Hotels Around The World With Farm-to-Table Restaurants

"Rebuilt after the 1988 hurricane destroyed the original Georgian house, this mountain retreat maintains a traditional feel, with bungalows built to meticulous nineteenth-century specifications. You sleep in mahogany four-poster beds shrouded in muslin and sway in a hammock while gazing at stunning mountain landscapes, epitomizing bygone colonial living at its finest—the perfect place for a rum punch and white linen. A historic salon for the likes of Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones, it continues the tradition by encouraging guests to mingle, debate, and jam." - Sophie Friedman

Google
Good selection, but moves fast as they are very popular. Staff was very helpful with suggestions based on what we wanted from our garden. Reasonable prices too. We'll definitely continue to get plants from there.

This place was huge! There are so many beautiful flowers, veggies, and fruit trees at a decent price. I didn't get to see everything before my son had our cart loaded, but I'll return. Wish the annual and preanuals were labeled or separated better because I'm new to flowers and have no idea what will come back next year.

Love the selection at Strawberry fields! Friendly workers and such a variety in spring and fall. We just picked up a lot of pumpkins, gords and colorful mums to decorate for the season. Nice prices and a beautiful location.

Google
Tons of very healthy plants to choose from, I've always had great luck with their plants, awesome service too, there's always someone available to help you find what your looking for. highly recommend! Everything is marked down 6-2-23! Still have lots of gorgeous baskets, plants and potted plants As of 5-31-24 still lots of beautiful hanging baskets, flowing plants and veggie plants available, you won't be disappointed!

Google
Great and large selection, healthy plants, good prices. This is my first visit and I'll probably never shop at any of the big box stores like Lowe's or Home Depot Garden centers again. Looking forward to my next trip

I personally like these farms because they have a lot of flowers and other trees collection and the price is reasonable.

Yelp
Large selection of flowers and plants. Perennials and Annuals. Many native Missouri wildflowers as well. Hanging baskets are gorgeous and we buy 2 every year. All of our plants have been healthy throughout the summer. Employees are very knowledgeable and assist with any questions.

Yelp
This place is an extravagance of flowers, plants and bushes! Don't miss it! Plenty of hour wheel carts to carry out your green treasures. If they don't have what your looking for, be surprised! One of most efficient check out counters I've found.

Yelp
The best flowers in this area. Everyone is so helpful. Last year I had problems with my back. They helped me load my cart and car.

Yelp
I was in Columbia for a day trip with my husband and a friend and we decided to buy some specialty pumpkins. After finding Strawberry Hill Farms through a random Google search, we drove out and were not disappointed. We were the only people there, so we felt a little guilty intruding, but the woman who helped us was extremely nice and friendly. Unfortunately, they did not have any nice, large pumpkins for sale due to the weather (hot growing season + little rain was not good for the pumpkins), but they had a very nice selection of mini pumpkins and mini gourds. The prices were very reasonable a- 5 for $2, so we bought 10. They also had large, beautiful cushaw gourds for $4. I'll decorate now and then chop it up later to make a cushaw pie. If you're in the area and don't mind a bit of a drive, check out Strawberry Hill Farms.

Yelp
When I moved to Columbia 15 years ago, I tried buying plants from everywhere. I ran across Strawberry Hills Farm and bought a few the first year. I was amazed at the difference in the size of the plants and how many flowers they produced compared to the others I had bought elsewhere. I now go and find my "plant family friends" always ready to help me decide which plants I should plant where and how to care for them. Over the years, I have one by one taken my children there and they are like me...they will buy no where else. Now my neighbors have all seen my plants compared to theirs, and they are also now going to there to buy their plants. The people there are like good friends...helping in any way they can. I can't say enough about the Sapps, the plants there...and amazingly, their prices are comparable to the other places, and in many instances, even less. Treat yourself...once you go there, you will have trouble in going anywhere else. You will be amazed !
