Google
Gay Bar for predominately men 40’s yrs old plus, does not exclude women. Great atmosphere and lively patio. Active afternoons - 10:00 pm+/- Good friendly crowd! No food! Not a restaurant! Wall seating, some tables, large bar with seating. Events with small stage on certain nights. Has huge chandelier over bar that is decorated for every holiday!

Aaron G. Beebe — Owner of GonnaHappen Streetbar – Palm Springs Streetbar is one of those classic Palm Springs spots where the vibe hits instantly — friendly, fun, and full of personality. The staff is welcoming, the drinks are solid, and the crowd brings that true Palm Springs community energy. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual drink or looking to enjoy the nightlife scene, this place delivers every time. A great spot with good people, cool atmosphere, and the kind of local charm you can’t fake. Definitely worth a visit. #Streetbar #PalmSprings #GonnaHappen

Google
We had a fun afternoon at this bar today during Labor day weekend. Friendly crowd and the best ( Stiff ) drinks in Arenas. Bartender was nice and friendly. So much better than those in Weho’s.

Google
One of the best bars on Arenas. Such a fun atmosphere and amazingly attentive service. This is a go-to bar for the "scene" in Palm Springs. Get there early on Fridays!

Google
Terrible service. Rude staff. Waited 20mins still no Latte. They don't care. Says its the system. Come on get your act together.

Google
Lovely spot to unwind after work. The lighting is soft, and the playlist was a nice mix of chill indie and soul. I had a gin and tonic that was perfectly made — lots of fresh lime and just the right amount of tonic. The bartender was friendly and remembered my name by the second visit, which made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time. The bar snacks are surprisingly good too — highly recommend the truffle popcorn.

Google
My favorite bar in Palm Springs! Great bartenders, great lounge singer, and great prices for great drinks!! I will always come back here whenever I'm in PS. Great times and very friendly people!

Ken P.

Google
Great place to celebrate with old and new friends. Attracts a mature crowd and very popular. Great drinks. Nice patio on Arenas. Stage with live talent. Christmas Eve was a great singer performing Frank Sinatra hits. Often filled to capacity with a line waiting to come in. Very friendly crowd having a great time.

Yelp
Great Kareoke night on Sundays. This is a very friendly, and welcoming bar. The chocolate Martinis are phenomenal as is the service and cost. What a difference from the bar three doors down! Only thing they can improve on here is the cleanliness. Bathrooms were kinda nasty
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great crowd no matter what time of day, on slower hours there are usually a nice friend crowd of people around the bar or outside. Been our favorite bar for decades and we learned recently that now they do take cards and remodeled the bathroom to fit more people in. That is a big deal when its crowded and you have two single use bathrooms meaning long lines, now it is not as bad. Wow am I doing a bathroom review?

Yelp
This was easily our favorite bar in Palm Springs, gay or otherwise, bar none. Bar none? Bar plenty. Yes, Jamie W and I were doing a bit of a late afternoon bar crawl on Arenas Road which if you don't know, is Gay Central in PS. It's only two sides of one block where at least a half-dozen gay bars dominate the area. We only hit three of them, so we weren't that focused on pure debauchery or impure for that matter. I knew I was going to like this bar almost immediately because the bartenders looked pretty close to my age. So did a lot of the customers with just a sprinkling of twinks probably here on sponsorship if you know what I mean. It was fairly crowded but not impossibly so. We were able to sit comfortably at the bar where friendly locals chatted us up. We felt right at home. Drinks were sure reasonably priced at Happy Hour, just $8 each. Jamie had a Margarita, while I went for my standard Espresso Martini (photo: https://yelp.to/SlN2hmOqyF). They hit the spot, and that was just for starters. DRINKS - 5 stars...convivial libations well priced AMBIANCE - 5 stars...just the right mix and setting for us SERVICE - 5 stars...they keep on top of things TOTAL - 5 stars...just a friendly spot we will return to RELATED - Exploring Palm Springs? Yelp
Streetbar on Arenas Road is the neighborhood bar for locals and travelers! It's inviting lighting, square bar, various tall booth tables and patio seating make for some great leisure exploits inside as well as overlooking the street of fellow local bars and businesses, including Hunter's next door, Dick's directly across the way as well as Chill Bar and Quad's. The seating goes fast both inside and out, but the drinks never run out... Nor do the tunes. Karaoke Nights are abundant, but that like the bar itself fills up quickly as well... You can sign up near the stage toward the back half of the main bar area, which also has a row of chairs on every side. They do accept card or cash most days or nights, though during pride and major event weekends it was cash only... ATM in back just across from the stage. Bartenders and barbacks are nothing but friendly and witty. You enjoy drink specials daily, though Ketel One seems to be the consistent $7 base of choice... See various days of the week for additional fan favs. Great entertainment, including live performers, drag queens and more. I'd say it's a good mix of people, but definitely older gen jolly. One of the most inviting queer spaces on Arenas, hence that line that seems to form when they're at capacity to get in... If you know, you know! Usually not too bad of a wait at all... The line (when present) moves at a good pace, with some beats in-between. Great AC and great energy all around. Q-Tip: While they don't have an active website, they do have a very active Facebook w/ frequent updates. Easy street parking for streetbar throughout the area, limited handicap spots as they go quick and a free parking structure just a light up at Indian Canyon /Baristo Rd

