We found this little place perchance and they had great little drinks and good eats too for a reasonable price. Yummy food and the drinks were not bad at all! The people there were super nice! Definitely would love to go back. We got there early so it wasn't hopping yet but by the time we left. It got busy!

So I brought my daughter on her high school graduation day to have a light dinner with her mother and her boyfriend. The bartender(Jenn) that is working tonight,6/12/25 during happy hour, is too preoccupied with her conversation with the "fairer" complexion customers to be bothered with one that shares her same skin tone. I will not be returning especially not during Jenn's shift. The chicken fajitas were trash!!! My daughter has been here before and has had better quality food. the same bartender acted like it was an inconvenience for her to make sure we were satisfied customers. Forrest Rocks!!!!

My husband and I were on our way to Moriairty’s for their delicious and giant wings but since we’ve had them a few times we decided to try something new when we saw the sign outside of Strangelove advertising their wings and 30 different flavors. We had very high hopes after starting with the buffalo cauliflower. It’s was $12 which felt overpriced for the amount you’ll get but they were very good! They were the last good thing about the experience. We were the only guests but the food took longer than expected considering what we ordered and there being no one else. We waited at about 25 min but honestly still weren’t phased because we were looking forward to the meal. I ordered the chicken tenders ($14) which came with waffle fries. THESE CHICKEN FINGERS WERE IMPOSSIBLY, RIDICULOUSLY THIN AND SMALL! The pictures I’m including don’t even do it justice. They were comically small, cartoonishly thin and to add insult to injury, you only get 4 of these chicken jerky pieces. They were so embarrassingly tiny that I commented to my husband “that they don’t even make chicken this small and thin so somebody is back there taking a tiny chicken breast and thinly slicing them to make them even smaller.” They aren’t chicken tenders at all. It’s more like a piece of chicken breast that’s been filleted to the point of transparency and then deep fried. A man “presumably the owner” or manager was within earshot and instead of offering any kind of explanation, sarcastically smiled and said “thank you.” Yea friend. YOU are most welcome because you just sold me about $1.50 worth of unseasoned deep fried chicken jerky that your passing off as tenders for $14 with a straight face. They were so insultingly thin and small that I can’t believe they were even served. As an owner, cook, waiter etc, I would have been EMBARRASSED to serve that to someone. Needless to say I would never return and would encourage you to save your money unless you’ve first confirmed that something in the kitchen has changed and you won’t be ripped off.

I spent a nice quiet late lunch here on a Saturday. Sandra the bar person was friendly and a great server. The customers who stopped in were friendly and unusually not from Philadelphia. I ordered a Margarita pizza which came served on a bread board. It was crispy on the bottom just right and mildly seasoned. Looked like they had beers rotated on tap. I went with a Guinness then a porter. Skip the porter too sour for my taste.

Food here was delicious! We got the wings, which were on the small side, but the lemon pepper buffalo was delicious and the price was reasonable. We also got the hot honey pepperoni flatbread, cheese curds and cheese steak. Every single item was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Google
Drink specials during happy hour are awesome. It’s the perfect place for drinks. I would go elsewhere to eat though. Got the pulled pork sliders and they were mediocre at best. Tasted like those precooked refrigerated packs of pull pork. But I found out it wasn’t after coming across a piece of bone marrow in one of my sliders. It’s a laid back dive bar kind of vibe downstairs. Then there is a more energetic happy hour event upstairs. The bartenders were chill but definitely no thrills. Also it’s self seating.

I went on Taco Tuesday. Had two chicken tacos and a Passion Fruit Margherita. The tacos were hot and crisp.

Google
I like the vibe and the service . Great bartender However the wings we’re disappointing consider the emphasis on their 30 flavor and how famous they are. Small wings more bone then meat. I would pass on the wings and try something else

Yelp
Only good things to say about it, They accommodate a whole Volleyball team and parents on a Saturday night, ambiance was friendly and staff took good care of us. Food was good, very different options and everything taste great. Drinks were also good and all reasonable priced. We will definitely come back if in the area. For now thank you from All kids and parents from Garden State Attack U14 Volleyball team

Yelp
Expensive for what you get, Normal food normal drink, Decent waiters/tresses. Not worth the money.

