The type of fun cocktails that I either had to go with my gut or google the ingredients. Didn’t disappoint. Oysters were delicious, curry chicken wings were tender, juicy, flavorful, and different. Handmade dumplings are always a must and they lived up to the hype. Pork belly ramen was perfect for the cold weather - amazing flavors. Our server recommended the spicy on the side and that was sound advice since I’m a bit of a wimp. I’ll definitely go back.

Great dinner and drinks. Our table for a Painkiller and a Gold Rush and everyone was happy. Gyoza and Bao Buns were yummy, and all the ramen was great - Shoyu, Tonkotsu, and the Birria/ramen mash up they’re currently offering. Service was great. Another thing worth mentioning is they actually have a nice area to wait for a table so you can start your conversations with your dinner companions while lounging.

If you've been searching for a top-tier cocktail/Tiki bar experience or some of the best ramen you can find in the Midwest -- then Strange Bird is your kind of place! Starting off with appearances, Strange Bird offers a sort of hybrid cocktail lounge and semi-private dining atmosphere. There's plenty of leather couches and conversation piece tables, high-backed booths, a more energized social bar/high-top dining area, and relaxed lighting/Tiki Bar decor throughout the establishment. For the drinks, we ordered a "Scorpion" off the permanent menu, as well as the "Snowbird", "Naughty List" and "Porch Lights" options off the seasonal rotation. All of them were phenomenal, decorative, and flavorful -- while still being the stronger type of cocktail you'd expect to get from a Tiki bar. For food, we had the Tantanmen spicy ramen and the Birria ramen (that comes with a taco on the side). The spicy ramen had some heat to it -- but it's the flavorful kind that makes you keep coming back for more, even when your lips start to tingle! The Birria ramen was unparalleled in terms of flavor and texture. The lime/cilantro/onion was perfectly paired to the silkier broth and noodles. While it may seem like the drinks or food are a bit on the pricier side, you're absolutely getting what you pay for. Portions were solid, ingredients and flavor were top notch, and you're definitely going to be asking yourself "what should I try when I come back?" when you're done for the night.

Some of the best ramen in Indy! The oysters are also excellent and trustworthy for a restaurant in a landlocked state. The vibes here are always excellent and they have great tiki drinks (and mocktails as well that are equally good). One of our favorite spots in Irvington!

Themes and Gimmicks usually come at the expense of the service and or food. NOT HERE CHIEF 🌴🥥🍹🧉 The drinks were beautiful and tasty, the food was Quality, and the service was comfortable. We tried the Snow Bird off the seasonal drink menu and the Jungle Bird off the regular menu drink, ordered a dozen oysters that were so good we ordered 12 more, also tried the Katsu chicken and the spicy ramen. We planned to also try out the Snug after but we were so perfectly happy we decided to save the Snug for a separate adventure.

A friend and fellow foodie recommended this spot to me a few weeks ago and it was well worth the drive (from Columbus, IN). Everything was on point— from the laid-back tiki bar ambiance to the thoughtful and expertly crafted food and drinks! Highly recommend everything we had… and probably everything else on the menu too 🤭

The best ramen in the Indianapolis area by far. Amazing service, fun atmosphere, and top-notch tiki drinks. Can’t wait to come back.

The best place to get ramen in Indy. I taste the love and quality. My favorite is the Shoyu ramen. The broth has depth and is pure and balanced. The noodles are perfectly bouncy and firm with perfect bite. Get a side of spice to add to the noodles and it just takes them over the top and accentuates everything nicely. The meat was sliced perfectly thin and cooked just right (I am very picky about the meat and they passed regarding thickness and doneness, if the meat is wrong I will not eat it). The rum cake was divine, just enough rum without being overpowering with a delicate crumb to the cake and a crisp sweet exterior that has perfect chew. I normally get the oysters and they never dissapoint, the oysters here are the best I have had in Indy. The parking lot is small, probably like 20 cars worth of space maybe. Street parking on the side is available, just get here early if you don't want a long wait or if you want a parking spot.

