"This pleasant, laid-back restaurant, located on the periphery of the Altstadt (Old Town), is one of Bonn’s more popular dining spots. Here, guests enjoy a constantly changing menu of fresh, seasonal cuisine in a small but charming space. On offer are such dishes as beef tenderloin with polenta, and black cod with miso beurre blanc , as well as a few prix-fixe menus (including a surprise option) and a wine list that features more than 180 bottles from Europe and the New World (with a particular focus on German whites). Very warm welcome and consistently attentive service. The food is tastefully arranged, perfectly prepared and attractively presented. The wine list offers a nice selection of mainly German but also international wines. In addition, there is a high-quality, yet cosy atmosphere. Furthermore, comparatively low prices for what is offered. A clear recommendation.

Definitely worth a visit. A relaxed atmosphere although well thought out atmosphere and very attentive and accommodating staff. Good and reasonably priced wine list with quite a few gems. And last, but not least, the food does its own talking. Yum!

Excellent fine dining. We had the 6 course menu and every course was delicious. Timing perfect and great servers. My only issue was the table and chairs we sat at outside.. a little uncomfortable and the slat table meant you had to watch how you placed your glass. I also had a chair that was partly over a grate and was bitten by mosquitoes

This was an extraordinary experience, both food and service. We arrived way too early, in the rain, before the restaurant opened. We were warmly welcomed inside anyway, seated, and offered mineral water, multilingual menus, and the wine list to review until the staff had eaten and the restaurant formally opened. Then it was pure magic... six courses... plus amuse... each one interesting and inventive. Enhanced with a terrific local Pinot Noir. The service was attentive, but not hovering. And we were able to finish in time to get to a concert without feeling rushed. And the bill? Not small, but half what I would pay for not as good in NYC.

Cosy, friendly atmosphere, don't expect an elegant room, valet service... Food is very tasty and well presented. Service is very good, personnel attentive and knowledgeable. Vine list is appropriate with the dishes. Can only recommend.

Perfect, high quality food (Strandhaus menu and vegetarian menu with accompanying wines), delectable wines and absolute perfect, professional, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly service. Small touches by our waitress created an amazing welcoming topservice!
