 with fries and drinks. That is not bad. Yes, it's just a simple old joint but the service and the hoagies are great. I recommend this place. 5 STARS.
google avatar

Brad D.

Yelp
Cannot believe that I have not left a review for this place. Do not judge a book by its cover. Unassuming storefront next to a laundry mat on the corner of Water Street and Lake Mead houses a spot of East Coast heaven. Hot steak with gooey cheese in a warm soft roll. I ate it too fast to take pictures and have mouth burns to show for it. Got the garlic parmesean this time and it is as wonderful and flavorful as every other kind I've tried. You want a true Philly you should come here
google avatar

Portia F.

Yelp
Hella sweet guys I asked for a Philly with no meat or cheese like 30 mins before they closed and I know that had to be a wtf for them but they were super sweet about it and my sandwich is BOMB! And fully plant based! Maybe except the bread but shit close enough for me! I literally went and got a vegan Philly yesterday that was trash and when i asked a vegan place if they can substitute mushrooms for the fake plant meat they said they wouldn't when this place easily and kindly replaced the steak for me As a person who really struggles in being brave enough to ask for modifications because of my diet I super appreciate this kinda kindness thanks yall and the the fact that it's this good is just an added bonus Also fries are fire
google avatar

Emily B.

Yelp
What happened to this place? Ordered pickup. Sandwich with mushrooms, and cheez wiz. Sandwich has no cheez wiz. Fried mushrooms burnt to a crisp. I have them remake the items. Mushrooms are still slightly burnt ( see photo) and ICE COLD in the middle!!! Used to love this place. Staff rude and disappointing.
google avatar

Estella T.

Yelp
Ordered take out today we needed a quick yummy meal! Ordered a cheesesteak with added onions, mushrooms and bell peppers. One with mushrooms and whizz. We also got a gyro and feta fries. Service was fast and they are nice. Restaurant is clean and since it's close we usually order here when we a Philly fix.
google avatar

Jen V.

Yelp
I ran over on my lunch break and got a cheesesteak with grilled onions and added chipotle cream and ranch that was something they added to another sandwich. It was so good!! It was fast and delicious and the service was great, everyone was so kind and happy. I'll definitely go again and have the exact same thing. Thanks for lunch!
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
One the best Phillys but cheaper then pops just has good as pops too I highly recommend you guys giving it try
google avatar

Reba S.

Yelp
Passed by this place for years before finally stopping in. Wish I had done so sooner. This is one of those "dives" you don't want to miss. Cheesesteaks are great, fries as well. The people working there were friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.
google avatar

Jonathan Z.

Yelp
I use to come here a lot when I would come back from a hike near Hoover dam. The food is amazing and the portions are very well served, the price is fair personally speaking! The service is top notch as always. It had been a while since I've stopped by since I lived about 40 min from it, but now that I'm about 10 min away I will for sure become a regular here. The ambiance is amazing as well, the decor is everything from DC/Marvel, sports, movies, cartoons and etc. Staff is super friendly and get to you right away, easy to make conversation with. When you're coming in or even leaving and heading out the door, everybody from the front of the house to the back of the house will greet you and let you know to have an amazing day or evening. They truly make you feel welcomed and make you want to come back.
google avatar

Yelp
First time ordering delivery from here. We have not been in person. Opted to get the Cheesecake Hoagie with beef, provolone, onions, lettuce, tomato, hot cherry peppers and Mayo; the Smokin Chicken Cheesecake which has provolone, bacon, jalapeños and yummy sauce; onion rings; and fries. All were delicious. Loved the bread and nice size for the price. Cheesy and good portion of meat on both. Onion rings and fries were hot and tasty. We will be back in person to check them out.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing i frequent this place weekly and have never been disappointed, the food is fresh and and hot customer service is amazing as well

Yelp
It's been a minute since I was back in Philly, and I saw this spot while driving during my lunch break. Let me just tell you: this spot is legit. From the service, to the ambiance, and absolutely the food. I'm not a Philly native, but I'm sure this spot hits on all levels. Don't miss out!

Chris C.

Yelp
Delicious food! My car was at the mechanic and I thought I had time so I tried the North Philly Cheesesteak and Garlic Fries. I was so excited to eat the steaming hot food I could feel burning through the bag. BUT My car ended up being ready right away so I didn't get to eat the food til about 30 minutes later........And it was still Hot!! So good with lots of meat and bomb fries. Also, the customer service was awesome. I ordered the garlic fries with melted cheese and the guy looked at me weird but went with it. He placed the cheese separately in a cup which was the best choice. And yes, the cheese was also still hot! Long story short, can't wait til My car needs service again.