Yelp
Great drinks not Weak by any means Friendly bar staff clean restrooms if you need food Blackbook or Hunters is with in 500 feet. And hunters delivers

Yelp
Worst experience ever. Dudes were mean. Thought they were going to kick our asses for being women. Just stopped off cause some dude said we had to check it out. I've never experienced sexism in my life but yeah sorry dudes I stepped into your turf. But they didn't have to be so mean. I accepted you why couldn't have accepted me. It was an ugly experience.

Yelp
One of my fave places, I intend to meet my 'intended' perhaps here- a warm, friendly fellow! I love coming here...

Yelp
Happy New 2024 Year Palm Springs!!! Complementary food, complementary French, champagne, DJ spinning some bomb-Ass tunes all night, and a very happy crowd. All were satisfied and ALL were in the mood to party! No other place to get your drink on than at STREETBAR on Arenas Road .... Palm Springs, Ca.

Ashley M.

Yelp
First time at this Bar, and bartenders were super friendly and music was awesome! Definitely going again

Rich B.

Yelp
StreetBar is the BEST bar in Palm Springs. Super friendly staff, fantastic drinks, great clientele. I always feel welcome when I go there. (it's the only bar I go to when visiting) because of the atmosphere. Get there early as a line will form and you will have to wait to get in as per occupancy rules.
google avatar

Atul P.

Yelp
Raucous, fun, strong drinks. What else is there to say? Oh, and great music! FUN! FUN! FUN!
google avatar

Mylesha D.

Yelp
Getting there: Located on Arenas street across the street from Chill Bar. Parking can be found on the street, in the side lot next to the bar or if those are full you can always park in the parking structure on Indian Canyon. Experience: I had never been here before and when I went out with a group of my guy friends they wanted to come here for karaoke. This bar has an older crowd, and it's not very big but it still seems like it's a great time.

Yelp
Having been to palms Springs so many of times. This was actually my first actually having a drink here. I did walk in about a year ago but the vibe wasn't there so I never really experience it then. But first time here, it was nice. Of course during covid, it was pretty quiet. And it also happened to be when they started to open back up after months of being closed. They have all the safety precaution that needed to be dealt with. The safe distancing before walking in. They have the temperature check as well. Ordering drinks, there's also the plastic divider. I don't remember if it was cash only. There's inside and patio seating. I notice someone changing the music so I believe there was a jukebox on site. They kept it cleaned and ready for the next guest per table. There's a card that you place on top to let the staff and other patron know that the table is utilized. One side letting them know that your using the table and flip it over when tone done. This visit, it's was mellow as bars were slowly started to open up. And I think it caters to the older crowd and locals. But still enjoyed myself.

Yelp
Strong, cheap cocktails. Fun, friendly people. Fast service. Cash only but easy ATM inside. Had a ton of fun here.

Yelp
There's time I want it thick! But today I needed it skinny. Best Skinny Margaritas on Arenas by Ruffizz

Yelp
Street Bar is a bar in Palm Springs, CA which I visited over the past many years. My last time there on March 13, 2021 was extremely disturbing. Someone or some persons in the bar drugged my drink. I was found unconscious on the bathroom floor of Street Bar by one of their employees. The employee took me outside on their patio and left me there to "stand up" and left me. As a result of being drugged unknowingly, I fell again and broke my shoulder. End result, three major breaks , two fractures, and a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder. Be VERY CAREFUL in that bar as drinks are drugged by people in that bar. Never leave your drink unattended!

