Love this hidden Gem. Food and Service is the Best. Thank you Patrick for your exceptional service and the History lesson on Strand's. ❣❣❣ The food was Great and would highly recommend the establishment to anyone who visits the Valley.

This is a superb restaurant with a lovely dining atmosphere. My mother ordered a chicken ceasar salad and they were able to accommodate her request of having a meal size prepared. I was sad to hear that it has been sold and will be having it's last evening open tomorrow. Thank you for the great service and memories made here.

By far the best meal and best service we have ever had. I ordered the crab stuffed chicken and my husband had the Madagascar pepper steak. Mike was our server, super funny, friendly and incredibly helpful. Poured our champagne for us all night and suggested the best coffee. Tony is an amazing cook and came out to greet us personally. Came here for our 1 year anniversary. Highly recommend it for any special occasion or if you're just in the mood for fantastic food and service.

Good day. As the new current staff of Strands, I’d like to voice our concerns and apologize for any inconvenience we might have caused. This was not our intention. We value your concerns and seek to meet and pass expectations as the restaurant has been doing for so long. We are working on modernizing the restaurant’s menu items and teaching our front house staff the proper philoshies on how to treat our guests at all times. Various struggles have forced a turn over on staff so finding the proper people and re-training has been a hassle.. but this is no excuse. I assure you- when I prepare food I seek perfection or as close as I can get a plate. Mistakes are unacceptable. If we do mess up- we will try and comfort the situation any way be. These are my philosophies which I will spread to the staff. I will even go as far as showing them these reviews to reflect how their actions affect us as a business next opening day. I am the young sous Chef here so I only have certain control - but after reading these unanswered comments, I had to say something to you good people. It is all a team effort. I used to be a server so I understand how you feel about bad service. It’s not pleasant. As a young person I am also speaking with the head chef / owner about the pricing ranges. The food is delicious but the younger crowd would appreciate if the cost was a little less. I try to make each dish worth the money but even then I also question the amount. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. So please have faith. We really do enjoy making our guest happy. The place really is beautiful. Come enjoy a great night. Went to Strands Old House today for dinner with my wife, waitress was extremely kind old male waiter was not. Place is beautiful, restaurant is in an olden house. Food is not the greatest for the price, that you pay. It is very simple, no real spices the french onion soup was very plain! refills on pop are NOT free, found out once I recieved my bill.

I don't understand the reviews, this place is in a bit of a time warp. First impression is decor is dated 1970's but so is the menu, not in a good way either but they have 4 menus depending on the day and time of day including Al a Carte, Fall special, Early doors, and Friday fish and chip special. Talk about making your life difficult. The staff are unwelcoming and a bit odd sort of disinterested. Food was dull, not bad quality just uninspiring. Would I go again? No

We have been coming to the Strand for years and this was definitely an off night. The soup had no taste, schnitzels were very greasey and again not up to par. Service was clumsy and intrusive. Dessert tasted best. If this had been our first-time there we would never have thought of returning.