Super good ramen! Definitely a must try if you are in the Irvington area after 5pm. They don't have a ton of seating inside but bar seating is an easy option. If you go between 5-6pm the oysters are on special, or all day on Sunday. The oysters were really good with a fun little onion vinegar frozen spread to eat them with. My husband and I both ordered ramen. I tried the tonkatsu and added spice. It was very good but the broth was mild and I'm glad I ordered the extra spice with it. The egg was super tender and jammy, the pork cooked perfectly and the in house made noodles were springy. He ordered the Spicy Tantanmen which he loved too. We tried a few fun cocktails and they definitely put time into creating them. Will be back to try more things!

I'm so grateful I got to finally visit Strange Bird:'-)) They are located in a cute little neighborhood in Irvington. It was only around 15min east of downtown. I didn't take photos because I really wanted to take it all in my first visit, but I will be back! Strange Bird is a tiki themed rum & oyster bar that also serves small plates & ramen. They have a small parking lot out front & I would say the dress code is casual. So first we saw they open everyday but Monday 5pm-11pm and they don't do reservations. We got there at 5:05 and there was already a line waiting to get seated, but we all were seated quickly! We sat at the bar and first ordered some drinks. I got the Saturn and it was really good! It was very citrusy and sweet - easy to drink. Then we got some oysters. 5pm-6pm each day they do half price oysters dealer's choice so we got a dozen (I believe they also do that all day Sunday until they run out). The oysters were the best I've had in a long time! I'm excited to return this weekend for more lol For food, I ordered the katsu curry with tofo. I've never had curry or anything along those lines and it was really good! It was so flavorful and filling. Was really good with my drink as well. Overall I'm giving Strange Bird a 12/10. Really good drinks, really good food, and beautiful theme. This place is really well thought out & I appreciate their attention to the small details. This is a place you for sure need to try at least once. We really are so lucky to have them here in Indy:-)

I love Strange Bird. It's a laid back place with delicious food. The thing I love most is you can make anything vegan. I usually have the same server and I love B so much! I always get the gyoza which is seasoned so well and has a little spice, it comes vegan already. Then I'll do the vegan wings with the sauce on the side, it keeps them really crispy. The curry sauce is my fav. I even get some for my tonkontsu which I of course order vegan and add mushroom to. Don't have pics because I get to work as soon as it hits the table. Honorable mention: lemonade The parking lot is small, so you may have to park on the street because they're typically busy. So much so, we showed up at 5p (opening) and there was a line. You can't order ahead of time. You have to go in to order takeout. But that only means it's going to be fresh.

While this is a great funky place, hipster for sure, the value isn't there. Food is good, but nothing special verse other ramen available in the area. Also their cocktails are more about the appearance than the value again. Fun place, we just left hungry and underwhelmed with a $125 bill. I would go again, just had to be the right occasion now that the expectation is set.

It was my second visit to Strange Bird. I was there for drinks with friends. It was Saturday so the place was very busy, but they took my name and we were able to get a table in 10-15 minutes. Our server was very nice. Even though we had more people coming and had to ask for a big table, he accommodated us with a smile. Mocktails have been my new favorite and I tried the Piña colada with no alcohol. It was so refreshing and delicious. They have such unique drinks and it's a lot of fun. I love their interior too.

I really like the tropical vibe here with the decorations, lighting, and music. There are two different sections for inside seating as well as a separate patio for outdoor seating. The parking lot is small but you can park on the street. The service was friendly and inviting. We ordered a couple of their very unique cocktails. The Scorpion Reef and the Zombie were refreshing and strong. They have a limited menu. We had the Gyoza for our appetizer and they were like any Gyoza I've had but the Tonkotsu ramen was delicious, full of flavor and the ingredients all worked well together. My friend had the Wings which she said had a kick and was great but they only had carrots for a side and she wished there were more options to choose from. This is a cool spot and I plan to come back.