Yelp
I was visiting Philly for Wrestlemania. I saw reviews and looked like a dive bar atmosphere so I went. We had to order at the bar and the server brought the food to your table. The bourbon drink to start was very good. Good balance and def one of the better bourbon drinks I had. The cheesesteak steak with fries was good. Wasn't a jump at my amazing meal, but good. Overall, it was a strange location. It's def tight and you may not get a table all the time.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite bars to play quizzo! 8 pm on Monday nights and the host picks really great questions that you can almost figure out / use context clues like jeopardy if you don't immediately know. Also keeps it really fun. The bartenders do get a bit overwhelmed at this time as it's very busy, but definitely worth it! This is a cozy local bar. The wings are outstanding. They have 30 flavors and they're all good. I also ordered a burrito last time that hit the spot.

Yelp
There's something for everyone! I loved the vegan meatball parm special and my boyfriend got the honey garlic parmesian wings which were one of 30 flavors. The tvs create an ambiance that sucks you in (I never knew how interesting barwatch and Bob Ross were) and there's a space in the back where you can sot at a large table and have your own tv right next to their free play arcade. Is this real? Love it and will be back.

Yelp
This is def your neighborhood bar. I enjoy the expansive menu with vegan and veggie options. They have an amazing draft beer selection. The service is chill but attentive. Faster than you think and they open early so best time to hit them up because I can tell they get packed. They do have event nights. I hope they create a gift card option. My vegan Dad and Omnivore Mom got cash to go here to satisfy both their pallets. I would return!

Yelp
Had the worst dining experience I've ever had here. The food was terrible. cold, and gave my partner food poisoning. Our waiter was a kind young man, but when we had an issue who I'm assuming the manager is came over and basically scolded us. Raised the prices of our items on the recipt, and when we noticed she yelled at us some more about how she can raise the prices when she wants to. After some back and fourth, us being calm and her yelling, she finally lowered the prices. We payed and left. Absolute worst ever experience I've ever had and will always tell people to stay away. I don't understand how this is the same place that gets good reviews.

Yelp
Cute little bar with great food. If you know to order at the bar you will find it very easy and accommodating. It was my bday and I wanted to try the wings and the truffle 24k cheese steak. Everyone was so nice, coming by and saying happy birthday and giving us shots. The wings are really good and the cheese steak was really good. We had a fun night, and I would definitely go back. Thank you for making my birthday one to remember.

Yelp
Went here for drinks, honestly don't recall if I even got food...part of that might be that it's been a while since I went, but part of that also may have been because I spent the better part of 1.5 hours just sitting there, either waiting for a menu, waiting for my order to arrive, waiting for someone to clear the table, and waiting for them to bring a check over. Even after getting up and getting the bartenders' attention, they still proceeded to leave us ignored for significantly longer than necessary. Sure, it started to get crowded when we were trying to leave, but if a place is that understaffed, then it's clearly not an issue exclusive to us. Other diners who left before us also seemed to have to get up and hail a bartender over like they would a cab. The place is a nice, dimly lit bar with lots of wooden accents all across the floor, walls, tables and ceiling, and it definitely had that old bar sensation to it, walking in. The drinks themselves were acceptable, but their appearance was a little disappointing.

Yelp
We've been there a few times just for drinks. We stopped by because I wanted to have one of their June specials. I LOVE cosmos, unironically, so I needed it. I don't think it's still on the menu, but if it is, skip it. It was really not good, tasted like over sweet juice concentrate with no lime bite. On the other hand, the beer is always good and the hard seltzers are usually my thing so theres always something on the menu for me. The atmosphere is good, too!

Yelp
I love this spot. Best happy hour around. Friendly bartenders, good vegetarian options too but all around good spot.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
I came towards the end of happy hour on a Tuesday. It was not too crowded. Lisa was bartending and waiting and she was very helpful. I loved my meal and wish I had more. People started to trickle in later for drinks and also for Tuesday night bingo.

