I recently enjoyed a meal at Street Eats and I must say, the experience was exceptional. I opted for a custom bowl featuring an array of wholesome ingredients including hummus, brown rice, chicken, lamb, assorted veggies (excluding fried onions), radish, cilantro, parsley, green salsa, and a garlic-infused sauce. The freshness and crunchiness of the pickled veggies added a wonderful dimension to the dish.
While the flavors were vibrant and the ingredients were undoubtedly fresh, I found the overall saltiness a bit overpowering, particularly in the hummus. Perhaps offering a side of bread to balance out the saltiness or considering wraps as an alternative base could be beneficial.
Additionally, I indulged in slices of their buttery orange cardamom butter cake and baklava, both of which were yummy. The baklava, in particular, was a standout with its perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. However, I found the butter cake slightly too sweet, and omitting the simple syrup could potentially enhance its appeal.
On the bright side, the staff was friendly, and the location, just a short 5-minute walk from the Courthouse, made it incredibly convenient.