Yelp
I've been coming to this place with my partner and I for a few years now. I for a small location it's great for good drinks and a fun time. We always enjoy the karaoke and getting to just sit in the ambience of the older gay bar.. their weekly specials are really great because they do a new drink special every day throughout the week

Steven R.

Yelp
As a person who doesn't drink I'm quite disappointed. The bartender told me that they don't deal with free loaders ( I asked him for water twice) the bald queen. The crowd is awesome. They're all much older and very nice, except for that bartender who is a c*nt
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
Small gay bar. There are two rooms and the patio. The crowd is 40+. The music the night I went was 80's if I recall. My drink was good and the staff was friendly. I think it would be a fun bar with a drag show or if they did a theme night like show tunes.
google avatar

Larry C.

Yelp
The place is always busy. Which speaks to how it is run and the staff The crowd here shifts as the day and evening progress. There are many locals who are regulars and there is an appeal to visitors - clear from the line around the corner so often to get in. And it's a diverse crowd.
google avatar

Yelp
A friend described the drinks at Street Bar as, "nearly 3/4th liquor with a splash of soda." ::my eyes widened:: (Me, trying to sound casual:) "Oh you don't say?" So, of course, I made my way there. It was a Saturday night and the $7 drink special was Effen vodka; smooth and much cheaper than a $13 mixed drink I had at a bar across the street. Overall Street Bar has a friendly atmosphere and it's a great opener as you arrive to Arenas St.
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
Street Bar is always a great time! Great drinks, super friendly staff, great music and a older crowd, looking to enjoy themselves. Good stuff! Go out there and have a great time! :)

Yelp
I've been coming to Arenas for years and never felt the need to stop by Street Bar because let's face it, this bar doesn't look like the most appealing of establishments from the outside. But once a local introduced me to how fun thus spot could be, I really learned to like it here. I had been once before for a very quick stop but upon my second visit, My eyes were opened thanks to the kindness of my local friend and all of his friends. I went the Sunday of Pride weekend and Street bar had a really great vibe. Before you think it was only fun because I was there fore Pride, let me point out that I've been since and had fun each and every time I've visited. Just know this. Drinks are strong, drinks are cheap, need I say more? I think not.... can't wait until my next visit where my two vodka sodas will do the job and allow me to have a fun evening or Sunday Funday!

Yelp
I had a wonderful time here about a month ago when I was in town with my family. We came in with my mom and dad, my brother and his husband, my sis and her husband, and my hubby and me. We were warmly welcomed, offered seats, and served strong, delicious drinks. It was busy but a guy saw I'd been waiting and gave up his spot in line to direct the bartender's attention my way - as if to say, I'm a regular, I can wait, take care of the tourists. We'd been drinking Rose Kennedys all day so we kept it going. I've never seen such a strong pour! Even though my parents were happy to stand, several groups offered them their seats. We finally accepted because it seemed many were just too polite to let my parents stand. It was so charming. News of coronoavirus was starting to make its way into the mainstream, and we knew this week would be our last time to be with my brother for a while, he'll go back to the bay area and we'll go home to Oklahoma. I doubt we will see him for a year, and honestly if that's all my family has to endure we will count ourselves so lucky. We were just enjoying the karaoke (some amazing singers in the crowd). Then my sweet 70 year old dad observed such a sobering fact. He said, many of the men in here (many seemed to be 50+) had already survived an epidemic, had already been through so much as a community. He's right, of course, but I was just kind of in awe to get that glimpse inside his head. I hope we're back in Palm Springs before we know it, and back at Street Bar.

Yelp
Older gay clientele. Drinks are crazy strong so be careful! They have a $7.00 daily pour featuring premium booze. Always busy. Smoking patio. What's not to like? Seriously, be careful because the drinks are so strong!

Richard B.

Yelp
Great drinks Great clientele. Fun fun fun. It feels nice to feel appreciated by the staff of a bar. Lots of interesting folks to visit with.

