This is our Saturday family breakfast spot. The kids love the baked goods especially the banana bread and the zucchini bread. The wife and I usually opt for the quiche and a two egg breakfast. Everything is wonderful and fresh. The service is outstanding. They really go above and beyond to make our kid’s day. They also do a daily lunch special as well as have a full offering of coffees and espressos. It’s a great lunch spot for friends, a date or a quick lunch meeting.

This was a hidden gem literally, because you would see no cafe signs. However, customers kept coming, they're obviously regulars. I would've become a regular myself if I lived in this area. Everything was delicious here and it felt like we're eating a homemade breakfast at a good friend's house. Danielle and her team was cheerful and friendly. Better yet, this place was dog friendly. Highly recommend.

We stopped by Street Dog Cafe on our way through Waco and tried a taco and a cranberry orange scone. Both were really good. The food was high quality, super fresh, and the portions were generous. The scone was especially delicious. It was flaky, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was phenomenal. The girl who took my order was incredibly patient and kind. She took her time with me and made the whole experience feel very welcoming. At one point, we thought our order was wrong (it wasn’t), and they were quick to address it without any hesitation. I was very impressed. The only downside for me was the coffee. They use Merit beans, which a lot of people like, but I personally find them a bit bitter and sour. If you’re someone who enjoys Merit coffee, you’ll probably be just fine. We also asked for honey in our iced coffee, but it wasn’t mixed into the hot espresso before being iced, so the honey didn’t dissolve. Still, if you like Merit coffee or just want really good food and kind, attentive service, I absolutely recommend giving this place a try.

Everything I tried was so good. The savory and sticky buns were both good. The breakfast pizza was the perfect temperature egg, I was very impressed with how perfectly the yolk was for it. My wife got the daily special which was a veggie egg bake and it was very light and refreshing yet still filling, she was full and I got to enjoy it too. We’ll be back! Hopefully they make some biscuits and gravy some time as a special because their baked goods are great and I reminisced about the Lula Janes Saturday morning biscuits and gravy

We came to Street dog cafe and really enjoyed our time! We had the quiche, breakfast pizza, London fog, and lattes. Everything was freshly made and yummy, but we weren’t blown away by any of it. Service was great and everyone was lovely and kind! We will be back whenever in Waco!

I’m so surprised this place wasn’t packed with how lovely the food, drinks, service, and place is! If you’re looking for a great cafe experience for hanging out or working, Street Dog is the location for you:) It’s super cute and the barista was really nice! My cappuccino was extremely enjoyable, and I loved that they had a couple gluten free options for food. We recommend the breakfast pizza, as well as the pumpkin bread and matcha latte. This does seem to be a more natural/health concious place, so for me it’s perfect, but if youre looking for sweeter stuff, just keep that in mind. Still, they seem to have a good selection on their menu, so I’m sure anyone could find something they would enjoy!

The sticky bun... It took me on a journey back to my parents house. Waking up in the morning and smelling the sweet aroma of cinnamon and caramel wafting through the air as I walk down the stairs to the dining room. I knew what was waiting on the dining room table long before my foot ever took the final step onto the first floor of the house... a sticky bun covered in delightfully melted caramel to the perfect color and texture, chewy, but not tough, sugary, but not overwhelming. Cinnamon delicately spread within each layer of the bun, revealed with each bite. It's difficult to recreate my mom's sticky bun (although she graciously gifted me her 50+ year old recipe, even my attempts are in vain at times), but Street Dog Cafe has gotten dangerously close. While the Street Dog Cafe sticky bun isn't visibly covered in caramel like my mom's were, the same caramel taste is present and undeniable. The flavor was simply remarkable, delighting my taste buds with each bite, from the first to the very last morsel. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on that!

9/27 I’ve never been in this area of Waco before but I saw it on KWTX that Elm street was back open so I stopped by walked around and found this spot! Super cute the coffee is really good i got a brown sugar cinnamon iced latte with oat milk and that carrot cake is to die for!! I had it warmed up and it really make me want to melt and just cuddle up, felt like fall for a second in this heat! I definitely will be coming back the place is simple, but cute and a they have a patio. The service was fast and the workers were sweet and patient with me.

Yelp
Shared quiche with my cousin. Took carrot cake home to share with my husband. The food here is always a solid choice. Service friendly. Fresh coffee. Picked up some doggy treats as well.

Yelp
I'm so tired of places asking for a tip when I have to go up and order. The employee was nice enough but didn't ask if I wanted anything to drink or try to upsell me at all. She brought me my sticky bun with no utensil or napkin. I had to get up and get it myself. The bun was obviously warmed up in the microwave because half of it was cold and hard. The part that was warm was okay. Then they have a tub for dirty dishes out for everyone to see. I'm guessing this is for the guests to clear their own tables which I'm not going to do after I tipped you. There's no need for me to ever go back to this place.

Yelp
Amazing coffee & cinnamon rolls! Come here to try the whole menu. They serve Merit Coffee. It is perfectly smooth and fabulous.

Yelp
The food is all homemade, and you can taste the love that went into it. I love that they have plates of some of the things they have on the menu at the counter, so you see what it actually looks like. We ordered more than what we planned on because we got to see the food, and it looked so delicious, and it was! We are making that our Saturday morning place.

Yelp
Service was great, breakfast tacos are fire. My caramel latte lacked a caramel flavor, but that's a risk you take with lattes, I'm used to it. My friends' brown sugar lattes were delicious. We got dog treats for our pup & sat outside on the deck, it was very nice!

Yelp
Peaceful and relaxing place. Kind and helpful staff. Great menu options that made it tough to decide. Delicious food! I'll be back!

Yelp
Have visited this establishment several times since it opened. Have tried most things on the menu. The brewed coffee is good, but haven't yet found that menu item that is really yummy. The establishment is dog friendly with a nice covered porch and patio if you bring Fido. The staff seem warm and welcoming but the kitchen and therefore the service can be easily be overwhelmed with more than a trickle of customers.

Yelp
I wanted to cry when I came here. I have so much memories of Lula Jane's but I'm happy to say this place is just as good. I think I can see myself coming here often. The banana bread were so good, so moist. I had quiche of the day. It was very fluffy and good. The crust was flaky. The sausage gravy and biscuit was so good. Again, the biscuit was very fluffy. I think coffee was a miss for me. Something about coffee that I didn't like? Maybe it's the brand?

Yelp
Enjoyed a Saturday morning breakfast today. The Merit coffee was fantastic. We tried the Parmesan herb biscuit, the quiche, and a breakfast taco. We also had the Saturday special, French toast bake. All of the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was perfectly casual and comfortable. Wonderful way to kickstart the day!

Yelp
Someone recommended this place. We decided to try and it was very hard to see, no signs. We got their biscuits and they were very good. I have to say I was disappointed in the coffee. The taste was good, but they only serve one very small size for a high price and then want to charge another dollar for a refill. At least offer two different sizes. The people working there were super nice but overall I would say average place.

Yelp
Great power bowls, and stuff like quiche. Great service, fun quirky atmosphere. Good coffee near downtown.
