"Owned by former Seattle Post-Intelligencer (RIP) columnist Mike Lewis, the Streamline is an untouchable Old Seattle institution known as a haunt for journos — and don’t let anyone tell you the old Streamline is a single drop better than the new one. Yes, the original spot was a few blocks away, on the same block as Ozzie’s, but all of the crust and dust followed it like a neighborhood cat when it moved in 2015. The current Streamline has the same drunks, the same enormous oval-shaped bar and green pleather stools, the same pinball machines and pool tables — they even brought the toilets over. Drinks are still cheap as hell, and the food’s still pretty good. Plus that cool-ass red-and-black checkerboard floor will delight even the Oldest Seattle curmudgeon. It’s like if there were a dive bar at the bottom of Alice’s rabbit hole." - Meg van Huygen, Mark DeJoy, Eater Staff

Google
Definitely has a dive bar atmosphere. Bartenders were quick to serve us, they had a water cooler in the corner which was awesome for hydrating. Pool table and some pinball games as well. Drinks were cold and fresh. Place was very crowded after the kraken game but I liked it a lot!

Google
Great dive bar, amazing bartender full of energy and laughter. Great beer though there really was no menu and the food is served later in the day which was disappointing. They have cool little games like chess, jenga and others. The walls are covered in writing and there are these cool Christmas lights up. Really fun place to hang and have a drink.

Google
One of the highlights of my Seattle visit. Fun, relaxing, casual and shows a feeling of neighborhood. Great food, great prices and great staff.

Claire Dillow

Google
Great local dive bar. Dedicated and loyal community of local patrons. Bartenders are super friendly and great at their jobs.

Eric Phillips

Google
I always love visiting this place. It’s a staple in the community, a great place to have a pint, visit with friends and just hang out. I will keep coming back as long as Schilling Cider is available!

Christopher Taylor

Google
As a bar dweller who travels, I passed by this place a few times because it was near my room and supposed that I might find myself in here. Glad I did. The one empty barstool put me in great company for the night, the food served from a window in the other room appeared to satisfy everyone's needs. Great oval bar!

Catherine Jacob-Dolan

Google
a great local dive bar spot - they prefer cash but do take card and have reasonably priced beers and great fries

Olivia W

Google
Nothing to write home about, but no major complaints either. Fine for your dive bar feel. They have a solid wraparound bar, booth seating, some outdoor seating, and pool and pinball. All in all a solid spot and just what you’d expect. I have not tried their food or seen anyone order it, so I can’t comment on the eats.

Yelp
Showed up to meet a friend before 5 pm, accidentally before a Kraken game. The service was good and the bar tender was super nice. Ordered some food. It was fine. The energy was cozy and dive bar. Not sure what people are complaining about. Lower your expectations maybe?

Yelp
My friends come to this bar often. I joined tonight and instantly regretted it. I tried to order a draft beer from pfriem brewing, I pointed to it on the chalkboard as well. But because I didn't pronounce it correctly I was ridiculed and embarrassed by the server (PATTI) and in turn, wouldn't serve me. I tried to explain but she refused to listen. I do not plan on returning nor would recommend this place to others.

Yelp
Great bar. Great people! Try the Seattle Dog. It's hands down the best hotdog I have ever had.

Dane C.

Yelp
Outstanding dive! I Liked the old location better but it got torn down. but still a great dive.

Cj C.

Yelp
Great vibes but slow service sometimes. Gotta love this place before a Kracken game. Moonberry cider is good and bring some quarters for pool.

Dan H.

Yelp
Affordable drinks. Probably the most affordable drinks in all of seattle. Truly a seattle dive bar. Dingy lights with writing all over the walls and ceiling and truly an interesting crowd. Bathrooms are totally gross and could be improved but hey i'm not willing to dock a star just for that.

Yelp
Dive time at streamline! Came here on a Packed Saturday night for some drinks and I remarked to the doorman that it looked like New Years in here. He got a good chuckle out and was real mellow which for me seems to be a good sign of a place. Right off the bat I was surprised how cheap the drinks are here. Surprised at how awesome it is. I got the first round for me and a friend and it was only $15! These were mixed drinks too, I'm used to paying that much for just 1 not 2! Following that, they were pretty good too, considering how mobbed the barkeep was. Again this place is DIVEY - drabby, low lit, old and shabby looking furniture and just looks overall worn, save for the stickers and such plastered all over as if to help hide it. Even the sign outside looks it would be at some roadside stop. I had some wings which were pretty good. Some were fat and saucy. Chatted up some of characters who let's just say they were at the end of their streamlines and fit right into to the atmosphere. One of whom looked like Tommy Wiseau. Maybe it was him? Fun spot. Would go back for the drinks for sure.