Yelp
FOOD I came for an event and had their sliders and buffalo wings. The sliders were pretty standard, but their wings were the star of the show. They were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sauce coated each wing flavorfully. Definitely on the messier side to eat, but one of the highlights on their menu for sure. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. AMBIANCE It's pretty lively inside. The place is filled with people casually meeting with friends or formally getting together either on the base floor or upstairs in the reserved area. The spot is popular among Jefferson students to host their events.

Yelp
This was such a random find and the best find. We were walking, got hungry, and randomly chose it from a lair of restaurants close by. Idk if we were hungry and tired or this place was just amazing, but this place was amazing. The bartender was lovely, the food was great, we came during brunch time on a Saturday and practically inhaled the food in our plates. A okay is that it's very very cute as well. My plant girlies, you'll like this. It has the warmest lights a bit of a dark vibe as well. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
We stumbled upon this after my birthday dinner. We just got drink. The bartenders were extremely friendly and you and your party get a round of free mixed birthday shots. This place looks like it could be really fun on the weekend. The upstairs seemed like it could be dancy and there was a room with a disco ball!

Yelp
i don't wanna post this review because i don't want trivia night to get more crowded but i think this place deserves higher than it's current star ranking!!!! i've been coming to strangeloves for their monday night trivia for ages, and it's my favorite in the city. i've tried many other trivia nights but the vibes at this one are just perfect to me. the host is great, the game is well-paced, the questions run the gambit of different corners of general trivia, and the crowd is always great. even though there are trivia nights way closer to me, i always wanna make my friends trek to center city to come here instead. for a bar, the food i've gotten here is pretty good! my top rec would be the hummus plate (somehow some of the yummiest hummus i've had??). the offered cocktails are hit or miss among my friends, so we tend to stick with the cheaper and more reliable mixed drink. anyways please don't come here, i already struggle to get a table on monday nights!!!!!

Yelp
Met the owner while sitting at the bar. Couldn't get over the atmosphere, the drinks and the food. Definitely a place I was greeted at when I walked in and felt welcomed until I left. The service felt personalized. Check it out.

Yelp
Lisa is the absolute best! Makes the best drinks and is full of conversation. Cute decor and a good vibe.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this bar and overall the experience was very good. Pleasant service, decent food, etc. Unfortunately when I looked at my bank statement a day later I saw that they overcharged my card by $2. I did not call to squabble over a couple of dollars maybe it was a genuine mistake but maybe not. Just feels a bit shady to me. I would recommend this place regardless just be aware of what they actually charge you. As for me I will not set foot in this place again.

Yelp
Came here after work for happy hour. Great prices, good ambiance, solid beer selection, friendly staff Buffalo cauliflower (4/5) Siders (3/5) Brussel sprouts (4/5)

Yelp
Cool little hipster dive bar. Was walking around, was super hot outside, went in to get a cold beer. I saw jai alai was on the menu and I inquired how this particular beer from Tampa is on the menu at a bar in Philly. Well the proprietor who was serving me said she is from Orlando and she likes this beer. Instant friend. The atmosphere is cozy nice, some lady walked in inquiring about a job and she thats when I heard it was a very lesbian forward bar which is fine with me, I'm not lesbian, nor am I female, but I do like beer and chicken wings and both were tasty. I like this place and would recommend. Nice neighborhood bar.

Yelp
This bar is the BEST bar in Philly. If you come (you should) ask for Lisa. Lisa is the best person around but also happens to be one of the best bartenders ever. I'm sad I don't get to hang out with her everyday. Do yourself a favor and come to this bar and be in her presence. You're welcome

Yelp
Lisa's a hoot. Cool little bar close to old Philly. Worthy the stop, patron behind me says the food is good!

