Seattle’s Best Vegetarian Restaurants - Eater Seattle

"Next door to the Amazon Spheres in Denny Triangle, this vegetarian cafe serves a mostly breakfast and lunch crowd a light take on the Middle Eastern cuisine of its sibling restaurant, the Capitol Hill standout Mamnoon. Along with mezze, salads, and stews, there’s an emphasis on made-to-order juices and tea." - Matthew Lombardi

The bowls here are for anyone craving delicious and vibrant Middle Eastern cuisine. My recent visit was an overall enjoyable experience, with only a few minor areas that could use some improvement. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern and inviting, with a chic decor that complements the energetic vibe of the Amazon Doppler Building. The seating is comfortable, and the layout is well-designed, making it a great place to enjoy a meal whether you're dining solo or with a group. The menu offers a fantastic selection of Middle Eastern dishes, from savory shawarmas and flavorful falafels to deliciously spiced hummus and fresh salads. The ingredients are clearly high-quality, and the flavors are bold and authentic. I particularly enjoyed the lamb shawarma, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portions are generous, providing excellent value for the price. The staff are friendly and attentive. They were quick to greet us upon arrival and took the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. Their knowledge and enthusiasm for the food added to the positive dining experience. One of the highlights of dining here is the quick service, which is ideal for a lunch spot in a bustling area like the Amazon Doppler Building. Despite the lunchtime rush, our food was prepared and served promptly without compromising on quality. the seating area can get quite crowded during peak hours, making it a bit challenging to find a spot. Additionally, while the food is generally excellent, there were a couple of items that could use a bit more seasoning to enhance the flavors further. Overall, it is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy flavorful and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. With its vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food, it's a great spot for a quick and satisfying meal. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning for more!h trying.

I tried out this place for the first time for a really late lunch and was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. I got a basmati rice and hummus bowl with the tomatillo chicken and chickpeas as my protein, and the labneh and sumac pomegranate vinaigrette as my sauces. It was $14 for the bowl, but the portion sizes are REALLY generous, could definitely make 2 meals or be shared with someone else. The tomatillo chicken, labneh, and hummus were the standouts of the bowl. The chicken was moist, flavorful, and had a nice tang to it. And the labneh and hummus were great complements to the chickpeas and all the veg. The veg itself was super fresh, the tomatoes they use are next-level. The sumac pomegranate vinaigrette had a really unique flavor -- it tasted like candy almost, so might not be everyone's thing. I went 30 min before closing and they were out of some protein options, so if you want the full set of options, might be worth going earlier. I'd give 5 stars but found some small stems in my food that weren't pleasant to bite into. Despite that, I'd come here again. You get a very tasty and healthy meal for a decent price.

Amazing Middle eastern / Mediterranean food. Ordered a bowl with brown rice and quinoa as the base, protein ranging from meat balls and lamb, and the add-ons added the whole flavor. I dont remember what I got but it was delicious.

This is my to go lunch place and I added it to my favorite list as well. The quantity and quality is surely nice. I always take build-your-own-bowl and never have I been disappointed. Their chicken swarama + lentil combo is boost of protein. Their hummus is my favorite. Service is quick. Its mostly a take out place but few chairs are there. I would surely recommend it.

What a cool place. The mujadara bowl was fantastic. Their sister cafe Mamnoon Street has a story long line now that SLU is getting crowded at lunch again so tried it and will definitely come back. Update May 26, 2023: they no longer serve the Shwarmini tacos at Mamnoon Street, only at Anar now. Tried them today, very disappointed they were 1/3 the size they used to be at Mamnoon Street, the cauliflower taco was cold, the two chicken tacos had about 2 tablespoons of meat on them and hardly any sauce, pickles, they used to have. I told the woman at Mamnoon Street so hope they will fix

One of my favorite places for healthy food. Each items are handcrafted and with fresh ingredients! My favorite is their kale avocado salad and mujadara bowl.. I am not so impressed with balila as I found the crackers a bit salty but liked the fateh bowl. They serve chai and different drink options which is an added bonus ! The price is on the higher side but definitely the dine in experience is worth the price.