Yelp
After and hour and a half flight to Seattle, three of us took an Uber to our Airbnb and unpacked. We were ready for a cold one at a nearby bar. This place was right around the corner and upon entering we were greeted by the bartender and grabbed a seat at the large bar. After getting some good information about local places to eat/drink, we downed a couple of beers and were off to get some fish and chips. Nice people at this dive bar and a good start to what we all hope is a great trip in Seattle.

Ken L.

Yelp
I came back again when it was not after an event near the Seattle Center area. Great service and friendly bartenders. No issues at all. If you must get a drink after an event - beware that this place will get packed. Otherwise, it's great when it's not after an event.

Files M.

Yelp
Presents itself as chill and unpretentious but is actually the opposite. Very woke vibes. Lots of single women who can't get a man and are angry about it. Try the tacos and wash them down with a pint of feminist tears.

K B.

Yelp
Hidden gem. Great spot to stop before or after a C Pledge event. They have all the drinks and a friendly, quick staff. If you can snag a spot at the u shaped bar it's great people watching and more on the social side.

Derek B.

Yelp
This place has got to be one of Seattle's best dive bars. From the interior and exterior looks of it...it's an old house wooden house. Warm and cozy with dark moody lighting, a long classic old bar where when seated you can see everything , almost everywhere all at once. X mas lights hanging from the walls, old classic neon booze lights, booth tables, a couple of flat screens,,, music on the PA but the cacophony of bar chatter drowns it all out. It's a few minutes from the Climate Pledge Arena( aka formerly Key Arena).Lots of locals and a several out of towners like myself. Me loves it. Talk about frenetic energy and good vibes! Good bang for your buck .

Michael B.

Yelp
The perfect dive bar! Super friendly staff, and a classic neighborhood bar vibe. Food is good, great local beers on tap, and a few pinball machines.

Lauren P.

Yelp
Prior to the Kraken game, we were looking for somewhere to pregame. We love dive bars and Streamline is pretty close to Climate Pledge, so we headed here! You walk in and definitely can see it's a dive. Dark, chalk writing on the ceilings, and people at the bar who are clearly regulars. My type of place. They even have a cool little game room area! Prices are a little more expensive than what's listed in their Yelp pictures, but not too bad. Maybe $2-$4 more on most things (which is to be expected with inflation). We were pretty excited to try the food, but the bartender let us know they were only doing deep fried foods to make sure they didn't get behind with an influx of people coming in from the game. He wasn't very nice about relaying that message but we understood - although we were confused, because they didn't get busy at all even up to an hour before the game. That said, we ordered a plethora of fried foods to still snack on something and support. We got chicken strips, fries, tots, mozzarella sticks, and jalapeno poppers. Way too much food for two people, but we tried. The standout for me was definitely the jalapeno poppers! They were so good. The chicken strips were also good, but... It's chicken strips. I think it's worth noting the experience is a little different if you're going on a game day - so just be prepared for that! Overall, I'd return for the atmosphere and to try some stuff off of their regular menu (was really excited for that dang Seattle Dog).

Cheryl K.

Yelp
Great experience here in a neighborhood bar after going to an event a Climate Pledge. Food was excellent, but be sure to bring cash for the grub. Drinks are orders separately at the upstairs bar where you can use credit. Loved the vibe!

Daniel G.

Yelp
First off dive bars are my go to bars. This is as divey as it gets; local regulars, pool, Smokey smell, punk decor and cheap drinks. I stopped here while In town for work to people watch and grab a couple drinks and am glad I did. Streamline had a great vibe, great bartender, cheap drinks and made me wish I was a regular.

Luba K.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Came here after a comedy show across the street and it did not disappoint. The bathrooms have fun graffiti, full of stories ;) Bartenders are really friendly and speedy. The only downfall is you have to order the food at a separate counter and they only take cash (but they do have an ATM machine). To my surprise, the cocktails were made really well, despite the hole in the wall vibe of this place. We had a rye old fashioned and a greyhound. Will definitely be back!

Ron D.

Yelp
While Yelp says Happy Hour Micros pints are $4.50, I was charged $7.00, a dollar off.

John C.

Yelp
Best bar in Seattle! Keeping the spirit of the city alive with cheap drinks, great community! Enough said.

Yelp
We arrived 2 hours before the Lizzo concert, which was perfect to snag a big table for our group. Despite it getting busier, the staff were more than friendly, so genuine. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was laid back and festive at the same time. Unfortunately, as others have noted, before the concert they only had the fried foods for purchase and they only take cash to pay for food. I would love to come here again for any occasion, big or small.

Gina H.