Yelp
Completely disappointed.... Had this place saved for months and I was super excited to go. Shouldn't have had such high hopes. 1 star for ambiance, 1 star for apps Starting with service- it wasn't good. Had to ask for water refills when they had been empty for over 10 minutes, never received napkins while eating, before, or afterwards. Seemed to just not really care on quality of service. Food... absolutely disappointing. I will say that the cheese curds were good and the hummus wasn't bad either. Burgers were ordered medium rare and medium- please look at the pictures to see what we received. Not only that- they were dry, bland, boring and so not worth the price at that point. Not even any mayonnaise or some kind of sauce on it, so again super dry. The crowd pleaser burger apparently has ghost pepper jack cheese on it but there was 0 spicy taste. Also one of the burgers was requested to have no tomatoes and the burger came with three slices. The wrong flatbread came out at first, so that person had to wait to get the correct one. The flavor wasn't too bad on the flatbread but no sage butter taste and overall underwhelming. Definitely not a great experience and with all the other options in the city, I don't see myself returning. Whoever said they had the "best burgers" on here sure fooled me lol... As I said earlier, I was super excited to try this place but it is now so far the worst restaurant I've eaten at in Philly.

Yelp
Just came in as I passed by it. First day of the new drink menu. The black widow and color purple are solid drinks. The black widow is smooth and sweet. The color purple is a nice gin and lavender combo. The veggie meatballs taste like the real thing. They are eggplant based and seasoned well.

Yuritzi R.

Yelp
To Start Off, walking inside of the restaurant it was an experience. The seating was spacious and the ambience was amazing. The bartenders were very friendly, detail attentive and knowledgeable about the drink selections!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I Went to a comedy show at this establishment tonight. We ordered 2 drinks and an appetizer off the virtual menu. When my boyfriend returned to the table with our drinks, he mentioned having to say something about being over charged on our bill. He said it was rectified so I thought ok, no problem. Approximately 45 min later, while we were listening to the comic on stage, a bartender walks up to our table and starts yelling "thanks for the Yelp review, you can leave". I was astonished to say the least. Both my boyfriend and myself were confused. The guy who arranged to comedy show, Keith 2x asked my boyfriend to step outside to talk. I sat there for a minute or two bewildered watching the said bartender( I later learned her name is Lisa) on a rant saying things like "you wanna leave a bad review, you can get out"! I then stepped outside to see what was happening. When I get outside, the comedy show promoter Keith 2X was apologetic and said the manager will not allow us back into their establishment. We asked to speak to the manager and our request was denied. At that time, we left the premises. Once outside, I learned my boyfriend did post a review regarding his experience with the bartender, she was rude and condescending after being questioned about a discrepancy on the bill. The thing is, my boyfriend was right about the overcharge for which she rectified and was rude about it. When my boyfriend spoke to someone from the establishment after we left, via social media, they said the bartender claimed my boyfriend cursed at her. If that were true, why'd she wait almost an hour and after the negative review to have him thrown out? The only interaction my boyfriend had with her(Lisa the bartender) was when he ordered our food and drinks. The bartender didn't appear to be afraid when I was watching the exchange across the room. Nor did any patrons within earshot appear to be staring and watching as if a threatening/intimidating exchange were taking place. As I watched him from my seat, It didn't appear anything was going on, if so, I certainly would have went to the bar to see what was happening. Do you think if a man was cursing out a woman(especially an employee of the establishment) in a crowded bar, other patrons wouldn't bat an eye? Where was security? It didn't appear to be any issue/tension/scene at all. We proceeded to enjoy our food, drinks and the comedy show for almost a hour after said incident without a word from anyone. Lisa was rude and disrespectful! Her actions were unprofessional. This is the person Strangelove's has representing their business. As if that wasn't enough, the owner/manager added insult to injury by blindly defending her actions. I do NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. It's sad to have to leave such a review and I see this isn't the only negative review about Lisa's behavior. It's appears to be an ongoing issue which has not been addressed. This was terrible experience at an establishment we pay for a service, don't waste your time or money.

