"Despite its small size, the beans at this King William neighborhood coffee shop pack a powerful punch. Stranded uses Proud Hound beans from Cincinnati, with a rich, chocolatey flavor, for a rather dense cup of coffee, and complements them with a house syrup of cinnamon and vanilla. Visitors can find fun mixtures on its regular drinks menu, including customer favorites like the Maribel, the Pig-Pen, and Charlie Brown. For the spring season, Stranded offers an orange-vanilla syrup that pairs well with the shop’s heavier beans. This shop is small inside, with most of the space taken up by the coffee bar, a round table usually taken by large groups, and a counter for coffee sippers. — Thankfully, there are also several picnic tables outside.