Yelp
This place was ok. I was hoping for a little community in what remains to be one of the last dive bars in this area. After the Pandemic, it seems like all the neighborhoods spots were gone. It was freezing inside on a cold winter's day, so I only stayed for an hour, but in my two beers on a later weekday afternoon. I had hoped the vibe to be a little more welcoming... IDK if I'll ever come back.

Kasey C.

Yelp
This is literally the closest I've ever found to Cheers in real life, a true third place

Todd S.

Yelp
Cool little bar and good vibe among patrons. To be blunt the bartenders suck. Judgmental millennials who have zero customer service skills. What type of bartender complains about not getting a tip before you even close your tab out? What type of bartender says "you're needy!" when you ask for a small glass of water to take your prescription meds with? These bartenders that's who. Only deep fried food on Kraken game nights is another awful way not to do business.

Trista H.

Yelp
I love dive bars and Streamline didn't fail. Free street parking can be found. Credit cards are accepted in the bar (located upstairs) area. The kitchen (located downstairs) accepts cash only. Happy hour is offered in the bar daily from 4pm-7pm. A barrel of peanuts (self-serve) is available to snack on while slurping. On Thursday's, beef and bean tacos are $1 from 5pm-11pm. Streamline doesn't offer table-service. Drinks orders are placed and picked up at the bar. Food orders are placed at the kitchen window. Food orders are dropped off at ones' table (the cook will "find you"). Streamline doesn't have AC so expect to sweat during warm days. Tables are on the small side so the fit is snug. A single pool table is located downstairs for those interested in shooting pool. An outdoor patio/deck is available for smokers or for those wishing to sit outdoors. Pints of Manny's were $4 (hh). My wife and I shared the Chicken Strip Basket w/ Tots for $8. Perfect bar grub. Staff are blunt, unapologetic and real. Perfect to me. Patrons were all over the spectrum. You could tell that everybody just wanted to have a good time while slurping on an ice-cold brew. Thank you Streamline for keeping it real and unpretentious. I/we will find ourselves in your bar before every Key Arena event going forward.

Miles K.

Yelp
Classic Seattle dive bar with a friendly and attentive staff. This place is very popular and can get packed, especially before a kraken game or concert. There's a billiard area down the stairs in the back if you want to spread out. This is a really fun place and always welcoming if you're looking to knock back a couple cold ones with some good people.

Logan M.

Yelp
Downtown Seattle can be a little bougie depending on where you end up but this place is the perfect dive a couple blocks from the Space Needle. Cheap drinks, good times and people. Enjoy.

Ian G.

Yelp
Looks like 90% of all these bad reviews were written by the Kraken Karens or the arena event bridge and tunnel crowd. But they keep on comin', and that's when all the locals leave. They sardine pack the place, and subsequently whine (online) about waiting for a drink. 1 star to you too Kraken Karens. I highly suggest you try Ozzies instead. Streamlione is the best dive in Queen Anne and in my top three in Seattle. Local, friendly regulars, of all ages and socioeconomic levels. There is an amazing mural in the back of some beer cans, delicious bar food downstairs, 75 cent pool table. But the best part of this bar is the fact that you are forced to interact with or at least look at other people, due to the the way the bar is structured. It's a welcome change from looking at bottles on the wall. Much love to Dave, Mary, Mike, and Patti.

Brian C.

Yelp
I think this place would be better on a sunny summer day. Gorgeous bartender and friendly other that that the bar itself was just sort of ok. It was freezing inside like the heat hadn't been run in some time and it was 45 degrees out and felt just as cold inside. Drinks were ok seating was barstools mostly. Dim lighting and a real bar bar so for what it is I gave it a four but it borders a three. Menu for food is burger, fry, the standard. Nothing to write home about.

Evan H.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were staying at The Maxwell hotel for my birthday last night and we decided to check this bar out. We love divey, low key, chill bars. And this bar is definitely it! The bartenders were all very friendly and had a good pour. We decided to get food. The food menu is nothing special but when you're drinking it helps to eat a good Seattle dog. But let's be real, the star of this bar is the chef, DIAMOND DAVE! Super cool guy who wished me a happy birthday, bought me a shot, and had the whole bar sing happy birthday. Really awesome night that was made special by that little gesture from Diamond Dave. This place is definitely a new favorite.

Pablo M.

Yelp
ok... so good cheap drinks, was told "it's too busy" for house shots. Every drink, even song requests after when a major concert packs your bar on a "slow day"... i havnt been to a bar where the staff is to busy to serve or cater to its customers. unfortunately, not being from here i'm not ok with this horrid service. If you're coming to an event, avoid this bar. It's obviously resting on it's good location, staff should appreciate the work that goes to making a good bar... i never leave a bad review because i'm a happy person... but.... yeah...