Yelp
EXTREMELY SEXIST BAR - MY PARTNER AND I WERE KICKED OUT FOR POLITELY ASKING THE BARTENDER TO NOT REFER TO US AS LADIES One thing to know about me is that I am a very quiet and timid individual. I never cause a scene and become extremely uncomfortable if I feel embarrassed. I cannot believe I am writing a Google review. I never do, but this is an important experience to share. I was deeply disappointed and disgusted by my recent experience at Streetbar. I go in with my lesbian friends every once in a while. We are all young and afab so when we walk into a room with predominately cis white men, it's not very welcoming. However, this is one of the only places that has ac and most of us are disabled so it's easier for us to sit and enjoy each others company. As a staunch advocate for inclusivity and respect for all individuals, I was appalled to witness the overt discrimination against transgender, autistic, afab individuals people during my visit. You are not welcome if you are anything other than a white gay man and they make that well known. Just look at who posts the good reviews vs the bad ones. Most of the bad ones are about them discriminating against minorities. NOT OKAY. Maybe read a book? Idk
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Fun rating 5 stars, food was ok for bar food. Great atmosphere & games. Fun staff. Worst Moscow mule ever. Would go again and order a cider or seltzer.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
In response to Maureen B. I worked at Streetbar for 16 years until retirement, so many wonderful people, staff and patrons. Too bad you have to take your anger out on an establishment that has given more than you can imagine to the community just because someone sends an unverified piece of hate mail to you. Sorry you had a bad experience there. I'd tell you to give it another try but it seems you've already made up your mind. On a better note ... I love Streetbar! Great staff the best pour drinks in the valley and good down to earth patrons. Cheers to the staff and owners for 28 years!
google avatar

Maurine B.

Yelp
Sadly, I went here with friends and was the only woman in the bar. i was asked "why are you here?" Then, was essentially accessed as being a mass shooter-when I said It's not like I have an ak47. Women are not welcome here. Of course, u showed my small purse. Shameful.

William H.

Yelp
Every time I come in here, the wine glasses are even smaller than they were the previous visit. I would not be surprised if they started serving wine in thimble sized glasses.
google avatar

N Q.

Yelp
Despite the information on yelp, they are **NOT dog friendly. ** Nor are they particularly friendly about that either. 2 stars and a big "ok boomer".
google avatar

Joey C.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff. Was told "someone will be with you." After 20 minutes of no one coming I went directly to the bar and got a drink. 20 minutes later I went back to the bar but this time it's a different bartender with apparently a black eye. I asked for a drink and he asked me to return to my seat. I said no one came to ask me for my order and the manager came and He said " I know it doesn't seem like it, but we're busy. If you don't like it, you can leAve. " I swear I have never been treated this badly all because I wanted a drink and they won't let me get a drink from the bartender. Can you believe it? Ur loss!
google avatar

fausto d.

Yelp
they would not allow me to bring my service animal and embarrass me I didn't call the police and the police told them that was illegal the owner is not friendly and rude they serve good drinks but they over poor people walk out of that place drunk and driving they are irresponsible and are causing accidents by either over pouring for their clients I've seen ambulances come get people because they were over serve them this business needs to be accountable first of all service animals are allowed second you're endangering the community by over pouring too bad because it is a nice bar but they're doing illegal business
google avatar

Jacob D.

Yelp
Not a bad watering hole in the smack of the gayborhood. Prices are competitive with the other bars a hop and a skip away.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Street Bar is a favorite for meeting friends for drinks before dinner. Very lively between 4pm and 7pm. Proof of vaccination required per city ordinance and the bouncer at the door is upbeat and thanks everyone. The crowd tends to be older at this time, but younger people are very welcome. The drink specials feature a different top shelf vodka each day of the week. Nice! Half the large video screens play music videos while the other have other entertainment with closed captions. There's usually a waiter working the floor taking drink orders and the back bar is open ofter 4pm on the weekends. All-in-all this place has a very nice vibe.

Jim S.

Yelp
Great drinks. Older crowd, conversational atmosphere, This is a talking bar not a club. Only downside in my opinion, is too many nights with karaoke. 4 out of 7 is too much. Otherwise, if you are of the daddy crowd, or like the daddy crowd, this is where you want to be.
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
This is in response to Maureen B and Al who seem to be having a little bit of a fit on Yelp regarding Streetbar over an altercation that we tried to resolve a month ago. As owner and manager of Streetbar for 28 years we have tried to be a community watering hole ,diverse and welcoming. I cannot respond to what a customer says to another as unfair and disrespectful as those comments were. Please know that we try very hard to provide a safe ,happy community place for people from all walks of life. We are predominately a gay bar but we welcome everyone. I am lucky and grateful to have the best staff in the valley and we are open to resolution of misunderstandings and conflicts. No one on our staff searched a purse or accused anyone of the threat of gun violence. Please don't perpetuate hate , hate speech or threats about a hometown small business David Farnsworth and Conrad Riley owners
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
No Cliques. No Attitude. No Drama. As soon as you walk into Streetbar you are automatically a friend to everyone there. Very friendly, fun place.
google avatar

Anna N.