Yelp
Pretty cool little spot with a nice laid back atmosphere. Went on a Tuesday for the quizzo and had a fun time. Got their signature burger and it was well put together and tasty. Overall a good experience. Thanks

Yelp
The vibe is very dive bar meets hipster bar, which is kind of fun and unique. They had an old black and white movie playing as well as another TV playing Bob Ross. - Music is good. The vibe really kicks up after happy hour. Pros: - They have happy hour Mon-Fri 4-7pm, which is a great timeframe, and you can sit anywhere, not at the bar like at most places. - The mac and cheese balls are very good- they taste kind of like mozz sticks, as they're served with marinara. - The pulled pork sliders are good-- like a 3.9/5. Cons: - There are no happy hour cocktails; you can get well drinks (we got a margarita each) but they're not good-- I'd rather waste the calories on a full price cocktail each. The avocado fries are actually fried avocado. It's unique but I wouldn't order again.

Yelp
I was immediately created by a beautiful woman with dark straight hair. The service was lovely. i also really appreciated how they had a clear sign stating that they were bar service after 4pm because i feel awkward going out not knowing what to do when i go out. food were amazing and the drinks were strong but really good. Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
Strangelove's how have y'all slipped through my happy hour fingers? Stopped in for dinner and a lil bar hop. I love how relaxed it was in there for a Friday night. So relaxed they were playing Bob Ross up in there (I ain't mad at that). We were greeted as soon as we walked in. When I saw the cocktail/shot menu I knew I'd be coming back immediately! I loved my "u-hauling" and pineapple upside down shot. The food? Not too shabby at all.

Yelp
What an amazing unique space. The interior is super cute. They were decorated for Halloween which gave 100% fall vibes. They have a really unique drink menu and about 12 different shots. The best part about this place though, is the staff. The bartenders were super friendly and really just seemed happy to be there. Went for Happy Hour on Fridsy and they have a pretty decent happy hour menu. Only negatives we did try the hummus and I wasn't really thrilled. The hummus was super runny and salty. The other food people had looked pretty good so I would try something else next time.
google avatar

Nat R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I think the quality of this restaurant has gone down compared to when it started. The food was very bland and overstated. As an example, their "truffle" fries were regular fries but with a TINY bit of parmesan cheese on top, no salt, yet $2 more expensive than the regular fries. The service was disappointing. The server kept forgetting about our table and I had to walk to him to place an order. We had to rely on another server for assistance throughout our meal. The place remains clean and charming. Just a pity that the food and service are not what they used to be.

Yelp
Great drinks, kind service, delicious food (I love the buffalo wings they're SO spicy and delicious) Kids will love this if you want to go there with kids. My server, Allison was SO kind and made the BEST Shirley Temple she even let us do half and half for the wings (best wings ever compliments to the chef) you have to go there. You will love it. :)

Yelp
had an absolutely amazing birthday here. everyone was so amazing, they made me feel so special! the food and drinks were incredible. the atmosphere was perfect for a group and photos. cannot wait to go back. definitely a place you would want to celebrate at.

Marisa B.

Yelp
Do NOT come here. They didn't get our food out for an hour and a half. But even better they double charged us the cost of the entree any time we asked them where our food was! Then they didn't take it off at the end and accused us of lying. Oh and EVEN BETTER. They charged us for full priced drinks even though we ordered at happy hour because we closed out our tabs after happy hour (even though it was their fault because we waited for food). They also charge for playing bingo. Also the bartender was SO mean.
google avatar

Bekke S.

Yelp
A dive bar meets an old-Philly bar. They have a kid. It's this bar. Interior: warm, wooden, cozy. There's a long bar enough for several parties of two with space to spare. Clean, and purse hooks under the bar (which is always a major plus for me, personally.) The (only) bartender was nice enough, for sure, but seemed a little distracted. Not even really "busy" but kinda text on her phone for a bit a couple times and disappeared to the back for a while periodically, so it was a little difficult to get her attention sometimes, even though there weren't a ton of people there. Nothing but nice things to say about her, though. Overheard her having a nice conversation with who was clearly a regular and she just seemed like a sweetie. The food (other than the onion rings, as random as that sounds)was mainly the reason for the lack of the last star, everything else was pretty great. It just wasn't super tasty. I regret ordering the avocado fries, for whatever that's worth (insert sweating, laughing emoji here.) If you're just looking for a simple drink at a simply lovely neighborhood bar, try this guy out. Even though it escaped the 3 star judgment, to be honest, with all the other bars around the city I have yet to discover, chances are you won't be running into me here again.