Hands down our favorite place for oysters in the city: the secret is in the shucking! And the mignonette sorbet is to die for! Topped it off like a mermaid with the Pearl Diver cocktail and I felt like I was on the other side of the world. Other than their amazing oyster variety and flavor, Strange Bird is some of the best food I've had in awhile. Perfect for a date night, it's a unique spot in a historic area of the city. No reservations to prepare for a wait and go visit the neighboring pub or handmade leather shop. Lots of dedicated parking but it did get busy on a Sunday. The interior is photo worthy mid century tiki but the patio as adorable right along the scenic trail. Their best ramen is the shoyu ramen - out of this world flavor simmered for 8 hours. Every thing is done with quality. I'll be back again and again (and will probably join the oyster club too)

One of the best ramen bars I've been too! The Tantanmen was sooo flavorful and good. Highly recommended.

In the hundreds of times that I have dined out, I can't think of an instance where I tipped $0. I tipped $0 here. The food was pretty good. I thought that the ramen meats were delicious and I think the noodles were house made. Very chewy. The shoyu broth could have been slightly saltier. I ordered two sides of the egg, but only received one. I thought the shrimp eggrolls were maybe 50% too salty. But when I paired it with the ramen, it was tasty. The salad was also solid, although the Katsu chicken add-on (which was delicious) was a little bit pricey for how little chicken I received. That's where the positives end: the host seated me, and nobody came up to take my order for 10 minutes. I finally waved down the server, Lexi: no apology, no introduction, nothing. I placed my order and was told that the kitchen closed at 10 PM and that I needed to get any other orders in before then. Lexi told me to waive her down if I wanted something before 10 PM. I never saw her again before the kitchen closed (the food was delivered by other staff members), so I literally needed to leave my seat and go hunt her down if I wanted additional food! She finally came by at 10:05 to check on how I was doing. I asked if I could order an extra egg, and she told me that it was 10:05 and the kitchen was closed. Anything you can do? No, she said. They close up quite quickly. No apology, no attempt to see if she could get me another egg, nothing. The eggs are premade and require no prep, so this was disappointing. A very "sorry not sorry" response and we exchanged eye contact for a second too long: "I can't believe this," I thought; "tough luck, too bad," her glance said. I guess I'm disappointed because the food was pretty good, and the decor was unique. Sad to see how negligent and lackluster service can completely ruin an otherwise fine dining experience. It's clear that the owner and chefs put a lot of heart into the restaurant and the ambiance/design and the food, so a bit surprising to see the major inconsistency from a service perspective.

Strange bird is one of the best restaurant experiences in Indy. The ambiance is very unique with tropical decor and a tiki bar. There is usually a pretty long wait time though as seating is limited. Highlights: - Toga blood wings: Super crunchy with a spicy, flavorful sauce. Would highly recommend if you like wings. Honestly could be a meal just by itself - Tantan noodles: Normally soupless but there is an option to have it served with broth. Very unique flavor but honestly can't go wrong with any of the ramen choices on the menu. - Rum cake: Light moist cake that wasn't too overpowering with the rum. Perfect light dessert Would definitely recommend checking Strange bird out for both the food and the ambiance. The only downsides are the wait times for a table and slow service, so would recommend going earlier in the evening.

I've wanted to try this place out ever since a friend recommended it a couple of months ago. Since then I even heard the chefs on a podcast Harder Brunch and that made me want to go even more. I am happy to say that this place didn't disappoint. I went with my husband on a Friday evening so we weren't surprised that the place was packed. When checking in we were told the wait may be 20 minutes but we were sitting at the bar within 10 minutes. The bartenders were knowledgeable about the menu and it was nice seeing them make all of the fun drinks that they offered. Now for the food. We shared everything and we got oysters, bao buns, toga blood wings, and the tonkatsu ramen. Everything was delicious! My favorite thing was the bao buns the beef cheeks were amazing. I also absolutely loved the oysters the mignonette sauce was better than most and was a perfect accompaniment. If you have not tried this place out yet then you are missing out on a definite gem.

Strange Bird turned me into an oyster fan! Oddly delicious and crave worthy. The wings are also amazing, we get them every time. From the appetizers to entrees all menu items are flavorful and delicious. Fun and yummy drinks as well. Service is always good and we have enjoyed the additional outdoor seating. Service is always good and you can enjoy delicious beverages in comfortable seating if there is a wait for a table.