Yelp
03/18/2023 Saturday , on our way home from Arizona we were hungry and Yelp had brought us here. According to Yelp this was 4.5 stars. We actually give this place 5 stars. Staff were friendly. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak with grilled onions on the side, garlic Parmesan French fries with garlic butter, and coke. Hands down the best Philly cheesesteak I had so far. Bread is super soft and the portion of meat was very reasonable. Garlic fries was amazing. It's too bad it's so far from where we live. Place is a little run down but it's okay, bathroom is pretty clean...hehe. Happy eats!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm a transplant from Philadelphia and when I drove by and saw the name I immediately busted a U-Turn. Upon entering, I noticed the small quant feel of the place. The walls were plastered with pictures of all things Philly. I noticed the lunch special and immediately went for the original cheesesteak. American wit out. It came with a side of fries and a drink, which is a great deal. The size was perfect and I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. The one downside that I experienced was the guy who took my order was not very communicative or friendly. But may have just been a bad day.
google avatar

Jesus C.

Yelp
The food was ok. I don't believe it is better than Pops. I have had diarrhea since I had lunch here today. The is why this place gets 2 starts from me. The cashier was lacking in the personality as well.
google avatar

Blu S.

Yelp
Best Phillys I've had hands down!! I always get the flamin hot Cheeto Philly with jalapeños &' cheez whiz definitely a little hidden gem but don't pass this place up, you won't regret it!! Can't forget the customer service though as well! Love this place &' the atmosphere.

Yelp
So over the last 8 years of living in Las Vegas I've driven by this place countless times. Seeing that today being my birthday I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich and an order of garlic parm fries. The presentation of the sandwich and fries had my mouth watering and I couldn't wait to eat. After the first bite of the sandwich all I could say was holy fuck!! The sandwich was as delicious as it appeared. Then taking a bite of the fries I had to say again holy fuck!! I'll definitely be going back to this place many more times and I would recommend this place to anyone that lives here or are visiting and want to go somewhere away from the strip. So worth the drive. The staff is fantastic and friendly the inside is a little small but has plenty of seats. The outside looks like it could use some touching up but don't let stop you from enjoying a great meal.

jason r.

Yelp
What can I say? This place just doesn't disappoint. I came in for lunch today with a friend, ordered some lunch, food came out fresh, hot, and delicious. The owner came out from cooking and offered to refil my drink. we talked for a few minutes.....will definitely continue to keep coming back.
google avatar

Mallory D.

Yelp
The fries were the best part, the sauce and spice we good and not too spicy. The chicken cheesesteak was pretty plain and I wish I ordered another classic cheesesteak. Not the best location either but decent for cheesesteak sandwiches.
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
We've driven by this place a few times and decided to give it a try. It was lunch time and they were very busy. It's a hole in the wall outside on a busy corner intersection. Inside is decorated nicely and very clean and friendly service. We ordered the Philly cheese steak and Gyro with fries. The cheese steak was fresh and hot. You can have grilled onions added as well as wiz or provolone cheese. Lettuce and tomato are extra $$. The gyro was stuffed with meat and all the fixings. The fries were hot and crispy. We'll definitely come back and highly recommend.

Yelp
It has been quite a while since I last visited this spot but I figured I'd take a trip down memory lane. In the end, it's absolutely not the product I recall from the past. I ordered the broad street bully. This was a new item to me. I absolutely love peppers in my sandwich so it felt like an easy win. Not so much. The MOST GLARING difference to me was the bread was different and in a very disappointing way. This place used to use genuine Amoroso rolls. The added authenticity of using Amoroso was nice but if they just aren't able to be sourced, at least replace it with something of equal or better quality. This bread had terrible texture that I just couldn't forgive. The meat itself tasted under seasoned and the sandwich was quite wet overall. Could be the nature of having so many peppers though but it is worth mentioning. It feels as though this establishment has lost its soul. It used to deliver a delicious and authentic product. This one missed the mark big time. If it were me, I'd look back to what made this place great to begin with and start walking things back. If it ain't broke...you know how it goes...
google avatar

Emmanuel G.

Yelp
Cheesesteak was great! Inside the restaurant is old school, laid back vibes, I like that. Wish they would've turned up the AC THOUGH, but I can live. Overall. Enjoyed this place!

Brian H.

Yelp
Went today to get best cheesesteak in Vegas sign on door permanently closed not sure why loved this place
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
What a joke, me and my wife came here to get some cheesesteaks. Bread hard and falling apart. I asked the guy what's with this bread. Says sorry it's been slow today and we have to use the bread from yesterday per the owner. Are you serious? What a complete joke and a half. Fries are absolutely horrible. Has zero flavor. Only good think here are the drinks. I will not be coming back to this joint ever again! What a mistake!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! So I am a New Yorker and Philly is pretty close. Well I moved to NV and I kept passing this place. It took almost 2 years to stop in and boy oh boy! The Philly cheesesteaks are absolutely AUTHENTIC! Delicious, nice portions . Awesome staff!!!!! You need to come here. Not very attractive on the outside, but the inside is VERY CLEAN and well maintained!!