Yelp
So, I love this place. The server/bartenders, Brittany and Kat were 10/10. They was so friendly from the moment that we met them that we felt so welcome. Brittany did shots with our entire table and we felt like family. As for the food, it was so damn good. Their HH menu can't be beat. I can't believe I didn't know about it until now because it was great for vegetarians and not. We had many of the $6 shots and loved all of them. Every drink had plenty of alcohol. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a good time and somewhere where you feel like family!! Even bigger bonus is that it's a LGBTQ friendly establishment so everyone will feel welcome here. They also had Parks and Rec and Bob Ross playing on the TVs the whole time. So if that doesn't encourage you to come, I don't know what will.

Marvin J.

Yelp
Sorry to say I was disappointed. New to the area, looking for a good burger. Passed this place, and it looked cozy and comfortable and had some interesting burgers on the menu. Went in about 5pm, 3 young girls behind the bar, none seemed real interested in being there. Burger supposed to be a half pound, seemed more like a McDonald's quarter pounder. Ordered medium rare, came medium well. Should of had flavor, but had none. Had shredded bacon on top and ghost pepper cheese, and still bland and tasteless. Bun was falling apart, so not fresh. Also, happy hour beers $2 off are 12 oz, non happy hour is a pint so no bargain. Bottom line, pick another place. Just read the other recent reviews, they seem to all say the same thing I did

Yelp
Kat was awesome!!!!! It was one of my friends bday and she recommended all these shots to us that definitely hit the spot!!!! If it wasn't for Kat I would've left the bar!! She is freaking awesome and the only reason why I will be returning!! I am from LA and heard about the legend, the myth of Kat and decided to see it for myself !!! She had great convo , great cocktail recommendations plus the shot she poured were on point!! I will be returning for her!!!!! Haven't had the food but she said it was delicious so I will try next time. They have Sunday brunch specials as well as Bingo night on Tuesday!! Kat thank you!! There is outdoor seating as well as tables inside.

Yelp
Went for happy hour we did 2 specials, both terrible. The tacos and cheesesteak; 2 very very stale shells that was probably the smallest portions i ever seen before. The cheesesteak was tiny, barely any meat made with cheese wiz! gross. Bartender was nice!

Yelp
I arrived early in the afternoon expecting an empty bar and was surprised to see close to a dozen people inside. The inside is long and narrow with the bar on the right, and tables on the left. There are more tables in the back. I sat at the bar and a friendly bartender named Kelcey took my order. I got the classic cheeseburger with fries, and an Atomic Pumpkin Spicy beer from New Belgium brewery. The burger was pretty good and the fries were excellent. The beer was decent. My 2nd beer was Strange Magic IPA from Fat Head brewery. My 3rd was Superhero Sidekicks. Another IPA. Both were pretty good. Kelcey is one of the best bartenders I've ever been served by. When the crowd thinned out and I was one of the only customers left, she hung by and talked to me for quite some time. We had a really nice conversation. She has excellent customer service skills. If I'm ever in Philly again, I'll definitely stop by again.

Yelp
Good bartenders, laidback when I was there and decent selection of drinks. Bar food.

Yelp
We came here to have lunch and drinks. There was only one person waiting on the bar as well as tables and she was NOT in a good mood and we could tell that she did not want to be there. The food was just ok as well as the drinks. We will n to return.