Aaron B.

Yelp
Hanging out in one of the coolest Bars I found. Streamline Tavern. So glad they are still open and surviving the pandemic. They are operating under the current Covid guidelines so seating inside is limited. They have a fully operational kitchen and run a Thursday Taco Special. Absolutely the best $2 tacos in Seattle! Great place / Great atmosphere/ Good food & Good times. Also - excellent staff that is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Highly recommend

Margaret E.

Yelp
Best time!! Thanks Kelsey!!! You are awesome!!! Cheers!!! If you're in the area definitely a place to visit!

Diana A.

Yelp
The food is so good and reasonably priced. Please support the restaurant here, we want them to succeed and stay.

Robert S.

Yelp
Nice comfortable dive bar. Cheap beer. Nothing to complain about - fun place to people watch too!

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
This place is the PERFECT hole in the wall BUT would be a little bit better with pick up sticks

James N.

Yelp
Avoid this place at all costs ! There was one person in front of me and I ended up waiting 10 minutes for the bartender. After getting my drinks there was not only a fruit fly in my drink but also my dates drink. When I went to complain the bartender got defensive and said "this is happening to everyone in Queen Anne!" When I said that is still gross she said should could remake them but is just going to refund me. While refunding me she complained again to me for not tipping. I don't have to tip, and I certainly wont tip after waiting 10 minutes for a drink with bugs in it. Again, avoid this place at all costs.

Chelsea G.

Yelp
Great bar. Super casual and full of Seattle natives. Solid, inexpensive food - we had the tacos and tots and they were yum. Make sure to bring cash for food downstairs, however they accept card for drinks upstairs. This is definitely a locals bar so if you're new to Seattle or visiting, be respectful of it's history. Don't come in and go wild. This is a chill spot for chill nights.

Malia M.

Yelp
This is a great dive bar in Lower Queen Anne. I like its hometown feel. Service was super quick. Their food is on the better end of the spectrum for dive bar food. Lots of seating and always a great neighborhood vibe. If you're in the area from out of town, this is a great spot for a very casual beer or drink that isn't far from the Space Needle or nearby attractions. Definitely one of the better casual spots in this area that isn't a sports bar.

Nancy G.

Yelp
Came to visit kids from California & found this bar near my sons work. What a great place! Kimmie the bartender was friendly & attentive! Great drinks & down to earth vibes! Recommend & will be back next time I'm in town!

Jenny G.

Yelp
I never leave negative reviews but this bar really deserves the worst review. We (my husband and I) were in town for a hockey game and stopped in for a beer. The place was pretty empty on a Wednesday afternoon. Ordered beers and the millennial bartender told us they didn't have that, despite a sign saying they did. She then told us we'd do better at McMenamin's, basically asking us to leave in a sarcastic way. Apparently this bar is making so much money (or are still flush with gov PPP money) they can pick and choose who they serve. 0/10 do not recommend.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Enjoyed coming here but really feel like they've gone downhill recently. The bartenders generally seem like they don't want you there. Very cool environment overall but the workers suck

Eugene R.

Yelp
Generally a good place but super rude bartender ruins it

David E.

Yelp
Met up with some friends here and really enjoyed the place. I don't know if I would call it a dive bar but it felt very comfortable. Drinks were good and reasonably priced for the area. We ordered several things from the grill and it was all very good. The burger was fantastic and the cook was very accommodating with my Keto requests. Will stop in anytime I am in the area

Michael F.

Yelp
Surprisingly dope. Definitely a dive bar. Vibes stand up to getting some drinks with a friend or coming out for a date.

Sarah K.

Yelp
This place is awesome. No frills, drive bar with free peanuts and cheap beer. The food is amazing - classic bar food.

Harold D.

Yelp
Best bar in Seattle. Said that out loud here one time and the barkeep chuckled at me. I stand by it. Be nice wait your turn appreciate that dark, homey, chill dives like this are rare.

James C.

Yelp
Very good "hole in the wall" type of bar. Friendly people, good prices and decent selection of beverages

Jason H.

Yelp
This place is as reviewed. I only saw one television, so this is not a sports bar (which is a plus in my book). Credit card okay at bar. More seats around the bar than most places in the area. There are also bench seats. Couple pinball machines. For food you need cash. Because of a Yelp review, I knew I could place my order (and pay) at kitchen window and food would 'find' me at the bar-which it did. Came here on a Saturday around 5pm. Happy Hour is nice.

Orin F.

Yelp
My favorite 'dive' bar in town. Cheap drinks, friendly bartenders, and the most interesting crowd of locals around. Love everything about it. Taco Thursday is not the taco night you're looking for (or there may be none left for ME).