Strange Bird has been on our list of Indy restaurants to try for awhile and we were not disappointed! Strange Bird is a rum and oyster bar as well as a Shoyu (ramen) shop. We elected to try as much as we could and started out with a dozen oysters since we were there during the half price oyster happy hour. For the half price oysters it's shuckers choice. We chose to pay the extra $3 for the horseradish sorbet, which was entirely worth it. The spicy horseradish is balanced out with a sweet citrus ice. The extra chill from the sorbet and the sweet spicy combo really made the oysters even more delicious. We moved on to two appetizer selections, gyoza and the shrimp spring rolls. The gyoza were very clearly hand crimped and were filled with a delicious pork mixture that had a nice kick. The spring rolls were crispy and light and came with a sweet chili dipping sauce. To accompany our appetizers we decided to get two of their cocktails. See pictures for the ingredients and description- all I can say is, they know what they're doing in the cocktail realm. On to the Ramen round! First get yourself a Japanese beer: Sapporo to balance out the rich ramen broths. I ordered the Tonkotsu, one of my favorite styles that features a rich and creamy pork broth. My husband ordered the Tantanmen as a soup (it's available sans broth as well) and although both were flavorful and satisfying, we agreed the Tantanmen was something uniquely delicious and we couldn't get enough. I highly recommend a side of rice ($3) because you're going to want to soak it in that broth. We couldn't leave without dessert. We ordered both, of course. Key Lime pie is one of my favorites and this slice was one of the best I've ever had. The rum cake is surprisingly light, sweet and fluffy and garnished with a house made whipped cream. I paired bites of both with a rum old fashioned that was sweet and clean. Our server Annie was attentive and friendly and made great recommendations. If you're going to do all of the courses prepare for a nice relaxed meal that allows you to really appreciate every bite.

A tiki bar that serves ramen?! Now that's STRANGE. But I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the ambiance, service, and food was! Came here with my friends on a Friday night for a good hearty bowl of ramen and we were not disappointed. I ordered the spicy chicken shio ramen and it was to die for. The noodles had the perfect bite without being too overcooked and the broth had the perfect amount of spice. The thinly sliced chicken in the broth was also very flavorful and melted in my mouth. Unfortunately we were not able to try the drinks but will definitely be back for that!!

We had the shrimp rolls -- incredible 9/10 We had the gyoza -- delicious 8/10 We had the bao buns -- INCREDBILE 9.7/10 And then I had the shoyu ramen and it was on of the best things I have ever eaten. 10/10 Please try this place if you're in the area. We lucked out and got there around 5:30 before it got crowded and had a wait.

There is no better place to be pampered and feel tropical if you seek evocative flavors in the Midwest! It's romantic, exotic, and a true feast for the senses. The atmosphere is incredible. The staff knows their stuff. The rotating menu of cocktails and availability of truly excellent ramen make this restaurant a MUST. It might be one of my favorite places on earth. Come see!

I've been hearing good things about Strange Bird for almost two years, so it was finally time to cross it off my bucket list. The broth of the Tonkotsu and Tantanmen were 10/10 good, and the noodles were probably a 9/10. I loved the egg and scallion within my tonkotsu, but wished there were maybe a few more garnishes in it to liven things up a little more. My boyfriend felt the same about the tantanmen. Cocktails were interesting but maybe just not my cup of tea. The garnishes were adorable, but beware if you're someone like me who will try to eat whatever is put on my drink--the mushrooms were real, and taste real weird with alcohol. I loved the dark tiki vibe of the place and having a view of all the cool glassware at the bar. Service was polite and they worked pretty quickly given how busy it was.

What a great spot, tucked away in Irvington. So close to downtown, and so many other walkable options for progressive dinner or drinks/brewery visits. The noodles are made in-house and you can taste the difference...amazing! The broth was so flavorful, and clearly a labor of love. Save room for not too sweet and unique cheesecake of sorts, with sesame seeds and caramel sauce.