Yelp
Looks like a cool spot, but our entire table of 12 people were all alienated one by one, not all at once, by what can only be described as last years discount model hipster. Complete with Elvis Costello glasses, try-hard trucker hat and extreme impatience, she barked at me when I said I wanted a whiskey. Before I could ask her what she had available she spat "well bourbon, rye, scotch... what?" Hmmm Bourbon sounds tasty... "UP, ON THE ROCKS, NEAT WHAT?!" Well cover me in kisses and call me cupid! SHITE, I didn't know you were so easily flummoxed! Cry your pardon sai, but I think I smell your tip burning up in the alley behind your well curated dive. Did I mention that each of these irritated little outbursts was accompanied by fully animated hand gestures signaling her desire to speed things up? I steadily found out over the course of the next hour that the rest of our party all had similar experiences with her. Again, that was 11 other people in the same hour. Curiously enough, the drinks were not delivered in as timely a manner as the excited and animated nature of the bartender would suggest. I know, dear reader; I was shocked too. It's a shame, I mean when I'm in that neighborhood next and want an almost halfway well made cocktail, I'm just out of options now. But hey I hope you enjoyed the concert you closed the place at 9:30 to go see on a Saturday.

Yelp
I've been looking for a new fun bar for awhile now, and I'm so glad I came across this place. Came here with a few friends for some drinks and this place did not disappoint! I really loved how low key this place is, I would have completely missed it if I didn't use the GPS. Their drink menu is really fun, they even have a shot menu of different shots for $6 everyday! They also serve food as well. We only had their wings and fries which were okay, but I'd be down to go back and try some other things!

Yelp
I stopped in here on a Thursday around 5pm with my kiddo and wife. There were a few people at one table and a few people at the bar. Other than that, the place was empty. We chose our table and put in our drink orders. I'm not entirely sure why, but it took about 8 minutes to get my wife's beer. The waitress kind of just stood around waiting for it to fill up under the bar so I wasn't able to see what was going on, but we were clearly waiting to order food, so she could have done that in the meantime. Oh well. Once she came back, we ordered the whipped ricotta, fried brussels sprouts, Strangelove's Burger and Crabby Sammy. The ricotta and brussels came first about 15 minutes later. The ricotta was creamy and delicious. It came paired with some nuts and pears which went really nicely. There was a flavor missing that I couldn't put my finger on. Sweet? Salty? I honestly don't know what it was. Regardless, it was still really yummy. The brussels were just ok. The outer layer was really crispy and flavorful, but just beyond that, they were hardly cooked and even slightly cold in the middle. They definitely needed some more time in the fryer. The burger was cooked a little more than I wanted, but was still flavorful and filling. I didn't try the crab cake, but my wife and kid ate it up. All in all, the meal was pretty good. After we finished eating, it took a while to get the waitress' attention for the check. So while the meal was pretty good, the service could use some improvement.

Yelp
Everything about this place was bad. No service...we had to find someone to take our order. Bartender was barely conscious. Food was less than edible. Not sure who is posting good reviews here but I suspect a conspiracy.

Yelp
Went in at 10:59 on a Monday night and the bartender states "we closed at 9". That puzzled me and my companion because the door was unlocked and there was 5 or 6 ppl inside.

Yelp
It really pains me to write this review but I feel obliged to for the sake of others. Yesterday, my friends and I went out for my some drinks and food. A female server had initially told us that there was no table service and we were fine with that. At some point, this server and a male server started taking the order and serving us food. The service wasn't particularly amazing but what really struck is how rude the male server. He was slamming the plates on the table and taking our food before we even finished eating. We asked him what time the place was closing he said "last call is now." Last call doesn't necessarily equate to closing time, so my friend asked again what time is closing. He repeated "last call is now" rudely several times. We asked are you closing now and he rudely said "we're just waiting for you guys to leave." The issue is Google and their website had contradicting and confusing closing times, which is fine but he could have told us the closing time politely. Mind you it was 9:30 pm at this point. I decided that I would only tip him 10%. He was incredibly rude and neither servers who took turns serving us offered exceptional service. Now, here's when things take a turn for the worst. My friends and I were talking outside the restaurant and the male server comes out and starts CURSING us out over the tip. We were AFRAID for our safety and well being. One of my friends even took out a $10 bill and gave it to him but he still would not stop verbally attacking us. At some point, we realized that he appeared to be under the influence of something. I have pictures and videos of this incident and the server but I will refrain my posting those. As a group of people of color (POC), we truly wonder if the outcome would have been different if we were not POC and if this attack was racially motivated to an extent. It is truly sad and I hope management does something to prevent this from happening again.