Yelp
The people here are so nice for someone as skeptical as I. They're so genuinely gay, too. In a joie de vivre sense, first and foremost and most importantly. The bartenders, locals and KJ - the KJ, this sweet, elderly man who would sing sometimes with special local guests in between. They let me sing so many songs one night, with little wait or turnover in a packed house...and someone even handed me song requests on a slip of paper...a record for me of songs sung in a night in a karaoke bar, made here. As if that weren't torture enough. Entertainment, baby. If I were a local, this would definitely be a regular part of my weekly routine. Love the diverse age range of the entire clientele.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Great bartenders, and a fun, usually local and older crowd. For the options on Arenas - best bar.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Its almost thanksgiving. Come on folks, come out to the street bar and say hello-- to me. I will standing there waiting to hear from you. The virus is a real thing and can do real harm and even death. Lets take care of ourselves and of others and be happy and be gay this year.
google avatar

Yelp
Karaoke in a gay bar!!! Who doesn't love that!?? This place is across the street from Gaymart and is the epitome of Palm Springs and all that it's gay reputation stands for. Low security, high energy, friendly crowd, and a super cute waiter named Addison. Sorry ladies, I was just as disappointed as you to find out that he's no different from the patrons he serves! Mostly older men and I get the sense that ladies should only come if they are in welcome company. Yes, obnoxious straight bachelorette parties might want to stay away! Drinks are definitely well priced and the karaoke entertainment is well worth the cover charge of zero. Retro feel and great vibe for a memorable night! I will definitely be back!! Only downside is that it's not a huge music selection nor is what they have up to date but there's some good classics ready to be rocked out to!

Yelp
I'm from L.A., I'm straight and I cannot get enough of a Street Bar Named Desire!! Each time I go to Palm Springs, I make it a point to come have a long island iced tea or five, make new friends, and karaoke! The interior of the bar is not reflective of a street bar whatsoever. New art is displayed on the blue walls, the actual bar is located in the center with a chandelier on top of it, leather bar stools surrounding the bar, leather bar stools and seats on each opposite end of the wall, and shimmery beading as the backdrop of the karaoke. The bar is usually inhabited by a majority of older gay guys, but the crowd is diverse all together and lots of fun! Most of the people there are ready to party, especially when the drinks are cheap, delicious, and made the way I like them -- stiff! I've never had a bad time here and I can't imagine that ever happening. Karaoke is from Sun-Wed, so I'd suggest to go sometime then. Tranma's in an all leather outfit with big hair, full makeup, singing Jefferson Airplane WITH a tambourine?! Yes, please!

Yelp
Purchased a home in PS about a year and a half ago, however, I've been coming to this bar for many years. My ultimate favorite for all times I have traveled to PS. Tonight, my partner and I came in for cocktails as we always do on Saturday evening after work. Sat at the bar and after using the restroom, some idiot patron attempted to claim a bar stool when I returned. He became aggressive and attempted to push me and my partner. Bartender witnessed the later part of incident and yelled at us and asked us to leave. Problem with this is that he did not witness drunk patron pushing me off the stool!! We had been there for at least a couple of hours without incident. Staff should keep a closer look at what is going on before asking patrons to leave. Extremely disappointed at this place and the way they chose to fix this problem. Shame on you for trying to "school" us without knowing who initiated the problem!! Extremely disappointed in the staff and management tonight.

Yelp
This place is truly a gem. My friend and I had to venture out to the desert from LA for a photoshoot. We decided to stay a night in Palm Springs and hit the town. Our Uber driver brought us here because everything else was dead on a Monday night. So glad though! I wish I knew the bartenders name but the drinks were strong and delicious so my memory is a little fuzzy. Karaoke, strong drinks, friendly regulars, and very welcoming! I will definitely be back! Palm Springs is magical, good vibes all around.

Zack S.

Yelp
Seriously offended... my girl, friend... went out ready treat us all to a good night WE stop by THIS bar and as soon as SHE sat downs she was told... "you needs to BUY a drink to sit at the bar top." Not even a second after sitting down!... she was already ready to buy a drink... the place is garbage In my opinion! They need to be more open to all patrons no matter their sexuality... the place wasn't even busy on this MONDAY night! They could have used the business toNIGHT!!!!!!!