I love this restaurant. Their food is fantastic. Their drinks are fun with unique twists! We sat at the bar and Neil was our server (he was so awesome). They had really neat artwork all around which gave with a fun vibe. I tried their painkiller which was fantastic. They had a good amount of four square rums to try so we had a flight. Not pictured are the dumplings (so so good, small but worth it) and the oysters! I already want to go back!

One of Indianapolis' hidden gems. My third time dining here and I swear it gets better every time. We tried the toga blood wings, tantan ramen (got the soup option but you can do no soup, harumaki shrimp spring rolls, and of course gyoza. For the ramen, I've had both options but the soup is the best thing I've ever had. For dessert, GET THE KEY LIME!!! I've had at least 5 mixed drinks from different visits. They are all strong and delicious ***secret menu: if you eat most or all your noodles, you can buy a fresh made container full for really cheap. Now you can enjoy another meal at home with your left over soup!

I've been wanting to go here for a long while and now I already want to go back! Wait or reservation: no wait when we went right around 5p on a Sunday when they opened. They do not take reservations. Parking: Simple! They have a lot. Location: Irvington area! Want to make a point to get there there more! Vibe: Tiki but not overly done! Clean tiki. Classic tiki. Pink lights! White bamboo. Plants and greenery. Omg so cute! We sat in the dining area since we had a little - love to see they welcome they bebes but definitely want to check out the bar side! That was next level vibe. Service: Megan was fab! Stayed on top of everything and never rushed us even when they started to have a wait. Food: Will bring tears to your eyes! Oysters were fresh! Different they didn't serve with crackers or offer cocktail or horseradish but they had some kind of vinegar in the dipper which elevated the already delicious oyster. Wings. Omg. Meaty, saucy, coated. My friend said it's the best wings he had in a long time and I could not agree more. You could feel the love in that ramen! Tasted like it had been cooking all day and perfectly balanced. Key lime pie was zingy with the buttery graham cracker crust. Okay so maybe I'll go back tomorrow. Pricing: who cares. Just let them take your money ;) ramen is $18-$22, wings are $16, and oysters are $3. Allergens and NA: So many GF options! Love to see it. Fun mocktails too! I got a noijto and had all that lovely mint. Pro tip: half off oysters on Sunday!

I can't say enough good things about my dining experience at Strange Bird. I went there on. Sunday evening by myself and I was so tired and hungry They served me 1/2 price oysters served with lemon and something like pink, sweet frost to top it and a perfectly mixed cocktail. Not syrupy like a lot of restaurants, but a nice actual drink. The menu items were explained and the waitstaff were so nice. I had the Tonkatsu where the very rich chicken broth was so flavorful. The cured egg was the best part of the dish or maybe the pork belly that fell apart in my chop sticks from tenderness. What a pleasant surprise! And I love the design of the bowl and spoon! And I will always retreat to this place for sure on another Sunday evening.

Saw someone post about this spot on instagram so I decided to come here for my birthday dinner! So glad we came to try it out because we both got it. If you like curry- you must order the curry chicken wings. The flavor was out of this world. Didn't even need to dip them in the ranch (maybe dill/buttermilk ranch) that came with it because it was so flavorful. The oysters were great and seems like they have at least three different choices come in daily. My husband had the Tantamen Ramen and I went with the Shoyu Ramen. Next time would get the Tantamen- it's not very spicy so I could have handled it. We ended with the key lime pie which was as good as Publix key lime pie which is saying a lot because that's my absolutely favorite key lime pie! Also got 4 cocktails all were delish but the Painliller was probably our favorite. Overall fun spot! I just wish the cocktails were bigger. The glasses are fun but some are a bit small- so I was done with my drink in a few sips. Can't wait to go back and try more delish cocktails and get those wings again.