I recently enjoyed a meal at Street Eats and I must say, the experience was exceptional. I opted for a custom bowl featuring an array of wholesome ingredients including hummus, brown rice, chicken, lamb, assorted veggies (excluding fried onions), radish, cilantro, parsley, green salsa, and a garlic-infused sauce. The freshness and crunchiness of the pickled veggies added a wonderful dimension to the dish. While the flavors were vibrant and the ingredients were undoubtedly fresh, I found the overall saltiness a bit overpowering, particularly in the hummus. Perhaps offering a side of bread to balance out the saltiness or considering wraps as an alternative base could be beneficial. Additionally, I indulged in slices of their buttery orange cardamom butter cake and baklava, both of which were yummy. The baklava, in particular, was a standout with its perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. However, I found the butter cake slightly too sweet, and omitting the simple syrup could potentially enhance its appeal. On the bright side, the staff was friendly, and the location, just a short 5-minute walk from the Courthouse, made it incredibly convenient.

Whenever I am downtown & need to eat quickly, but something healthful, not another sandwich;) I look forward to dropping in to Mamnooncita. Yesterday I ordered a wonderful lentil bowl, very generous portion, absolutely delicious. I wanted the tacos, but I had those last week👀. Thank you!❤️ ps the Cardamon, pistachio & yogurt cake🫣 I indulged!

Yelp
An all-around disappointing experience! I stopped in for lunch and was excited for the option to customize my own rice bowl. This is always great with poke places and I very much appreciate flexibility in dining. When I walked in, there was no one else in the place, save for one worker. As soon as she saw me she said "I can help the next person in line" which I thought was a little odd since I was the only one there. I noticed you can order two "base" options which was confirmed when I asked. I went with the basmati rice and pita bread which was listed as three pieces. Next, I opted for the lamb which was $4 extra but it's worth the added cost when the flavor is good. I added some lettuce, sauce and hummus (I like to keep it simple) and was all set. With a soda (warm can from the cooler) ordered, my cost pre-tip was $21. I always leave a tip, so that's on me but the cost on a small bowl was pretty steep. The meal itself was just not good. The lamb was ground, which in my head I think I was expecting gyro since the place gave off Mediterranean vibes. Not much flavor in the lamb and it probably one smallish scoop. The pita was one piece, fairly dry and thin and at the bottom of the bowl, so there was no way to eat it easily and it certainly was not three pieces. The rice was fine and bland, the hummus wasn't bad, but nothing special. Maybe if you pile on more vegetables, it can disguise the small amount of meat and otherwise uninspired toppings, but it just did not work well for me. With the food not being great and the service best described as giving off the impression of being a bother, I was just really bummed about this whole experience.

Yelp
This will be my second or third time ordering from Mamnooncita. It seems like the orders come out consistent every time. I usually order the build your own bowl, and loved that you can customize all the ingredients and sauces to your own likings. So fresh, light, yet still flavorful and filling! This place never disappoints for healthy lunch fixings.

Yelp
Tasty and filling Mediterranean style bowl. There are lots of options if you want to build-your-own. I opted for a rice/hummus base and added labneh, pickled veg (cauliflower and turnips- yum!), marinated feta (delish!), soft-boiled egg (perfectly cooked). Everything was fantastic, but the add-ons add-up quickly. My bowl was $29 before tax, tip, and delivery. A bit pricey for a bowl-style place but the ingredients are all really good.

Yelp
I got the bowl with both types of chicken (one shredded one not), along with spinach/kale, rice, and some Tahiti sauce. I'm not a fan of picked vegetables so I didn't get any of those. But next time I'll try adding a soft boiled egg. It tastes pretty good!

Yelp
Great place to stop by for a quick and healthy balanced meal! Each protein is flavored very uniquely and I can tell they use a lot of spices would highly recommend the shawarminis!