I don't know where to begin because I just love everything about this place. Ramen/Asian fusion food combined with a tiki bar? Sign me up. First, make more note they do not take reservations and it can get busy so plan ahead. There is a small parking lot as well as free parking along Bonna. Everything I've had here is incredible. The ramen is the best I have ever had and those noodles are made fresh in house. The vegan gyoza are fabulous, the oysters are fresh, the wings with that nori ranch are unreal, and the katsu curry is to die for! And the drinks. Oh, the drinks. I try something different each time and it is always good. And STRONG. The scorpion reef is my favorite because it comes on fire! The staff is super friendly and I love the tiki decor. The patio is great when the weather is nice too. If you're coming alone or with just 1 other person, I recommend sitting at the bar because it is fun to chat with the bartender and watch them make those gorgeous drinks! Bonus is they're served in really cool vessels. If you have someone coming to visit, this is an excellent place to take them.

We love Irvington and have visited just about every main attraction that there is to do since October, so it was time we hit up Strange Bird. Finally we were in the neighborhood on Not A Monday and in the parking lot at 4:45pm, allowing us enough time to mentally prepare to walk in at 5:00 On The Dot. This was important because probably close to 5:10, there might have been a wait. Strange Bird doesn't take reservations and it's not a huge place (does have ample outdoor seating and has what I'd call two halves - bar half and non-bar half), so it's important to know you're either going to need to wait or you need to be ready at 5pm. My partner is allergic to shellfish (what a buzzkill) so oysters are a no-go when I'm in his presence so we did skip that portion of the evening. I did order a rum drink (The Lost Lake) and he ordered an Old Fashioned. The Lost Lake was strong, which I'd hope it was for being in a tiki/rum bar, and he said the Old Fashioned was a little strong on the bitters. The Tonkotsu Ramen was amazing in flavor and the noodle texture was awesome, and his curry was nearly perfection. Definitely 8.5/10 stars in real life and 4/5 stars in Yelp life. A must-do if spending time near Irvington and love that this area has such a fun restaurant with an amazing, sexy vibe (as one patron in front of us called it, and I'm stealing it).

I continue to go back. The staff is always so happy, and the service is quick. I've gone with family, friends, and date nights. It works for anything, and the ambience is so chill and darker inside. The food is 10/10, I have loved everything I've had. I swear by the yoga blood wings and the tofu dish!

We love going back to the place ! Great ramen for a chilly Sunday evening ! I got the usual Chicken Shoyu and did add a little bit of chili paste for the heat . We also tried the oysters as they have a happy hour in the evenings so be sure to look out for that next time! Also recommend this tiki bar ramen combo place but we did experience a slower service from our server :( This place is open only in the evenings which we had forgotten about so had to wait for about an hour for the place to open . We didn't mind at all as I was craving for ramen :)

Great food with impressive ambiance. Not everything at this restaurant is vegan, but can be made vegan with the exception of oysters. I love that it's inclusive so that I can go there with friends who both do and do not have dietary restrictions. It's also some of the best completely house-made ramen I've had.

Came back (several times) and thought I'd share today because I tried several new things that were great! Had the katsu with chicken which was like a version of comfort food! Rich katsu gravy with perfectly crispy chicken or pork over rice. Very satisfying! I tried one of the mock tails - Tropical Fizz, and if I could have this in bottles to take home, I would be drinking it all the time. Perfectly effervescent, sweet and tart... So refreshing and a nice soft drink feel without any caffeine or alcohol! We tried the oysters and our fave was Blue Pool! Ocean kiss was great too! This continues to be a go to and I wanted to share the new faves I found today!

Went for the first time on Saturday. Walked right in at 5:45, but then it got really busy. Arrive early to avoid the wait. We tried the oysters, buns, teriyaki wings, both types of ramen and a few of the specialty drinks. We loved everything. Fun place with a great vibe.

Came across a write up of this restaurant in a four year-old magazine I saw today, decided to give it a shot, and I'm so happy I did. A great tiki themed restaurant and bar that doesn't overdo the theme. Very light and breezy with enough of the tiki decor and music to keep the vibes appropriate. Food and drinks were superior and the wait staff was friendly. I would highly recommend.

Mom's in town for the eclipse and so she gets treated to oysters! Tonight we did 4 doz oysters on the happy hour special, some shrimp rolls, hubs had teriyaki wings and a mock colada, and I has a "Decent Swimmer" from the recently revised seasonal cocktail menu. #yum #ReviewsByRL

Strange Bird is neither strange nor a bird. Tucked away in Irvington, it is a ramen/tiki bar. For vegans, all the ramen broth dishes can be made vegan. On a busy Friday night, the wait time was initially quoted to be an hour but was actually 20 minutes. We had ourselves the wings first with Nori ranch followed by the ramen. The rum I had was hella strong. Overall 9.0/10. 4.5 on Yelp, rounded up to 5. It's a great date spot for sure. Won't be disappointed by the great ramen you get.

Took my husband to the restaurant for the first time and he had the same reaction as me the first time I went. We loved it! While we missed the happy hour eats, we happily ate the different types of oysters and the owner's favorite was mine as well. We will be back soon!

I visited Indianapolis for the All-Star game and saw this restaurant on Instagram and decided I had to go. According to their Instagram, they offered not only vibes, but fresh shucked oysters as well. Upon entering, you are definitely shocked at how Instagramable this place is!! We were seated in the bar area. It took our waiter about 10 minutes to get to us. We ordered dumplings and were not impressed. I feel like I get better dumplings from Aldi's. As for the oysters, these are the smallest oysters I've ever seen in my life. The waiter also couldn't tell us the difference between the selection. Lastly, the drinks were not as tasty as they looked. Unfortunately, I think many restaurants are getting good reviews due to the ability of one being able to take a good picture/selfie instead of the real taste and depth of the food being served.

Arrived just before 7 pm and there were multiple people waiting already. We put our name down and they said about 45 minutes. Ran over to Scarlett lane for a drink while we waited. Finally went back to get seated at the bar which was great. Our bartender, Katie was amazing and super helpful with what to order. The drinks were strong, one was more than enough for me. Everyone working was nice and I love the tiki setup. Chill spot for dinner and perfect on these cold and chilly nights.

We walked in and instantly fell in love with the ambiance and atmosphere. It's a cute date night places with the lowlight and warm tones. The fusion vibe also creates a warm atomoshoere welcoming you in. All the workers here are really nice and helpful and the food was great. Teriyaki chicken wings were very flavorful and crispy. Definitely get your moneys worth with these. The tonkostu ramen was not as thick/rich broth as I thought but the noodles and the topping were spot on.

Although I'm a big fan of ramen, I can't say I was a fan of this ramen. The broth was too salty for my taste and lacked flavor. Ambiance is great however and service was also on point with food being delivered quickly!

We absolutely LOVE Strange Bird!! We typically sit at the bar, service has always been great. The drinks are unique and high quality . The atmosphere is relaxing and chill with low lighting and good music in the background. The Ramen is top notch, the Katsu Curry is a favorite of mine, Gomae salad is delicious as well! Their menu is small however they do change it up regularly. Half priced oysters everyday from 5-6pm and all day Sunday, the oyster are flown in fresh 3 times a week. I highly recommend you give Strange Bird a try!

The bowl of Ramen at Shoyu Shop goes beyond, earning a "Best of the Best" tag. I love ramen and I have been to different places in MidWest for nearly 3 years (and counting), Kyle managed to snag the trifecta of excellent broth, chashu, and notably, freshly house-made noodles. It's a testament to the shop's hard work, the employees are amazing, and also reflects Kyle's dedication to his craft and his constant innovation, looking for new dishes every season to try or things to improve.

Love this place! Wings, ramen and a strong drink on their pet friendly patio are always my first thoughts and it should be yours too. Inside is a tiki bar setting, great service always. Hidden gem in Irvington.

Great atmosphere and ambience. Unique and gorgeous. Food was amazing as well as the painkillers.

Bring back the seitan wings!!!! The tofu ones are disgusting and chunky I love the staff, services, drinks, food and the ambiance. But pleaseeeeee bring back the seitan wings -from a real vegan

The food and the atmosphere were incredible!! The Toga Blood Wings were great! We also loved the Pain Killer and Unknown Depth drinks!!
